Crossover Ships Tournament Contestants
Alright, after putting it off for a bit (due to real life being busy and also I got lazy), I’ve finally gone through and prepared the list of ships for the tournament! Congrats to the lucky 64, and apologies to anyone else whose ship didn’t make it in. I did appreciate every single entry that followed the rules, though, and all the infodumps made me smile!
Before the list, however, I wanna say that this post and the eventual bracket matchup post are going to double as places to post your propaganda via replies and reblogs (or even asks). Going forward, I will use whatever propaganda people add to the posts/send via asks with permission to add as propaganda on the eventual bracket matches. By adding any sort of replies/tags/etc to any further tournament-related posts, you are consenting to having that propaganda added into the tournament. If you are uncomfortable with this, please state it outright on any posts/asks you might send.
Also the rule about fanart for the ships still remains; if you send/provide fanart, please also provide explicit permission from the original artist or proof that you made it yourself. Otherwise, I will not feel comfortable using it in the tournament.

Angus Wilson Lennie was born on April 18th 1930 in Glasgow.
Many of you of a certain age might remember Angus as Shughie McFee, the chef in Crossroads but others, myself included he will always be remembered as Archibald Ives, 'The Mole' in one of the best ever films, in my opinion, The Great Escape.
Lennie was born and brought up in Shettleston, in Glasgow's East End, where he attended Eastbank Academy he began in show business as a dancer and stand up comedian. He was a song and dance man by the age of 14, performing at the Glasgow Metropole and was then on the variety circuit prior to making the transition into stage acting at Perth Theatre in the late 1940's In 1957, he made his television debut in the Armchair Theatre play The Mortimer Touch.
Two years later, he was cast as the cabin boy Sunny Jim in the BBC Scotland comedy series Para Handy- Master Mariner the first of the Para Handy tales in 1959. Other TV roles through the years included, The Saint Dr Who, Z Cars, Rumpole of the Bailey, Lovejoy, The Onedin Line, All Night Long, Keeping Up Appearances and Monarch of the Glen.
On stage, he appeared in six pantomimes over 10 years with the comedian Stanley Baxter at the King's Theatres in Edinburgh and Glasgow, and toured the Far East with Derek Nimmo's company.
On the big screen as well as The Great Escape he was also in Oh What a Lovely War, 633 Squadron and The V.I.P.s alongside Richard Burton.
Lennie died on 14 September 2014 in Acton, West London, aged 84.

'Cillian Murphy quite literally wandered into acting. At the age of 20, he walked up to the door of the Corcadorca Theatre Company in his hometown of Cork, Ireland, and knocked. He told the person who answered that he’d be interested in getting involved in any upcoming shows, and the man suggested he try out for a new play called “Disco Pigs,” about a pair of reckless teenagers. It was Murphy’s first audition, and he got the part.
The Enda Walsh play was a big success, moving to larger and larger theaters and eventually leading to a film adaptation in 2001 from director Kirsten Sheridan. That film caught the eye of filmmaker Danny Boyle, then looking to cast a fresh face for his post-apocalyptic thriller “28 Days Later.”
The rest is history — or history in the making as, 20 years later, Murphy is continuing to seek out bold projects with some of the best filmmakers working today. That includes Christopher Nolan, who first brought Murphy to supervillain stardom in “Batman Begins” and who directs the actor in the titular role in “Oppenheimer,” now in theaters. It’s their sixth collaboration, and Murphy’s biggest role yet, playing the complex physicist and “father of the atomic bomb” over a course of several years and a three-hour runtime. It’s one of Murphy’s finest performances, which is saying a lot.
There isn’t a genre or a medium the actor has shied away from over the years. And while some films might not always work as a whole, Murphy always shines. He’s also a true actor’s actor, one who understands every role is integral and is comfortable taking on supporting parts. Here’s a look at 10 of his best performances from his career on stage, film and television.
10. 28 Days Later (2002)
Tumblr media
This is how most of the world was introduced to Murphy — a pair of impossibly blue eyes fill the screen as his character, a bicycle courier named Jim, awakes from a coma in Danny Boyle’s heralded action epic. He’s been asleep less than a month, but a lot can happen in that time — including the complete collapse of society thanks to a virus called “Rage” that turns its victims into mindless aggressors. (Note that the Z-word is never uttered throughout the film.) It’s a star-making turn for Murphy, only 24 at the time, who not only carries the film but holds his own against such impressive cast members as Brendan Gleeson and Naomie Harris as fellow survivors. Jim is discovering everything at the same time as the viewer, and Murphy makes the perfect audience surrogate, taking everything in with a suitably shocked but level-headed demeanor. He’s not a traditional action hero, and that’s the point: He’s just an ordinary man trying to navigate an entirely new world.
