Tumblr media
Draco Malfoy had fallen for you, absolutely and totally head over heels. It didn’t matter what house you were in and it didn’t seem to matter that you were Harry Potter’s sister. None of it mattered. What mattered is that you felt the same way and so, your secret love affair with Draco began.
You were currently walking down the halls of Hogwarts, books close to your chest and tears threatening to spill down your cheeks. You weren’t looking ahead as you walked, instead you were staring at the floor barely manoeuvring through the sea of students. When Draco saw you, his eyes lit up, but he was with his friends. Despite this, he knew he needed to interact with you in some way. “Potter,” he sneered. You ignored him, not up for playing games right now. You shoved past him which left him almost speechless. “Hey, Potter. I’m talking to you,” he called out to you, but you continued walking. Draco saw you wipe your eyes and immediately his heart clenched: you were upset. All thoughts of his image went out of the window as he raced up to you, grabbing your arm and turning you around to face him. “Y/N… What’s wrong?” Draco’s voice held a large amount of care and concern as he spoke to you now. You looked up at him, tears brimming in your lower lash line and just shook your head. “Talk to me.”
“He… He tried to kiss me!” You said quickly, finally allowing the tears to fall from your eyes.
“Who?” Draco asked, his eyes narrowing with fury. “Who tried to kiss you?”
“McLaggen,” you hiccuped. “He cornered me against the wall and tried to kiss me.”
“I’ll kill him,” Draco growled, eyes darting around the room to see if he could see the man in question.
“Draco don’t,” you said quickly.
“Nobody touches my girl and gets away with it,” he snapped, his hands flying to your face to cup your cheeks. “I’ll make him regret ever looking at you.”
You started into his eyes, seeing the pure anger in them. He was serious, deadly serious. “Don’t get yourself into any trouble,” you whispered.
“You’re worth getting into trouble for,” Draco smiled softly, his thumb stroking your cheek gently and wiping the tears that fell from your eyes.
“You mean that?” You asked hopefully.
“Of course I mean that.”
You leaned into Draco’s touch not realising that you had amassed a large number of students watching the tender moment between the two of you, including Draco’s friends. They were confused to say the least. Draco leaned in and pressed a tender kiss to your lips, smiling as he did. He didn’t seem to care that others were watching, he just wanted to make sure that you were okay. You kissed him back eagerly, enjoying the feeling of his soft lips on yours. When he pulled away he chuckled slightly. “What are you laughing at?” You asked quizzically.
“You taste salty,” was all he replied. His hands were still cupping your cheeks. “Seriously though,” Draco said, his tone turning sincere once more. “Nobody, and I mean nobody, touches you and gets away with it.”
“I love you Draco Malfoy,” you whispered, pressing your forehead against his.
“I love you too, Y/N Potter.”

"I can't believe you are being serious right now!", you scream at Draco, physically retreating from him as you take a few steps back in your anger, anger about what he just told you. The atmosphere in his big dark bedroom in Malfoy Manor doesn't help the cold that is now surrounding you, neither does your light sleeping gown that you put on mere minutes ago to finally get some well deserved sleep. That is until you got into this stupid argument.
Your whole body trembles and you desperartely run your fingers through your hair, waiting for him to tell you that it was just a joke, that none of it is real.
"I knew you wouldn't understand", is the only thing that leaves Draco's mouth and if you had been a few more meters away, you would have probably missed his murmur. But you caught every word he said and it makes you even more furious.
"Oh, so you didn't even think about telling me that you want to take your father's place among the Dark Lord's entourage? The one of your father who is currently, if I may remind you, trapped in Azkaban?!", you say while fully realizing the impact of these words. Draco really wants to become a Death Eater and follow Voldemort as his faithful footman until he decides one day that he does not need him anymore either and puts him into the same prison his father is currently residing.
"See? That's why I preferred not to tell you because I knew you would react like this", Draco only sighs at your emotional outburst, rubbing his palms against each other as he looks at the dark wooden floor beneath your feet.
"So you now support the Dark Lord? Is that it?", you ask, now directly looking at him in utter disbelieve, ignoring his previous words. In your opinion, this is the only reasonable reaction when you are told your loved one wants to basically throw his life, and everything he has accomplished, away. And you are a huge part of that life which he would discard. Just like that.
"Y/N, you are missing my point!", Draco raises his voice now too, no longer being able to withstand the hurtful words you are throwing his way. "I need to do this, alright? It is none of your business anyway."
"N-None of my business?!", you stumble over your words, not believing your ears but one look at his face tells you that he is being deadly serious. For a moment, you hold in your breath and stare at him, looking into his eyes that seem to have darkened now.
"You know what? Alright, if it is your business and you want to follow in your father's steps, then I'm not needed here anymore", you say with a fake smile on your lips, passing him without looking at him again and leaving the room with fast steps. You do not listen when he calls after you, because if he really wanted to solve this, he would follow you. The fact that he does not, sends another dagger through your already suffering heart.
Standing in one of the cold hallways of Malfoy Manor, watched by the few family pictures that hang along the walls, you make your way to the next guest room where you plan on spending the night before being able to leave first thing in the morning.
You open the creaking door and enter the room, taking a look at the large bed with dark green bedding. Sighing, you let yourself fall onto the soft blanket in defeat and look at the panaled high ceiling.
The next moment, all the emotions come crushing down on you and you let your tears run free, crying into the soft bedsheets, grapping a fistful of it in your hand. You don't know how long you just lie there and cry bitterly, but when you suddenly jolt out of your sleep, drenched in sweat, it takes you a few seconds to realize where you are. The realization hits you painfully as you lean against the headboard, knees pulled towards your chest beneath the thick blanket and your hands trembling, pulling the safety of the fabric more towards you.
You thought you had already cried out all of your tears, but this terrible nightmare paralyzed your entire body and the tears streaming down your already puffed cheeks do not seem to stop. Trembling, you lower your forehead onto your knees, closing your eyes to dispose of those bad images, but they keep appearing in front of you. Crying into the blanket even harder, your mind comes up with the only plausible solution and before you know it, you find yourself standing in front of Draco's bedroom again, slowly opening the door.
With only your head poking in at first, you squint into the darkness, searching for any indications if Draco is asleep or not. When you only hear his soft breathing, you sneak towards your side of the bed and climb beneath the cold blanket as quiet as possible, trying to sniffle your tears.
Draco, however, senses that something is wrong and shifts in his sleep, turning onto his back. His hand slightly grazes yours and your breath gets stuck in your throat at the sensation. It only takes two more seconds until Draco opens his eyes, suddenly aware of the warm trembling body next to him.
Pushing onto his arms, he looks at you, confused, but once he hears your sobs, he takes you into his arms without any words, enveloping you in his warmth. Burrying your face in the crook of his neck, your crying grows even worse and you claw his shirt as if he could disappear any second.
"I-I was so scared, D-Draco", you stutter once you have caught your breath a bit more, holding your hands in front of your mouth to stop yourself from breaking down again. "Y-You were a Death Eater and they- they took you from me. H-He killed you, Draco."
Draco, who was busy wiping away your tears while listening, stops in his movement, his lips slightly parted in shock. In this moment, he hated himself for making you cry like this, for causing you such a horrible nightmare that you ended up thinking that you had lost him.
"He won't, Y/N. I promise", Draco whispers finally, not at all sure what he is supposed to say right now. On the one hand, he wants to make everything right again, but on the other hand he knows that he has responsibilites that he can't run away from.
"You can't promise me that", you sob, wiping away your tears by yourself now, your hands still a shaking mess.
"I'm so sorry, darling, but I have to follow him", he answers, his voice shaking as he softly takes your hands in his. "Otherwise he is going to kill me. But what is worse is that he is going to kill my family. He is going to kill you if I don't obey."
As he says these words and lets down his walls, you see a single tear running down his cheek, finding its way onto your intertwined hands below.
"We- We will find a way, baby", you try to assure him, squeezing his hand lightly. "You don't have to do this. We just need to fight. For us. For your family. For you."
"I will."

"Dang it, Draco. We've known each other for more than half of our lives already, and you still can't fully open up to me?" Y/N exclaimed at him.
Draco and Y/N were currently hidden in one of the more unknown hallways of the enormous black castle, their loud voices echoing against the walls of the stone walls. They have never fought like this before, which was scary for Y/N. She wasn’t sure how to react to the situation—to him.
"It's not that easy, alright? Things have changed about me—about us. It's different compared to 10 years ago," Draco exclaimed back.
She paused for a while, pondering about what he had said. The words lingered in her head as she questioned her thoughts. Things have changed... they weren't as innocent as they once were. Not as playful, bliss, or clueless in life's mysteries. They had matured—grown up. But how does that explain his hesitance in trusting her?
There was a moment of absolute silence. Deep in her own thoughts, Y/N inhaled deeply, breaking the tension. "Please, Draco... You know you could always tell me anything," she confessed sincerely.
"No, not this time. You wouldn't understand," he argued, his eyes trailing to the floor, unable to maintain eye contact with her.
"Draco..." she called out to him again.
"No, Y/N, I can't do that to you," he insisted, not taking his eyes off the floor. She couldn't know... he just couldn't bear to burden her or to see her reaction. It would only ruin their friendship.
And then, she blurt it out.
"I-I love you, okay? Please, talk to me," she confesses, her voice now starting to break.
Taken aback, Draco’s eyes immediately shot up towards hers. "No no no- you can't love me. I'm a horrible, horrible person.”
"Draco, that's not true," she said, taking a step towards him.
"Oh, but it is." And that was when he pulled his sleeve up, revealing his dark mark engraved on his arm.
Y/N gasped softly, putting her hands over her mouth. She finally let the tears she had been holding back stream down her cheeks. Of course, it all made sense now—Harry’s suspicion was right. All the missing pieces to the puzzle had been found and completed. After all this time, under all the lies and cover ups, Draco was still under the control of the vile expectations from his parents. And the fact that he was dealing with it all alone… he felt the need to hide it from her.
With no hesitation, she immediately rushed towards the blond and wrapped him in a warm embrace. “I’m so sorry, Draco… I had no idea.”
He glared at her carefully, standing perfectly still. Out of all the scenarios he had played out through his head, Y/N hugging him and apologizing was certainly not one of them.
"I still love you, you know?" she whispered softly against his chest.
"You really shouldn't though. But if it means anything, I love you too," he said, hugging her back.
They both smiled in each other's arms. They were never exactly the physical type, but this one, simple yet everlasting hug held a lot of significance. Maybe it wasn’t too late to fix things between them.
As Y/N entered the Gryffindor Common Room, she spotted Harry, Ron, and Hermione waiting for her with worry on their faces.
“Where have you been? We were worried as hell,” Ron complained, his ginger eyebrows creasing in distress.
"Sorry guys, but I was with Draco," Y/N informed them truthfully.
"Wait, why?" Hermione questioned, slightly surprised. To be fair, at this point, if Y/N wasn’t with the Golden Trio, she was probably with Draco.
"We had some problems, so I went up to him to ask why," she explained to them.
"Well, what did he say?" asked Harry in curiosity.
"He said that he had changed, and I kept asking him but he didn't tell me. So then, I told him that I love him and he-" Y/N was cut off.
"You told him that you loved him? Bloody hell, Y/N, I never knew that you loved him." said Ron, giving her a certain look. His eyebrows practically wiggled at her, a playful smirk now plastered on his face.
Y/N noticed his odd expressions and gestures, shaking her head in disagreement. “What? Noo, I didn't mean I love him in a romantic way. I meant in a friendly way,” Y/N reassured them.
They all glared at her with confuddled expressions written all over their faces.
"Well, what was his response?" asked Harry.
