I never thought I'd be doing this. Not out of shame or pride but because I always thought I was on top of things but…

I recently got really sick over this month and lost the chance to earn money at my job. My rent has been raised as well, and I'm in school so I don’t have a lot of time to work. I just got a few bills and I'm looking at my account in the red, wondering if I can make it through the next few weeks until I can have time to work and get money. I had some recent medical scares which required me to also go to appointments to.

If anyone can, please can they donate? I honestly just need like 500-600 dollars to get through the next while. And I'm Canadian so USD is like 1.38 per Canadian dollar? So it's more like 435 that way.

hi! my name is saturn and my partner and i have finally got some of the last pieces together for our move from the city that we are being rapidly priced out of. xe have and a job where we're going and i actually have a couple options lined up. the only problem is that we are currently commuting over an hour one way to get to work right now and all our money is going to gas. we also don't have a place to really go yet once our lease is up in may.

we found an apartment however with a good price and perfect location though! and the people we'd be renting from are willing to hold it for at least this weekend. however, to finalize our hold on it we'd need nearly $300 USD to pay for the applications + fees. that is simply money we do not have until my partner gets paid in nearly two weeks. and we cannot afford to wait that long. plus all of that paycheck is already called for to pay for rent we're late on at our current place, food, and gas. please donate and reblog if you can! i also take art commissions (see pinned post for details) if that's more your style, though i'll see how much free time i have as of late trying to pack and prepare for the worst. i'll post regular updates on how close we are to the total, and any extra that gets donated past the goal will be used to allow ourselves any comforts or conveniences during the move and commute. thank you so much already!

/ Hi, if you follow me you know its rare for me to open up about my personal life at all. I mostly focus on growth here; learning to love my body, learn more about cultures i love, style, books, interior design, etc. But today I write because I'm asking for help. Please help me. I was recently attacked by my own mother physically (maybe the 3rd time in my life?). But this time it was different because she used a weapon against me and I called the police on her, fearing for my life and safety. I have never once called the police. Never. The first time I do is because my mother made me think I was honestly about to die... She struck my head with a bottle --A METAL BOTTLE, over and over and over. I have never bled so much in my life, let alone seen so much live blood gush from someones body. I was in so much disbelief I thought it was juice or whatever was in the bottle...but no....it was my own blood. Warm and unreal. Pouring out from my head, down my neck, over my torso, all over my white turned beige hoodie (I've washed it multiple times now) and all over the wooden floors and stairs which have permanent stains. One stain in particular I wont ever get out of my head are my hand prints on my bedroom door, from when I ran to get my phone to dial 911. Barely able to see---there was blood in my eyes. It was everywhere. I need to leave ASAP. As soon as my court hearing is processed (my mother was charged with aggravated assault and even though I don't want her to go to prison, the thought of living under the same room again,,,,,is not an experience I want to even imagine. I wouldn't be safe! She currently away from me physically) She can move back into that house when the law allows her, but I want to be as far away from it and her as much as possible. I frankly,,,will never look at her the same again or feel safe around her--she always made me anxious anyways. I can't have my life threatened again. I can't keep locking my bedroom door over fear I'll wake up to her hovering over my bed. She may be successful next time.... Please help me save enough to move in with my bestfriend (who has his own place) until I can be on my own two feet again. We ironically spoke about moving in together and I mentioned I wanted to be more financially independent before we did it. But i see no other option rn and he makes me feel so safe & normal.. Hi everyone. I recently found out some really upsetting news. I took my dog to the vet two days ago because she was showing symptoms of pain and odd behavior like flinching, whimpering, and yelping for several seconds when there was no visible cause for her discomfort. I was told that it is a high possibility she has IVDD in her neck. I paid $250+ for an XRAY (they could see nothing in), physical Exam, and a bottle of Anti-inflamitory pain medication to start her one. I was told that the best thing we can do for her is administer the medication and restrict her to bedrest and as little movement as possible to see if it heals up on its own. The next step would be an MRI and possibly surgery. My stomach has been in knots since this conversation. I know I do not have the finances to be able to afford to provide her with this treatment option if it comes to this. I'm not sure if the trip to the vet irritated the discs more and we will see an improvement soon but the past two days there has been increased yelp attacks. She will scream in pain for several seconds and back up into the nearest corner, not realizing that the pain is internal. She often thinks we are responsible for it. This whole situation is breaking my heart. I've been with this dog for half of my life span, since I was ten years old, and I feel so horribly desperate seeing her in pain and not being able to do anything about it but play the waiting game. I've looked into the cost of an MRI which ranges anywhere between $1000-2000 dollars. This is why I've created a GOFUNDME and set the goal at $1,500. In absolute desperation, I am asking my friends, family, and strangers with kindness in their heart to share or donate to help my dog afford more treatment. Even if by some miracle she will not need surgery the medication and MRI are costly. I'm not ready to lose my girl yet. Please, help me.

