So I really listened to a lot of Wooden Overcoats and Dr.Henry is one of my favorite characters, mainly because of his relationship with Esther!

Having a lil lady parrot myself I can guarantee they are jealous and snarky and demonical little shits.

13 minutes more. Sleep weighs heavily on my mind as my eyes begin to flutter shut. My body begins to wind down into the eager embrace of sweet slumber.

I jolt up. Not yet, I tell myself. Not yet. Stay awake for just 9 minutes more. Your day is not yet done for the world still spins and life goes by.

Eyes open, back straight for hours on end. My foundation is crumbling more and more every day as I struggle to stay upright. Mind spinning in an endless cycle of churning thoughts.

Slaving away over mindless tasks that mean everything in the present but will soon become just more meaningless nothings collecting dusk in the deepest recesses of my mind.

Empty words and numbers keeping everything around me together. They hold me down and determine my future. My worth. My desires. My dreams. My life.

Sleep. Sweet sleep. The only escape I feel I can achieve from this neverending cycle that drags us all along with it. Sleep. No. 6 minutes more. Stay awake.

The lights buzz, people chatter. An unnerving lullaby that does nothing to comfort me, but rather strangles my senses. Eyes shut. Eyes open. Keyboards clacking, shuffling feet, whispered remarks, clocks ticking. Pencils scratching, footsteps. Breathing. Breathing. Breathing.

My eyes slip shut for just a second giving into the sweet rhythm that surrounds me and seeks to pull me under its endless waves. I am floating. It's peaceful. Quiet. I float.

I will continue to float for all eternity in this serendipity I've discovered. Cloaked by stars and ocean currents. I am drifting forevermore- a cough. My eyes open. I shake myself. 2 minutes more...

i wanna talk about how Chapman is not a full character to me until undertakers underground

up until that episode he is mostly an object of the funns insecurities and georgie’s annoyance he doesn’t have any more fleshing out than say dr edgware or lady templar he’s just another member of the kooky island who’s just more relevant than the rest for what he represents for funn funerals. he doesn’t have any wants or motivations he’s just doing his thing.

undertakers underground he actually shows something explicit of a want rather than another stock character. he wants to be friends with the funns he’s clear about his need to be liked by everyone. it’s something bc anyone can tell but he finally just loses it at antigone like we’ll why don’t you guys like me and it’s when he starts to crack and become worse. arguably also when he starts to develop actually feelings for antigone i think there’s lots of places you can make argument for but this one is a strong one

season 1 was like dr edgware sees eric for exactly who he is and he is so tired . he had a moment of hope he thought that maybe there was finally someone on the island competent enough to lighten his load and then his load doubled. and even if eric was never going to help, even if this was always going to go wrong, edgware was betrayed by that fire in erics eyes. he fell for it he fell for the same trick as everyone else but the true tragedy is: he woke up.
