Hey first off, GIRL YOUR WRITING IS GREAT AND I LOVE YOUR HEADCANONS, but anyways I wanted to request a gf headcanon Mihawk x black/mexican (I'm mixed) fem reader if that's okay. Please and thanks.
A/N: OH STAWP— ur too kind! And ofc :)❤️‍🔥 U didn’t specify sfw or nsfw so I’ll do both if that’s alright lol. Also alotta people been asking me to write for him so I gotchu. Enjoy!
Mihawk with a Mixed Girlfriend Headcanons (SFW/NSFW)
Tumblr media
SFW
…so I like HC him as Part Hispanic too…so let’s pretend he is.
He’s so romantic??? But it’s not like intentionally romantic I mean he’ll do such sweet gestures without thought towards you and it’s really sweet
He actually enjoys having a GF that is a bit more cheery. It livens him up and makes him feel young so he says💀
He is so passive aggressive towards other men he doesn’t respect that is around you that seem a bit too close for comfort
And don’t get me started if y’all encounter some racist mfs
He takes you along on his trips if he ever leaves but he always wants to make sure you can fight so he trains you every once in a while with his “smallest blade”
You get flustered a lot because he’s very HANDS ON
Will wrap his arm around yours, breathing down your neck and poor boy doesn’t realize you’re not even paying attention you’re just enjoying his warmth and minty breath
Btw…mf smells AMAZING idc who said what he smells like Dr. Bonners Peppermint soap w a hint of expensive cologne
If you can speak Spanish he loves hearing you speak it he’s very open to learn about whatever culture you embrace
He also encourages you to embrace it
Ngl hes very blunt so do expect him to act it around you.
“I don’t understand why you don’t want to wear the dress just because your rolls are showing? You still look stunning.”
Like he’ll sound rude af sometimes but he means no harm😭
He’s not really into PDA he likes to keep his hands in his lap or free when he needs to draw his sword out.
IT IS VERY HARD TO FLUSTER HIM. The most you’ll get is a small smirk but he’s a very deadpanned man
You swear you saw him blush once when showing him the dress he got you but he denies it with his whole heart
You have met Shanks while with Mihawk and though Shanks kept flirting with you Mihawk didn’t care because he trusted you
No you did not flirt back
One of his favorite things is to do with you is bathe you for some reason. He loves seeing you wrap your hair up in a bun or scarf and sometimes he will join you and he will sip wine while he cleans you up or do it while sitting on the edge of the tub.
He enjoys seeing you bully Buggy.
If you give him a gift he may seem like doesn’t care but he has every single gift you ever gave him in a trunk
You’ve seen his porn book collection and yes he has given you some books to read so you both can discuss it together
He does that thing where as you’re talking he will move your hair behind your ear so he can see your face
Or just like adjust any clothing on you whether it’s your bra strap showing or your shirt
He subconsciously kisses your knuckles when he holds your hand
He has caught you wearing his hat and impersonating him in the mirror and he scared the shit out of you when he spoke up but he found it cute
Speaking of him scaring you the mf might be bigger than you but he creeps on you a lot
Like just pops tf out of no where it’s so random
He is the type that enjoys your company a lot so sometimes you both will be in his room or somewhere quiet just doing your own thing. As long as You’re there he is okay.
He doesn’t speak his feelings and his communication skills aren’t the greatest. he’s very hard to read especially when he probably isn’t feeling well so you have to guess a lot and sometimes it can be straining
Mihawk however can read you like a book and sometimes have even assisted you before you even felt bad? It was like he had some kinda 6th sense.
He calls you “little one” a lot
Alotta Head pats too
NSFW
This is a touch starved man.
He has had only less than a handful of lustful nights with women before he met you but they didn’t mean anything and very forgetful.
However since you’re his woman he does want to learn what you like so sometimes while you both talk about the latest books you’ve read he’ll ask you what part of the sex did you like. If you’re willing to ignore his casual bluntness the conversation can last smoothly
“So, you enjoyed reading how the male character bent his lover over and—“
“Yup! Yes I liked that alot.”
He attempts it and aces it.
Mihawk is an exceptional lover he learns fast and always studies your reactions when he has sex with you
His libido is actually quite high, he is also very blunt about it
The moment Perona is out the room or he has finished training Zoro he greets you with a kiss on the forehead
“Y/N would you like to have sex tonight before bed?”
