i am deeply interested in what exactly is the "chuuya vs kotatsu" thingy 👀

I explained it a bit more fully in this post, but basically it's a fic about Dazai getting a kotatsu and Chuuya getting jealous of how much time Dazai is spending under it, and it's going to be fairly short and silly once I finally sit down and finish it! Here's another little excerpt from it under the cut:

Chuuya stood stock still in the doorway to the living room, mouth dropped open in outrage.

Dazai had actually fallen asleep under the kotatsu! Instead of coming to bed! He was curled up on his side with the blanket pulled up over his waist, snoring gently against the tatami mats, and Chuuya was seething.

Was the picture Dazai presented adorable and domestic? Yes, and part of Chuuya wanted to take a picture just to capture Dazai looking so soft and unguarded, but he was far too preoccupied with his rising feelings of ill-usage to give in to the urge. He was finally home, only to be greeted with this? Since when could Dazai last this long without clinging to him like an octopus? It was bullshit! Dazai was engaged to Chuuya, not this damn interloper!

Chuuya stalked forward to stand over Dazai, arms crossed and glowering. He watched as Dazai’s back rose and fell slightly with quiet breaths, his curls partially screening his face.

…Well, Chuuya certainly wasn’t about to let Dazai sleep on the floor; the detective would whine all throughout the next day if he woke up with an ache in his neck. So with an irritable huff, Chuuya bent down and pulled Dazai up into his arms, freeing him from the kotatsu's insidious blanket.

Even in his sleep, Dazai immediately leant into him, letting out a pleased little murmur that sounded vaguely like Chuuya’s name as he nuzzled against Chuuya’s shoulder. The gesture was sweet enough to calm Chuuya’s ire somewhat, and he pressed a kiss against Dazai’s temple as he carried his fiancé back towards their bedroom.

He sent a parting glare at the kotatsu as he went. It may have won the battle that evening, but Chuuya was still getting his cuddles, so he decided to let it live. For the time being.

Mortem ad Wrens Chapter 17: For the Freedom of Those Our Nation Denies

As they geared up for the third day’s evening patrol, Akira kept trying to adjust their capture weapon, something causing it to sit askew. After a moment of trying to undo a lump, they directed it to unravel and saw a small lizard napping in it. Grinning, Akira took a picture of it and sent it to their class group chat and Lizzaro once Taishiro happily gave them her number. Akira scooped the lizard off the scarf, being careful to detangle its tiny claws, and set it on their now-empty costume case.

An hour into patrol, everyone’s phone sounded an alarm as Hosu was attacked. Akira blanched and quickly texted the class group chat, “Those in or going to Hosu, stay safe. Don’t do anything illegal.”

Shoto liked their message, but they weren’t expecting Ida to see it for a while. It’s the thought that counts, right?

“Any friends in Hosu?” Taishiro asked gently.

‘Mini Ingenium’s interning there, and it looks like Shoto is heading there with Endeavor,’

“We’re too far out to send people, but the backup evening team will be ready to deploy if they need more people that badly.”

Akira nodded and put their phone away, hoping their classmates would follow protocol for once. Mortis helped a cat down from a tree, letting the poor thing ride in their capture scarf as they carefully climbed back down. Fat Gum discretely took a picture, chuckling at Mortis’ half-hearted glare that was tempered by the cat nuzzling under against the mottled scar across their throat.

“Nejire is also responding in Hosu with Ryukyu,” Suneater said as the group quietly patrolled. Even Fat Gum only tried to lighten the mood a couple times, keeping an eye on the HN for updates.

Half an hour later, Mortis’ phone vibrated. They immediately paused with a roll halfway to their mouth and pulled it out. ‘Deku’s caught up in something, and it looks like mini Ingenium is at the same location.’

Fat Gum sent out a Hero Network alert with what little information they had, two interns either separated from their mentors or with injured mentors in an alleyway. Mortis quickly messaged the group that the alert had been sent to the Hero Network and pinged Shoto in case he hadn’t seen it yet.

The trio waited tensely by the sushi shop as Endeavor and Manual added themselves as responders along with a few of the flame hero’s sidekicks. The minutes ticked by until it was marked as resolved with no casualties but two students moderately injured, one pro and one student severely injured, and Stain severely injured in custody.