9. Batman Begins (2005)
Tumblr media
Prior to Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy, films adapted from comics were a largely uplifting affair full of primary colors and bright locations. It’s easy to forget how much had to go right for “Batman Begins” to succeed, but it started with finding a villain who was as compelling as his nemesis. Though Murphy originally tested for Bruce Wayne/Batman, it was a stroke of genius that Nolan would peg him as Dr. Jonathan Crane, aka Scarecrow. With a charisma that can be both terrifying and seductive (which would become a Murphy speciality in years to come) Crane doesn’t need to showboat he’s the bad guy. Rather, he exudes a calm confidence, taking his time with methodical precision. Even the way he says the word “Batman,” drawing it out into two separate words, is chilling. It was wise of Nolan to include Scarecrow in the film’s two sequels — particularly in “The Dark Knight Rises,” where he pops up as a judge in a kangaroo courtroom with a smirk (“Exile or death?”) that shows he’s enjoying this almost as much as the audience is.
8. Red Eye (2005)
Tumblr media
It would be easy to dismiss Wes Craven’s tight thriller — largely set onboard a red-eye flight in which a terrorist threatens a fellow passenger in order to pull off an assassination plot at the hotel she manages — because it’s so damn fun. But it’s also a clever, lean thriller buoyed by two actors toward the beginning of their film careers. Murphy is the perhaps too-aptly named Jackson Rippner while Rachel McAdams is his victim, Lisa Reisert. Part of the brilliance of Carl Ellsworth’s script is how the first few minutes play like a rom-com; two impossibly good-looking people meet cute at the airport and sparks immediately fly. Murphy understands that Rippner can’t telegraph evil — this is a man chosen for the assignment because he has deep resources of charm. They engage in a cat-and-mouse game throughout the flight that is so charged, don’t be surprised if there’s a part of you wondering if these two crazy kids can work it out.
7. Breakfast on Pluto (2005)
Tumblr media
From the beginning of his film career, Murphy refused to be pigeonholed, seeking out unique projects and interesting roles without much of a concern for box office results. The same year he made his supervillain debut in “Batman Begins,” he pivoted by playing Kitten, the transgender heroine searching for love and her birth mother in Neil Jordan’s adaptation of Pat McCabe’s novel. While the casting of a cis man in the role might raise issues today, Murphy’s portrayal is a loving homage to the tenacity and tenderness of the character. Kitten is charming and determined, and Murphy finds a joy in her life even when things take a dark turn. It’s also a chance for Murphy to reunite with some of his previous co-stars, including Gleeson, Stephen Rea and Liam Neeson – forming a powerhouse of Irish performers.
6. Disco Pigs (2001)
Tumblr media
Murphy’s feature film debut is an adaptation of the Enda Walsh play in which he made his theatrical (and acting) debut. Murphy stars as “Pig” and Elaine Cassidy is “Runt,” a pair of teenagers who have been devoted to one another since birth. Pig is all raging id, completely unpredictable and prone to violent outbursts. But Murphy also shows his deep vulnerability and affection for his friend, particularly as their relationship begins to shift away from purely platonic. It’s a stunning debut, and Murphy’s raw talent and potential are on full display. So much so that the film caught the eye of an up-and-coming director named Danny Boyle, who would go on to cast Murphy in his breakout “28 Days Later” role.
5. The Wind that Shakes the Barley (2006)
Tumblr media
Ken Loach is such a perfect fit for Murphy, it’s a shame the two haven’t collaborated on another film since this tale of two war-torn brothers during the Irish War of Independence. Murphy is Damien, a doctor who initially wants no part of the fighting, resigned to the idea that the war is unwinnable. But after witnessing several injustices, he impulsively joins the Irish Republican Army. Murphy portrays the transformation into a radicalized soldier who ultimately sacrifices everything for his cause without ever hitting a false note. It’s a heartbreaking, emotional journey that grounds the film, which went on to win the Palme d’Or at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival and is regarded by many as Loach’s best.
4. Peaky Blinders (2013-2022)
Tumblr media
Murphy has always been drawn to the written word, no matter the medium. So after headlining films from the likes of Danny Boyle and Neil Jordan, he made a point to return to the stage and had no qualms about signing up for a television series penned by acclaimed writer Steven Knight (“Dirty Pretty Things,” “Eastern Promises”). The actor is a perfect fit in Knight’s universe of morally compromised men you can’t take your eyes off of. His Tommy Shelby is a war veteran turned leader of the Peaky Blinders criminal organization. His work is all pragmatism: He’s often stoic as he manipulates and calculates. But he’s also haunted — both by what he’s seen in the war and by his deep and abiding love for his late wife Grace. Of course, Murphy is so magnetic, fans of the show often have to be reminded that he is actually a villain. Put aside the mass murder and corruption — I’m still not over him shooting that horse.