..that’s as good as you’re ganna get with his dirty talk.
His body is so smooth? Like mf silk or something you always catch yourself rubbing his body when under him
He makes absolutely no noise.
His face does gets hot and he’ll bite his lip slightly watching you bounce on top of him but that’s all you get
There was like a few occurrences where he moaned out your name but it was so low you thought you miss heard
He loves your legs and neck. ALOT
If it was up to him He will spend his entire life between your thighs he loves the taste of you.
He’s very slow and calculated with his tongue movements he usually test out different pace to see what your body reacts to and goes with that
Speaking of he’s more interested in how what your body says than you
You’ll scream for him to go faster but the way your legs are already twitching and shaking from his deep slow thrust he keeps his same pace
And you’re grateful for that because you cum like a whore every single time
He doesn’t get caught up with how you look. If you’re hairy, have scars, cellulite, whatever he doesn’t care if you’re comfortable then that’s all that matters
His kisses are always so passionate and you always want him to kiss you more but he doesn’t ever want to get caught doing so so you Gatta suffer a little bit
No worries though because you can be as touchy as you want with him when you both are in bed
There has been times he went through sex without cumming once and when you found out you felt horrible and that maybe you didn’t feel good to him, however he explained to you that you felt more than amazing it’s just he likes to focus on making you satisfied rather himself
Yeah no you didn’t take that lightly so one night you offered to suck him off and then ride him. He didn’t oppose but he still wanted to make sure your pleasure came into play
Don’t worry it did he fingered you as you sucked his cock it was a great time
Mihawk does have a bit of an obsession with heels. He loves seeing you wear them and if you ever decide to do so with no clothes on he may MAY feel like going feral
He doesn’t like when you cover your mouth he wants to HEAR you
If you’re up for it he’ll kiss and lick your toes up to your cunt and eat you like that. He’s done it once and it was so attractive because his gaze never left yours

It also sounds like, to *me*, that C is more than likely disabled or in chronic pain. They spend a lot on Dr. Bonner's, they spend money on hardy shoes and jackets, and they work an unfun physically demanding job for *peanuts* out of their car (it is not "basically a desk job"), which might be one of the only jobs that they could potentially hold down.
I'm of course, making quite a few guesses here, but. I'm rather familiar with Portland. $26k isn't a lot at all, you're right.
I checked the notes again and it looks like while the initial story MAY have had some truth to it the replies were bait, which is fine that's what I figured after the whole excess frowny faces/12 cats/ seasonal rotating polycule comments and it turning out that there's no habit burger in Oregon, but yeah, if it's at all true they're 100% the asshole, and if it's rage bait then goddamn did it work lmao.
(Still, I def knew people EXACTLY like that in Flagstaff, I blocked an old roommate for saying there's no excuse for a disabled person needing a plastic straw bcs they're bad for the environment and if they "really can't pick up a cup they obviously should have someone with them 24/7 who can do it for them" despite how unbelievably wrong that is on evey level, and I can't even tell you how many times I've been told to "just try yoga", like that person may have been joking but yeesh am I sad to say people just like that absolutely exist.)

Bonner General Health, the only hospital in Sandpoint, announced Friday that it will no longer provide obstetrical services to the city of more than 9,000 people, meaning patients will have to drive 46 miles for labor and delivery care.
The hospital’s board of directors and senior leadership called the decision emotional and difficult, and cited a loss of pediatricians, changing demographics and Idaho’s legal and political climate around health care as the reasons.
[...]
The release also said highly respected, talented physicians are leaving the state, and recruiting replacements will be “extraordinarily difficult.”
Idaho has one of the most restrictive abortion bans in the country, with affirmative defenses in court only for documented instances of rape, incest or to save the pregnant person’s life. Physicians are subject to felony charges and the revocation of their medical licenses for violating the statute, which the Idaho Supreme Court in January determined is constitutional.
“The Idaho Legislature continues to introduce and pass bills that criminalize physicians for medical care nationally recognized as the standard of care,” the hospital’s news release said. “Consequences for Idaho physicians providing the standard of care may include civil litigation and criminal prosecution, leading to jail time or fines.”