Y/N hesitated for a while, knowing how they would react. "He finally told me why he was acting differently, and he told me that he loved me back," she mumbled, looking down.
"He what?" repeated Ron, almost seeming to smile.
"But, it's in a friendly way," Y/N repeated.
"But—this is Malfoy we're talking about. What if he got the wrong idea? And what if he loves you but—in a different way," said Hermione, looking at her.
Y/N reflected on Hermione’s comment, taking it into account. The worst part was that the possibility of her statement being true wasn’t far off. Knowing Draco, he could have misinterpreted the meaning of her words and his response might have just been a spur of the moment thing.
She shook her absurd trail of thoughts, finally responding to Hermione. "No, of course not. Besides, he's with Pansy," Y/N replied, a hint of disappointment evident in her voice.

birthdays and cakes
Tumblr media
pairing: draco malfoy x reader
summary: you don't usually celebrate your birthday, so your friends try to make it your best birthday ever (fluff, slightest angst)
warnings: mentions of busy parents
notes: takes place during fifth year, no established relationship, might make a part 2?
6:02 pm
“Finally, in a few hours, our lovely Y/N will be 16!” Pansy clapped her hands together in delight, excited for your birthday.
“Oh Pansy, it's not that serious.” You shrug while picking at your food.
You were a transfer student from Drumstrang, so this was indeed the first birthday you would spend at Hogwarts.
The moment you were placed into Slytherin, Draco approached you and befriended you into his group of friends. Ever since, you have grown closer with all of them.
Mattheo puts his fork down, “But Y/N, this is your first time celebrating your birthday with us!”
“He’s right,” Theodore started, “we should stay up till midnight since we don't have class tomorrow anyway.”
You looked up at your friends, knowing they wanted to cheer you up.
It was this morning when you received your monthly letter from your parents. They wrote that you should study harder to keep up your—currently perfect—grades, along with how they were going on another business trip to America.
They wrote about everything but your birthday.
This was nothing new, after all, they were always busy during your previous birthdays.
Blaise joined in, “If it makes you feel any better, we all had our gifts bought last month because someone,” he looked over at Pansy, “wanted to start gift shopping early.”
You turned to Pansy who simply grinned, “Oh, come on, you didn't have to spoil the surprise, Blaise!”
Pansy playfully slapped Blaise’s shoulder while you, Mattheo, and Theodore laughed.
The laughter died down and you spoke, “By the way, where's Draco?”
Draco Malfoy, your best friend. You would consider him the closest person to you in all of Hogwarts.
You haven't seen the blond a lot this week, mostly during classes. After classes ended, instead of him hanging out with you, he would leave the common room and not come back all night.
Two days ago, he returned late at night to the common room, passing by your group of friends while his dark robes were covered in some white powder. You asked what was wrong as he bee-lined towards the stairs, but he muttered something with a frustrated face; you haven't had a chance to talk to him since.
All the talk about your birthday made you start to feel excited, but you wanted Draco to be around too. But seeing how he has been the past week, you were starting to doubt he remembered your birthday.
You were too busy in thought to see the four of your friends sending eye signals to each other, each of them caught off-guard to give you an excuse.
Unlike Blaise exposing everyone’s early gift preparation, this was something that needed to be covered up.
Theodore cleared his throat first, “I think he's practicing more Quidditch. You know, since the season is starting soon.”
Mattheo added on, his food long forgotten, “You know how serious he is with beating every house, especially Gryffindor.”
“Oh,” you nodded your head “that reminds me, I'll see my first Hogwarts Quidditch match soon!” Your mood was suddenly lifted, thinking back to your old school’s Quidditch games. You always loved Quidditch and attended every game since you were a first-year at Drumstrang.
The moment you started to ramble to your friends about your favorite sport, you didn't hear the sighs of relief at your table.
11:50 pm
Pansy and Blaise were walking with you back to the common room. You just spent a few hours stargazing with them by the Black Lake.
Mattheo and Theodore said something about having to practice Quidditch with Draco too, which you didn't want to hold them back for. They made sure to tell you that they would meet the three of you back before midnight before they hurried off.
“We’re going to the Three Broomsticks tomorrow?”
“Of course, we’re going to have a birthday dinner. We always celebrate our birthdays there.”
You smiled, grateful to have wonderful friends. “It's not even my birthday yet, but thank you both for preparing so much. You guys know already, but I didn't celebrate my birthday during my childhood.”
Pansy and Blaise look at you with sadness, knowing about your life with your busy parents. It was a post-party hangout at Draco’s dorm when you opened up to all of them, partially because you were drunk, but also because you knew you could trust all five of them.
“Y/N, we’re your family too. We will always celebrate your day with you, so don't think too much about your parents.” You smiled at Blaise, grateful for his words.
The three of you finally reached the Slytherin common room. Although it was late, there were many students sprawled out of the room, hanging out with each other.
“Should we go check up on Draco?” Pansy asked, staring at her watch.
“Wouldn’t he be asleep?” You asked confused.
You assumed that since he was busy with Quidditch, he forgot about your birthday. The thought of him forgetting your birthday made you grow a bit sad, but you didn't want to make it a big deal.
Blaise started walking to the stairs, “He doesn't sleep early, come on.”
Pansy followed quickly behind Blaise, leaving you a little confused.
“Y/N!” Pansy yelled from the top of the stairs, “Let’s go!”
You grew confused but followed after your friends, walking up the stairs to Draco’s room.
“Pansy? Blaise? Where did you guys go?” You reached the top and did not see your friends.
You approached Draco’s dorm, knocking on the door.
“Draco? Are you in here?” You pushed the knob, stepping inside the dark room. You took two steps before there was a loud sound next to you, like something popping.
12:00am
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY Y/N!”
The lights turned on and you looked around, Draco’s dorm decorated for your birthday. Green balloon letters were written ‘HAPPY 16TH BIRTHDAY’ and confetti was thrown all over the floor. There was also a stash of gifts in the corner of his room, definitely the one Pansy made them buy in advance.
You were immediately hugged by Pansy, “It’s midnight! The start of your big day!”
Blaise, Theodore, and Mattheo chuckled before all saying happy birthday to you.
You had never smiled so hard, feeling so grateful for all of your friends.
“What happened to Quidditch practice today?” You ask Theodore and Mattheo, assuming they must have decorated Draco’s room. However, it may have been the messy arrangement of the balloon letters that gave it away.
Mattheo looked at you with wide eyes, “That was a lie. Sorry, we tried to have you distracted to prepare this.”
You let out a laugh, “It’s okay, wait a minute, then what about Draco’s practices?”
The group felt silent, not before looking behind you at the currently opened door “If your practices were a lie, then was Draco’s-”
“Happy Birthday, Y/N” A voice interrupted your own.
You turned your body to the door, and a smiling Draco entered the room. Looking at his hands, he held a green cake with a single lit candle on top. It spelled out ‘Happy Birthday Y/N’ in frosting.
“Draco? What is this?”
“Well, snake's out of the bag,” Draco said standing in front of you.
Pansy went to stand beside you first, “But before, let’s sing first!”
The others agreed and started to sing you a happy birthday, Mattheo’s off-pitch voice making you laugh the whole time. When they finished you smiled, closing your eyes to make to make a wish before blowing out the candle.
“Yay!” Mattheo screamed excitedly, jumping up and down.
“Let’s go down to the common room to eat!” Theodore suggested, leaving the room to race Mattheo.
The rest of you four laughed, following them quickly.
“So,” you started, “did Draco have practice this week?” You sat down on the couch as your friends surrounded you.
Draco grinned, “You’ve caught me. I made your cake myself.” Your eyes widened in surprise as he put the cake down for Pansy to cut it.
“You thought Pansy reminding us a month in advance to buy gifts was insane? Draco spent the entire week learning how to bake a cake for your birthday.”
Draco took a seat next to you on the couch, hiding behind you as Blaise and Mattheo teased him further.
“Is that true?” You asked Draco, who shrugged his shoulders as if it was nothing.
“Have the first slice, Y/N” Pansy passed you a slice on a plate that she somehow prepared while you were too shocked.
“Come on, tell us if it’s bad!” Mattheo said from the couch across from you, earning a smack in the head from Blaise.
You took a bite and it seemed like the cake was baked by a professional. You savored the taste and smiled, “It's delicious!”
That was all it took for Mattheo and Theodore to beg Pansy for slices, while Blaise was busy helping her cut the cake.
“Thank you, Draco, I didn't know.” He put his arm around your shoulder, leaning closer to you.
“I’m happy you love it, and that the cake didn't taste bad.” You laughed as you kept eating the cake.
“Y/N,” Blaise said, all your friends now settled down with cake slices except Draco, “You don’t understand. Not only did he learn how to bake that cake, he asked all of us to taste test it each time..”
A realization hit your eyes, “Is that why you were all sick a few days ago? It was his previous cakes?”
All your friends laughed as Draco hid his face in your neck embarrassed.
“At least it tastes wonderful now.” Mattheo munched on his cake slice with a smile, “Draco, you need to bake all of us birthday cakes now.”
Draco shook his head, before looking at you.
“Only for Y/N’s birthdays.”

“Please don’t tell me you got back together with him!” Ginny groaned. She sat on the edge of your bed as Hermione braided your hair for the night.
“No, I didn’t get back with him. I told him if he really wanted to prove it to me, then he could.”
“So you’re thinking of getting back with him.” She said disapprovingly. Hermione chuckled from her seat in the bed behind you. She was working on doing dutch braids in your hair.
“I think it’s fine, Gin,” Hermione said. “It’s not as if she’s going to jump back in bed with him.”
You waggled your eyebrows teasingly to Ginny. She gasped and swatted your shoulder. “That’s so not funny, (Y/N/N). Just because you think he’s sexy doesn’t mean you should get back with him.”
Theodore broke up with you very unexpectedly. He barely even had a reason for breaking up with you, which left you heartbroken and devastated. You were in bed for a few days, had a good cry, and then you were back.
Theo had tried to mend the broken bond between your relationship, but you just couldn’t bring yourself to take him back that easily. Your ego was high, and you knew you would be kicking yourself if something like that happened again right when you took him back.
“Don’t worry, Ginny. If he really wants me back, he’s gonna have to work for it. He knows that.”
“Alright,” Hermione said as she tied off the end of your hair. “All finished. Your hair’s gonna look so good tomorrow.”
“Theo better be drooling when you see him,” Ginny said, “if not, I’ll give him a different reason to drool.” She made a motion of punching her fists together, insinuating she would punch him in the mouth.
You chuckled. “Hopefully there won’t be any blood drawn. I don’t think he’d really wanna go through all the trouble if it just got him a busted lip.”
“Oh no,” Ginny grinned, “it would be more than just a busted lip. I’ve got five brothers, I’m known to throw a mean punch or two.”
“Lights out girls!” The prefect yelled as she knocked on your bedroom door.
Ginny rolled her eyes. “Alright, I’ll see you guys at breakfast. But for real, if Theo tries anything you know I’m right there for you.”
You smiled, grateful to have a friend as awesome as her. “Yeah, Gin, I know. Thank you.”
She smiled, “night guys.”
You two said your good nights as Hermione moved from your bed to her own.
“What do you think he’ll do tomorrow?” You asked Hermione as she shut off the lights. You pulled the covers close to your body, waiting for her response.
“I’m not sure,” she replied, getting comfy in her own bed. “Hopefully something sweet. He’s got a lot of making up to do if he wants to get back on our good side.”
You smiled softly, “yeah, you’re right. Night, ‘Mione.”
“Goodnight.”
✰  ✰  ✰
The next morning at breakfast, the owl dropped a letter in front of you.
