I need to vent about something AGAIN

I do not know what they put into Kate Todd from NCIS to make me so attached but it’s getting ridiculous.

I have watched her death years ago, could not bring myself to watch the rest of the show for years! And when I saw a tiktok related to her I ended up bawling my eyes out;

Now I am finally able to watch the show again (nearing the end of season 6) so I thought that I am good, whatever hold Kate's character had over me is surely gone, right? WRONG I have spent the last 10minutes sobbing over a tiktok of her death ??? Will I ever be able to move on? at this point I don't know.

The most bizarre thing about this whole situation is that I have no idea why I got so attached, she’s not really all that much relatable to me? There are other characters form different shows that I relate to more and I’ve never had a similar experience

David McCallum wasn’t what drew me to NCIS but I stayed for him and his charming voice, his stories, his smile and his warmth. He truly was everybody’s grandfather and I’m so sad to know he’s gone. Hope his legacy lives on forever.

Jimmy Palmer is canonically diabetic. This is revealed S4 E22 when his breath smells fruity because he hasn't taken his daily insulin. They call it "mild diabetes" but they say he has to take insulin daily. It's implied that it's Type 1. Correct me if I'm wrong (I don't have a ton of knowledge about anything other than Tuberculosis), but I'm pretty sure that Type 1 diabetes is pretty serious in almost any situation, and having to take daily insulin is an indicator that it's more severe.

Possible spoilers for parts of NCIS past this point

Ducky and Jimmy are trying to transport a body in S10 E16; they had to get up early to go find the body and Jimmy didn't have time to eat breakfast. They have a snack in the medical bag for situations like this, but as he's about to eat it, they pop a tire. They're kidnapped and brought to a remote location in the forest, forced to do an autopsy without good tools, all that stuff. But the only way Ducky reacts to Jimmy being like "I haven't eaten all day" is like "Oh Jimmy you're so silly, thinking about food at a time like this". Like, they're in the woods for a good 14 hours without food? It's dark by the time they get out. Jimmy doesn't bring anything up and Ducky doesn't either.

The diabetes plot point was just there to solve a case once and never, to my knowledge, brought up again. I think that's a pretty serious plot point to forget.