Dr. Amelia Huntsberger, an obstetrician-gynecologist at Bonner General Health, said in an email to States Newsroom, a national nonprofit whose newsrooms include the Idaho Capital Sun in Boise, that she will soon leave the hospital and the state because of the abortion laws and the Legislature’s decision not to continue the state’s maternal mortality review committee.

Hello all, I hope you’re all having a fabulous Wednesday. It’s a beautiful day here in NC and it’s put in a fabulous mood! I got a delivery today that brightened my mood even more. I got my eco new friendly toiletries. Starting with David’s toothpaste, it is fluoride free and comes in a sustainably packaged, recyclable metal tube and it comes with what I call a rolling pin to ensure you get as much out of it as possible. Next is Dr. Bonners all in one soap. This can be used to wash your body, your face and even your hair. It is biodegradable as well as vegan which is an added plus for me. These are little changes but the little changes add up.

Last three days hiking in New Jersey have been much better with regards to rocks. After about 30 mi in Jersey, they cleared up significantly. Averaging just around 15 miles/day those days but today had a lot of uphill. Saw my first bear today, see photos. We had three bears come into the shelter area the night prior but several guys yelled and scared them off. Stacy and Carla had to wait 20 minutes for a bear that was eating in the trail. We are stealth camping tonight and are just about a mile from the New York border. I think my trail hunger is going pretty well and we supplemented with some pizza when we stopped in Unionville New York for resupply. It was either really good pizza or I'm just that hungry. I usually do a camp bath each night with Dr. Bonner soap which is pretty effective with little water needed. Tonight we camped by a stream which was about 18 in deep and relatively warm. So I got in and got a complete submersion bath. Didn't use any of the biodegradable soap because this is the water we also drink. It's rather amazing that the diversity of people using out here long distance hiking. There are a number of people, my age and a number of couples that age. I really run the spectrum of age, race and gender. Well it's almost 9:00 p.m., very late out here on the trail. Guess I'll sign off for now. Happy trails!

‘What America is’: Sports world reacts to Capitol attack, historic week
Paul Doyle
CT Insider
Jan. 9, 2021
For many of the women in the WNBA, it was a dizzying 48 hours.
On Tuesday, Democrat Raphael Warnock defeated incumbent Republican Kelly Loeffler in Georgia’s U.S. Senate runoff. Players visibly and vocally supported Warnock over the conservative Loeffler, co-owner of the Atlanta Dream.
But the sense of accomplishment was tempered the next day, when a mob of Donald Trump loyalists stormed the U.S. Capitol building. At least one brandished a confederate flag.
“One breath, you want to celebrate … But then you can’t,” said Connecticut Sun veteran DeWanna Bonner. “What happened in Washington DC and all the killings (of Black Americans) ... My head is kind of all over the place.”
Bonner, a Black woman from Alabama, saw race at the center of the Capitol events. She’s not alone.
The visuals of a mostly white crowd overwhelming police to storm the legislative building contrasted with images of Black Lives Matter protesters greeted with armed forced. Activists have noted a double standard in how the groups were treated by security.
The reaction from the sports world?
“We live in two Americas,” LeBron James said.
Philadelphia 76ers coach Doc Rivers said, “Could you imagine today, if those were all Black people storming the Capitol, and what would have happened?”
The sentiments are echoed throughout Connecticut, too — from high school coaches to college athletes to the professional basketball players at Mohegan Sun.
WNBA LEADING TO CHANGE
The WNBA has long been at the front of social causes, but the league’s players raised their activism to another level while competing in the Bradenton, Fla. bubble last summer. Players spoke out after the killings of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd, standing firmly behind the Black Lives Matter movement.
Loeffler, Atlanta’s co-owner since 2011, is a strong Trump supporter. In July, she expressed concern with the league’s support of BLM in a letter to league commissioner Cathy Engelbert.
The response from the players? They began wearing “Vote Warnock” shirts at games and raised money for his campaign. Players across the league donned the shirts and Warnock’s poll numbers steadily climbed.
Warnock wound up prevailing in a runoff, which helped tip the power in the Senate as Democrat Jon Ossoff defeated incumbent Republican David Perdue in Georgia’s other runoff.
