Damn…double homocide

Breaking through the gates of time. It sounds awesome, doesn’t it? Well, Sky could tell you, it’s not fun at all.

When you step through that portal, you get an initial shock. It’s cold, damn near freezing. While that’s going on, you feel immense pain. It’s like you’re being torn apart piece by piece. Like being dismembered. Then you were stitched back together and spat out in a time that was probably not your own.

He felt the water before he heard the splash. His mouth was closed, yes, but he didn’t even get a chance to take a breath.

Part of him still thought that he was still in the portal. Part of him wished he was still at the portal’s mercy.

His body was already exhausted. The portal showed up in the middle of the night. Not only that, but the portal put the usual over exhaustion on him.

He didn’t have enough strength to swim to the surface, but he sure tried. Maybe losing some of the weight on him would help, but he was not about to drop the Sailor’s belongings down below.

He gripped his own bag and squeezed his eyes shut. He was running out of breath. He was being pulled further and further under. He opened his eyes and looked down. He could see the sand under him. He looked up. The sunlight looked so far away…

He opened his mouth to breathe, but only swallowed salty water. That small barrier had been broken. His body started to panic. He tried to claw his way to the surface, but he only sank farther and farther down.

He couldn’t feel anything anymore. It was all numb. His eyes made an unconscious decision to close themselves.

The last glance he got was something blue coming toward him, almost like a fish…

They others had resurfaced quickly. All except Sky. They knew immediately that something was wrong. Twilight cursed, he couldn’t change into his gear but- “I can get him, everyone else needs to get to shore.”

It was his Hyrule after all. Plus, Lake Hylia is deeper than she looks.

It only took three taps to put on his own Zora armor. After that, he dove in. He looked around and quickly spotted Sky’s sinking figure. His mouth was open too! Wild made a mad dash towards Sky. There was no doubt that CPR was needed, but that’s better than him dying.

As Wild swam down, he saw Sky’s eyes flutter shut. He screamed in his head, begging whatever god or goddess that was out there that he’d be okay.

It didn’t take long for Wild to grab Sky’s limp waist and start to swim up. Thank the goddesses for water physics or else he and Sky would still be sinking.

The blue of the water got shinier and shinier as they got closer to the surface. When they did, Wild took a deep breath and coughed a bit. He scanned the area and saw the other heroes waving his way.

That’s where he went, dashing through the water with the speed of a Zora.

He heard the noise of something sucking air in behind him and cursed. Fucking octos. He swerved, dodging the inflated fuck’s rock.

He was so close. Sky would be okay if he just reached. But no, he heard something swimming in the water and realized why he never jumped off of the Bridge of Hylia. Not only that, but that thing- no- lizalfos was swimming faster than him.

The black skin of the lizalfos put Wild in a panic. He tried to swim faster. He did swim faster, but unlike him, the Shadow was a thing. It rarely felt emotion or exhaustion like he did.

It only got closer and closer. Wild saw Warriors holding Wind back and Twilight loading his crossbow. It seemed that they were all trying for long ranged weapons…except the Sailor.

Wild wanted to check Sky’s breathing. What if he was too slow? What if Sky was already dead? What if he failed everyone again?

He tried to go faster, but the exhaustion was taking a toll on him. His adrenaline had ran out. He felt tears start to form around his eyes, the panic and fear truely setting in. So much so, that he hadn’t seen the shadow of the rock until it hit him.

For a moment, all he saw was black. Then, when he opened his eyes, he saw crimson flowing aimlessly in the water. Then, he saw Sky, forever falling farther down in the water.

Then he felt the water pooling into his own lungs.

u can really see how much more carelessly the double lifers are playing this season due to the increased rate of Casual Manslaughter that has occurred compared to previous seasons. this season we have had THREE by session 4 plus at least 10 close calls and im pretty sure last season we had zero (unless you count self-inflicted. looking at you joel and tango). and in third life we had grian with scar and that was it. i think the more seasons they spend with each other the closer they get and the more comfortable they feel fucking with other people's lives and not just their own. its kinda scary but its also kinda touching in a way