“What’s that?” Ron asked, his mouth filled with food.
Ginny slapped him on the shoulder. “Don’t talk with your mouth full. Honestly, you act like you were raised in a barn.”
“We were raised in the same house, you know.” He pointed.
“What a shame that was,” she replied.
You chuckled at their banter, and ripped open the seal on the letter.
“What’s it say?” Hermione asked.
You scanned over the words before you read them aloud. “It says,
(Y/N),
I hope you know how much you mean to me. I was a fool to break things off with you. I only hope one day you’ll find it in your heart to forgive me.
Forever yours,
Theo”.
“Forever yours?” Ginny squealed. “That is so romantic.”
Hermione raised her brow quizzically. “Weren’t you the one telling her not to get back with him?”
Ginny rolled her eyes. “I can have mixed feelings about this. He breaks her heart but then he writes her a love letter. It’s got me confused, okay?”
You chuckled. “I think it’s cute. It’s not gonna win me back, but it was an alright effort.”
“Oooh, what a burn,” Harry chuckled. “Poor bloke must’ve forgot how stubborn you are.”
You shook your head with a smile, “nah, he didn’t forget. If I know anything about Theo, he’s just getting started.”
“So, (Y/N/N),” Ron said, “do you want to get back with him or what’s going on with this?”
You shrugged. “I mean, obviously I still love him. It just sucks what he did and I don’t think he should be able to get off the hook that easily. He shouldn’t be forgiven for breaking my heart just because he writes a little letter.”
“I love you for that,” Ginny said as she nodded her head.
“Hey, (Y/N/N).”
Looking behind you, you could see Enzo give a sheepish smile and a small wave.
You grinned, “Hey Enzo, how are you? Sorry about yesterday, by the way, Theo’s a little crazy sometimes.”
He chuckled and awkwardly rubbed his hand through his hair. “Yeah, I’ve noticed. But, yeah, no, Theo and I are all good. He apologized last night and told me all about his plans to woo you.”
You chuckled with a roll of your eyes. “Go figure.”
“Yeah,” he smiled, “anyway, I just wanted to come by and resume how we were before, you know, the whole break up thing, and drop off this book I think you’ll like.”
Enzo pulls out a book from his satchel and hands it to you.
“Coraline?” You asked as you flip it around and skim over the synopsis.
“Yeah, it’s kind of spooky and psychological which I think you’ll really enjoy.”
You grinned up at him, “that’s perfect. Thank you, Enzo.”
He sent a tight lipped smile, and nodded before turning away and walking back to the slytherin table.
“I like Enzo,” Ginny said with a dreamy look on her face.
You rolled your eyes with a smile. “Go get him then. He’s a sweetie.”
“You guys and those Slytherin boys,” Ron shakes his head with a scoff. “Not even that cute, I’ll tell ya.”
“Oh, what?” Ginny asked sassily, “like you’re cute?”
“I think Ron’s cute,” Hermione winked at her boyfriend.
“Ugh, barf,” Ginny said.
The bell rang. You all stood to gather your things for first class.
“We’ll see you guys later,” you smiled as Hermione and you walked out to your shared first class.
“That was a pretty cute letter,” Hermione said as the two of you started walking down the hall.
“Yeah, I think it was sweet, but like I said, he can’t win me back that eas-“
“Excuse me?” Someone tapped your shoulder.
Stopping, you and Hermione turned to see a younger Slytherin boy, presumably a first year, standing before you.
“Uh, yes?” You asked confused, “do you need help with something?”
“Um, Theodore says I have to carry your satchel and books for you.” The first year stood awkwardly.
“Oh, uh, that’s okay, you really don’t have to.” You blushed, a little embarrassed that Theo would make a first year cater to you.
“I have to.” He said adamantly. “Theodore said he’ll set me up with this hot girl I like if I carry your books for you.”
Hermione snickered from next to you. You turned back to her, a bewildered smile on your face as you tried not to laugh.
“Well,” you said as you handed the young boy your satchel. “I can’t be the one to stop your true love, now can I?”
The boy grinned as he held on to your satchel as well as his.
“Theodore is crazy,” Hermione remarks as you continue walking to your next class. The boy followed behind the two of you all the way to your first period.
As soon as your classroom came into view, you could see Theodore standing there with a bouquet of flowers in hand. He grinned a devilish thing as he saw you approach.
“I’ll meet you in there,” Hermione said with a knowing smirk.
You walked up to Theo. He was beautiful as ever, but even he knew that wouldn’t get him anywhere.
“Hi (Y/N).” He smiled at you then turned to the kid. “I’ll take it from here. I’ll have my guys put in a good word with Maizy for you.”
The kid nodded his head and smiled as he ran off.
Theo threw your satchel over his shoulder and held out the beautiful assortment of flowers towards you. “For you, to say I’m sorry for being a douchebag and an idiot and a stupid motherfucker. All in the words of Draco by the way. Never knew how much he liked us together.”
You chuckled and grabbed the flowers out of Theo’s hand. “Thank you.”
He smiled and shoved his hands in his pockets. “So, have you thought about what I said yesterday?”
You sighed. “Of course I’ve thought about it Theo. Just like I’ve thought about how much you broke my heart when you dumped me.”
“Okay, I deserved that.”
You chuckled. “Yeah. Thank you for the flowers, Theo. And… I still care about you, I just need time to figure this all out. I can’t just forgive you that fast when you broke my heart, just  last week!”
Theo sighed, “I know. I know! Fuck! I know I fucked up, baby, but I am going to do everything I can to win you back. I’ll wait for you. I’ll wait as long as it takes, baby, I swear it to do. The boys are down my back yelling at me for how hard I screwed everything up. They think I’m stupid, and I think I’m stupid too for letting you go. I promise you, I will do everything it takes for you to trust me again, mi amore.”
Your eyes softened. Theo knew exactly how to make your heart soar.
“Theo…”
“No, baby,” he shook his head. “You take your time. I’m gonna be here whenever you decide if you want to forgive me or not. Hopefully you decide you do want to forgive me.” He chuckled awkwardly.
You matched his awkward laugh. “Well, thanks again for the flowers. They’re very pretty.”
Theo smiled and nodded before turning around and walking away.
✰  ✰  ✰
Later that night, you sat in the library studying for your Herbology final. Ginny and Hermione offered to help you study, but you knew you’d be here too late to want to burden them.
As you flipped through the pages of your herbology book, you tried your best to take down any notes that you thought would be important.
Your stomach growled.
“Knew that was inevitable.”
When you looked up from your textbook, you could see Theo sheepishly smiling as he held two trays from the cafeteria.
“What was?” You asked with a smile. You cleared some papers to make space for Theo to sit down.
He grinned and placed the trays on the table as he took his seat next to you.
“Knew you would forget to eat while you studied for this exam.”
You chuckled and peered over to see what Theo brought you to eat. Ham, potatoes, and stuffing from the dining hall.
“Thank you, Theo. That’s really sweet of you.”
He slid a tray closer to you, and you eagerly picked up the provided fork and dug in.
Theo chuckled as you scarfed down your food. “Pretty hungry?”
You nodded as you finished chewing. Theo smiled to himself and started to take a few bites of his potatoes.
“You’re being awfully sweet to me, Theo.”
“Haven't I always been sweet to you, darling?”
“Well, yes. But that was before.”
Theo sighed. “I know I screwed up royally. I’m trying to make up for my mistakes. I’m still the same boy I was just a few months ago. I had a lapse in judgment and that cost me the best thing in my life.”
You frowned. “Theo…”
“Don’t you miss me, (Y/N/N)?” Theo shifted to face you straight on. He nervously leaned forward on the table, staring into your eyes, waiting for your response.
“…of course I miss you, Theo. How could I not? You’re everything to me, and I’m just so scared of something like that happening again.”
“(Y/N),” Theo started. He tentatively grabbed your hands in his. “I promise you, with everything in me, if you decide to take me back I will never hurt you or disappoint you ever again. You have my word mi amore.”
You were conflicted. You miss Theo like crazy. You couldn’t help it. No matter what you said to your friends about him having to work hard for you, it tore you apart every time you saw him knowing you still weren’t together. You missed being his.
“Okay,” you said.
“Okay?” Theo’s face lit up. “You-you’re giving me another chance?”
“Yeah,” you softly smiled, “I miss my boy.”
Theo grinned and yanked you toward him, engulfing you in a hug—one you’ve been waiting days for. You missed him. You missed being held by him.
You held around his neck tightly, scared to let go. You never realize how much you craved his touch when it was gone.
Theo buried his face in your hair, breathing in your scent. “God, I’ve missed you.”
You smiled and pulled back. Theo smiled back at you. Slowly, you leaned in and pressed your lips against his in a warm, longing kiss. Your hands rested on his cheeks, his on your waist as you kissed with all the love stored up between you.
When he pulled away, Theo stayed close with his forehead rested against yours. “I promise you baby, I’m here for good.”
“You better be.”

ONE CUP OF COFFEE. theodore nott
( master list )
IN WHICH… Theodore Nott can’t stand the idea of actually falling in love but he finds himself questioning his choices after a series of rather comforting conversation with a Hufflepuff.
“Do you hate me so much that you can’t stand having one coffee with me?”
Warnings: Smoking, mentioning of throwing up, mentioning of weed, swearing here and there, mentioning of hooking (pretty tame for a Theodore Nott fic tbh
Tumblr media
“One coffee. Black. No milk or sugar. Make it hotter than usual.” Theodore Nott wasted no time in repeating his order to the worker behind the counter. A new coffee shop had opened inside of Hogsmeade and in the Slytherin’s opinion, their drinks were better than any muggle one.
He tossed a few golden coins onto the table before walking away and taking a seat in a deserted corner. He liked to be away from people because despite being part of a popular Slytherin group and partying often, he wasn’t a social person.
The quiet lulling of muggle songs played around in the cafe, bouncing off the walls. Theodore pulled his turtle neck up higher, covering his bare skin from the cold air. It nipped at his slim fingers and he wished he had taken a pair of Draco’s Dior gloves now.
The rusted bell attached to the door dully rang as someone else entered. The cafe wasn’t too crowded. There were a few other students scattered here and there but not many people were willing to freeze just to grab a coffee.
Melted snow dripped off Theodore’s boots as his observant eyes followed the actions of the newcomer. He couldn’t tell what house she was in because she was wearing all white, but she definitely wasn’t a Slytherin. The girls clad in green and silver had a certain aura; an unfriendly, poisonous, and addictive one.
This girl radiated off sunshine and daffodils and basking in the warmth of a crackling fire. Theodore guessed she was in Hufflepuff because she had a certain charm to her bright smile.
“One cinnamon chai latte.” She ordered, kindly handing the cashier a few coins. She was practically the opposite of Theodore.
“Name?” The cashier asked, much comfortable in her presence as opposed to the Slytherin who sat a few feet away.
“Y/N.”
Her name jogged Theodore’s memory. She was the girl Lorenzo had been paired with in herbology. It was quite a long and dragged out assignment so whenever Lorenzo wasn’t hanging out with his friends, he was with her.
Theodore subconsciously sat up straighter and leaned forward to get a better look at Y/N. Lorenzo described her as a pretty and bright girl with a warm perspective on life. Instead of saying “what’s the worst that could happen?” She always said “what’s the best that could happen?”
Theodore was somewhat impressed by how positive a person could be.
He didn’t notice he had been staring until Y/N turned her head, innocent E/C eyes burning holes into his. Theodore almost jumped. He quickly adverted his gaze, clenching his jaw.
Out of the corner of his vision, he could see Y/N sit at the table beside him. She sat with her legs oddly crossed and her body was turned so she could look at him.