“It was such a happy moment for him and for our league, as well,” Bonner said. “We did a great job of speaking out when we heard about what was going on in the race. We knew immediately who we wanted to support. Everybody wore those shirts on game days — there were some big games that week and we wanted to make sure that people saw us.
“We stand by what we believe in and it showed the powerful impact that we can make.”
Players celebrated the victory on social media. UConn’s Renee Montgomery, who played with Atlanta but opted out of the 2020 season as she focused on social justice reform, tweeted: “In 2019, I didn’t know what to call @ReverendWarnock because he was a Dr and a Pastor. Now I gotta add Senator to the list. Congrats to Dr Pastor Senator Warnock!”
James tweeted, “Think I’m gone put together an ownership group for the The Dream. Whose in?” and Montgomery responded, “I’m ready when you are.”
And it’s worth noting that James’ tweet received a long list of responses, including an emphatic “In” from former tennis great and Fairfield product James Blake. Meanwhile, Montgomery told TMZ she’s serious about an ownership bid — although there is no indication Loeffler is selling.
The WNBA is being cited for its impact on the election, but the support for Warnock — and rejection of Loeffler — is just another example of the league’s players using their platform. Independent of the Georgia race, players were leading the sports world in speaking out about racial injustice last year.
“Just more recognition for the work that they’re doing,” said Connecticut Sun vice president Amber Cox, who has worked in the league for 13 years. “If you think back to the Pride platform and the support of the LGBTQ community, the WNBA was really the first to do that. It’s been happening. But the result of being in a bubble situation where you had all the players together, allowed them to come together and it was obviously just a defining moment in our history … all things kind of culminated.
“These women are so courageous and smart and, obviously, strategic the way they go about things. It’s been wonderful to see them get the recognition for all the work that they have been doing.”
New Haven native Bria Holmes said the season was dedicated to making voices heard.
“And clearly they were heard,” she said. “Just voicing our opinion on things that haven’t been going well, I think it opened people’s eyes to a lot of things. … Women are a huge part of the world. With our voices, we can do a lot. It’s not just the men. We can continue to do great things.”
Said Bonner, “People are listening. Women’s basketball has an opportunity to be at the forefront of sports. … Last summer, we spoke up and spoke out about our true feelings. We’re outspoken. We don’t hold our tongues for anything. People are learning more about us as women, about our culture, and what we believe in, and that we’re more than just basketball players.”
Yet Bonner, an 11-year veteran, said she was shook by what she witnessed Wednesday. The joy of Warnock’s victory quickly evaporated.
“It’s a scary time,” she said. “It’s kind of like, let me make sure my family is home and safe because you never know what can happen right now. It’s just such a sad time for us, especially for Blacks in this world right now.”
Holmes said she was at a loss for words to describe how she felt Wednesday. But she does believe the “outcome would’ve been totally different” had a majority of the protesters been Black.
‘PUSHING FOR UNITY’
UConn freshman Paige Bueckers figures to have a future in the WNBA, yet she has already used her voice — she marched in her home state of Minnesota after Floyd’s death.
Asked Friday about the WNBA and the state of the country, Bueckers said she is impressed that the league and the players use their platform to spread their message.
“Everything that they do, they’re trying to make this world a better and more equal place,” Bueckers said. “That’s what we need right now — equality and justice, equal treatment for everybody regarding race. It’s just sad to see the inequalities in the world.
“If we just treated each other how we wanted to be treated, it would be a much better place. It’s just sad to see the stuff that’s going on in the world, the hate and the division that we have. The WNBA is just pushing for unity and togetherness. I just think that’s really big and what the world needs right now.”
Buecker is white, but her younger brother Drew is Black and she spoke over the summer about their conversations pertaining to his race.
“I’m scared for him,” she said over the summer. “I’m scared for myself because that’s my little brother. He’s my best friend, really. I’m really close to him. Having that fear, that one wrong judgment and his life could be on the line, it’s super scary and it’s something I want to help change.”
UConn junior Christyn Williams, another player with WNBA aspirations, expressed her support for Black Lives Matter on her social media accounts last summer.
“I’m definitely excited to be a part of the WNBA one day because they represent something bigger than themselves,” she said. “We’re people too. They show that as an example every time something happens or just in general. I think they’re doing a great job with that.”
