So my headcanon for the end of 21x02 because as much as I loved it and cherished it, I’ve also been watching NCIS since I was a kid, it was my first fandom and Tiva was my first ship, but I wanted more from it. So this is what my headcanon for the end of the episode looks like.
Yes we did get Tony and Palmer in the morgue and all three boys in the elevator. But what they didn’t show us was the bullpen at the same exact time, where Ziva was talking to Nick. Abby is there talking to Kasie, remember that layover in Heathrow, Abby met up with the DiNozzo fam. Tali and Victoria are doing something together. Gibbs, Jack and Fornell are going to meet everyone at the venue for Ducky’s celebration of life. And there’s a wreath of flowers that doesn’t have a tag, but nestled in the middle of the flowers is a very specific chess piece.
Ducky might not have had any blood relations left, but his family turned up for him, as they always will for each other.

They could have at least said his plane was delayed from Alaska and he was meeting them at the funeral. But instead we get a manila envelope, an old Polaroid and…Dinozzo.
Also, you’d think for a tribute episode to a man as distinguished as David McCallum, they would’ve not only put out an open call to anyone who had previously worked with him, but would’ve had requests from actors wanting to be a part of it. Or maybe I’m just overly optimistic when it comes to the Duckman.

I loved him in NCIS.
I watched one or two old episodes of NCIS nearly everyday. I adore Ducky. He is adorable in the show.
He was a heartthrob back in the day my grandma said years ago. My mum says it too.
My gran before she died made me watch stuff with him in it. Movies; A Night to Remember, The Great Escape. Then To Trap a Spy, The Spy Who Killed Me One Spy too Many, The Spy in the Green Hat + = which were Man from U.N.C.L.E. Films. Plus the tv show The Invisible Man and any NCIS he was in.
You lived a good long life, now it’s time to rest in the stars 🌠💫✨🌟⭐️😭

If Launchpad turned "evil" because of an invention, and captures Darkwing and Negaduck, these two would have a conversation like this and no one denies me ^^'
