Archmage Bronner’s Arcane Tonic

Wondrous item, Uncommon

This rune-scrawled bottle of brown, minty-smelling liquid enables its user to cast prestidigitation at will, with no verbal component, by applying a single drop to any creature or object. However, unlike a normal casting of prestidigitation, the user does not choose the effect to be produced; rather, the GM chooses the effect by interpreting the manner in which the arcane tonic is applied.

In many cases, the appropriate interpretation will be obvious – for example, using a drop to brush one’s teeth triggers prestidigitation’s cleaning effect, targeting the user’s teeth. In other cases, the GM may be obliged to exercise a measure of creativity.