“Theodore Nott, right? Enzo’s friend?” Her voice was gentle, like a meadow full of daisies and glittering ponds of water.
Theodore thickly swallowed before he nodded. “Yeah. Lo’s talked about you. You were his partner for potions.” The brunette had never heard anybody call Lorenzo by Y/N’s nickname, but maybe that was because he didn’t allow anybody to call him that. Unless it was Y/N, of course.
The poor boy was smitten with her during fifth year but he shyly backed off when he realised he had too much competition. To this day, Draco was still trying to convince him to man up.
“He talked about me?”
“Only once or twice.” Theodore lied through his teeth. He may be a tease, but he refused to out his friend.
“The assignment we did was so annoying. I’m glad I had him as my partner. If it was anybody else, I would’ve gone mad.” Y/N signed and a small laugh slipped past her pink-tinted lips.
“You practically saved his herbology grades. Lo is smart but his plant knowledge is in the negatives.” Theodore huffed in amusement, his mouth curving into a sly smirk.
“He’s good with everything else, though.” Y/N uttered. Out of the whole Slytherin group, Lorenzo, Draco, and Pansy had the highest grades. Blaise couldn’t care less; he still scored pretty high but grades weren’t his whole life. And Matteo and Theodore, the players they were, didn’t even bother studying for exams.
“Black coffee.” The barista suddenly called out, making Theodore realise he had never given the worker his name.
“That must be your’s.” Y/N said, nodding over at the steaming drink. She smiled, which almost set Theodore’s heart alight. It was already drowning in gasoline and her damn grin may as well be the flaming match. “Theo?” She waved a hand in front of his face as he spaced out.
“Huh?” Finally, his blank eyes shifted to stare at her.
“Your coffee.” Y/N reminded him.
“Oh. Right. I’ll see you later.” Theodore was quick to stand up and grab his drink, the paper cup burning the palm of his hand.
“See you later, Theo!” Y/N called out, not seeming to notice his uneasy mood.
Theodore sped walked out of the coffee shop, holding a hand to his chest. His stomach sank as dread overwhelmed him.
Him and Matteo were like two peas on a pod. They shared the same habits too, like drinking their sorrows away and smoking until their lungs burned. And let’s not forget their infamous reputations as playboys. Theodore Nott didn’t do relationships so he refused to let a soft Hufflepuff change his mind.
Despite shoving down whatever warm feeling he felt when he was next to Y/N, Theodore couldn’t help but crane his head in search for a certain flash of H/C hair.
“Black coffee. Extra hot.” He muttered absentmindedly to the same cashier who had served him a week before.
“Name?” She asked, bored eyes gazing up at him.
“Theo.” He quickly replied, turning his head again when he thought he saw Y/N. He felt disappointed when it wasn’t her. The worker seemed to notice.
“Are you looking for that Hufflepuff you were talking to last time?” She questioned, arching a thin brown eyebrow. Theodore glanced down at her name tag that read Eulia.
“No.” He quickly denied her inquiry, wrapping his long Slytherin scarf tighter around his bare neck.
“She comes in every week around this time. She’ll be here soon.” Eulia said, glancing over Theodore’s shoulder to take in the growing line. She cleared her throat, reminding Theodore of where he was.
As usual, he threw some coins onto the countertop and walked away to the same table he sat at before. His head perked up when he heard the sound of familiar laughter.
Y/N walked in, waving good-bye to her Ravenclaw friend. “The usual, Y/N?” Eulia asked, already typing her order into the monitor.
Y/N practically bounced over to Theodore, taking a seat in front of him. “Hey, long time no see. I thought I’d see you at school but I guess not.”
“I was busy.” Theodore lied. In truth, he had been hauled up in his dorm and listening to Draco rant about Pansy.
“Doing what?” Y/N innocently tilted her head to the side, genuinely curious.
Theodore, as blunt and brainless as ever, blurted out the first thing he could think of. “Weed, drugs, and smoking.” He wanted to bash his head into the table. What kind of response was that?
Yes, he used to do all those things but he had toned it down. The only addiction he had was smoking now.
“I don’t know why I said that. It was the first thing that popped up in the mind.” He admitted, scratching the back of his head.
“I’m not judging you, if that’s what you’re worried about.” Y/N laughed, “By the way, your cigarettes are about to fall.” She pointed to the packet that was lazily shoved into Theodore’s pocket. He quickly caught it.
“I don’t do weed or drugs anymore.” He uttered, “Just so you know.”
From the coffee machines, Eulia rolled her eyes. “Coffee for Theo. Cinnamon chai latte for Y/N.” She called out, placing the drinks down.
Theodore quickly stood up. “I’ll get them.” He offered, not waiting for a response.
“Smooth.” Eulia said as he grabbed the drinks.
“Cut me some slack. I’m used to hooking up with toxic girls, not chatting over coffee with a sweet Hufflepuff.” Theodore lightly scoffed.
“So, Theo, what do you want to do when you graduate?” Y/N asked as soon as he sat back down again.
He shrugged. “I don’t know.” In all his years of Hogwarts, he had never thought about it. “What about you?”
“I want to open a bakery.” Y/N said like she had been waiting the question to come up.
Theodore raised his eyebrows. “You like baking?”
“Yup! I’ll bake you something next week. Do you like chocolate?”
“Who doesn’t?” Theodore only knew one person who didn’t like chocolate, and that was Pansy. But to be fair, she had gotten food poisoning from spiked chocolate in third year.
It was safe to say that she spent most of that day hunched over the toilet while Matteo held back her hair and Lorenzo gently got her to drink water, which she threw up too but it’s the thought that counts.
“Great! I have to go now. I’m meeting up with another friend. See you at school, Theo!” Y/N effortlessly chugged her scorching hot drink. She slammed the cup against the table, grinning.
“What the…” Theodore was still trying to process what had just happened as he watched Y/N run out of the cafe and into the arms of her friend
The next week, Y/N arrived earlier than Theodore. He had been held up by Blaise, who was curious as to why he was visiting the same coffee shop three times in a row.
Theodore entered the store after managing to shake Blaise off. He shoved his hands into his pockets, shivering despite the atmosphere being warm.
Eulia, who seemed to be on duty every day, had already made his drink and placed it in front of Y/N. She was too busy doodling on his cup with a permanent marker to notice his sudden appearance.
“Cute outfit.” He said as he sat down, the legs of his chair scraping against the tilted floor. Y/N’s face visibly lit up at his small compliment. Theodore observed her pink sweater with little bows sewn on it and her short white skirt with fleece leggings lining her legs.
“As promised, your cookie.” Y/N slid the box over to Theodore, smiling. “I would recommend heating it up. A warm cookie is better than a cold and hard one.”
“Do you bake often?” Theodore asked, taking the box and letting it rest on his lap.
“I try to bake as much as I can. I like helping the house elves too.” Y/N began to fondly talk about her love for baking and as much as Theodore tried to focus on her words, his gaze wandered to a suspicious group huddled in the opposite corner.
Once Theodore looked past their dark sunglasses and large coats, he recognised them as his friends. He saw Draco shove past Pansy and he surely pointed at Y/N then at Theodore before slapped his hands together.
Theodore stared at him, puzzled. And it showed as he furrowed his eyebrows and frowned. Y/N didn’t seem to notice his wavering attention, much to his relief.
“Do you want to bake together sometime, Theo?” Y/N asked, bringing him back to their conversation. He felt a little guilty because he hadn’t heard another word of what she had said.
“Sure. Though, I don’t think I’d be much help. Matt and I tried making edibles once and we messed that shit up.”
From behind Draco, Matteo glared at Theodore. It was your fault, he mouthed. He wasn’t lying, Theodore had gotten just about every ingredient in the recipe wrong.
“Edibles?” Y/N tilted her head to the side.
“Weed brownies.” Theodore elaborated, “But that was last year. I don’t do that anymore, remember? I only party and smoke.”
“I know. You told me.” Her eyes crinkled when she smiled. Y/N’s gaze flickered to his packed of cigarettes that always looked like it was about to fall out.
“Would you like to come to a party with me?” Theodore asked, leaning forward. There was one in the Slytherin common room next week. Normally, people from other houses weren’t invited but if you had the right connections, you’d be let in.
“Parties aren’t my thing. I… don’t like the vibe. You know?”
“That’s fine. You ever tried smoking?”
“No. Cedric offered to teach me but I declined.” Y/N frowned at the lost opportunity.
“I’ll teach you.” Theodore said a little too quickly. He cleared his throat. “I mean, you keeping me company wouldn’t be so bad.” He grabbed his packet, sliding it across the table. “These are my good ones. Keep ‘em and whenever you’re having a bad day or just wanna have a smoke, find me. I’ll light one for you.”
From across the room, Matteo lightly gasped. Theodore never ever shared his good cigarettes with anyone, not even him.
“Really?” Y/N picked up the worn-out box, staring at it.
“Yeah. I gotta get going. My friends are probably wondering where I am.” Theodore, once again, lied through his teeth. He knew his friends had questions and he didn’t want to keep them waiting. He stood up, feeling Pansy’s gaze burn a hole through him.
“Enjoy the cookie!” Y/N exclaimed, grinning and waving him off.
Theodore smiled. “I’m sure I will, love.” He walked out of the cafe, his friends following close behind and bombarding him just like he had predicted.
“You clearly have some sort of feelings towards her.” Panay said as she poked the brunette beside him. All throughout breakfast, Panay had been trying to get Theodore to admit his growing affection for Y/N. He denied it every time.
“I don’t.” He said for the third time, leaning down to stuff some bacon into his mouth. As he quickly chewed, his gaze flickered to Y/N.
“You’re looking at her again!” Pansy exclaimed, huffing. “It’s so obvious you like her!”
“Where’s Lo and Draco?” Theodore changed the subject, realising the two boys were missing.
“You can’t change the topic. You like her and you know it.” Unfortunately for Theodore, Pansy was persistent. Maybe a little too much.
“Theo likes who?” Lorenzo tilted his head to the side in curiosity. The whole group, even Blaise who laughed at awkward situations, froze.
Nobody responded for a moment before Blaise put down his fork. “Y/N. He likes Y/N L/N.” Theodore glared at the boy, wondering why on hell he’d even tell Lorenzo the truth.
“… Oh.” Lorenzo didn’t say much as he sat down, glancing over at Y/N. “You’re not going to break her heart, right?”
“I don’t like her. End of conversation.” Theodore groaned, taking a huge gulp from his goblet.
“I don’t believe you.” Lorenzo uttered, pointing his fork at Theodore’s eyes, “Your eyes say it all. You keep looking at her every minute and when you do, your eyes soften.”
Pansy snickered, nudging Theodore. “Told you.”
“If you don’t like her, then you wouldn’t mind if someone else asked her out, would you?” Matteo piped up.
“You aren’t her type.” Theodore immediately replied, scoffing.
“We’re practically the same, Theo. If I’m not her type then you aren’t. She’s pretty and all but I don’t date. That guy, on the other hand, seems like he does.” Matteo pointed over to a Ravenclaw boy approaching Y/N. The whole Slytherin group watched as he nervously asked her something and when she slowly nodded, his face lit up.
Theodore clenched his hands into fists. “Did he just ask her out?” He seethed, clenching his jaw.
“You don’t like her, remember? You shouldn’t care.” As usual, Matteo had that same infuriating smirk on his face. “Anyway, what are we doing for the party tonight?”
Theodore had forgotten all about it. He faintly remembered Y/N saying parties weren’t her thing. Did she like guys who didn’t party? That Ravenclaw boy looked like he didn’t. Is that why she said yes?
“I’m not doing. Not really my thing.” He uttered, shrugging. His friends looked at him in disbelief.