CONNECTICUT REACTION
The events at the Capitol were jarring for athletes and coaches across the state.
Wilbur Cross basketball coach Kevin Walton conducts a weekly Zoom call with his players, his opportunity to check on his team while the season remains paused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Wednesday night, Walton asked his players about the events that unfolded at the Capitol.
“One of the players said one of the differences (from the Black Lives Matter protests) was they were treated differently because they were white, but he was reluctant to say it at first,” Walton said. “I told him you can always say what you feel. We want the kids to formulate their own opinions.”
Walton, a community activist who participated in protests after the killing of Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer in May, said he was “appalled” by the way Capitol police and law enforcement reacted to the mob that stormed the legislative building.
“It sends a message that they didn’t take these white nationalists and terrorists to be as scary or as threatening as the Black Lives Matter protests,” Walton said.
Hillhouse football coach Reggie Lytle, who stayed up until 4 a.m. Thursday watching news coverage of the events, retired in 2013 as a lieutenant after a 25-year career in the state Department of Corrections.
Like Walton, he was stunned by the lack of security at the Capitol. Lytle contrasted what took place Wednesday with his own experience at the Million Man March on the National Mall in 1995. He estimates there were thousands of law enforcement at the march, “and you turn on the TV (Wednesday) and see only 500 Capitol Police?”
Lytle also said he felt “real sick” upon learning that a Capitol police officer was killed in the incident. He experienced riots during his time in the corrections department.
“To lose an officer to a beat down makes me feel I didn’t do my job,” he said. “It angers me even more to learn the President of the United States provoked this action. This invokes hate and invokes retaliation. I am old enough to know to fall to my knees and pray. This is what (Colin) Kapernick was doing.”
Lytle said he encountered racism as a member of Hillhouse’s 1985 state championship team and he sees his players faced with the same now. “Not much has changed,” he said.
His view of what happened at the Capitol?
“I’m not surprised at all,” Lytle said. “Especially since they announced they were going to do it. We have a saying: There it goes again. When we say that, in our community, we all know what that means. It’s white privilege. There’s no other way to look at it. White privilege.
“…My kids know. They could simply stand on the corner waiting for their girlfriend, and then the cops roll up and they get grilled. Meanwhile, you have people going to the Capitol and nobody’s stopping them.”
Walton, too, was not surprised.
“When President-elect (Joe) Biden comes on and says, ‘This isn’t America’ … this is exactly what America is,” Walton said. “Storming the Capitol building, acting in a violent manner, that is exactly who we are. … What bothered me the most is the people acting out were every-day people. There weren’t any billionaires out there (Wednesday). Those were people waiting for their stimulus checks, people who need Obamacare.”
This discussions between players and coaches unfolded at all levels last week.
At Quinnipiac, men’s basketball coach Baker Dunleavy said his team talked about the insurrection on Thursday.
“I think in general young people are very socially aware,” Dunleavy said. “They’re educated. They pay attention. They read. They’ve got social media at their fingertips. The players shared some of their individual thoughts and opinions.
“When we look at that day in our history, we’ll look back on a very dark day, an unfortunate and really embarrassing day in our country. We talked a little bit that there are some people out there who are similar to those we saw on camera and feel the way they feel. For a lot of people, it’s convenient for them to pretend that doesn’t exist. We have less ability to look the other way, that that sentiment isn’t something that existed just back in the 1960s.”

The University of Cologne has many ties to partner universities, institutions as well as to scientists and students in Israel and in the Middle East. In view of the terror attacks in Israel on 7 October and the string of events that have resulted, we view a possible further escalation of the conflict with great concern. Our thoughts are with our partners, their family members and friends in Israel, a country towards which we bear a particular historical responsibility and with which we enjoy a unique relationship. Furthermore, we are concerned about peace in the entire region.
The terror attacks against Israel and their repercussions have not left the members of the University of Cologne unscathed. In this context, we expect political discussions to continue to be conducted openly and respectfully on our campus. We would like to ask all students and colleagues to especially be sensitive to those who need support and help in this situation, and if necessary to contribute to de-escalating the situation. The Rectorate and the Senate have pledged further dialogue in relation to current and future developments in Israel and the Middle East.
