(a reply-comment from the slideshow video post!)
I appreciate the sentiment, but no I'm not going to make a tiktok. I also don't approve anyone making one on my behalf. I much prefer posting about this project in actual text+picture format, not any kind of videos.

2-time TI champion confirms he will not compete in qualifiers for Dota 2’s The International 2023
Tumblr media
Summer 2023 was packed with high-profile Dota 2 tournaments, and it’s almost time for The International 2023 qualifiers. Though the best teams around the world secured their tickets for the tournament, some legendary names like Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen have yet to throw their hat in the ring. The player has now revealed he doesn’t have plans to play in the qualifiers. The exchange took place in a ranked match on Aug. 10 where Topson was playing on the same side as Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev. RAMZES wished Topson luck in the TI qualifiers, and the two-time champion replied “no quals for me.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRu8kHNMJFE Dota 2 fans were already suspecting Old G would drop out of the TI qualifiers because team members, like Sébastien “Ceb” Debs, were signaling they were going to disband after a lackluster DPC season. Despite taking a break during the majority of 2022, Topson returned to play in the qualifiers with T1 and almost made it to TI11. With Topson completely skipping the qualifiers this season, the player must have been denied potential offers or may have yet to receive any due to his current living arrangements. Europe is one of the most stacked regions at the moment, and most competing rosters stabilize toward the end of the season. Traveling to another region outside of Europe just to play in the qualifiers might have been in the cards for Topson, as he already had an active season in 2023. Considering Ceb is also a part owner in OG, even making it through the qualifiers could turn out to be a problem for the team since Valve has a strict rule against entities that own multiple teams. But fans also have another theory for Topson. Earlier in the week, Tundra Esports mid lane player, Leon “Nine” Kirilin, was spotted practicing position four in his ranked matches as Martin “Saksa” Sazdov is speculated to go on a break. This arrangement leaves the mid lane open in Tundra , and two of the most iconic mid laners in Dota 2 history are currently up for grabs, Topson and Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi. This means that Topson could also have dropped a cheeky hint with his “no quals for me” comment. If he were to join Tundra, Topson would find himself in TI12 with a direct invite unless Valve vetoes the roster change. Read the full article

19. "You're Satan." please
19: “You’re Satan.” (WOW HOW LONG AS THIS BEEN IN MY DRAFTS I’M SO SORRY FOR GETTING BACK TO IT SO LATE?? I’m a horrible person I’m so sorry)
Betty was still coming to terms with the fact that her boyfriend was in a gang. She had imagined Jughead being a lot of things but somehow Southside Serpent had never been an option in job description. And yet he was running off every now and then to do errands for the gang. It made Betty uncomfortable so they didn’t talk about it. But it was always there, looming over every conversation. Every time Betty asked him if he wanted fries with his burger, the word Serpent would cloud around the sentence and although the couple itched to have a conversation about it, neither knew how to broach the topic. So Jughead flirted casually while Betty stewed in worry.
This Christmas, Riverdale was putting together the story of Adam and Eve as the town play. Usually the kids at Riverdale Elementary did the Nativity scene but Kevin, eager to direct, pitched the idea that Riverdale High could do the play and, to be a little more grown-up, do Adam and Eve. Betty was the first one to get her hands on the cast list and nearly burst out laughing when she noticed Jughead was cast as the serpent. The situation was so comical, for a moment Betty found herself suddenly okay with the situation. It was an odd moment where she managed to accept something she had told herself would never be acceptable. She didn’t approve it but she knew that this was who he was and she decided she was okay with that.
“What’s so funny?” Jughead asked, the first one to walk into the empty auditorium where the cast list was placed until Kevin could pin it up during break.
“You’re Satan,” Betty said with a completely deadpan expression. Jughead actually looked offended at this hostility.
“I know you’re mad but that’s a little extreme, isn’t it?” He frowned making her laugh again. This time it was harder than before at the irony.
“No, Juggie, you’re playing Satan. You’re playing the serpent,” she elaborated between snorts and, after going over the cast list, Jughead started laughing.
“I applied to that as a joke. I can’t believe I got cast!” He exclaimed and Betty shrugged.
“I guess Kevin likes playing favourites.”
“You know you’re playing Eve?”
“Am I?” She took the list and beside her name was ‘Eve’. “Would you look at that. I guess you make me sin, Jughead Jones.” She smiled coyly and Jughead chuckled, taking a step toward her, putting hands on her waist and pulling her closer to him. Any awkwardness that had surrounded their conversation had evaporated. He dipped his head so she could feel his breath on her lips.
“Shall we test that theory?” He murmured, his lips brushing against hers as he spoke.
“You really are the devil.” She leaned up, kissing him, letting all the tension release.