Akira sighed in relief and frustration, ‘I’d bet my savings mini Ingenium got there first, and Deku swooped in to help. He wouldn’t have targeted Manual, so Native is probably the injured pro.’

“Native? What makes you say that?” Fat Gum asked.

‘There is a list compiled by people with similar ideologies to Stain of people who need to be taken down in some way. Native is on there for racism, multiple counts of assault, and helping to cover up crimes against indigenous people.’ At Fat Gum’s confusion, Mortis gave their theory on why Ingenium was attacked and not killed.

The three went back to a quiet but tense patrol as it seemed everyone was waiting on news from Hosu. Towards the end of their shift, Fat Gum took the group a little off their patrol route and smiled at Akira’s confused head tilt. “On Wednesdays, I like to check on the battered spouse and community shelters. No matter how much we promote education and therapy for abuse, there are a few who slip through the cracks.”

‘And the community shelters?’ Mortis asked. ‘Are they just a nicer term for unhoused shelters?’

Suneater smiled slightly, “No, anyone from the community or who ends up here can have a place to stay with warm meals, education, and a counselor. The shelters have an emergency foster license they can employ at their discretion, and since we implemented those, we’ve found runaways or abuse victims are more likely to reach out when something’s wrong.”

Fat Gum let one of the intake people take them on a tour of the battered spouse shelter. As they spoke with some of the staff in each wing, a few residents would occasionally approach who had an issue with services. Some were also curious about Akira as his newest, albeit temporary, addition to the agency.

As the tour was wrapping up in the birthing person ward, Akira hesitantly asked, ‘Do you have any protections in place for spouses of pro heroes or villains?’

“Why yes, we have a Tinker on staff who has a support license to help protect the building against most quirk-based attacks. We also have evacuation plans in case the facility is attacked.”

The community shelter left Mortis wishing they had something like it in Musutafu. While the warehouses were protected, a place where you could continue education, not have to worry about your next meal, and start saving money would have made a world of difference when Mortis arrived. They found themself easily talking with the kids, encouraging their dreams and letting them share their interests. The adults still made them a little wary, visually and subtly verbally checking the kids for abuse, but they all seemed to be thriving as best they could in the circumstances.

Eventually heading back to the agency, Mortis signed, ‘Thank you. If U.A. wasn’t so far away, I would wish I stopped here instead of going to Musutafu.’

A few days later, Mortis slipped into base, giving an exhausted smile to Au as they made their way to the back. Most people were making deliveries or deals or sleeping, so Mortis took silent steps until they were just outside Boss’ door, knocking for the first time in ages.

“Mortis, good to have you back. How was the internship?”

‘Good, Fat Gum updated my nutrition plan, and I’m working on a new skill. Unclear yet whether it’ll help on this side of my life, but we’ll see. Also, Fat Gum and Sun Eater are aware of my situation and are willing to help with and recruit for Plan A.’

“Unexpected but noted. Are they aware of us?”

‘Not by name, but they are aware I’m in a gang. With how quickly Fat Gum figured out my bio family, I doubt it’ll take him long to find out which gang I’m in if he decides to look into it.’

“Will they be a problem?” Boss groaned.

‘No, they work with gangs in Esuha, albeit with a tighter leash.’ Akira took a steadying breath, script set in their head. ‘I want to go on security duty. The new nutrition plan is going to take two and a half times what I’m currently making off deliveries. I know we’re still down people since the USJ incident, and I can be the shadow cloak or overwatch. I can intercept Eraser Head and draw off other heroes-’

“Done. Just stay out of the line of fire unless the muscle gives you the signal.”

Akira grinned, ‘Thanks, Boss. If everything goes well for once, you’ll be looking for someone new around October. Also, I’m gonna need to use the kitchen for a couple hours once a week.’

The next day in class, everyone was sharing their internships, and Akira resisted rolling their eyes at the trio saying Endeavor saved them. Riiight, definitely not a cover story. Bakugo seemed pretty happy in his own way with Mirko’s internship, and Kaminari seemed hyped for the alternate way of thinking Present Mic worked on with them. Akira was surprised by his admission of thinking Stain was cool, at least for his drive, and they carefully scanned the room for agreement, only to find disdain towards Kaminari and concern towards Ida. Shinso looked a little disappointed but mostly an emotion Akira couldn’t quite place.