3. Oppenheimer (2023)
Tumblr media
After five collaborations with Nolan, the filmmaker finally let Murphy take the lead — and it was worth waiting for. Murphy portrays the rise and fall of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the theoretical physicist known as the creator of the atomic bomb. Murphy ricochets through time, portraying Oppenheimer in his young adulthood as a fragile student, his glory heading The Manhattan Project and his later years where he’s fighting the government that once heralded him. These three timelines are usually easy to distinguish from one another, but sometimes they flow together with no obvious way to differentiate –yet Murphy is always precisely where he needs to be. Though Oppenheimer is a mass of contradictions — he can be controlled yet irrational, naïve yet arrogant — he always makes sense through Murphy’s interpretation. He is particularly haunting playing Oppenheimer in his later years: Both physically and spiritually, you feel like you’re watching a man fading away before your eyes.
2. Misterman (2011)
Tumblr media
For this tour-de-force, Murphy went back to where it all began – not only the theater but specifically a play by Enda Walsh, whose “Disco Pigs” set Murphy on his journey as an actor. He plays Thomas Magill (never “Tom”) a loner and fanatic on a mission to cleanse his small Irish town of its sins. Murphy is the only actor on stage for the duration of the play, but this is not a staid affair — he literally bounces off the walls, hurls objects and races back and forth — all as he builds his story to a powerful crescendo. It’s exhausting just to watch, and yet you won’t be able to look away. While Murphy performed the role on several stages, it was also filmed as part of National Theatre at Home series for Landmark Productions, who show it on occasion. Keep an eye out, as it’s not one to be missed.
1. Inception (2010)
Tumblr media
When citing Murphy’s collaborations with Nolan, it would make sense to favor “Dunkirk,” in which he offers a harrowing depiction of PTSD as a traumatized solider; or “Oppenheimer,” in which he occupies nearly every frame as the star of the film. But for me, Murphy is the lynchpin in one of Nolan’s best, most ambitious and most emotional masterpieces, the byzantine thriller “Inception.” He plays Robert Michael Fischer, the heir to a business empire whose unresolved daddy issues make him the target of a team of “extractors.” Led by Leonardo DiCaprio’s Dom Cobb, the thieves use dream technology to infiltrate the subconscious of a target to access information. Fischer is a man of few words and Murphy is fantastic at quietly communicating his pain and making you care for a character that is, in many ways, intended to be a cipher. Murphy shows that “best” doesn’t need to mean “most” — both in terms of the size of the role and the acting, delivering a sublime supporting performance that the entire movie rests on. Nolan is often accused (wrongly) of being a cold filmmaker. But the moment where Fischer finds closure with his late father is perhaps the most affecting gut-punch he’s ever delivered, thanks largely to Murphy’s beautiful performance.'

neuvěřitelné se stalo skutečností – poprvé od 4. října 2023 jsem musela vytvořit novou koláž top 3! nemůžu uvěřit, že jste si dovolili sesadit Libušku Šafránkovou z trůnu, bů, hanba 👎
dva nové filmy v top 10 (pohádka o princezně s vzácnou anomálií tváře a komedie s Hanzlíkem a Kopeckým) nahradily pohádku o princezně s vzácnou anomálií tváře a komedii s Hanzlíkem a Kopeckým *insert Thanos meme*

I love dubbing culture. my mom is rewatching BBC Sherlock and all my instincts told me I knew John Watson's voice. I thought it was Anastasia's Dimitri. I checked, and I was right, but it was also Goku from Dragon Ball Z. I love the variety here. Thank you Mr Mario Castañeda aka McGyver aka Bruce Willis and Jim Carrey in all their movies aka Dr Benton from ER and countless, countless more

Kendrick Lamar's 'good kid, m.A.A.d city' Turns 10
Before Kendrick Lamar retreated inward and declared “I choose me,” he chose to channel every resident of his small corner of California. A concept album about a single day in teenage Kendrick’s life, good kid, m.A.A.d. city presents Compton as a treacherous wonderland that variously devours and nurtures its young. Inspired by Los Angeles’ linked canons of gangster rap and hood movies, and eager to complicate that history, Kendrick and his collaborators plop a new Compton on top of the familiar one, smashing together past and present.
Kendrick’s Hub City overflows with echoes and ricochets. His songs don’t just represent or reintroduce his mythologized hometown; they conduct it. Like Professor X patched into Cerebro, Kendrick projects his antsy mind into the heads of his neighbors, kin, and rap influences and harnesses the psychic feedback. Ghosts of homies and relatives speak to and through him as he hits laced blunts and licks. Gangbangers and cops stomp him out. Voicemails about missing dominos and realness accumulate in his inbox. “Seem like the whole city go against me,” he murmurs on “m.A.A.d. city,” the line capturing both the blunt force of this ambient pressure and its concussive recoil. Kendrick was far from the first rapper to spotlight the casualties and bystanders of LA’s gangland conflicts — laments for the fallen are a staple of West Coast rap — but he was the first rapper to completely fold such hauntings into his style. Every line, melody, and scene of his “short film” is a seance, Kendrick summoning local spirits and contorting his elastic voice to transmit their tales alongside his own.