All men must die convention - The second edition
I finally have my digital photos and here are some with Joe (+ Jacob, Iwan and one of my friends). I hate myself on those pictures (i feel soooo ugly), but Joe and the boys are amazing ! I’ll post my pics with other cast members later.
I didn’t put watermark on it, but please, don’t repost without credit and don’t cut me off my own pics. Since last week-end, I saw that a lot and it’s not very respectful nor pleasant for the fans. Thank you in advance.
Now, I’m gonna explain you my week-end. It’s going to be long, feel free to not read lmao. As usual, i’m really sorry for my poor english. I write this very quickly, because I have to go to work in one hour ahah
So, as I already said in a previous post, this week-end was magical and Joe was the best.
During the autographs on saturday, while I was waiting for Jack’s, I heard someone calling me by my name. I turned my head and it was Joe ! He  remembered me from last year ! He asked me if i was ok and he was like “ok, i’m gonna give you a hug”. He came to me and hugged me so tight, it was so cute.
And when i saw him later, for his autograph, he was amazing. I spent 15 minutes with him (I’m so sorry for the fans waiting behind…) and it was incredible. He gave me so many hugs and he remembered many things from our last meeting. He was still excited about the fanbook i made him last year. He looked at my photobook and was happy to see our photo ops from last year. We talked a lot, about the con, our lives and stuff, it was so chill.
I gave him a gift, a football shirt for his collection and oh my god, he looked like a little boy on Christmas morning ! He seemed genuinely happy and told me many times how amazing it was and how much he loved it ! (Later in the week-end, he told me that he talked about this gift to other fans and that he told to all his friends about it ahah). We had a long talk about football, it was fun ! He wrote my autograph :
Tumblr media
I told him my mom was at the con and he was so excited ahah (When i saw him later, for the photo ops, my mom was behind in the queue and he told me : “Is that your mom ? You look just like her” and after that, he called her “mom” the whole week-end, even signed her autographe “to Annette/Mom”, ADORABLE !)
Then, i wanted my Gendry Funko pop signed too and i asked him a Gendrya quote. He went with “I can be your family” and told me “I know it’s an Arya quote, but that scene was so emotional and i loved it”, i was like “awww”.
Tumblr media
Then, i had to leave, after my 15 minutes with him ahah. I saw him many times during the afternoon : for his meeting-room, his photo ops, the duo with Iwan, the group picture and the duo with Jacob (he loved the idea of using kazoos lmao). He was always so kind, always had a cute word for me like “nice to see you Estelle” and he even called me “lovely Estelle”.
I saw him after, for the selfie lounge and the VIP moment. During the selfie lounge, I went to see all the other actors and had nice chats with all of them, and I finished with Joe. And when I went to see him, we had an adorable and funny moment.
I wanted a seflie with Jacob and him. But Jacob was sitting with Pilou and Gemma. So Joe, who had already taken me by the waist for our photo, took me to them. All three stared at us, as we came towards them, holding each other’s waist, and Jacob said : “Are you gonna make an annoucement ?”. We laughed and I said that I just wanted a selfie. Jacob replied : “Oh shit, I was hoping for some exciting news” and Gemma said : “I’m so disappointed right now”, it was so funny.
I took my selfies with Joe and Jacob, and then, only with Joe.
Tumblr media
After that, the VIP moment started. I literally spent 30 minutes with Joe, talking about a lot of things, like football (yes, again ahah), his home, Nottingham, Notting Hill, Hugh Grant, alcohol, his rosy cheeks (yes, don’t ask me why…..), the con itself, my job, etc. It was incredible, but really simple, like if I was talking to a friend, because he makes you feel so confortable ! We also talked about Gendry’s proposal, it was nice.
After that, i saw him and talked quickly with him at the pizzama party, but i spent most of the time with my friends.
Sunday autographs were quicker, because Joe’s manager asked him and the staff to spent less time with fans. But I still had a good five minutes with him. We talked about our nights, the book, our pictures from saturday, his football shirts collection, etc.
I gave him the letter and the bracelet from @whatmakesmebleed and he was truly happy about him. He immediatly put the bracelet and asked me to take a picture of him for Amber. It was really nice and thoughtful. He also said that he was so sorry to cancel Con of Thrones.
Then, he wrote me the cutest autograph i’ve ever read. When he was writing, the staff member who was next to him looked at me with a big smile, and my friend Johanna, who was behind me, hold my hand so tight. He hugged me and told me he was always happy to see me and that i was lovely.
Tumblr media
After that, i saw him again for his meeting room, his photo ops (he made a joke about the proposal pic, about my ring ahah), the duo with Iwan, the group picture and the duo with Jacob. This duo was my last photo op of the week-end and i was really sad. When i told him it was our last moment together, he hugged me and told me again stuffs like “it’s always lovely to see you Estelle” etc., and even Jacob, who isn’t a hugger, hugged me ahah
As all my friends, i was a mess during the closing ceremony and we were all so sad when they left the stage. But then, we had a little surprise. Joe’s manager (who is also the manager of most of the actors who were there) allowed us (people with VIP pass) to come in the selfie lounge room (before it started) to say goodbye to the actors. They were all so cute, they all hugged us, Joe came twice to me to say “bye” and hugged me. I thanked him, he thanked me, it was messy, but it was a perfect way to end the week-end.
And when he left the selfie lounge room, 30 minutes later, i was waiting for my last printed photo op and he waved at me and said “goodbye” one last time.
Now, i have the worst DPC ever, but this week-end was absolutely perfect. I had a blast, all the guests were amazing, nice and funny, and Joe was simply the best.
Sorry for the long text, but I wanted to share that with you. Thanks for reading !!