“Not your thing?” Matteo stammered, “Mate, the only thing you do is party! What’s gotten into you?!”
“He’s trying to turn into Y/N’s ideal type.” Pansy snickered, “He knows he isn’t the blueprint and he can’t see her with anyone else so he’s improving himself.”
“Respect, bro. But what about Izzi?” Matteo motioned to the Slytherin girl down a few rows who was Theodore’s favourite hookup.
“I don’t care about her.”
“What about the drinks?”
“I need to cut my alcohol intake.”
“Smoking? You can’t give up smoking! You’re addicted!”
“Y/N has my cigs. When she wants to learn, I’ll teach her.”
“And if she never wants to learn?”
“Then I won’t pester her. Not smoking for a while might do me some good.” Theodore on the brink of giving up smoking for some girl was a huge deal.
Matteo leaned over to Draco, “Is he sick?”
Pansy lightly snorted and she teasingly grinned, “If you mean lovesick, then yeah.”
To be honest, Theodore didn’t even know what he was doing. His head tried to convince him to return to the common room and drink like he usually did, but his heart said no.
That’s how he ended up in the courtyard, enjoying the fresh breeze.
“Theo?” An all too familiar voice called out. He practically spun around, facing Y/N. “I thought you’d be at your party.” She stared at him, confused.
“I’m taking a break from all that.” He said. Y/N silently sat beside him on the stone bench.
“I still have your cigarettes if you want them.” Y/N said, handing the packet over. “I thought about it and I don’t think I want to smoke just yet.”
“Thanks, love.” Theodore took the box, shoving it into his pocket without hesitation. Normally, he’d take one out and light it up but tonight was different.
“So, that Ravenclaw boy.” Theodore drawled. “He asked you out, huh?”
“Hm? Oh, Rowan? Yeah. I only said yes to be nice though because he helped me with some work last year.”
“You’re too kind, love. You need to know your boundaries.”
Y/N’s cheeks heated up at the sound of his endearing nickname. “I can’t say no now. It’ll just be one date then I’ll say it didn’t work out.”
“What if he wants a second date? What will you do?” Theodore moved closer to Y/N so he could feel the warmth radiating off her body. His heart jumped at their close proximity.
“Then I’ll tell him I don’t want one.” Y/N whispered, staring up at Theodore with those gentle eyes he liked so much.
“I liked your cookie, by the way.” Theodore slowly smiled, “It was good.”
“I’ll bake you a few more next time.” Y/N beamed. “I’m trying a new recipe for a brownie so I’ll give you one too!” Theodore smiled as she jumped into another rant about baking. This time, he could actually listen without being pestered by his friends.
Theodore, as usual, walked into the cafe around the same time he usually did. Eulia spotted him and subtly waved. “Has Y/N come in yet?” He asked.
Eulia hesitated before she pointed over at Y/N and Rowan. Theodore visibly deflated. He knew Y/N was only being nice to the Ravenclaw but he still felt a twinge of sadness.
“I’m sorry, Theo. If it makes you feel better, she hasn’t looked like she’s enjoyed the date. She looks much happier talking to you.” Eulia handed him his coffee.
“Right.” He sat down at a nearby table, glancing over at Y/N every so often. The slight pang in his heart reminded him of why he never dated in the first place. He quietly cleared his throat, deciding that whatever butterflies he felt for Y/N had to be drowned.
He stood up and Y/N immediately caught his gaze. She smiled and waved when Rowan wasn’t looking, but Theodore ignored her. Slowly, she lowered her hand.
As Rowan ranted on about how Ravenclaw was the best house, Y/N couldn’t help but think of what she had done to possibly anger Theodore. So much that he ignored her when he usually enjoyed her small smiles and secretive waves. She blocked out Rowan’s voice, frowning. He couldn’t grab her attention like Theodore could.
If only she knew that Theodore was simply trying not to fall in love.
Theodore avoided her for the rest of the week. Whenever she tried to approach him, he’d walk away. Even his friends were puzzled. After another failed attempt of trying to talk to Theodore, Pansy placed a hand on her shoulder.
“We’ll talk to him.” She said.
“I don’t know what I did wrong. He’s been acting so moody all of a sudden.” Y/N sighed and pouted.
“Maybe he’s on his period.” Matteo snickered at his own joke but immediately stopped when nobody else laughed with him. “I mean, Theo hasn’t had a good drink, fuck, or smoke since Monday. And all he did on that day was smoke for five minutes before he got caught.”
“I thought he liked doing all those things. Why’d he stop if it’s just going to make him grumpy?” Y/N murmured, playing with the hem of her blouse. Matteo and Pansy exchanged a glance, knowing they shouldn’t expose Theodore so early.
“He’s just being unreasonable. Don’t worry, we’ll get through to him.” Matteo grinned, his eyes flickered to the box in Y/N’s hands. “More cookies for him?”
She nodded. “Could you give this to him? It might make him feel better.” Matteo lowly hummed, taking the box. He and Pansy walked off after Theodore, muttering to each other about what could possibly be wrong with their friend.
“Theo.” Matteo called out as they entered the Slytherin Chamber. They found him sprawled out on the couch, a burning cigarette in his mouth. “Y/N made you cookies.”
Theodore looked at the box in Matteo’s outstretched arms. “I don’t want ‘em.” He said with a lazy flick of his hands.
“But you said you love her cookies. Jeez, dude, what’s gotten into you?” Matteo scoffed as he grabbed one, shoving it into his mouth. “If a girl made me cookies like these, I’d fall in love.”
“That’s the problem!” Theodore exclaimed loudly. “I’m Theodore Nott, Hogwarts resident fuck boy. I don’t do relationships! But Y/N- Y/N is making me feel things I shouldn’t!” He groaned, pulling at the ends of his hair.
“That’s the problem?” Pansy huffed, taking a seat beside him. “Theo, look at yourself. You haven’t partied in ages, you haven’t drank, you haven’t had sex with any other girl since last month. And you haven’t been smoking up until now! If you’re willing to stop all that shit for Y/N then you obviously like her!”
“What if I’m just concealing it, huh? What if I haven’t changed and if I date Y/N, then I hurt her? I don’t care about any other girl’s feelings but Y/N, fuck. I don’t want to hurt her.”
“Figure your feelings out then decide what you want to do. Easy peasy.” Matteo shrugged, eating another cookie. Theodore clicked his tongue, snatching the box out of his hands.
“It better be easy or I’m going to smoke all your favourite cigs, Matt.”
Matteo was lying. It was not easy to figure out how he felt towards Y/N. Every time he got close to her, he changed his mind last minute and rushed off. It earned him some weird looks but he couldn’t care less.
“Have you even slept lately?” Matteo questioned, slamming a cup of coffee in front of Theodore. He groaned.
“Do I look like I’ve slept?” He muttered, glowing at Matteo.
“Like a baby.” His friend teased, cruelly laughing. Lorenzo glanced over Theodore’s shoulder, clearing his throat.
“Y/N’s coming this way.” He whispered, kicking Theodore.
“What?” He looked around, panicked. Y/N was indeed walking towards him. He grabbed his coffee, splashing it onto Matteo’s wrinkled blouse.
“Yo! What the fuck, dude? That’s hot!” Matteo seethed, resisting the urge to peel his wet shirt off. Some girls hoped he would.
“Sorry, Matt. It was an accident. I’ll help you clean up.” Theodore tried to play his stunt off as an accident while practically dragging Matteo out of the hall.
“Okay, seriously, what was that all about?”
“I needed an excuse to get away.”
“So you spilled hot coffee on me?!”
“I would’ve let you do the same.” Theodore glared at his friend as he sat down and slumped. “She’s everywhere. How is she so social? I can’t get away from her.” He ran a hand through his messy hair.
“Have you been running away from Y/N this whole time?” Matteo questioned, arching an eyebrow. “It’s hilarious to imagine you running away from a girl.”
“Shut up. I’m processing things.” Theodore sighed.
“Just talk to her, Theo.” Matteo lightly nudged his leg, “What else can you lose? You’ve already lost your dignity.”
It had been a few weeks since Theodore had returned to the coffee shop. But finally, he strutted through the doorway with his usual uncaring demeanour.
Someone else entered as Theodore stood in the middle of the room, taking in everything he had missed about this cafe.
“Theo?” Y/N asked, peering over his shoulder. “I haven’t seen you in a while.” He stiffened and slowly turned around. “Are you having a coffee?”
“I’ve already had one, actually. I was just seeing if this place had changed.” Theodore wanted to walk away but he couldn’t tear his gaze away from Y/N’s eyes.
“Well, there’s no harm in having another one, right? It’s on me.” Y/N smiled at Eulia, “One cinnamon chai latte and…” She thought for a moment, glancing over at Theodore, “You’ve already had a coffee so one cream latte as well!”
Y/N paid and brushed past Theodore.
“Kiss her.” Eulia hissed, harshly poking Theodore’s shoulder.
“I’m not kissing her.” Theodore replied back in a hushed whisper.
“Theo, you coming?” Y/N called out, looking over her shoulder.
There was barely anybody in the cafe and even if there was, Eulia would’ve ignored their drinks to make Y/N and Theodore’s.
Theodore reached out to grab his but Y/N was quicker. She grasped both drinks, smiling at him. “We don’t have to be back at school for a while so let’s sit here.”
Theodore nervously followed behind Y/N to their usual table. He sat down, rigid and stiff. He saw his cup and glared at Eulia, who laughed. She had written a message on the cardboard, kiss her, and Theodore was quick to cover it.
He looked out the window, almost jumping with joy when he saw Matteo. “Oh! Matt! I need to talk to him! Sorry, Y/N. I’ll see you later!” He ran out of the cafe, crashing into his friend.
“Matteo! Quick! Do something!” Theodore shook his friend, urging him to create a distraction.
“Is this about Y/N?” He asked.
“She’s in the coffee shop- don’t look!” Theodore shoved his friend.
“And you need me to something stupid?”
Theodore eagerly nodded but was unprepared when Matteo pushed him forward and down a snowy hill. “Theo! Sorry! My hand slipped! I’m coming!” Matteo yelled out in a fake worried voice as Theodore rolled and got a mouthful of snow.
Y/N watched their strange interaction as she sipped on her drink. “… He didn’t call me love like he usually does.”
Y/N hummed to herself as she slipped on a pair of mittens and took out a tray of cookies. She placed the hot metal tray on the counter, the smell of baked goods wafting through the air.
She poured herself a cup of light coffee and sat down, swinging her legs. She lifted her head when she heard the sound of quiet swearing and smelled the scent of cigarettes and cologne.
“Theo?” She asked, tilting her head to the side. It was silent for a moment before the boy sheepishly pushed the kitchen doors open.
“I was looking for a snack for Pansy. She’s not feeling well.” He looked around, staring at everything but Y/N.
“I would offer her a cookie but she doesn’t really like chocolate, does she?” Y/N circled her finger around the rim of her cup, “Would you like some coffee? I made it myself.”
Theodore found himself sitting across from her against his will. He watched as she poured him a cup, softly smiling.
“Thanks.” He stammered, grabbing the white mug and gulping it down.
Y/N’s eyes widened. “Careful! Isn’t it hot?”
Theodore slammed the cup down, ignoring the burning sensation on his tongue. “No.” He wheezed, his vocal cords threatening to give up on him, “I’m fine. Tastes great.”
“You’ve spilled some.” Y/N said. She leaned forward, pointing at his collar. His top two buttons were undone and hot coffee trickled down his skin. “That must hurt. Here, let me help.”
Y/N dabbed a tissue against Theodore’s collar and he flinched as her fingers came in contact with his exposed skin. She noticed, peeking up at him through her lashes.