Released 10 years ago this Saturday, the album touched down at a time when rap was divided along now moot fault lines: mixtape versus album, underground versus commercial, web versus radio. Few rappers bridged these worlds, and the ones who did were deeply polarizing. Nicki Minaj, the best rapper of 2012, backed out of her Summer Jam performance because Peter Rosenberg said her pop rap hit “Starships” was not “real hip-hop,” a microcosm of the reception of Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. Drake was already a meme and a superstar; a Take Caresingle or feature seemed to go platinum every day. Drill mutated in real-time as talking heads and critics wrung their hands. Lil B became a college lecturer. Azealia Banks resurrected hip-house and called Jim Jones a fellow Harlem bitch. Kanye and JAY-Z riled arenas into frenzies performing encores of “Niggas in Paris.”
good kid, m.A.A.d. city ignored everything around it. With a cosign from Dr. Dre and the full resources of Interscope and Aftermath, Kendrick and TDE doubled down on their bona fides, and the ploy worked. The album’s one-two punch of autobiographical specificity and coming-of-age relatability quickly catapulted Kendrick to still shocking levels of visibility and acclaim. Off one album that’s short on hits and crammed with skits and knotty rhymes, Kendrick went from blogger fave to rap messiah.
Listeners immediately and prematurely deemed good kid, m.A.A.d. city a classic on arrival, but 10 years later the assessment stands. Vince Staples’ wry anti-gangster rap, J. Cole’s anguished survivor’s guilt, Chance The Rapper’s black boy joy, JID’s conscious trap, among other currents, all trace back to Kendrick’s intimate yoking of narrator and homeland. He didn’t fuck up the game with one verse until 2013, but he proved the viability of a building core audience in an atomized landscape, a dynamic that has intensified in this era of invisible stardom.
To this day, the album remains the fulcrum of Kendrick’s mythology, the trunk from which every collective idea about the rapper and his music branches off. Though he’s rapped as Jesus, Lucifer, and Erik Kilmonger, declared himself the king of New York and a Black Israelite, and repeatedly shared his love of fucking, huge swaths of rap listeners still think of him as the consummate good kid. Even the abrasive psychodrama of this year’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers hasn’t shaken the legend. Because of this album, he is forever rap’s Peter Parker: an anxious chatterbox fighting enormous odds.
He started calling Compton a “mad city” and himself a “good kid” as early as 2009’s Kendrick Lamar EP — which marked his transition from K. Dot to Kendrick Lamar, artiste — but it took years for the phrases to expand into widescreen allegories. “K.Dot was just rapping,” he told XXL in 2012, explaining the name change. “Kendrick Lamar reminisces when his older cousins, 16, 17 years old, had their little girlfriends over there, being in a relationship with them and they whooping they ass and shit in my living room while I’m playing Sega.” By Section.80, he identified as an observer and questioner, planting himself in the “dead fucking center, looking around” on “Ab-Soul’s Outro,” but he still struggled to tell his origin story with the clarity and gravity with which he experienced it.
According to TDE producer Sounwave, the earliest version of good kid, m.A.A.d. city was completed in 2010 then scrapped, a pattern that repeated at least three times by Kendrick’s count. “I wanted to tell that story, but I had to execute it,” Kendrick toldBillboard in 2017. “My whole thing is about execution. The songs can be great, the hooks can be great, but if it’s not executed well, then it’s not a great album.” That perfectionist streak, which TDE exec Punch has attributedto TDE working alongside Dr. Dre during the Detox sessions, pushed Kendrick to pack every image and melody with purpose and sentiment.
The focus considerably sharpens his songwriting. His flows glide over, weave through, and pummel these tracks while minding the guardrails of his day-in-the-life concept. Instead of embracing volume like his influences Lil Wayne and Eminem, he commits to density. Fact, fancy, and mouthfeel constantly converge as he raps. There is an almost cartoonish quality to the way the writing warps reality. Animosity grows “as big as a building.” Heads “crawl” into nooses. Banana clips split banana pudding. Alcoholics live their lives insidetheir bottles. Kendrick’s story of redemption through rap and community keeps his zany poetics from veering into complete abstraction, but the real and the surreal are always intertwined.