Facebook Dating launch blocked in Europe after it fails to show privacy workings
Facebook has been left red-faced after being forced to call off the launch date of its dating service in Europe because it failed to give its lead EU data regulator enough advanced warning — including failing to demonstrate it had performed a legally required assessment of privacy risks.
Late yesterday Ireland’s Independent.ie newspaper reported that the Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC) had sent agents to Facebook’s Dublin office seeking documentation that Facebook had failed to provide — using inspection and document seizure powers set out in Section 130 of the country’s Data Protection Act.
In a statement on its website the DPC said Facebook first contacted it about the rollout of the dating feature in the EU on February 3.
“We were very concerned that this was the first that we’d heard from Facebook Ireland about this new feature, considering that it was their intention to roll it out tomorrow, 13 February,” the regulator writes. “Our concerns were further compounded by the fact that no information/documentation was provided to us on 3 February in relation to the Data Protection Impact Assessment [DPIA] or the decision-making processes that were undertaken by Facebook Ireland.”
Facebook announced its plan to get into the dating game all the way back in May 2018, trailing its Tinder-encroaching idea to bake a dating feature for non-friends into its social network at its F8 developer conference.
It went on to test launch the product in Colombia a few months later. And since then it’s been gradually adding more countries in South American and Asia. It also launched in the US last fall — soon after it was fined $5BN by the FTC for historical privacy lapses.
At the time of its US launch Facebook said dating would arrive in Europe by early 2020. It just didn’t think to keep its lead EU privacy regulator in the loop — despite the DPC having multiple (ongoing) investigations into other Facebook-owned products at this stage.
Which is either extremely careless or, well, an intentional fuck you to privacy oversight of its data-mining activities. (Among multiple probes being carried out under Europe’s General Data Protection Regulation, the DPC is looking into Facebook’s claimed legal basis for processing people’s data under the Facebook T&Cs, for example.)
The DPC’s statement confirms that its agents visited Facebook’s Dublin office on February 10 to carry out an inspection — in order to “expedite the procurement of the relevant documentation”.
Which is a nice way of the DPC saying Facebook spent a whole week still not sending it the required information.
“Facebook Ireland informed us last night that they have postponed the roll-out of this feature,” the DPC’s statement goes on.
Which is a nice way of saying Facebook fucked up and is being made to put a product rollout it’s been planning for at least half a year on ice.
The DPC’s head of communications, Graham Doyle, confirmed the enforcement action, telling us: “We’re currently reviewing all the documentation that we gathered as part of the inspection on Monday and we have posed further questions to Facebook and are awaiting the reply.”
“Contained in the documentation we gathered on Monday was a DPIA,” he added.
This begs the question why Facebook didn’t send the DPIA to the DPC on February 3 — unless of course this document did not actually exist on that date…
We’ve reached out to Facebook for comment — and to ask when it carried out the DPIA. Update: A Facebook spokesperson has now sent this statement:
It’s really important that we get the launch of Facebook Dating right so we are taking a bit more time to make sure the product is ready for the European market. We worked carefully to create strong privacy safeguards, and complete the data processing impact assessment ahead of the proposed launch in Europe, which we shared with the IDPC when it was requested.
We’ve asked the company why, if it’s “really important” to get the launch “right” it did not provide the DPC with the required documentation in advance — instead of the regulator having to send agents to Facebook’s offices to get it themselves. We’ll will update this report with any response.
We’ve also asked the DPC to confirm its next steps. The regulator could ask Facebook to make changes to how the product functions in Europe if it’s not satisfied it complies with EU laws. So a delay may mean many things.
Under GDPR there’s a requirement for data controllers to bake privacy by design and default into products which are handling people’s information. And a dating product clearly is.
While a DPIA — which is a process whereby planned processing of personal data is assessed to consider the impact on the rights and freedoms of individuals — is a requirement under the GDPR when, for example, individual profiling is taking place or there’s processing of sensitive data on a large scale.
Again, the launch of a dating product on a platform such as Facebook — which has hundreds of millions of regional users — would be a clear-cut case for such an assessment to be carried out ahead of any launch.