“Do you hate me so much that you can’t stand having one coffee with me?” She asked, taking a small step back.
“What?” Theodore choked. He didn’t hate her, quite the opposite to be honest.
“You keep running away from me. And you left me in the cafe the other day. And you didn’t wave back. Do you hate me?”
Theodore hated how he could see her E/C eyes glass over. He fiddled with his mug, tapping his nails against the porcelain.
“I… have to go. Pansy needs me.” He stood up, leaving without another word. He was doing what he did best; running away from his problems.
With Theodore out of the picture, Y/N felt lonely. She dug around in her pocket, confused when she fished out a cigarette. “Oh… it must’ve fallen out.” She murmured.
She was on her way to the cafe, but not to meet up with Theodore. The day after he had walked out on her, again, a Gryffindor had approached her and asked her out. She said yes in hopes this date would be better than her date with Rowan.
Spoiler alert, it wasn’t. In fact, she felt like it was worse. Y/N stared at her cup as the boy beside her talked on and on about his love for quidditch.
“What’s your hobby?” He suddenly asked.
“Baking.” Y/N answered absentmindedly.
“Oh, that’s kind of boring. Quidditch is better, don’t you think?”
Y/N resisted the urge to sigh. Theodore never insulted her love for baking.
“Do you do anything else?” The boy questioned.
“I study.”
“Jeez, you really are boring. You wanna come to a party with me? I know a guy who’ll hook us up with some coke.”
“No thanks.” Y/N rested her cheek in the palm of her hand, watching the clock closely so she could dart away as soon as the date was over.
Someone suddenly pulled up a chair in front of Y/N. “Coke is boring.” Theodore uttered, “Baking is better.”
Y/N tried to conceal her smile since she was still upset with him, but when he winked at her, she couldn’t help it.
“What are you doing here, Nott?” The Gryffindor sneered.
“I’m here to thank you for keeping my girl company.” Theodore grinned, showing off his pearly white teeth. “Now, if you’ll excuse us.” He grabbed Y/N by the wrist, tugging her out of the cafe.
“Why do you choose the shittiest guys to go out with?” Theodore asked.
Y/N lightly huffed. “It’s not like I mean to. At least they don’t walk away from me when I’m trying to talk, though.”
“You still upset with me, love?”
“You hurt my feelings, Nott.” Y/N pulled out the lone cigarette, shoving it into Theodore’s hand, before hurrying off.
He quickly placed it between his lips and lit it. “Let me explain, love!” He exclaimed, chasing after her. He breathed out a mouthful of smoke.
“Okay. Then explain.” Y/N folded her arms over her chest.
“What? Here? Now?” When Theodore saw the unamused look on Y/N’s face, he sighed. “Fine, but this is going to sound stupid.” He took another hit from his cigarette, needing all the courage he could get.
He took a deep breath. “I think you’re wonderful person and I didn’t want to risk hurting you so I tried to distance myself but that backfired and I was trying to process my feelings because I’m Theodore Nott. I don’t do relationships. But you made me want to give it a go so I got scared and that made me do stupid shit like spilling coffee on Matt or running away or allowing Matt to push me down a hill.”
Y/N furrowed her brows. “What are you trying to say?”
“I like you, Y/N! I like the way you smile and the way your eyes light up and I like how you look and me and how fond you are of baking! I like how you take the time to make me cookies because it makes me feel special! You treat me so differently from other girls and that’s how I know you aren’t just around for a hook up! I like your perfume and your hair and your outfits and the way you skip when you’re happy and how you read classic Muggle books because you want a cute teen romance!”
“You noticed all of that… about me?”
“How could I not? You have such a charming aura and I can’t stand it because no matter how much I try to deny it, I like you.”
“You really like me?” Y/N knew about Theodore’s reputation and she’d be lying if she didn’t feel the same way. But what if he was just toying with her?
“I do.”
“Okay then. Hug me!” Y/N exclaimed, confident he was joking. Theodore shrugged before embracing her tightly. “Uh… hold my hand!” He intertwined their fingers without hesitation. “Kiss me!” Y/N was sure he wouldn’t do it but when he leaned down and pecked her lips, she froze.
“Are you done? There’s a lot more things I’d do for you, Y/N.”
“Are you sure you like me? Like, really? Because what if we get married and you decide you don’t like me but we already have two kids and a cat together? Who will keep the cat? Or will we have shared custody over it?” Y/N spoke so fast Theodore could hardly understand her.
“What about the children?” He asked, tilting his head to the side.
“What about the cat, Theo?”
“I really do like you, Y/N. Believe it or not. I’m willing to give dating a try… if it makes I can date you.”
“Please don’t break my heart, Theo.”
“I won’t.”
“Can we finally drink coffee together without you running off?” Y/N questioned, which earned her a small chuckle from Theodore.
“I won’t run away this time, love. I promise.”

Theo had not one idea as to why you were with him. You were a complete sunshine, never said no to anyone and were by far the kindest human theo had ever met.
Though people try to take advantage of your kindness, Theo's always there to protect you. He hates seeing his girl unable to say no even when she wants to and so, he helps her when he can.
However on that particular Saturday morning, your boyfriend hadn't accompanied you to breakfast, running late as usual and you had been approached by a boy in your class.
He had taken the opportunity of the empty seat beside you, which you saved for Theo, and decided to sit on it. Mattheo looked at him with an amused expression, eager to see Theo's reaction.
Theo came stumbling into the great hall, no robe, tie askew, and eyes searching for his beloved. His eyes land upon you, along with your uncomfortable expression.
He sits beside Mattheo, "You've not said anything to this boy?" Theo looks at you while you nod your head at said boy once more and he gets up while having a mischievous smile on his face.
"You really think, if I had said something he would still be there?" Theo chuckled at the statement, getting up to finally sit beside his girlfriend.
"Morning darling, what was that about?" he had a toast in his mouth, hanging off. He was trying to find the butter and you were sure you've never seen a much cuter sight.
Your hands instinctively find his tie, adjusting it as you speak. "He wants me to tutor him this afternoon." You pat his tie one last time before returning to your breakfast.
Theo rolls his eyes at your naiveness and how you don't see that boy was flirting with you, but decided to not say anything.
Later that afternoon, you wished you were still with Theo when you were sitting in the library with the boy whose name you had forgotten by now was sitting way too close.
You had decided if he moved any closer you would say something, anything. His hand moved around your shoulders, awkardly pulling you in, while his other hand met your thighs and you pulled away.
Your pulling away didn't help because the hand around your shoulder only pulled you closer. "Please move away from me." You had finally let out.
"Why, cause you're a little slut, whoring yourself out for your little boyfriend?" His words hit you, is this how people perceived you?
You had finally broken free of his hold, pushing yourself up along with your bag and running towards your dorms.
You shut the door, threw your bag on the floor, and got in your bed. You hugged your knees to your chest and started bawling your eyes out.
It was evening now and Theo hadn't seen you, deciding to check up on you, he went to your dorm. Knocking slightly, he entered and immediately thoughts of worry filled him.
You had cried, that much was clear from your face, but he wanted to know why. He sat beside you and you immediately hugged him, starting to cry again.
"What happened darling?" He asked in the most gentle voice he could muster up. He was ready to kill whoever had done this to his girl, but first he needed her to calm down.
"That boy, from this morning he-" you choked up, remembering his words and his touch and feeling disgusted by it.
"What did that fucker do, did he touch you?" Theo was seething, his jaw was tensed, few of his veins were visible.
You nodded and continued, "He touched me here," You brought his hands to your thighs. "He called me a slut, who was whoring herself out for you" Your voice was heavy and you looked ready to cry again.
Theo pulled up the sleeves of his shirt, wiping your tears with it, and pulled you up on your feet. Getting your shoes, from beside your bed, he knelt and helped you put them on.
"Where are we going, Theo?" you asked while he held your hand and pulled you towards with him to his dorm, you had never seen him this angry.
"To show that idiot, whose girl he was messing with" Slamming the door to his dorm open, he went into his bathroom while Mattheo, Enzo, and Draco looked around in confusion.
Theo came out with a baseball bat, handing one to Mattheo who only grinned and yelled, "Hell yeah" at the sight.
Theo held your hand again, pulling you along with him once more but this time three more boys were accompanying you.
The boy was sitting at the table in the great hall, surrounded by his friends, Theo left your hand and kissed your forehead before pulling the guy backwards using his shirt.
He was on the ground, while all four of them were surrounding him, the boy's friends had ran after seeing exactly who had pulled him down.
"Do you really think, you will mess with my girl and I'll stay silent?" He asked, laughing slightly, swinging the bat over his shoulder and the guy had just started to utter some words before Theo's bat hit his leg.
He groaned out in pain, and you winced at the sight. All three boys had now begun hitting the boy with all their might.
Finally after a while, professor Snape had arrived to break off the fight, giving them all a week's worth of detention while carrying the boy to the hospital wing.
Theo's hand came up to clean his face while he walked towards you, putting your face in his hands he whispered, "I'll always protect you, no matter what" and all you did was smile.

Hi hi, how are you? Could you write one where y/n is Draco's girlfriend, but she and Harry, who are best friends, end up arguing and he casts a dangerous spell on her? And when she arrives at the infirmary, still passed out, they discover she is pregnant?
best bad friend | draco malfoy
pairing: draco x reader
word count: 1,0k
summary: where y/n discovers something that will change draco’s and y/n’s life forever
a/n: i just wanted to clarify that the characters here are all in 7th year and thus of legal age
warnings: angst, violence, mentions of pregnancy
universe: harry potter
Tumblr media
“Harry, if you would just listen to me for one second-”
Your vocal cords can’t manage more than that when in the next moment you are hit with Stupefy by your opponent, whom you also call your best friend. With force, you are thrown against the wall and fall into unconsciousness right away. Only when you are able to open your eyes again do you realize what actually happened, what Harry did.
What he did to you, his best friend.
The bright light that streams into the room through the large windows dazzles you a little, and the slight breeze that gently shakes the white curtains reaches your ears, shaking the dark chandelier on the ceiling. The beige brick walls of the hospital wing – you realized it is the hospital wing once you sat up in your hospital bed, startled – express a coldness and you quickly notice that you seem to be the only patient right now. The other beds around you are all empty.
Exhausted, you massage your temples with your fingertips, the impact seemingly hit you harder than you originally thought. As you try to stop the pounding in your head, your gaze falls on the two wooden chairs that are close to your bed, as if someone had been sitting there just mere seconds ago.
Surprised, you look around again and do not move a single muscle, but you have to accept the fact that you can’t even hear any sounds from outside. Sighing deeply, you lean back into the uncomfortable mattress and place your palm on your forehead, closing your eyes and reflecting on what happened that transported you into the hospital wing of the castle.
Maybe telling Harry about your relationship with Draco Malfoy had not been such a good idea after all. Especially not when he found it out by himself first and only then did you decide to actually tell him about your relationship status. On the other hand, he would still not know if he had not caught the both of you kissing in an empty hallway. Even though you have sworn to never hide anything from each other, you betrayed him.
Best friends should not betray each other, you think. And yet you did exactly that.
It was perfectly understandable that Harry was angry and upset about this. You would never have blamed him for that. But throwing you across the room with a dangerous curse, ending up in the freaking hospital wing, all alone? Rather despicable.
You are racking your brains about how to face Harry the next time you see him when you are released from this prison that is your hospital bed when suddenly the heavy door finally opens and none other than Harry enters. Well, at least his head is peeking around the corner, and when your eyes meet for a moment, it looks like he would like to vanish into thin air right this second.
Understandably so.
“Y/N, you are awake!”, he says happily, but can’t hide the insecurity within his voice. “I- I will be right back.”
