tbh i hav no idea! w3schools & sadgrl have some coding and html tutorials if u wanna maek ur own website but 2 my knowlage nobody has written any kind of comprehensive guide or glossery for terms or history that could serve as an introduction for new ppl or well, people have tried, yesterweb exists but alot of people disagree with their approach to explaining the old web and trying to turn it into like a movement when alot of ppl just wanna liek, make silly websites or have a cute blog if you want websites to look at i have a stupid ammount of them bookmarked lol but if u want just a couple you can start with dokodemo & cinni tho my personal faves for sites are apple dust & whimsical tho tbh i engadge more so with people who make webgraphics then websites as i like art and organization a lil more then coding if u want a breakdown of any of my web graphics projects im willing 2 give one, but tbh i prefer 2 explain it over VC with screenshare rather then text because i dont want to have to take 7 million screenshots and gifs to show my project, i exist in my jigsaw puzzle discord on vc sometimes so you can just ask their, but i dont rlly wanna interact with people under 15 that much, so if you are i wouldnt reccomend joining i do wanna make a like, video overveiw of some of my completed works but im not the best at editing and still have to figure out a process that works well for me in that regard but just one thing, if you do wanna start making websites or web graphics or anything please i am begging you do not use uncredited graphics, theres alot of stolen artwork circulating around witch has lead to a sort of apathy around crediting artwork witch is really shitty! and it makes it extremely hard to track down sources of things when so many people are just sharing random art they stole with zero idea who made it, and its really really sad you can find f2u graphics on places like devient art, and if you are gonna use graphics you havent made you should make a comprehensive credits page on your site detailing what asset is what artist and where and how to find them, with both live links and archival links (cuz u dont wanna lose that) alot of p2u graphics dont require credit, you can generally find those on kofi, but with how common just ripping assets off of somebodies site is in this community idk how many artists are actually ok with somebody using their assets in that way even if paid if its something like a premade pack and not an actual commision i give some links to various artists on DA and ko-fi if you woul liek as well, but in general most people just kind of learn by existing in the community

ALSO to get your primer thing out of the way: i dont rlly use it but ive heard good things about the ELF one and my sister swears by the NYX one and her base is rlly good. so.

OK FIRST OF ALLL. starting w skincare.

i would break down your routine into three main parts: -cleansing -moisturizing / hydrating -SPF

if you wanna get fancy, you can do exfoliation between cleansing and hydrating. but you really dont have to do that if u dont want to

first: cleansing

if you wanna wear makeup you should have a good way to take it off. no. no put the makeup wipes down. they aren't efficient and u will go through SO many of them. and they're a pain and can irritate ur skin w all the wiping (trust me on this one LOL)

i would recommend using an oil based product for this!! melts ur makeup OFFFF like crazy + even if you don't use makeup it will leave ur skin super clean ^__^ ALSO you should apply this to DRY SKIN and wash it off with lukewarm water (the oil emulsifies w water and also very cold water can make it harder to remove)

if you want an oil-based makeup remover for quick removal w a cotton pad: clinique take the day off (47cad ) this one is expensive tbh and isn't as effective as the others BUT. it takes a lot less energy to use + can be done quickly. if you want a cleanser that will take off your makeup incredibly well while washing ur face: kose softymo speedy cleanser (18cad) this is my absolute FAV. i use it allll the time it works so so well and ive reccomended it to tons of ppl before and theyve all liked it. if you want a cleansing balm for heavier makeup: clean-it zero cleansing balm original (30cad) i haven't tried this one myself, but i've heard VERY good things about it.

next i would follow that up with a water based cleanser (so foaming or gel). this will help to wash away all the stuff that the oil cleanser has loosened up and will wash away leftover oil cleanser.

my FAVOURITE is the senka perfect whip cleanser (14.50cad) i adore this stuff!! ive heard some people find it very drying but i havent had that issue? idk i've also heard good things about this beauty of joseon green plum gel cleanser (14.70 cad) but i haven't used it myself. huge fan of BOJ tho!!