Honestly you should ask them to take down the article. If you dont like the way they portrayed you, especially without ever asking or informing you, youre absolutely within your rights to want it gone. Not trying to fan the flames or make you upset, but it seems really disrespectful for them to basically make up random info about you
I emailed just now to ask/tell them to take it down. It was a little harder than I thought it would be just to find a viable email or form.
(From the article > More v > Contact Support > Contact > Contacts > Editorial Inquiries)
Which seems a very roundabout way to have to go just for one specific article. And I know most people would have given up at one of those earlier steps along the way because they're making it intentionally inconvenient. :/
Maybe I'm getting old (and/or misremembering) but didn't places used to put the author's work email or something in the article? And reporters/journalists would actually reach out to people before writing about how they went viral or got internet famous? I remember people used to tweet shit like "Hi I'm a reporter at ____ Can we have your permission to use this story in an article?". I guess IGN isn't like a big media site, but if it's gonna try to act like one...shouldn't they do that at least?
Idk I'm still a little upset about it. I went to sleep angry and woke up still miffed. I want this to be a quiet little thing where someone on their editorial staff is like "Oh darn! They got us cheap content farming (stealing) from reddit again! Yeah we'll take this one down and we won't do anything like it again (*winkwink*). Thanks for the feedback!" and then the article is removed. That's it. I don't want this to be some stupid "OH YOU DON'T LIKE WHAT WE SAID HUH? WELL FUCK YOU WE DO WHAT WE WANT" and then I'm shamed and embarrassed for caring about things.

Dota 2 Legend Claims China Can’t Keep Up With Global Competition Anymore
Tumblr media
Former PSG.LGD Dota 2 star Wang “Ame” Chunyu has expressed his doubts about the ability of Chinese teams to win Major tournaments in a recent Twitch stream. As Dota 2 has a few high-prize pool events lined up for the rest of 2023, Ame has been receiving questions about whether he’d return to play. The carry player’s reply to the question was a resounding no, and if he were to return to the competitive Dota scene, he didn’t think there was a Chinese team that could win an international tournament right now. https://twitter.com/Tr1H4rd3rDota2/status/1640631805303980033 The Chinese Dota 2 teams performed below expectations at the Lima Major, and two of the participating teams from the region were accused of match-fixing at the event. These concerns turned out to be justified, with Valve banning over 40 players while kicking five teams who were involved in the controversy. The situation was a massive blow to the Chinese Dota 2 scene’s reputation, but teams that remain in the DPC are after redemption. The latest iteration of LGD already guaranteed their spot at the Berlin Major after not dropping a single map in five series. Though there are still teams and players performing to the best of their abilities to bring glory to their home region, one shouldn’t also forget about the disheartening conditions that they’re competing in. Dota 2’s Major tournaments have adopted a very predatory prize pool distribution over the last two years, meaning teams that don’t secure a top-four finish receive close to nothing or even laughable amounts. This resulted in many stars preferring to become full-time streamers over pro Dota 2 players since it’s been the more lucrative route in China at the moment. Read the full article