And just like that you are as alone again as you were since waking up, causing you to roll your eyes while crossing your arms in front of your chest in despair. Harry will definitely not get away from you that easily.
Harry does not take long to return, though he does bring Madam Pomfrey with him on the way back, the nurse greeting you with a friendly smile and looking you up and down as if you have lost all your limbs. When she asks you how you are feeling, you only reply that your head is buzzing. Which is the truth, but you honestly do not feel like talking to her about your emotional state right now after you were brought here by your best friend.
Obviously, you are not feeling well.
“If you allow me, I would like to talk to you alone for a few moments, Ms. Y/L/N”, Madam Pomfrey remarks after realizing that you do not feel like talking to her, or anyone at this point, about what happened. However, no one could have prepared you for what she would share with you in private.
At first you want to laugh and deny what she claims happened. That is completely and absolutely ridiculous, you think to yourself. Then, as you look into her serious eyes, your mood immediately changed, and you suddenly feel nauseous. The ground is pulled away from under your feet all of a sudden and you start falling and keep falling and just can’t stop falling. The pounding in your head gets louder, more unbearable by the second, and is now accompanied by a loud beeping in your ears.
Without knowing it and without being able to stop it, tears flow down your cheeks as your world falls apart in the blink of an eye. First, Madam Pomfrey tries to calm you down, to encourage you, but you do not want to hear her words. They will not change anything anyway. When she notices this as well, she finally gives you your space and leaves.
The silence bother you even more, however, since you are suddenly all alone with your thoughts and feelings. The moment there is a knock on the door and Harry enters the hospital wing, you break down completely. Immediately, Harry is at your side, holding you tight in his arms, trying to soothe you with whispers and repeated apologies.
The fact that he attacked you with a spell out of anger is honestly the least of your problems right ow, which is why you let him hold you, why you allow him to support you as your best friend. Everything you can think about in this moment is filled with pure darkness, and if it were not for Draco, who storms inside after hearing about the incident, completely distressed, the darkness would have taken you in whole.
As soon as you find yourself in a loveable embrace, after Harry willingly released you, Draco encourages you and confesses his love for you over a thousand times, over and over again.
“We can get through this, darling. Together”, Draco whispers softly and places several kisses against your temple, kissing away some of your streaming tears. “If anyone can do it, it’s us.”

pairing: draco malfoy x female reader

summary: although you're a hufflepuff, draco can't seem to suppress his feelings for you and has been asking you out since third year
a/n: i don't think i'll ever get out of my draco phase atp, its been years
song: yellow - coldplay
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were walking through the castle halls with your best friend, Cedric Diggory, wearing a blue sundress with your hair down and a ribbon holding two stands behind your head.
There were no classes today, so you decided to put on some light makeup as well and were taking a walk to the kitchens with Cedric.
"One day in the summer you need come over to my cottage, I can teach you how to bake," you announce, looking up at him as he drapes his arm around your shoulders.
"Hmm, I don't know if that would end well," he paused as he glanced down at you. "The last time you tried to bake with the house elves, you set the kitchen on fire," he laughs as he recalls you begging the house elves not to tell anyone.
"Okay that's not fair and you know it. You helped-"
"Y/n!"
You and Cedric turn around to see a smiling Draco Malfoy walking towards you both. His smile turns into a scowl as he sees Cedric's arm around you.
He quickly covers the jealousy with a charming smile as he looks back at your eyes that he adores.
"What now, Malfoy," Cedric sighs, already knowing what was going to happen.
Draco Malfoy was seen as rude to most people. So it was quite a shock to everyone when he asked you, a half-blood hufflepuff, out to hogsmeade for the first time in third year. You politely declined his offer because of some past encounters with him.
Although he has never said anything offensive to you, he has to your friends.
Your rejection didn't stop Draco from asking again. If anything, it made him want you more.
Ever since then, he has asked you out almost every week. Each time you rejected him, but it still didn't stop him.
Two years later he found himself in love with you. He has tried to get over you, but he can't picture himself with anyone that isn't you. If you were to ask him what he loved most about you, it would take more than a day to list everything. He grew up without much love, except from his mother, so it was a rather odd feeling when he first started to fancy you.
The first time he had gotten some hope for the two of you was when you had agreed to go to the yule ball with him last year. He thanked Merlin and almost cried of happiness. It was most definitely the best night of his life. You two had ended up almost kissed but were interrupted by Snape.
Back to present time, he asked if he could speak to you in private. Cedric looked over at you to make sure it was okay, you nodded and told him you would join him in a few minutes.
Draco gently grabbed your hand and pulled you into an empty classroom.
“You look so beautiful, darling” he compliments as you feel yourself lightly blushing as you avoids his eyes.
You should be use to the compliments by now since he gives them several times a day, but that doesn’t stop your cheeks from turning a light pink shade each time. He finds it adorable and hopes to be the only one to have the affect on you.
“Thank you, what is it you wanted to talk about?”
“Look, you know how much I fancy you- the whole bloody school knows. I- I just want you to give me one chance, love. If you truly don’t feel the same way about me than I’ll accept that,” he starts, his voice growing quieter as he leans towards your face.
“Please, sweetheart,” he whispers, his eyes dropping to your beautiful rosy lips as you gently pull the bottom one in between your teeth in thought.
“Um... okay,” you whisper with a small nod and smile.
He froze, before the biggest smile makes its way to his face. His lips brush against yours as he asks if it’s okay for him to kiss you.
You respond by gently pressing your warm lips to his slightly cold ones. He warps his arm around your waist pulling you closer to him as the other hand is holding your cheek. You run your hands through his hair and gently tug, getting a light groan from him.
You slowly pull back as you look at him in awe. His hair messy, his tie loose around his neck, his cheeks tinted red, his stunning eyes bright, and his lips slightly swollen.
“You are very pretty, you know,” you blurt out, turning your head in slight embarrassment.
He gently grabs your face and tilts your head so you’re looking at him. “Thats all you, angel. My pretty girl,” he whispers to you.
You peck his lips before slowly kissing down his jaw, trailing your mouth down his neck. Your gentle butterfly kisses and your teeth grazing his skin get some more low groans from him.
“As much as I’m enjoying this, love, if you keep doing that, you’re not going to be leaving this room anytime soon,” he grins.
You trail your lips back up to his, giving a quick peck before taking two steps back. “You’re right, I have forgotten about how I was supposed to go back to Cedric, do I look okay?”
“You look perfect as always, darling,” he replies while watching you straighten your hair with your hands.
“I don’t know you what you see in Diggory anyways”
“Oh knock it off,” you laugh hitting his shoulder as you start walking to the door.
“I’ll see you at dinner, yeah?”
“Mhm, bye Draco,” you smile at the boy, giving him one last look over.
Tumblr media
As Draco enters the common room, he finds his best friend, Blaise Zabini, doing some potions work on the couch.
He walks over and drops onto the couch next to him. Blaise glances up, back at his paper, and then whips his head to the boy when he takes in his state.
"I- what have you been doing"
"You'll never guess, mate," Draco sighs dreamily recalling your kiss.
"Does it happen to do with a certain cute hufflepuff that you happen to be obsessed with?"
"Maybe, and I am not obsessed with her"
"And I enjoy doing potions homework"
"You told me you did," Draco lies.
"No I didn't"
"Yes, you did"
"No, I didn't"
"Yes, you did"
"No, I didn't!"
"No, you didn't"
"Yes, I did!"
"Aha!" Draco grins in victory.
Blaise rolls his eyes, "did you two kiss?"
"Maybe we did, maybe we didn't," Draco shrugs.
"Good for you, it took long enough"

A few months later, you and Draco were a happy couple and were so close to one another. Since that day you first kissed, he somehow found a way to be with you almost all of the time.
You two were sitting on the grass outside, you both sneaked out, and Draco was showing you the constellation that he was named after.
He suddenly turned and tickled your stomach as you fell backwards laughing.
"D- Draco! St- op, I c- an't breathe! L- let me go-" You laugh as he gives you a few seconds to take some breaths.
"Never, sweetheart," he says rolling on top of you.
"Get off of me you oaf!" You giggle trying to push him off of you.
"Let me think about that, hmm... how about no," he says pecking your lips.
You then flip the both of you so you were now straddling him as your hair surrounding your faces. You lean down and kiss him softly. Pulling back slowly, his lips follow you and you lightly laugh. You look at him with such love and wonder how you got so lucky.
Draco happens to be thinking the same thing as he kisses to again and rests his forehead on yours.
"I love you," he whispers.
"I love you more," you whisper back.
"Not possible, love"

The fragmented ruins of Hogwarts laid beneath Y/N's trembling feet, along with the dark, thick mist enveloping the surrounding area. The atmosphere was cold, which only reminded her of the devastatingly current situation. She frantically attempted to move, but Voldemort's magic was too powerful. She was immobile... unable to do anything.
Except for her lips.
"Draco," she whispered breathlessly, using up all the strength she had left.
"Draco, don't listen to him. Don't let him get to y-" Voldemort shut Y/N's mouth, simply with a flick of his hand.
"Do it. Kill her," Voldemort commanded Draco, running his cold, pale hands over the 18 year old's shoulder.
This was it. This was the end—Y/N's end. And there was nothing she could do. She was standing at the center of Hogwarts—or what was left of it, anyway—helpless, under Voldemort's hold. Sounds of destruction and flickering of the wands were all she could percieve, along with screams of agony. It was... miserable. It was pure torture, knowing what was possibly happening—and what was probably happening at the moment. What could be happening to her loved ones...
But worst of all, Draco Malfoy was standing before her very own eyes, pointing his wand towards her, gripping onto it as though it were their last day. And it might very well be.
Voldemort's instructions were repeadtedly ringing in Draco's ear. Kill her. Otherwise he'll be the one to end up dead instead. But even then, Voldemort will finish her off himself or one of his minions will do the dirty work for him. Ironic, as that's what seemed to be happening right now. He was the minion who was forced to follow under the Dark Lord's influence.
But it wasn't the possibility of his own death that was bothering the blonde Slytherin. Oh no, not this time. It was the death of his best friend—the one he loved the most—Y/N. And up until that very moment, he never realized just how much she meant to him. How much he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her and nobody else. Some would describe that immense feeling as love, which is something Draco hasn't really felt in his life before. Not even the love from a parent, although his mother was an exception. But his father never showed any care towards his own son. Nor did any of his 'friends' who only stuck with him because of his name.
His last name. That was the problem. Malfoys were known to be strictly wealthy purebloods. He was a pureblood, that was for sure. But Y/N wasn't. She was a muggle born, which was the single reason why Draco's father despises her with every being of his soul. All his life, Draco was told to believe that purebloods were superior to the rest. But meeting Y/N changed his perspective on everything. It changed him. She made him question everything he had been taught since birth. Despite being a 'filthy little mudblood,' he liked the feeling of being with her. He felt whole when she was there. And to think that it could all possibly vanish in a matter of seconds. Everything they had gone through together, wasted so effortlessly.
All Draco's life, he ran away from his problems. Hell, that's what his family was planning to do from the start. Run away once Voldemort would reign once more. Draco was a coward—he had to admit. He was all talk and no action. It was all just an act to pose as someone he wasn't. And the one time he felt free from all that was when he was with her.
That's it. Free. He just had to free her—free her from Voldemort, in one way or another. Somehow. And that's when he realized... he had that freedom this very moment. Sure, Voldemort was whispering commands in his ear as though he were his toy, but he also gave him the chance to use his wand against Y/N. But what if he could use his wand on someone else...
With a determined expression on his face and a newfound hope coursing through his veins, he gripped tightly onto his wand, formulating the risky, spontaneous plan in his head.
