I am going to share with you guys one of my favorite bookmarks. I purchased it back when I was 26 years old and used to live closer to the museum. I remember seeing Dorothy Lathrop’s art for the first time hanging and this was one of the pieces I saw. I was so thrilled when I was able to come upon a souvenir for it. I still won’t use it to this day, because I am very afraid of it getting ruined. I remember feeling very odd and alienated as an artist going through most art exhibits in which pencil and paint were mostly celebrated, and I prefer ink work above all, so finding a versatile artist who excelled in the medium really resonated and comforted me. Her work is so pretty and ethereal, too. 🖤