27. “No. Regrets.” Bughead
27: “No. Regrets.”
Betty was all but running toward Jughead’s flat, her heart beating faster with every step. She could still see the confusion in Archie’s eyes when she had confronted him about stringing her along and leading her on. And the audacity he had had to show hurt when she said whatever back and forth thing they were doing was over. When he asked her what had prompted this sudden change of heart, she said she didn’t know.
That was a lie.
Jughead Jones had prompted a sudden change of heart quite literally when he kissed her and she, against all odds, found herself kissing him back. It was weird because she had never liked someone other than Archie and yet she knew she liked Jughead. That much had been clear enough when she had had the best kiss of her life.
She knocked rapidly thrice and he opened the door, his gaze falling to the ground when he realised it was her.
“Betty, I’m so sorry about the other day. I know you like Archie and maybe he likes you back, I don’t know - you can never tell with that boy. But I knew that maybe there was a chance and I know how long you’ve wanted it and I still–”
“Do you regret it?” She interrupted him - she hadn’t expected an apology. In fact, she hadn’t expected any talking. In her mind she was just going to show up and kiss him and then go from there. He frowned at her question and pondered for a moment before coming to a conclusion.
“No, I don’t. No. Regrets,” he answered, much to her relief.
“Would you do it again?” A smile of cautious optimism lit up his face.
“In a heartbeat.”
“Good.” She said, placing her hands on his cheeks and kissing him without any further discussion.

piteousgate replied to your post “Why the fuck isn't LARPing a spectator sport? I would watch the shit...”
Tragically, I'm quite aways away from your LARP set up but do y'all do any livestreaming
Not of larp. Bandwidth is a hassle from most locs, plus there are a number of people I larp with that prefer not to have their face on tinternet, so it becomes difficult.
As a pre-announced thing for a new larp, though, so people can opt-out if it isn’t something they’re happy with happening, I can see it work.
Actually, for a scifi thing I’m working on, I’m aiming for people to be able to play trader/DPC/Remote-contact characters via telepresence, which might be another way of making it work.
(That would be http://aquarion.github.io/trajectory/ , for those playing at home)

Fear is taking a break from competitive Dota 2
Clinton ‘Fear’ Loomis is taking a break from competitive Dota 2 for an unspecified time. It looks like business associates won’t be making a lot of appearances in the upcoming Dota 2 professional series. The team lost its captain as Fear takes a break from Dota 2.
It's sad that we won't see @FearDotA in action for a while, but we know when he comes back he'll be better than ever! #Dota2 #gaming #esports https://t.co/VTDbXTMe8N

Beyond the Summit Pro Series
Beyond the Summit Pro Series Season 3: Americas include Business Associates as one of the competitors. As the series moved forward and matches started to heat up, the roster of Business associates changed. The team is playing under the alias of Team Zero. Also, Fear is not captaining the team anymore as he takes a break from the competitive scene.
Business Associates current players
Currently, three out of five players are playing through Business Associates. However, two stand-ins are also joining the team in different tournaments. The stand-ins include Jacky ‘EternalEnvy’ Mao and Jingjun ‘Sneyking’ Wu. The squad is now the same for several months.
Fear replied to his fans through Twitter, telling about the current situation. He said he is going to take a break from the competitive Dota 2 as the DPC is not coming back until 2021. He also said that his three teammates still wished to play Dota 2 and they are doing so.
Fear didn’t mention the expected time of his return. Fans are expecting him to come back in a few months.
Team Zero’s Squad
Team Zero is right now functioning through a lot of substitutes.  Three of the business associates members joined the team to complete its squad. Along with EE, Jigjun ‘Sneyking’ Wu and Braxton ‘Brax’ Paulson remained to play. However, David ‘Moo’ Hull has not made any statement yet. He is currently not on the Team Zero’s roster and he hasn’t shared any details about it.
Eternal Envy also joined Eric ‘Ryoya’ Dong with him to add another member to the squad. Ryoya last played from Evil Geniuses in the previous Beyond the Summit Pro Series. With his company, the squad finally lacked one player. The final player to complete the squad became Sivatheeban ‘1437’ Sivanathapillai. He last played through J.Storm which eventually broke down to business associates.
The future of Business associates
With the current situation, it is uncertain what will happen with business associates. The team is lacking its captain and the whole squad has jumped out. Right now, the players are playing with different teams. EternalEnvy takes more than half of the squad with him to form a new stack. Currently, he is taking his new team to different tournaments. With Fear leaving the team and EE taking the players away, team business associates have a future nobody knows of.
We can only wait for Fear’s next statement regarding his return to the pro-Dota 2. As he might bring back his old squad and continue with the previous team. Until then, we can enjoy Team Zero and its plays.
Fear confirms that he will be taking a break from competitive Dota 2 while the business associates players will continue under a new name.https://t.co/hOjGOa3cjv