As literary critics and English teachers have praised Kendrick’s storytelling, they’ve tended to ignore his style and musicality, which are as much of the story as his raw dispatches about hood life. None of the autobiography works without the freeform buoyancy of his rapping. Realism informs Kendrick’s writing, but like the many movies that influence it — Boyz N The Hood, Pulp Fiction, Training Day, Children Of The Corn, Poetic Justice — good kid, m.A.A.d. city is never strictly about reality. Kendrick is a dreamer and a parabolist sifting through the fog of trauma and nostalgia in search of clarity and purpose. Although he uses real names and details from his life, and the album artwork comprises creased polaroids from his childhood, the goal is emotional rather than journalistic truth. It doesn’t matter whether he actually held a cul-de-sac hostage or staged a robbery at his job. He just wants to make sense of a world where such episodes really happen. These songs are visions as much as diary pages.
The production is just as dreamlike and heady. Taking cues from the cinematic soundscapes of Dr. Dre and the aquatic blends of the Dungeon Family, Kendrick and the producers load the tracks with layered vocals, supple basslines, and lush strings that enhance the mise-en-scène of Kendrick’s jittery vignettes. Every beat prioritizes fluidity and immersion, complementing Kendrick’s frequent mentions of water. The polished arrangements are as imagistic as Kendrick’s writing: the bass guitar on “Sherane a.k.a Master Splinter’s Daughter” ripples across the drums like moonlight over a lake; the misty keys on “Real” drift over Anna Wise’s harmonies like fog; the hydraulic bounce and “Bird In The Hand” sample of “m.A.A.d. city” immediately portal you to somewhere in South Central, hopefully an address where you’re welcome. Every little detail reclaims Compton as a material place where real people live and die and dream.
Some people even survive, a sentiment evoked by the finale, “Compton.” Breezy non-album single “The Recipe” is a better song, but the celebratory retromodern beat that Just Blaze beat supplies for “Compton” matches the occasion. Kendrick made it out the mad city with his heart still beating. That success would fray into survivor’s guilt and resentment in his subsequent music. “A good kid? Yeah that’s only in my mama’s eyes,” Kendrick raps on Ab-Soul’s These Days…from 2014, already tired with his anointing. That exhaustion with fame and expectations would grow as his stock rose, and become a pillar of his deeply self-conscious music. But in the confines of this bracing and hopeful album, the good kid’s victory is forever sweet.

On the big screen as well as The Great Escape he was also in Oh What a Lovely War, 633 Squadron and The V.I.P.s alongside Richard Burton.

both sam and dean's hair looks weird. dean's too dark, sam's is... sitting funny and looking different. maybe just funky lighting
PESTILENCE So, you've got to wonder why God pours all his love into something so messy... and weak. It's ridiculous.
i mean, i don't think god is pouring anything at the moment
SAM Did you kiss him?
DEAN Sam!

this interlude introducing big d death, really featuring the song. they haven't used much of the classic rock persuasion this season. some interesting tidbits about the o, death song
(wiki)
CW senior VP and creative executive Chris Donovan, decided that using the old spiritual "O Death" (heard in "Brother Where Art Thou") fit well with the themes of Season 5. He contacted Jennifer Titus, a well-known name around the CW, about singing the song. She recorded a preview of the song on her iPhone and sent it to him.
Donovan was extremely impressed, and upon a slight re-write of the lyrics to fit the show better, Titus came into the studio and recorded the official version. CW Staff members recorded the humming heard in the song, and Leonard Richardson, the executive in charge of music on the CW, mixed the track. Source.
i'm not surprised but also side eye at crowley "fixing" bobby
Tumblr media
DEAN God? You'll reap God?
DEATH Oh, yes. God will die, too, Dean.
DEAN Well, this is way above my pay grade.
DEATH Just a bit.

DEAN What do you think Death does to people who lie to his face?
BOBBY Nothing good.
DEAN Yeah.
BOBBY What'd you say?
DEAN That I was cool with Sam driving the bus on the whole Lucifer plan.
so i hate to say it, but man sometimes i think they're asking jim beaver more than he can deliver with bobby. like he was so clearly trying to have some sort of revelation in the warehouse when sam was evacuating the humans, but it was so. over the top. and still not really clear was his deal was. it was strange. but things often feel sort of forced with him and this character, to me.
Tumblr media
BOBBY So I got to ask, Dean. What exactly are you afraid of? Losing? Or losing your brother?
he only went to hell already to save sam, what kind of question is that bobby :p i know this was just for the show's sake and i hate to bring reality into it but anyone is gonna be freaked out about their sibling killing themselves even if it's for the greater good.
sidenote i also appreciate that the captions on netflix use Cass for cas, because that is totally how they pronounce it and along with my pronunciation surprises over castiel and alastair i also was not expecting cas to be said like that. cas would with regular english rules be ending in a more z sound! don't be afraid of the more feminine spelling lol

New Age Manifestation Methods: How Magick is Seeping into Popular Culture and How to Utilize it to Manifest Your Dream Life
Every magickal practitioner who has even the least bit of exposure to popular culture has heard of it; New Age manifestation methods are all the rage. Not only are they nearly ubiquitous now, this niche of magick is also selling like crazy. Ask the Law of Attraction gurus that make millions from what they teach; think Bob Proctor, Deepak Chopra, and Tony Robbins. And I call this a niche in magick because it has the condition of a true magickal art: that of achieving power through changing reality. Throughout this blog post, if you can spot them, I will give you practical tips on how to enhance your magick to achieve your dream life and attract abundance and prosperity using this trend of magick!