Shinso’s capture scarf was now comfortably settled around his neck, and Akira grinned at the aesthetic choice. ‘Some hell course, huh? You look even more like Eraser now,’ they teased. Shinso just looked smug and nuzzled the fabric, drawing a laugh out of Akira and Koda.

Tokoyami was brooding more than usual, so Akira doodled a few stick figure Hawks getting doused in water and other pranks they’d heard of during homeroom. After passing it to Tokoyami during the break, Akira grinned at his small smile.

As the group made their way to Gym Gamma for rescue training, Akira kept glancing at Shinso’s new addition to his costume. Catching their eye, Akira signed, ‘Are you really okay with that?’

Shinso’s hands ghosted over their half mask as understanding sparked in his eyes. ‘It’s the most effective way to help advance my quirk, and Loud Cockatoo worked with me on the design and structure to avoid triggering. I need a lot of practice with the settings and with mimicking inflections, but yeah. I’m okay.’

Akira nodded hesitantly, worry still gnawing at the back of their mind over the muzzle-like contraption.

After Midoriya’s surprising demonstration of control, Akira went in the second rescue group for heroics with Jiro, Tokoyami, Shoto, and Shinso. Akira immediately heard the sharp tinkling of Shoto’s ice and warped onto the nearest building, surveying the terrain a moment before darting across the pipes. They could just make out Shinso in the distance using their capture weapon and Tokoyami using Dark Shadow’s hover to assist with larger jumps over top. Without an easy way to the canopy, Akira almost felt bad for Jiro being restricted to the ground.

Tokoyami, Akira, and Shoto were neck and neck, steps sure and quirks propelling them forward. Just as the twinkling stopped and Shoto activated his left side to propel the last few meters, Akira tapped All Might on the shoulder as they made their clone lose its footing. They winced as Tokoyami dove to catch them, only to dispel it with the force.

As the others caught up, Shoto bewildered, Tokoyami and Dark Shadow glared at Akira. “Don’t scare us like that! Give a warning next time.”

Akira smirked sheepishly, ‘If I warned you, you could’ve pulled ahead. I’ve been working on continued motion.’

Shinso lit up as they arrived. “You actually got it? That’s great!” But it wasn’t Shinso’s voice. It almost sounded like Tokoyami, but something was distinctly off.

‘That… I see what you’re going for, but you need a little more edge and intone.’

“How long have you been standing here?” All Might asked, handing the sash to Akira.

‘About 30 seconds before I tapped you. I’m still working on clone control.’ Akira signed as Anii interpreted, although they could tell All Might was starting to catch more of their signs in the moment.

Anii added to Akira, ‘You did good, kid.’

Jiro finally jogged up, looking pissed. “Of course, I got paired with aerial people. Who won?”

“I’m not aerial,” Shoto looked mildly confused.

“Yeah, but you might as well be with your ice,” Jiro snapped.

‘To answer your question, I won.’

Jiro scowled and stalked back to the class as the other four shrugged and made their way back, too.

“Are your clones new?” Shoto asked.

‘No, but how they work is. Fat Gum and Sun Eater helped me figure out how to direct them during my internship. Fine motor control and number of clones is still an issue, but that’ll come with time.’

Notes:

What’s the purpose of the lizard? None, I just thought it’d be cute. It’ll probably make an appearance in that collection of short stories. I used a random number generator to get the second rescue group based on the seating chart and immediately got three of the four members of Mad Banquet XD Also here's the first fanart I did of Akira! Technically they'd have their yellow contacts in, but I wanted to draw their cool eyes. Akira helping cat Next week things start heating up :D

— Do you think we have it all already?— Tamaki had asked, checking the red plastic basket full of groceries — We have the tapioca starch, fruits, milk...

— Yup, but guess what? —she turned to him with a playful twist of her head— You just won a coupon for a free meal cooked by yours truly. And I need some ingredients. The other day you said you were craving some pasta, right?

He swayed his head from side to side, barely containing a smile. Tamaki let himself be pulled further into the supermarket by their intertwined pinkies.