Emergency donations

So to make it quick and not expose myself too much, I fled my abusive family during the night of Friday to Saturday. Since Saturday I've been staying at my boyfriend's place and today we went at my appartment to get some stuff. Turns out my father managed to get it through my roommates and stole some of my stuff, my art tablet included. I currently have no ways of getting it back and without it I can't draw and so can't do commissions which are my only source of income. So I opened up donations to try and raise money to afford a new tablet so I could try and get a source of income again, just spreading it around would make me happy and grateful, I wouldn't do this if I could afford it, thank you.

looking at (vetted) gofundmes for people trying to escape palestine and i don't know how many of you actually click on the gofundme links you reblog but i would like to point out, for what it's worth, just how amazing it is that so many have raised so much money. it may overall feel like a drop in the ocean but the fact that several gofundmes have raised tens of thousands of dollars is amazing. it is so expensive to leave gaza right now, and people still need money after they escape. but regardless of what propaganda the US, UK, canada, and other western nations are trying to pump out, people across the world are doing what they can to help these people survive. many of them are still very far from their goals (like this one and this one and this one) and some of them are very close to high goals (like this one), and some of them have reached almost double their original goal.

and that's not even addressing direct aid or organizations that take continuous donations for distribution of food, menstrual products, etc. the PCRF has raised $16,000,000 of their target goal of $20,000,000 to fund current aid and long-term relief efforts in gaza. ANERA's febuary 13th update discusses the material ways they helped palestinians today:

my point is, it often feels like the world is turning a blind eye to palestine. but i would like to point out that there is an important difference between "the world" and "western political leaders and media narratives". a breathtaking amount of real people, the people who make up the world, are trying to help. in the face of israel attempting to commit genocide, the world is saying No. These people deserve to live. and literally sending millions of dollars internationally, through the internet connection that israel has desperately been trying to destroy.

it may not feel like it matters in the grand scheme of things. but to the people who get fresh clothes, or a hot meal, or blankets, or the kids who get new toys, or to the people who are able to bring their families to safety, it matters to them. go make someone's day better. i've linked so many options with ways to do that.

Palestine is important but so are the environment, refugees, children, women, and the impoverished across the middle east and it doesn't take away from Palestine to click for multiple causes. The arab world faces a lot of problems and they only get worsened by how western nations have oppressed and attacked them. Clicking is small but it generates something and overtime it does benefit the greater good. It takes all of us clicking as often as possible but we can do it! My father was martyred by Israel on 10 October 2023 after sacrificing his care in hospital so the injured children could take priority. Today would have been his 60th birthday. He was always selfless, kind, and giving for others. My father gave up everything for me to be able to have a better life, because that is what he always dreamed for me and my sister. The world suffered a great loss when he died, and my heart is always with him and every Palestinian who has lost someone.

In his honour and memory, I would love for anyone who is able to do so to consider donating to The Palestine Children’s Relief Fund.

The PCRF is an amazing organisation that does so much for those in Gaza right now, including helping provide food, water and medicine. You can donate any amount you are able to- there is no minimum! My father would have given his very last cent if he saw the way Palestine was continuing to suffer after over 100 days with this limited aid, so I know celebrating him by helping others is the least he would have wanted.

I saw @parrot-parent do a very successful donation match and I thought it was such a good idea so I will also match all donations up to $500! If you feel comfortable sending me proof of the amount of your donation, I will match it as a donation at the end of February.