Before we dive deep, let’s clarify what New Age stuff actually is. According to an article in pewresearch.org entitled “‘New Age’ Beliefs Common Among Both Religious and Nonreligious Americans“, New Age beliefs often constitute a belief in:
-Spiritual energy that is present in everything in the universe
-Psychics
-Astrology
-Reincarnation
In the article, it states that roughly six-in-ten Americans accept at least one of these New Age beliefs regardless of their religious affiliation or lack thereof.
Although these beliefs are inherent in religions such as Buddhism, Hinduism, and Wicca, even self-professed Christians(the largest religious demographic in the U.S.) are reported to hold some of these New Age beliefs. This includes roughly 62% of Christians, 47% of Evangelicals, and 70% of Catholics.
Among the religiously unaffiliated, 56% of Agnostics, 78% described as ‘nothing in particular,’ and 22% of atheists hold New Age beliefs. The rise of acceptance among these groups can be attributed to the scientific research that has been published of the validity of its concepts such as energy and ESP(extrasensory perception) phenomena. Scientific proponents of such phenomena include psychologist Daryl Bem, Dr. William Bengston PhD, Konstantin Buteyko, and Vlail Kaznacheev. According to an article on The Guardian titled, “CIA file on Russian ESP experiments released – but you knew that, didn’t you?”, the last two scientists above were Russian scientists who conducted experiments that tested ESP, which is described in the article as “the ability to gain information, or influence physical objects, using only the mind.” Their findings, previously classified, were declassified by the CIA in 1991 after John Greenewald filed an appeal to release the records. Some of the ESP documents remained secret, as the CIA and the Air Force refused to declassify them(https://www.theblackvault.com/documentarchive/extra-sensory-perception-esp/). The results of their experiments found that psychic energy can be concentrated and transmitted, and that images can be relayed to another person’s mind.
How is this relevant in magick? When we cast a spell or perform a ritual, we concentrate energy into our magickal objects. If the objects naturally vibrate with an energy that we are trying to use(think: lemons for solar energy, roses for Venusian energy, etc.), it only adds to the power of our spell. At the end of the spell, we make a final movement that releases this energy to the universe or to our target. ESP is something we as magicians have been practicing since the beginning of time.
ESP is one of the core explanations for the validity of New Age science, as well as the ideas of quantum mechanics and string theory; both of which support the concept of a fluid, malleable universe that can be altered with consciousness.
But science is not the only field that progressively accepts the core tenets of the New Age. In the celebrity world, bigshots are revealing that the law of attraction has helped them create the amazing life they live now. Among these celebrities are Oprah Winfrey, Jay-Z, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jim Carrey, Lady Gaga, Conor McGregor, Will Smith, Steve Harvey, LMFAO, Kerri Walsh & Misty May-Treanor, and Denzel Washington. If you want to read what they said about the law of attraction, go here.
New Age thought is also seeping into the songs of popular singers. Some examples are Lil Baby’s “Dreams 2 Reality”, The Script’s “Hall of Fame”, Black Eyed Peas’ “I Got a Feeling”, Imagine Dragons’ “On Top of the World”, and Travie McCoy’s “Billionaire”. One of my personal favorites is Ariana Grande’s “Just Like Magic,” and “Successful.” These songs make you want to imagine your dream life while you’re vibing . . . and two of the steps to the manifestation process is visualization and emotion(emotion is created when you’re moved by the song, aka ‘vibing’).
Now that we’ve covered how this New Age movement has influenced mainstream thought, let’s talk about the popular manifestation methods that it espouses.
-Affirmations
-Scripting
-Visualization
-Vision Boards
-Subliminal Messages
I omitted the law of attraction from this list, because we are talking about manifestation methods here, which are tools. The law of attraction is more of a viewpoint rather than a tool; like magickal theory rather than the procedures for a spell. However, many theories can converge on the same tool, and the tool works just the same regardless of the different theories of how it works.
In addition, a New Age law called the law of assumption is quickly replacing the law of attraction; it states that to manifest your ideal life, you assume yourself to be already living that type of life. The hole in the law of attraction is its theory that if you want something so much, the universe will conspire to bring it to you. The problem with that is the lack of detachment creates a blockage from it happening. After casting a spell, we are told to “set it and forget it.” There is a reason for that message; it’s because when we obsess over the results, the intention we wanted to send out through the spell is “bound” by our obsession. Instead of being sent out to the universe, it spirals around our energetic field like a person trapped in a roller coaster. This is why the law of assumption is more valid than the law of attraction. It assumes you already are what you want to be, so you naturally detach from the outcome.