It was late in the afternoon when the weekly errands were finished and they settled back home for the night. It was an odd pretty thing, this routine both had built for their matching days off, whenever it was. It wasn't normally disrupted by a trip to the supermarket, but in Tamaki's book, quality time doesn't need a specific place to occur. The bought goods sat on the counter, while he rearranged them on their rightful places in the cabinet or the fridge. He had taken a pair of tomatoes from the bag, when she shamelessly stole them from his hands.

— Thanks, Tama, you're always such a gentleman —she teased and kissed his cheek before turning to the chopping board, light on her feet.

It wasn't out of the ordinary, but it was peculiar and funny to see her all...bubbly, like clear water from a stream. He laughed at her.

— You really are excited about making that pasta, wonder were that's coming from? —he got close to the sink, rolling up his sleeves.

— Nope, you're not working on this today, Hun —her hand went to his arm, stopping him from filling the pot with water.— This is my way to say thank you for all your hard work, it won't make sense if you're cooking too! This is your coupon, remember?

Tamaki could feel the heat on his face and the pickup of his heart rate.

— I-um... Okay. But at least let me prepare the boba tea. I want to thank you for your hard work too and —he spoke softly in a classic Tamaki fashion, looking at her right in her round eyes. He had become good at holding eye contact with other people. He thought it may have been due to her influence —, for putting up with me all this time.

She sat the knife on the chopping board, and her arms went to hang loosely around his neck— You know I'm not putting up with you, right? I'm here with you because I love you. I wouldn't be who I am now if it weren't for you, and believe me, I like who I am right now. Do you want me to remind you? —her voice was softer, lower like a whispered secret, as her fingertips rubbed his nape.

Tamaki shuddered under her touch and gaze. His nod was short, almost imperceptible under the weight of his shame. She hugged him tight, scratching his scalp and rubbing his nape. He felt himself go warmer after getting a few kisses on his cheek, heart pounding even faster when she whispered:

— You know I've never really had a favorite hero when I was a kid, right? None of them actually made me feel that sense of... admiration, so to speak. But after my time in UA, the internships and all that, I changed my mind. You are my favorite hero, Tamaki. You are my hero.

Tamaki sighed, like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders. He felt petty, needing to be reassured of something he already knew.

They stood there for a few minutes, holding each other tight, swaying slowly from side to side. Then the urgency to eat came over, and both returned to their tasks: Tamaki prepared the boba tea, she cooked the pasta. The mood picked up fast, with her bumping his hips and vice versa. She hand fed him some sauce and he hummed in satisfaction. Soon enough the food was plated and they sat next to each other at the table.

— Hmm! This is good! —Tamaki said, eyes closed in bliss as he chewed his portion.

— Right? Just the best for my baby.

— What? —he laughed— How come I'm your baby when I'm older than you?

— Shush it, silly, you are my baby.

He just laughed at her goofiness again. Then he waited, relying on his hero instincts, calculating the best time for a swift attack, and stole a spoonful of her own pasta, and stuffed it right into his mouth.

— Hey, that was mine!

He snorted.

The dishes were washed and she sat at a small table on the balcony. She was surrounded by plants and had a clear view of the city lights. It was as peaceful as the busy metropolis could be. In moments like this, she wished the days off were everlasting.

Tamaki arrived shortly, holding two glass cups of the boba tea he had made earlier. He hadn't even fully entered the balcony when a fit of giggles bubbled out of his mouth.

— What is it? —she raised a brow.

Her boyfriend didn't answer. Instead, he put both glasses on the table and left the room, only to return with a napkin, which he used to wipe away some remnants of sauce from her lips.

— There, all better. —he found it very endearing, how her cheeks lit up with color and her eyes averted his gaze, visibly embarrassed. Even the way she tried to play it off was adorable, his silly girl.

— Oh, clumsy me... Haha...

— Even if you're clumsy, I'll always be by your side to clean up your little messes —Tamaki smiled softly, crouched in front of her—. It's the least I can do for you.

She hid her face behind her hands, voice tight in a whine— But I don't want you cleaning my messes though? I'm not a kid!

She had always had an ability to fluster him with sincere compliments and cheesy remarks. One of her favorite things to say was that her job was to show him how loved he was, and if it had to be done by flustering him, then the better. His job, on the other hand, on his own words, was to make her feel safe, so safe that not even her own demons could do her any harm. But it was nice to turn the tables from time to time.

