The Covid jokes, the protest jokes, the me-too jokes.

So much has changed. I'd like to talk to the comedians, see how they feel about it all now.

Since Covid got worse, the protests got heavier, the me-too just keeps going and going.

I could just go watch their current stuff, but I really want to know how they feel about those jokes, not just those topics.

Wow! If I had a nickel for every time [there was a Disney married couple who looked like they were going to be a villain couple but then actually turned out to be a couple where one is way more self centered and power hungry than the other and starts to distrust their partner, who realized that love is more valuable than power, to the point of threatening them, then later shooting them with evil magic], I'd have two nickels. Husband and I are watching the Doom Patrol show, and it reminds me of how much I love stuff that is horror-coded without being in the horror genre. Like I love stuff that has thematic or aesthetic elements of horror like gross visuals, tragic storylines, spooky shit etc without being “scary”. I think it’s a rare and under-appreciated style.
