It’s oks there’s nothing to feel anxious about! So when he was in middle school he used this metal thingy thing to try and overheat his bald teachers head by reflecting sunlight from the windows onto it which to my understanding was done multiple times. Now it may have been overlooked by me and people totally didn’t seem to get the joke but in my language the word “bullying” doesn’t have the same weight as it does in English so it wasn’t mean to be taken seriously but yeh I should be careful about that now ig!

I may sound like a boomer (in a sense I am) but consider deleting tik tok it’s bad for your brain I know there’s an itch for Eve content but like that place will fry your brain

I just got a Spotify ad from meta that said Instagram is ‘working with congress to pass federal regulations on children 16 and younger’s ability to download apps of the App Store without their parental permission’

like they the app store already has age restrictions on every app and you have to have an icloud/google account with a birth date associated to download it… like there are already apps for parents to control kids phone time… like you can just teach your children about internet safety….

If your kid hides something from you it’s because you made them not trust you to handle it respectfully and fairly… how would they even enforce this? what kids need is not LESS rights from the government

maybe I’m being paranoid but I feel like stuff like this is somehow connected to either trans/gay rights (“protecting your children from being influenced on the internet”) or consumer privacy rights (how would they genuinely enforce this in a way they don’t already? ie making you put in your birthday or have an account with a birth date associated with it. are they gonna make u upload your id or something?)

#if you are worried about your child downloading harmful apps how about: don’t give them a phone addiction by giving them a phone when theyr #a toddler. and fucking talk to them about it??? #like do I think tik tok is a good app for children? no it’s an exploitative app designed to keep u on it and spend money on it #but like do I think congress should be able to say what apps kids can have and target tik tok because they’re a Chinese company? #hell fucking no #cause ultimately abusive parents will use this to further abuse and monitor their kids #.txt #children’s rights #teenager rights