In a sense, you will see how the following methods adhere to the law of assumption.
Affirmations
Affirmations are writing down new beliefs and repeating them to yourself over and over. You recite these to yourself in the morning, at night, while driving, or doing your daily tasks. You can also write them on sticky notes or on your bathroom wall so you see them frequently. With time, these new beliefs replace your old beliefs as you drill them into your subconscious.
Repetition is the key here. Any thought, emotion, or action becomes a habit if you persistently repeat it everyday for a few months.
If you come across a point where your conscious mind argues with the affirmations, realize that it is just your old beliefs rising up to protect its position in your subconscious. In that moment, stay true to your affirmations and don’t give up; feel the resistance and eventually it will fade as your affirmations replace the old beliefs.
2. Scripting
Scripting involves writing down in detail how you would experience having what you want. An example would be describing a day in your ideal life incorporating the five senses: see, smell, taste, hear, touch.
“Outside the window wall of my penthouse, I can see the ocean in the distance and I imagine the sound of the waves from far away. I have a hot chocolate with a smell brimming of nostalgia and the delightful taste of vanilla pinched in, and I spend the morning reading a good book on my luxurious couch with my cat on my lap.”
“I enter into the building of my company, and all my colleagues greeted me enthusiastically, ready to start another eventful day as I, the CEO, present the plans for an expansion of our company to Dubai.”
“The smell of a first class airplane ride smells delightfully elegant, and as I sit on my seat I can feel the high-quality leather as I relaxed into it. The flight attendant puts desert on the table before me and I savor the taste of chocolate and mocha. The lounge looks absolutely stunning., and the view outside the plane is breathtaking.”
You don’t have to be as wordy as the three examples above. You can use scripting to manifest something simple, like a laptop:
“My new laptop feels smooth, and its color is pink and shiny. I turn it on, and the sound came on. It smells fresh from the box and brand new.”
Your style of scripting is up to you, but it has to conjure up a clear image as you write and reread it. It needs to feel like a memory playing out in your mind.
3. Visualization
Visualization is when you form an experience of your desire in your mind. It is basically like scripting, although you don’t need to write it down. However, you need to be really immersed in the visualization and feel all the feelings as if you were actually experiencing it at that moment.
4. Vision Boards
A vision board is like a collage you put together with pictures of things you want to manifest. How you make your vision board is up to you; some people cut pictures from magazines, others create their boards digitally.
When the vision board is done, you put it in a place where you will see it often like on the wall of your room or by the kitchen table. The more you see it within the periphery of your vision, the more it embeds into your subconscious.
5. Subliminal messages
Subliminal messages are affirmations or images that are positioned in a way that you don’t take notice of them consciously. The messages reach your subconscious more easily because they bypass the conscious mind, which is the main defense mechanism of your old beliefs. Thus, choosing your subliminal messages help you rewrite old beliefs pretty quickly and replace them with the new beliefs you desire.
There are an abundance of material on subliminals on the internet. Some popular ones are subliminal videos on Youtube. You choose a topic(like becoming fit or gaining wealth), search for it on Youtube, and you will have a large amount of free subliminals to choose from. Some have music in them, some have rain sounds, and some add frequencies to the subliminal. The common thing about subliminal messages is that they have to be fast enough or quiet enough to remain undetected by the conscious mind.
The awesome part about these New Age manifestation methods is that they don’t require as much time, effort, or money to do. Whereas some folk spells require ingredients that are costly or not readily accessible, and that rituals involving circles and the Triangle of the Art can be time-consuming, these methods merely require a pen, paper, and your imagination. If you don’t have the time or money for magickal ritual, these methods of manifestation can be a good medium of magick.
Now that we near the end of my blog post, I hope you spotted the tips for using New Age thought to your benefit, other than the methods that I outlined.
One of them is the paragraph where I talked about ESP and the findings it revealed in the Russian scientists’ experiments. They found that energy can be concentrated and transmitted; this is something you must do in your spells. Rather than just doing the procedures, focus all your energy into the intention and then release it in the direction of your desire.
The other hidden nugget of wisdom is in the law of assumption. It states that you attract or manifest what you assume yourself to already have or be. Do this in your magick; cast every spell as if it is already complete. Visualize its fulfillment as you make the motions.
That said, if you’re an occultist that values traditional magick and shuns science, do not dismiss the New Age movement for its novelty, connection to science, and its mainstream influence. It is a valid current to learn from because it has its own results. And as magicians, we value results. Just because we are magicians doesn’t mean we have to go against every grain. There is a piece of wisdom that can be extracted from every path, so don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater.