(this is the part where you would exfoliate if you wanted to. for a chemical exfoliant i use the giant bottle of clinique stuff my aunt got me but its not worth the price tbh. u could also try the beauty of joseon apricot peeling gel (14.70cad) IF your skin can handle it. its a physical exfoliant tho so be careful. i also enjoy the pixi glow tonic. u can get this at like shoppers or cvs or somethign idk)

second: hydrating and moisturizing

okay so. this is super important if you do a lot of makeup and thus have to wash it away thoroughly.

i start with a hydrating toner. this helps to add water to your skin and smooth it (adding water before moisturizer is a good idea bc the moisturizers will both add moisture and lock in hydration from any prev products)

i use the the I'm from rice toner (38 cad but on sale rn) which is my absolute absolute FAAAV toner. super hydrating super perfect and beautiful. stunning. (you've probably seen people talk about the cosrx snail mucin, and it is nice i will admit. but do NOT use it if you are allergic to shellfish or dust, apparently. also apply it right after your hydrating toner, it needs to be on wet skin)

then i go in with a moisturizer!! i like to use ones with niacinimide or other humectants.

my go-to is the innisfree jeuju cherry blossom dewey glow jelly (35cad) she's so important to meee <3 love her. all time fav. it is SCENTED tho, so if you don't like that, try: beauty of joseon red bean water gel (17.80cad) super lightweight and has no noticeable scent. ive heard very good things and my friend is trying it soon ^__^

finally: SPF

this is THE most important step. sunscreen. wear sunscreen.

apply your sunscreen under your makeup in the morning, and throughout the day. if you wanna reapply using a sun stick, that's great!!! but don't use a sun stick as your ONLY protection.

also i'd avoid pure mineral sunscreens unless you have a legit allergy to chemical ones. mineral sunscreens are not as good and a lot of the marketing is iffy. also they leave a white cast which is esp noticeable on darker skin. mineral + chemical ones are usually fine tho :-)

my fav sunscreen is the biore UV aqua rich watery gel / watery essence (26cad) legit the best feeling sunscreen i have EVER used. my friends who hate sunscreen like this one. there's also the beauty of joseon rice probiotic releif sun cream (24cad) which is very nice too!! not my fav but a lot of people swear by it for reapplying throughout the day, i would use the beauty of joseon matte sun stick (24cad). ive heard super good things but ihavent tried it cause im finishing my other sun stick rn lol

this is all fairly basic stuff since u said you were new to it, but i can also go thru some less necessary, more fancy products if you ever need.

as for makeup, my favourite brands are:

Any of percy's fics honestly but my personal favorite is the time travelers bear if u havent read it already. gregory centric time travel fic with flashlight duo and awesome characterization. The Vanishing of Gregory Cooper is awesome as well

I have two mike time travel fics too! Encore and Dissatisfaction brought it back both r so so so fun

Inside the heart is smth youve probably already read bc its by V but I'm putting it here anyways because I love it. the cassidy characterization especially is my favorite

The moon will sing by dykevanny is peak as well <333 wererabbit vanny au with really silly characterization (also haz's other fics r fun too!! esp teh ones w will and ness)

If you haven't read Aftermath yet then I cannot reccomend it enough. I still have to read the sequel but waugh this was so fun to read!

Springlocked butterflies is short but sweet its about springtrap and vanessa and its fun <333 (and completely platonic in case ur worried)

This is just a concept and not a full fledged out fic but its fun! It's called Mirror Game and it's flashlight duo centric with fun michael characterization as well!

Escaping Tragedy is another one! It's got a few tropes I'm not a huge fan of (It's the only good brother Michael fic I read at all, and I tolerate the charlie/michael) but the william vs michael rivalry is fucking peak

I think that's most of my big favs, I hope I included enough tropes (You can tell Michael's my favorite because so many of these r michael centric lmao but its rlly hard to find ones i like)

here is my build!!! its a work in progress for sure. i would want her to have more hp and a little bit more speed + effect res. im also planning on replacing her lightcone with the preservation one from hertas store

but this gets the job done for now and she's rlly good!! i'd say she is as good as what u invest in her. she builds primarily on hp so you'll want a lot of that - but it's better to have a balanced build with some defense. i'd reccomend an energy regen rope + hp orb, one defense piece (chest or boots) and one hp piece (chest or boots)

she's a pretty comfortable character to build!!! there's rlly no specific perfect set. you could also use the two piece speed set, the quantam set (tho i dont think dps fu xuan is viable) but this is just what i prefer. some hp and some defense. i think the def reduction set would also be good on her but i haven't farmed it at all lol

for planar set i would use a different set than what i have!! i just put the best pieces i had but i think fleet of the ageless or broken keel would be better.

for substats you rlly just wanna stack a ton of hp and def on her, but effect res is also really good!! she's a simple character to build so don't overthink it.

for lightcones, i just used what i have. we are wildfire is pretty good on her and it's cheap to get. texture of memories from herta is the best option aside from her signature cause she's the only character who can use the effects lmao. landaus choice is decent as well.

tip 1- the posting format isnt that hard to get used to actually its just you create a tumblr text post and then copy and paste your fic onto it, add the tags and stuff then post it. if you want to add banners, headers and stuff to make it look better then go ahead, just add images to the text post

tip 2- the info area is the same as above, just add pictures of your choice etc to the text post, add your information, name, age, fav things etc and then to link posts to your post, highlight where u want the link to go, then copy the link of the post u want linked then press the hyperlink that looks like two chains linked together when you highlight the text if that makes sense? sounds like a lot but its rlly not i promise haha

tip 3- always type your fics on other apps like word or google docs since they have an auto save feature!! i dont reccomend typing your fics on tumblr since one if the app crashes, it doesn't automatically save your work so everything you wrote will get deleted (some versions of tumblr do have autosave, my laptop has it but my phone and iPad doesn't, so i dont rely on it)

tip 4- idk if you want tips on actual fic writing or just how to get your fics onto tumblr but ill help you with that anyway. with me when i write fics i always imagine it out in my head. theres some of my fics where i just went with the flow and wrote wgatever came to mind and those are the fics i hate the most because they dont rlly make sense to me. theyre always so random and it just seems rushed and bad.

i picture my fics like a scene in my head and whatever i want the character to do, think, say or feel i write that shit down asap. i use other online sources to help get more descriptive like the emotion theasurus <- honestly one of my favourite things to use ever, they have so much body language to use for every emotion in the damn book

dialogue is also something i find difficult. i've improved i personally feel like but its still hard for me especially if im writing a new character. i never want to make the character seem OOC so i do lots of research before hand. i normally use the wiki to read up on a characters personality.

for example i'll use ran for this since he's like 99% of my account lmao. in the wiki, he's described as "naturally whimsical toward others which makes him inscrutable" though ran doesnt have many scenes in the manga (which i hate bc i love him sm) its impossible to actually write him down to a tee so i use that naturally whimsical description to make him playful, charismatic, carefree etc, going off what little information i have with him.

getting a characters personality down is what can make or break a dialogue. for me when im reading a fic of a character and their dialogue is so OOC it puts me off and i dont even wanna read. so i apply my same fic icks to myself and think if I don't like seeing this and that in a fic, why would I incorporate those in my fics and have ppl get put off it if they have the same fic icks as me?

tip 5- dont rush yourself at all. i used to rush a few of my fics and i just ended up hating it so much after and fought bck the urge to delete them so many times but then i'd see people's comments and realise i was being too harsh on myself. i'd keep them up but i'd just hate seeing them get attention.

rushing only makes you hate your work and the quality of your work will decline if you are not in the right headspace.

thats also why i have the don't rush me thing in my rules because not only is it annoying to see people constantly asking for updates, it also makes me mad because i know i'll just put out a piece of garbage if i did rush.

also another tip don't give yourself deadlines!! if you know your writing consistency can be a little sloppy, don't tell your followers that you're going to upload every so and so day. if something happens and you miss the deadline, you'll feel bad and rush something out and most times out of ten, a rushed fic doesn't do well. so take your time and don't rush.

tip 6- dont listen to what other people say or feel obligated to write something you don't wanna. establish your boundaries!! for example, from day one i started this blog i said im accepting requests but i will not write anything to do with non-con, incest or minors. i made sure that was out there so i wouldn't feel uncomforable writing anything i wasn't comfy with.

there are people on this app that may like your writing and request you to write something for them. you are not obligated to write anything for anyone! don't feel like you have to just because they asked nicely.

if you want to accept requests you can im not saying you shouldn't, im saying don't feel like you have to. you always have a choice. its your blog.

tip 7- remember this isn't a job. you're allowed to take breaks, allowed to have a personal life. don't feel like you need to be updating every day. i used to think i was obligated to be uploading consistently at least every week because i was obsesssed with engagement and seeing peoples comments and was scared if i took a break ppl will unfollow. now i honestly don't care. i'm not active as much as i used to because of school and that's fine! if ppl want to leave, let them. don't feel like you're forced to keep being active in order to keep your follower count stable.

tip 8- this app can get really toxic sometimes. luckily enough i've only had one toxic anon in my inbox and i've been on this app for a year. some people have so many, some ppl get harrassed etc. if that happens to you just be prepared since there's no actual way to find out who's behind anons. you can turn off your anon options which means if ppl want to inbox you something then their account will be showing. some people arent comfortable with that and that's fine! i keep mine on because i want people to feel comfortable on my page.

just remember though if you ever feel like this app is getting overwhelming take breaks! for the sake of your mental health take breaks. i know so many writers on here that took breaks and came back healthier and stronger.

i feel like this tip goes for social media in general. as much as i love social media im aware how unhealthy it is. breaks are so important for you. remember that.

I had a friend who had already watched RGU reccomend the show to me and when I finished the finale she sent me a bunch of videos, essays, meta, memes she really liked about Utena. Out of the videos your vine videos, your bet on it amv and your tiktok sounds utena videos all featured as Things U Gotta Watch. Top Tier. And they are! I cannot stress how good they are. I've got a friend I'm trying to get to watch utena and I'm already prepared to send your whole channel her way.

Like, your Bet On It amv is just crazy - to the point I associate the whole song with utena instead of high school musical. High School Musical Who? I have driven home from work with the song blasting and in my head I'm thinking of the corrosponding imagery in my head. listened to the song a LOT just thinking of the amv. 'blame the world but never blame you' and it focusing on anthy. the start 'everybodys tryna get in my head' with everyone who manipluates utena? the bridge speeding up through all their utena/anthys relationship until utena gets up again at the climax of the song? This video is a masterpiece.

The vines and the tiktok sounds are soooo spot on and hilarious. every onee. and seeing an upbeat version of 'empty chairs at empty tables' to the end of utena emotionally altered something in me oh my lordie. I got introduced to the song The Draw from your other amv, which is SO PERFECT for the black rose arc?

And as a Lizzy McApline fan the ceilings youtube short took me OUT! the way the details about the car, the lines about 'you dont exist' being applied to utena's prince/akio, 'story ive seen before' being the prince/princess/witch ohturi mythology and ending with anthy at the end....... !!!!

Yes hehe I'm the one behind all those videos! The Bet On It video specifically was one that lived in my head for YEARS until I finally sat down and decided to make it everyone else's problem too 😂 I would just listen to the song on repeat while geting overly emotional imagining Utena's journey and the fact I was tearing up to a Troy mf Bolton song was so unhinged 💀 yet now look at me, I have spread my vision like a plague amongst the fandom and everyone else gets to be just as unhinged over the golf course disney movie meme song as I am ⛳️ I would have it no other way. My favorite comments on that video are the ones along the lines of "I clicked this thinking it was gonna be funny but now I'm crying" cause if that doesn't just sum up the experience of Revolutionary Girl Utena itself then idk what does 😂

RGU's tonal conflict is one of my favorite things so choosing goofy audios for the end of the show was such a treat lmfao. And ugh The Draw is just such a good and ominous song. I rlly feel like Ceilings captures that self-sacrificial "first love" feeling so many girls go through (especially with men) where they're uncomfortable and can't be open but ignore all those red flags until it gets to a point where things crumble and they realize the relationship never existed how they were imagining it. Sheesh thank you so much again for this message, it really brightened my week and was so touching to read. 😭💜 If I may humbly offer some video suggestions (if you haven't already watched them) I really love the For Your Love amv by Mari F and the Utena in 7 Minutes amv by Akilice. The first rlly captures that melancholic yet hopeful tone of Utena & Anthy and the latter has the audacity to make me emotional over a goddamn acapella Hamilton mashup of all things 💀 (the It's Quiet Uptown part literally destroys me every time.....). Digi Story has an Utena Deep Dive Analysis that I really enjoy, he talks about how RGU is "prismatic" in it's storytelling where there's no singular interpretation because there's just so much to look at and analyze. exams are killing me rn and idk if its finals week or my final week cs holy shit i am dying 😭😭

ive been pulling all nighters trying to get all my projects and group studies done and my exams are DEF not helping in my case and idk if ive even been eating properly there's probably a spoiled banana from last week in my bag somewhere atp 🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️ (im going mentally insane)

i havent even properly been on tumblr in a while and my social media is blowing up w notifs and dms from friends and ive been too busy to check it either tbh

honestly im hoping itll all turn out well by next week cs is my winter break 🤧

on another note i wanted to dump on my exes when all your anons were doing it but i was too scared to but now i genuinely need to tell u abt this because umm

my fwb is like a super nice guy and ive been friends w him for a while but i recently found out hes rlly good friends with one of my exes ⁉️

basically i asked (my ex) out once and he said yes and i thought we were chill but a few friends ended up asking him if we were dating like two days later without asking me for confirmation first and he said no.. (??)

i assumed he js didnt want like a too public relationship with everyone knowing so to clarify i asked him what was up and he said he ended up having second thoughts on me because his friends called me a red flag and he doesnt like the fact that i have guy friends and im close with them.... (💀💀)

so then i said oh okay..? 😭 and was over it but almost a month later he asked me out and atp he just gave me the icks so i made an excuse saying that i wanna focus on academics and not do anything relationship wise and he said he would wait 😭😭 (he in fact did not pick up the hint!)

then a little over month later he asked me out AGAIN and i said no i dont think i like you anymore sorry and he said oh that's fine and i thought we were chill??

a week later my messages BLEW UP one day and my guy friends were all snitching on him telling me that he's gong around slutshaming me and talking shit abt me for no reason and he said i was desperate and asked him out 3 times when he said no and he was never interested in me in the first place.. and then proceeded to sexualize my body and say weird ass shit abt it to everyone and they believed that i was a desperate whore or smth 😭

this happened a year ago but i was walking down the halls around a month ago and i saw him with his friends so i just rushed past

and his friends were like "oh isnt that the bitch who liked you?" and i heard him say "oh yeah she liked me like a year ago" and then proceeded to sexualize me while i was right fucking there but i dont even want any more drama w him so i dont bother saying anything back or leaking messages or wtv i js hope karma gets back at him 😭

and now idk if i should tell my fwb abt this?? or maybe it doesnt really concern me but it bothers me that hes hanging out with a guy like that and im conflicted on what to do

Like the people in my life should know about the people who wronged me (especially if I’m sleeping with them??) and it just made me feel safer. hi hi do u have cool platformer game recs? 👀 i rlly enjoyed celeste, geometry dash, limbo, inside, little nightmares, stuff like that

hi! i dont have a ton of specificly platformers but super meat boy is kinda cool even tho i never really got into it, theres i wanna maker which is like a new version of the iwbtg games, def a lot of potential there though i havent played it much (its also free), a few others i know of are cuphead, yoku's island express, rain world, portal 1 & 2, and the end is nigh (though i havent played that last one)

otherwise if you want more adventure/metroidvania style games i really reccomend hollow knight, its an awesome game with great combat and movement, dead cells which is a roguelite metroidvania game with awesomeeee combat and enemies

also if you havent done it already, celeste has LOADS of modded content, specifically Strawberry Jam Collab with maps from around ch7 difficulty to grandmaster difficulty (with the finale of gm lobby being the 13th hardest cleared map currently)

sorry if i didnt really help, my main message is that if you havent already, download the celeste mod loader and join the celeste discord, then go play strawberry jam. all the games here are good in their own right so even if they arent technically platformers you should check some of them out

my whole thing about the stream today was something felt... odd? i can’t place it. i’m just getting my thoughts out, this isn’t like /neg or criticism i just. thinking ig.

c!eret had spent the first good portion of her stream praising l’manburg for what it stood for, how it was home to people, how it was strong and nothing has come close to it since. she spends her whole life at the moment keeping records and keeping up the history. she says she fears what history might forget. how the members and events of l’manburg is already villainized, people are being painted in bad lights when they were never bad at all. 

he spends several minutes just. talking wilbur up. how he was a good leader. how he wanted to revive wilbur because people needed the moral boost that wilbur brought. that wilbur had good wants and intentions, and in the end he was just... eret admitted that in the end wilbur mentally was at his lowest, that things had definitely weighed on him, but not once in this talk did he ever blame wilbur, or bring up he was at fault for anything? 

then wilbur arrived, very clearly not intending to speak to eret. it seemed he was trying to sneak past the museum unnoticed. the first comments he makes is about armor. he does that thing where he stands a block above eret. he fumbles on his words a lot. he gives an, admittedly, not the greatest apology! 

but then.. eret demands a better apology. now, ppl have already criticized a lot on whether there was any grounds for that sort of thing, and they’ve done analysis on what was said, what could’ve been done better, etc etc (highly reccomend @sajdd or @tobi-smp for some of those). 

but it feels like a switch was flipped. 

it could’ve been c!eret finally letting out all her thoughts that had built up or. i don’t know, really i don’t. but watching it i’d gone from :D to :(? so quickly  because there were just, several minutes of prolongued praise that sounded like wilbur might finally be told he meant something? or that his creations meant something, after spending so long being berated over those things by himself or others. and it felt like we would also get a moment where eret could explain a wide number of things- but instead we got “you’re not a good person” “you did awful things”. and it just. it felt like a switch was flipped and it was just. it was jarring, it really was. 

it felt bad too because wilbur went so quiet, and wilbur almost never goes quiet, and he started to stand under eret, a block below, which is this huge minecraft-language thing he’s been doing. and then there was the proper apology- where eret gave a better apology and wilbur did but... it had then gone to ‘you’re not so bad’ 

which feels like- positive remarks to negative remarks to neutral remarks. 

i dont get it

i love c!eret so much, and i love c!wilbur. something felt off and i can’t articulate what or why past this, im very tired. but uh, yeah. those are some thoughts from me. i dont feel like doing in depth analysis on c!wilbur or cc!wilbur’s acting and how he acted in face cam like i usually do bc like, im just rlly tired rn. maybe later. but uh, anyway yeah. thats all.

Are there other ways of getting t into your system other than injections (im quite scared of needles)? Bc I think there's like gel and patches but I'm sensory sensitive to gel-like substances and i think the patches are just for hormonal balancing and might not actually make you transition

Theres an implant that goes in the subcutaneous part of your butt, theres gel (some look like lotion others look like aloe vera), and theres patches! Contrary to popular belief, the gel and patch are VERY effective at getting results, the gel especially. The reason why is because the dosage for the gel is a lot harder to control than the patch or injection, mostly because its in gel form and theres no chance of getting the same dosage every time you get rub some on. My gender therapist has told me shes found the gel to work too good actually 😭 all forms of hrt are effective, and just because one method, like hormones, are more common, that doesnt mean theyre the most effective. They just happen to be more mainstream. I reccomend talking to folks on the gel or patch. But since youre afraid of needles, theres no shame in having someone trained rlly quickly in the nurses office on how to inject for you! Its genuinely the easiest thing ever, and it can alleviate your stress and fear, and also get you used to it if you ever wanna try yourself. Ive read of lots of folks who have rarely injected themselves and have a partner or family member or friend do it for them. Theres also the fact that there are lots of spots on the body that are essentially painless when injecting. I’ve personally had a lot of issues injecting in my thighs for the first year, and it wasnt until getting regularly injected by a nurse in my glute when i found that I could also do it in my glute! Its basically painless, and I dont go quickly when injecting (which is honestly the worst thing you could do), and I still feel nothing. Theres always options and ways to mitigate anxiety if you end up on injections! Hope that helped :)