Tamaki pryed her hands out, placing them on her chest— This is where I want your hands to be. It's just me here, so don't hide. Besides —he smiled—, you may not be a kid, but you're still my baby.

— Tamaki! That's my line!

He laughed.

When Shion Madarame hears his daughter sniffling in her bedroom he seems clueless on what to do, he’s scared not to be the best to console his crying daughter that’s why he plans to wait for you to come back.

Chie Madarame, his young kid is always been a mommy’s girl and he knows, no, he is sure, that he can’t help his daughter calm down. But soon the crying becomes unbearable for the blonde man and decide to knock on his daughter’s bedroom, he sees the tiny blonde figure crying on the floor while hugging her stuffed doll. “Babygirl what happened?” Shion asks to Chie lifting her and holding her. The toddler turns and cry on her father’s chest and soon she calms down as he rubs her back, “Mimi lost her eye” Chie explains, showing her father that the stuffed doll with a loosing button eye and Shion sighs, “Oh no, we could always bu-” NO NONO NO, Chie shouts disapproving her father’s plan, “You need to fix her eye so she can be happy again”.

Shion is clueless, fix her? Sewing the button on the doll’s face is hard? This man doesn’t even now where to start, but seeing his daughter pout he can’t help but nod, taking a sight of the doll before going downstairs.

“Daddy needs to get prepared before fixing Mimi ok princess?” Shion asks and his daughter nods sitting next to him on the sofa, as he watches a domestic economy video and  get prepared with needle and thread. What you find when you come back home is a focused man and your sleeping daughter next to him, as he boops his tongue and try to sew back the doll. You can’t help but giggle and Shion turns to you with a proud smug, “Don’t tell me I’m not a good dad” you nod taking your daughter and bring her to her bedroom and when you come back you see that he finished, so you sit next to him and caress his thig lovingly. “Since you’re such a good father I’m sure that you would be glad to know that we’re going to have another one soon” Shion gasps, hearing the pregnancy announcement and hugs you, thinking about the almost horrific free afternoon became one of the best day of his life.

Fluff/HC/Drabble

Bakugo:

I honestly think despite the popular opinion, I honestly think he'd fall for someone who's more stoic. Someone who's firm in what they believe no matter what people say, and are not easily swayed in any direction. I personally see this as someone who doesn't come across as badass at first, but is unafraid to defend their beliefs or set boundaries. Bakugo might get frustrated, might think they're weak or a coward. I think deep down Bakugo needs that in his life. I think Bakugo would respect the heck out of them especially as a 2nd or 3rd year at UA, and they'd become an unstoppable power couple.

Izuku:

I sorta see Izuku with someone who's passionate, someone who always has something they're running towards, and dragging him out of his thoughts as they pull him along. He wants to be the number one hero to save people, and I believe he would really connect on a personal level with someone who's running towards their own dreams. I also believe that though Izuku loves the domestic life, he'd experience a much fuller greater life with a partner who's constantly working on improvement, and finding joy in the action. before his quirk, Izuku sought out action and took notes, so i believe someone who's always on the front lines would really help him grow. I believe that it might also compliment his personality if they were at a higher confidence, which would encourage him to strive for it as well!

Denki:

Despite his desire to be a ladies man, I honestly think Denki would fall for someone accidently. He constantly worried about coming across as the cool guy, and I think that love would strike the moment he least expected it and goofed up. I believe that Denki would fall for someone who's got a great deal of empathy and attention to detail. someone who would mock or shame him for his lack of academic intelligence, and in some twisted way, encourage him to improve himself in the process. 

Kirishima:

Now, It might be controversial, but I honestly think that Kirishima would fall for a close friend. Being as outgoing as he is, and with his past of depression, I think he would really be able to connect with someone who didn't have the best upbringing. I believe that he really needs to be told that he's strong enough for them, just as they need to be told they are deserving of love. Kirishima, especially as a 3rd year, would probably have learned a great deal from fatgum, and grown as a person with Tamaki. I think that both of you would push towards healing together and it would honestly be a really wholesome relationship.

