Can someone please write a fic where instead of getting all weepy and depressed when he finds out about Yona, Link cuts her off at the word fiancé to ask where Sidon is, and then scales a mountain just to see Sidon open his big arms for a hug and then sucker punches him in the stomach? I feel like given how we see Link handle all his other problems this would be more in character, and funnier. Thank you!

sometimes i think about how different peter's life and mythos would be if after he got the suit off in the baxter building he calmed down for a second and tried to talk to it.

i wanna see the alternate world where the editors are like "hey the suit shapeshifts anyway let's just make it stick around and look like the classic or somethin' kids love aliens!"

i don't think it's unreasonable to be freaked out about an alien living on your body. and, to be fair, i don't think peter thought that the thing was capable of conversation. definitely didn't think it was sentient enough.

and, to be fair, the next time peter sees the symbiote, it was a hostile take-over situation, and i don't think there could be a lot of good-will between them after that sort of a thing.

peter needs control. i don't think he could resign control to an alien that can just pilot his body like that. i don't think peter is compatible a symbiote, because of that. he needs control.

i don't think the symbiote and peter were made for each other. just - they were good for each other for a time, and there were benefits, but peter - peter absolutely couldn't have a healthy relationship with the symbiote. not in any capacity, or any universe, at all. it's just not who he is. he's a self-absorbed creature, and i just don't think he could achieve symbiosis. symbiosis is a degree of selflessness that peter isn't capable of. he couldn't resign control and relinquish his own self-absorbed nature enough to have that sort of a healthy relationship with an alien symbiote who is kind of dependent on transparency and mutuality and... i don't know, it just doesn't work. it's just not peter.

peter has protagonist syndrome so strong that - that's it. he couldn't achieve symbiosis. no. it won't ever be "we", it'll always be "me". and i don't think he's bad for that, no. most people are like that. if you examined yourself, you might find it's the same. in theory, you might think "oh yeah. i could achieve symbiosis" but really, i think it takes such a unique sort of a person to do it. and peter's - peter ain't it.

all dps fanfiction is so fucking good but the one thing that I disagree with is people writing that todd isn't good with words, usually in the context of love confessions or whatever. like yuh my guy doesn't talk a lot, but that boy is a POET and a writer. he knows exactly what he wants to say, and how to say it, he just gets choked up on the delivery because of his anxiety. out of the two of them, neil is bad with words. he's an actor who needs a script to get through a single conversation without it turning into nonsense