The New Age movement, although it strays a bit from traditional magickal teachings, nevertheless has value in it. As a modern magician we are eclectic in our practice, taking what we learn from other paths and systems and using it for the development of our own practice. The New Age movement is rather youthful, not in its novelty, but in its optimism. It is not concerned with dogma; its main purpose is to help people live the most abundant, happy life that they can imagine. Perhaps this is why so many people from all backgrounds are attracted to the movement.

CNBC host Jim Cramer ranted and raged against young Americans struggling with financial hardships and financial literacy, saying that Gen Zers should spend less money on margaritas and their social lives, preferring that they focus on living a more frugal lifestyle to combat financial woes. Ana Kasparian and John Iadarola discuss on The Young Turks. Watch LIVE weekdays 6-8 pm ET. http://youtube.com/theyoungturks/live Read more HERE: https://www.cnbc.com/2022/06/22/jim-cramer-on-why-gen-z-has-no-excuse-for-not-investing-their-money.html "Jim Cramer, host of CNBC’s “Mad Money” and Investing Club, thinks that while Gen Z faces financial challenges, many of its members also spend too much money on stuff they don’t need. Nearly half of adults belonging to Generation Z — who are currently ages 18 to 24 — say they live paycheck to paycheck, according to a recent Deloitte survey. But Cramer thinks young adults can do a better job investing some of their money, even if it’s just a few dollars. “They seem like they have a lot of money, even when they don’t have a lot of money,” says Cramer. He has noticed that while young workers don’t usually have a lot of earning power, they still spend a significant portion of what they earn on discretionary purchases. “Younger people have to learn to be more frugal,” he tells CNBC Make It. In one example, Cramer says the younger customers at the New York restaurant he owns spend money “as if it grew on a tree.” He’s seen countless young professionals buying round after round of $14 margaritas after a workday, despite hearing their complaints about student loans, or not having enough money to put aside for retirement." *** The largest online progressive news show in the world. Billionaire Doomsday Prepping: What Is Zuckerberg Hiding?

It’s not often that construction workers sign NDAs.
But every worker on Mark Zuckerberg’s $270 million doomsday bunker on a Hawaiian island has been asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement and swear secrecy. As reported by Wired:
That price for a private residence is unparalleled in the local construction industry—as is the level of secrecy and security. “The only other time you see that is when you’re doing secure military installations,’ says one local construction industry official affiliated with the site. ‘For a private project to have an NDA attached to it is very rare.”
The massive compound might as well be a military installation: the plans call for accommodations for at least 30 people, with food production, water storage, blast doors, advanced security systems, and a medical facility.
Zuck isn’t alone in this frightening trend for 2024.
Zuck, who made his Big Tech billions by collecting data on the interactions of almost every human on planet Earth, is not the only billionaire to be building an apocalypse shelter.
Peter Thiel’s attempt to build a giant bunker in New Zealand was rejected by the locals in 2022 due to its potential impact on the landscape. While there has been no solid proof, rumors are swirling that upwards of 15 other billionaires have been building advanced survival compounds, according to dataconomy.com.
When billionaires prep for the end of the world, we should pay attention.
No matter what’s coming in 2024, the most important thing you can do is be prepared ahead of time with food, ammo, gold, and medication: That’s where The Wellness Company’s Medical Emergency Kits come in.
The Wellness Company and their great doctors – like Dr. Peter McCullough, Dr. Drew, Dr. Harvey Risch, and Dr. Jim Thorp – are regularly in the media fighting warning Americans to take charge of their own health and wellness.
Dr. Thorp, one of the nation’s leading critics of the U.S. public health policies, believes that now – more than ever – people should be prepared for the next crisis:
We can’t rely on our crumbling healthcare system to have our backs in an emergency. I’ve strongly recommended “stockpiling” critical medications for years – like the meds found in our Medical Emergency Kits. Early intervention is KEY at the first sign of symptoms. Taking an active approach by being prepared for the next illness has helped my family tremendously.
The Wellness Company and their doctors are medical professionals that you can trust and their new Medical Emergency Kits are the gold standard when it comes to keeping you safe and healthy.
Have Ivermectin, Amoxicillin, and Z-Pak on hand.
Be ready for the next crisis. This medical emergency kit contains an assortment of life-saving medications – including antibiotics, antivirals, and antiparasitics. The Medical Emergency Kit includes a guidebook to aid in the safe use of these life-saving medications.
This kit is prescription-only – you can’t find it in any store or pharmacy. Order your kit at The Wellness Company and simply fill out a short questionnaire after purchase and a trusted Wellness Company doctor will confirm your suitability and issue your prescription Medical Emergency Kit.
The Wellness Company Medical Emergency Kit includes:
