I picked up a Doodle Bear at Goodwill.
It's not an original Doodle Bear, though I guess it still counts as vintage since it's almost 20 years old.
It didn't need much other than a few strings trimmed off here and there.
The biggest problem was one hand had nail polish.
I dipped a toothbrush into some L.A.'s Totally Awesome concentrate and scrubbed until it was all off, then tossed her into the washing machine since that's something Doodle Bears are designed to do.
There's an inexplicable stickiness stretching from one hand, across her neck, and all the way to the other hand.
She also has this smell on her that I've noticed on a lot of things that have come from Goodwill lately. Not that ubiquitous Goodwill smell, it's something else. Almost a cologne. Maybe a disinfectant spray they use, or maybe it's an air freshener they run in the sorting room. I imagine it smells pretty unpleasant back there sometimes.