Shoto:

I honestly headcanon that Todoroki would fall hard for someone assertive. though he really wouldn't notice at first, he would evaluate their plans as they presented them and admire the confidence that came with it. as he learned to better embrace his quirk and his past, I think he would need someone who could mentally pull him into the present. Someone who could be a comfort but would always have a theory on what to accomplish next, I think Todoroki would appreciate some direction, and words said in blunt honesty. As he got older, I think both of them would soften up a but, but while at UA, they would be a power couple.

nuttymouthful asked:  Uhh may I make a request for Ouran High School Host club? Just a headcanon for how the host would react to meeting someone how is a big time animal lover. (Like they pretty much live there life like the Irwin family)

A/N: I was thinking about how I’d write this and my brain just went ‘they lost their shit at the sight of instant coffee’, so uhh I hope this is to your liking. I tried to get as much animal variety as I could even though I didn’t really touch on marine animals that much)

Warnings: Like 2 swear words (pinky promise), slight drug mention(literally so small you might not even notice it), spoilers (minor) for Tamaki’s mom

Word Count: 1292

General

So this is under the assumption that like the Irwin family, Reader (or their family) has access to a wide variety of animals (from domestic to wild)

All of them respect the passion you have for animals

While they all might have various feelings on animals (see below), they can’t deny that you truly do love animals

Your family’s sanctuary focuses on healing injured animals and rehabilitating them so they can go back into the wild

Of course, your family has many sanctuaries around the world and some focus more on conservation while others focus on research 

The one closest to the school focuses mainly on conservation and as such, is massive and functions like a zoo ( in terms of having people come in and see the animals)

Anyways, the host club is very supportive and often helps you with organizing donation events

Oftentimes, your family will collaborate with them and allow them to rent out parts of the conservation center for events

Aside from the conservation center though, your family owns a few ranches and farms (not for commercial profit, although yall have sold a few animals)

The farms and ranches are relatively small scale but they make great venues for the host club and a great place for getaways/vacations

Your main house is where you keep most of your favorite animals

You have an aviary attached to your room (connected through a hallway that connects to your room) as well as a butterfly garden in the backyard

You also have an aquarium tank, 2 dogs, 1 cat, 1 snake, and a hamster that visits on weekends

You had to be stopped at some point

Tamaki

Tamaki loves animals

He was never really around animals growing up because of how sensitive his mom’s immune system is

So when he sees that you’re an animal person, he’s super excited

Like this man is already planning playdates between Antoinette and your pets/animals

You love his enthusiasm, just one small problem

It’s a little too much enthusiasm

Yes the animals are well trained, but how would you react if a 6′0 giant with long arms came barreling towards you screaming showing its teeth? 

So yeah, Tamaki tends to set the animals off/ make them nervous

Because of that he’s only allowed around certain animals (ex. certain monkeys, certain birds, etc.)

He’s happy that he’s allowed around some animals but he still pouts every time there’s an animal he can’t be around

Kyoya

This man

Kyoya does not fuck with animals. Like at all

The first time the host club went to your house, you were holding a hamster and Kyoya moved back about 10 feet

When you asked him what was wrong, he just said “Rats are carriers of many of the most deadly diseases”

You told him that you were holding a hamster and that while hamsters were rodents, the worst he’d get sick with would be salmonella

He doesn’t believe you, but yeah sure whatever

For Kyoya it just gets worse after that

The first time he sees you holding a tarantula, he loses his shit

“Look how cute it is Kyoya!”

“Get that vermin away from me!”

I could go on and on about how much Kyoya doesn’t like animals (even domestic ones like cats and dogs)

He hates going to your house, but he often has to go there in order to set up events for the host club, what a nightmare

While he doesn’t care for animals, the business side of his brain can’t help but think of a marketing opportunity

He doesn’t feel one way or the other about animals and thinks it’s cool that you’re interested in them

Only thing is; if Honey’s afraid of your animals, he will have to ask you to leave he won’t hesitate to step in “harm’s” way

Surprisingly though, that actually makes him the chillest with your animals

Much to your surprise (and Tamaki’s sorrow), the animals love him

He just has this calming vibe that sets the animals at ease

It also helps that he smells nice and is super tall

For most of them it’s like sitting on a giant tree

He’s not really complaining though, it makes his job of protecting Honey that much easier

He might actually be the worst with animals

It’s not even an issue of being unable to defend against aggressive animals (Honey could probably solo a grizzly bear)

It’s just he has a very strict “cute” animal policy that changes wildly depending on his mood, the temperature, the angle of the wind, the humidity, etc.

He’s very bougie when it comes to what animals he will tolerate and what animals he will refuse to see

The general safe choices are rabbits (especially bunnies), kittens, cows, tits (the bird species), and baby animals of almost every domestic mammal species)

Him and the hamster you see on weekends are best friends

Also, you have had issues with him trying to feed the animals sweets

Explaining to Honey why rabbits can’t have carrot cake was not an easy conversation, nor was it one you thought you’d need to have 

Because of how specific he is about what animals he finds cute, you likened him to a crocodile (because of how sensitive they are to temp. changes in egg)

Needless to say...he was not pleased

Hikaru

So him and Kaoru don’t really care for animals but they try to relate to you in somewhat similar but different ways

Hikaru is always trying to get you to do/recreate stunts with the animals

“Hey Y/N, we should-”

“No Hikaru”

“You don’t even know what I was gonna say”

“No you cannot use the dolphins for hoop tricks, no you cannot teach the gorillas how to roll blunts, no you cannot “bribe” the koalas with eucalyptus...”

Yeah he’s a menace

It’s mostly all in good fun though

Hikaru doesn’t really care for animals but he does find it hilarious that the animals like him more than Tamaki

Also, completely random but Hikaru definitely send you those “horse-sized duck vs duck sized horses” memes

Kaoru

Kaoru also tries to use animals on the internet to relate to you, but he’s a lot tamer than Kaoru

Kaoru is kind of like the parent who learns one thing you like and is like “that’s your entire personality right?”

Poor bby is trying his best

Anyways, whereas Hikaru tries to recreate memes, Kaoru sends you them

They range in quality and format; from top text, bottom text to “is this a ____”

At least once a day, Kaoru will send you a meme or picture of an animal with a caption that says ‘this reminded me of u :)’

It’s so endearing that you can’t even be mad about it

Haruhi

Is the only other one who’s kind of cool about the whole thing

She’s really only been around animals in the park or the occasional pet store

Growing up, she didn’t really have the time (or money) to go to the zoo, that and the fact that Ranka doesn’t care at all for animals (she thinks they’re weird and gross)

When Tamaki hears this, he works himself up into a frenzy, torn that his “daughter” has never been to a zoo (even tho he hasn’t either)

But she likes the fact that you’re so passionate about animals

At heart, she’s a scholar, so she loves learning new things she didn’t know before, she could spend all day just listening to you talk about animals

Not to mention the fact that you’re basically giving her a free informational tour every time you see an animal

When you found your boyfriend's half-used stash of weed, you freaked out worrying about his health, but it started to make sense when you confronted him about it.

He was always stressed and anxious, so when his friend told him to try cannabis life became so much easier for him. you really only found him smoking after a long day, always in private. It didn't take over his life, nor did his wallet and health suffer from it. It most probably improved his mental health anyway.

When you saw him smoking one night in the living room, you couldn't believe the stench of the room. It felt wrong in so many ways. He turned to face you, reaching an arm behind the couch.

"Dear, I didn't know you were gonna come over tonight." he looked surprised, yet not panicked in the slightest. "My bad, Amajiki," you said as you swayed your hand, trying not to inhale any smoke.

You walked towards him, sitting beside him as smoke creeped out of his lips. You examined the room, and the TV was playing a show that was in a language that neither you nor Tamaki could understand. The coffee table had a variety of snacks and sodas.

He handed you the blunt as he looked you in the eyes. You didn't have to say a word. He knew you wanted to try. "Honey, I really shouldn't..." You tried to reason."I know you want to." He said, the signeture quiver his voice had was almost non-existent.

Did it really feel that relaxing?

You took it from his hands, and in a few minutes, you were in heaven. Somehow, you were starting to understand the foreign show you were watching somehow.

You started to find comfort in the smoke clouds and in his tinted red eyes. Before you knew it, he caught you staring at him. "Is something wrong dear?" He asked.

"You're pretty," you said with a giggle at the end of your sentence. His cheeks flushed red as he whispered a "you too" in your ear.