His grey eyes trail towards Y/N who instantly locks eye contact with him—as though they were psychologically communicating in secret. Creasing his blond eyebrows, he suddenly turns around and glares at Voldemort dead in the eye, casting a spell on him. "(insert spell HELP can't use stupefy again right)!"
That was all it took for Voldemort to get startled—to flinch one moment, which disrupted the spell that was restricting Y/N from moving. Hastily picking up her wand that had fallen to the ground, she overhears Draco yelling one simple word, letting her know exactly what they had to do.
"RUN!"
The two teenagers sped off for shelter, rushing towards what was left of the Hogwarts castle. Immediately after they made a run for it, multiple Death Eaters chased after them upon seeing them escape. Spells were casted, words were uttered, but ultimately, they miraculously managed to fend them off and make it to the already destroyed castle. Panting, they leaned against the wall, holding tightly onto each other. They connected their eyes, multiple emotions evident on their face.
"Draco," Y/N breathes shakily. "I can't believe you just... I can't believe we just did th-"
And that was when Draco cut her off with a kiss, as they held onto each other, knowing that this could very well be their last day together.

slytherin boy‘s | how they get turned on
headcanon - this is my opinion, you do not have to agree with what i write
contains: mattheo riddle, theodore nott, draco malfoy, enzo bershire
— Mattheo Riddle —

everywhere and any time!! The list is long!
when you two are in class and you start concentrating so you slightly chew on the end of your pencil
when you smile and laugh - he would be so happy when you are carefree
when you wear his favorite color. Underwear or normal clothes, it doesnt matter. It makes you look so good in his eyes that he just wants to rip them off
when you get mad - damn, espacially when you talk in your native language
when you wouldn‘t talk to him so he would try and apologize while slowly kissing up and down your neck and shoulders
when you sat on his lap when no seats would be available. You all sat down in the train to hogwarts and as your friends saw that there was no space for you they started to scoop togethet but you would just let your ass fall down on mattheo‘s lap, smiling innocently at him
when you got turned on somehow while the two of you would stand seperated at a party, talking to your friends and he could see your desperate gaze at him
when you got drunk – he would never do anything with you under the influence but still he would get turned on on your loose tounge and words plus your touchy hands
when you do something sexy but smile innocently. Like you would bend over in class when he sat behind you, picking something up and then look over your shoulder back to him, smiling. Or you would make a ponytail, taking your time with it and again – smiling at him innocently, reminding him of how you got ready before –
when you got jealous. It wasn‘t just the fact that you got mad and that alone already turned him on, but he felt how much he meant to you and that he‘s important to you making him go even more ferral
when you took control – he was alway used to do things on his own, being tense all the time so when you did he felt so under your control it turned him on – especially in the bedroom
when you got into a fight with someone talking shit about him being the son of voldemort so you would come back with a bloody nose knocking on his door – just the tought of you hitting someone for him
— Theodore Nott —
Tumblr media
when you talked to him a lot or read to him so he could stare at your soft plump lips moving
when you‘d come back from some sort of training, all sort of sweaty, out of breath and red face - got him going crazy
when you corrected him. The two of you would study together and after already staring at your lips he would raise his eyebrows at you correcting him. "oh so you‘re all smart and all shit now yeah? Let‘s see what you can use your smart mouth else for."
you touching him softly so he would get goosebumps all over his body
when you wear his clothes – especially after waking up and you just wearing his way too big shirts with only underwear under it but also when you would wear his hoodies on the weekends so everyone could see you‘re his
— Draco Malfoy —
Tumblr media
when you wear his initials on a necklace he bought you or on your ring so everyone could see you belong to him
when you are confident in your own skin, chin always up. Showing everyone not to mess with you – he would be so proud too
when you would whisper gossip in his ear but not because of the gossip but because of the whispering and your hot breath on his ear
he always felt touch starved even If he‘s not so any kind of touching him would turn him on. Even something like you two laughing and joking and you touching his arm
— Enzo Berkshire —
Tumblr media
to me he is the most shy of the group I‘m sorry ya‘ll i know there is a lot discussion about it
when he hears you ask him If you can be on top, riding him. His breathing would get heavier at the tought
generally when you are more dom and he‘s more sub – it would turn him on so much seeing you in control of hin
when you get touchy in front of his friends on a night out, party or just a little gathering – his cheeks would flame up so badly but at the same time it feels like a forbidden fruit to him in front of people
when you massage his scalp – he would get goosebumps all over his body and bite his lip while trying to control himself – failing of course
when you come back from some kind of training too like Theodore but also If he watches you and hears you groan in frustration – voice kink
when you kiss him – yes, so that‘s often. And no matter where you two are also.. in class, with his friends, his or your family
when you do things like grabbing his shirt to pull him in to kiss him, whispering and nibbling his ear, getting him flustered on porpuse with saying dirty things in his ear while friends are around
but also If you let him take completly control of you all tied up giving you to him

He'd seen her come in a couple times, but never made actual contact with her. She would come in and occasionally speak to Hermione Granger when they crossed paths. Other than that, she typically went into just about any office that had an open door. American, judging by the sound of her voice — she was loud when she wanted to be. But the one place Draco never thought he'd see that woman was in the one room where no Witch or wizard stepped foot in unless it was required. The Wizengamot. He'd be honest and say that every single time he was there, he wasn't exactly scouring the crowds to see who had come and who hadn't. She may have always been there and he just didn't notice before.
The height of the war had finally come down, and it only took a short amount of four years. In those four years, Draco, along with many other former Death Eaters, were put through the ringer by the Ministry and that was just the lucky portion who managed to avoid Azkaban. Those who were immediately sentenced had no future pending whatsoever except for inevitable death. As terrible as the situation had been, Draco was aware that he had been very lucky to have been sentenced with those Death Eaters and other war criminals on trial because it meant that somewhere in the future, he would have a future.
Plus, he also got to be with some friends. Those without the mark but aligned with the purebloods. He, Blaise Zabini and Pansy Parkinson were somehow together through it all. Blaise for aiding him, and Pansy for — honestly, Draco didn't even know why the Ministry kept going after Pansy. He never bothered to ask.
The trio were summoned at whatever hour the Ministry wanted, expected, for reasons that usually went to interviews, questioning, interrogations and all that stuff. They were also given surprise home visits that usually followed the same line. At first, it was nonstop. There was no break ever. Now, apparently, they were reaching the end and although no one would admit it, there was a growing giddiness (something quite alarming to realize for these three). Today was one of those last summoning dates.
And that was where Draco would see the young woman again. He was just in too much of a shock to really notice her at first. The same went with Blaise and Pansy. They had just heard one of the worst news ever.
"What do you mean we have to visit MACUSA?" Pansy was the one who broke the silence after the news was delivered. "I'm sorry, last time I checked, I wasn't American."
None of the witches and wizards sitting on the stands paid the girl any attention. They merely went on to say that each of the accused would have a date with MACUSA to answer for crimes linked to some catastrophe in '97.
"This is insane," Blaise muttered, his glare sweeping over the lines of authority. "Nothing we did ever left the bloody continent."
"I did nothing," Draco said, plain and simple. "I am guilty of many things but here," he pointed. "In England. I never left the bloody place. What do I have to answer for at MACUSA?"
"They will explain," answered one of the witches, "But I will tell you all this. It is one of the last assignments of your sentence. MACUSA is demanding your presence for a couple days and you must answer."
"Where the hell are we even supposed to stay? It's multiple days!" Pansy's question brought up a series of chats amongst the witches and wizards. Apparently, no one had yet to think about that. "You froze most of our assets!"
Enter the unknown woman.
"I can do it." Her voice was clear, articulate, and certain. Heads turned in her direction. She had her hand raised in the air (that also held a quill) when she stood up from her seat. Her other hand held a parchment.
She had shoulder length brown hair and dark eyes. She was dressed pretty normally — muggleborn-ly — to be anywhere near the Ministry. Black pantsuit and nothing else. And she was American.
There were a bit more murmurs from the witches and wizards on the bleachers until one of them called upon her.
"Miss, uh, Adler?" The witch who had asked seemed to be checking a piece of parchment in front of him.
"Lana Adler," the woman nodded, clearing her throat as she gathered her hands together in front of her. "Testimonial writer of MACUSA. I've been here for a lot of your young offenders' cases?"
"Yes, yes," the witch motioned Lana to pause as she continued skimming her parchment of information. "And in all this time you've been a silent writer. What's changed?"
Lana seemed to expect the question and she supposed the trio in question were also wondering the same thing. Her eyes flickered down on them for a moment while she explained. "I attended Hogwarts with them. Same year. Same House."
'A fellow Slytherin!?' The same thought ran through Draco's, Blaise's and Pansy's heads as they glanced at each other. Not a single one could place the girl.
However, the streak of information did strike the interest of their superiors. Lana waited patiently as they broke into another set of murmurs and whispers.
"Miss Adler," the same witch as before called, "Did you ever cross paths with them?"
"No," Lana shook her head, "Uh, we…never really crossed paths. I started Hogwarts in my 5th year. You'll understand that by that point in a student's life, friends have already been made and it's very hard to get into an established group."
"Well then, why would you want to take this assignment? You understand they would be released under your custody, right?"
Lana nodded. "Two reasons, actually."
"Speak them."
"One, I am a researcher for our community. It's my job to research the impossible and I have a theory I'd like to try out. Oh, and second" — Lana smiled pretty smugly for the trio's taste — "because no one else will do this job for free." Her smile widened at the reactions of her three fellow Slytherins. Her eyes then shifted up at the stand towards the rest of the witches and wizards. "They have been accused of many things concerning the endangerment of muggles. I live well and comfortably but I do so around muggles. I would say that before releasing them completely, you find out whether or not they are capable of true change."
"And you would make yourself responsible for any liabilities?" The witch asked her directly.
"Mhm," Lana nodded. "I will be taking my own precautions of course so I will need some leeway to exercise that right."
"Miss Adler, you need to understand what you're asking here."
"Oh, I'm not 'asking'," Lana said, "As I have said before, nobody else will want to do this. Let the punishment fit the crime. One of their crimes, anyways."
It was uncanny the way that Draco, Blaise and Pansy could deadpan in the same way. They could see the Slytherin in her alright, but it didn't mean that they had to like her.
And they did not like her.
And yet, Lana Adler was granted her request.
~0~
It was the day of and they still couldn't believe it. Hell, they were in MACUSA, the real deal, and they still couldn't believe it. For the next 72 hours, they would be at the mercy of some—
"Well, it's about damn time."
They recognized her voice right away. Lana waited for the trio just a few doors down from the office they'd been kept in ever since they arrived. Just like before, Lana was dressed completely muggle — a black blouse, dark jeans and a gray and black plaid coat. Professional, sure, but definitely a muggle.
She smiled at the three, or rather smirked. "I've been waiting for you."
"More like we've been waiting for you," Pansy sneered, her brows furrowing.
Lana's smirk didn't wane. "Caught me. I was in another meeting. Jobs, you know…or do you?"
"Can we just get this over with?" Draco said, rolling his eyes. He didn't think he could take the squabbles of either woman. There was already too much to digest from the conference they just walked out from.
"Certainly," Lana nodded. "Follow me." She turned around and started leading the way down the hallway. "So, how are you liking MACUSA so far?"
"Bloody peachy, of course," Blaise couldn't wait to say.
Lana chuckled. "C'mon, it definitely beats the underground scheme the Ministry's got going on. Talk about unsanitary — eugh!" She shuddered. "At least MACUSA gets an entire building above the ground."
"Yeah, how do you keep the muggles out anyways?" Pansy asked out of sheer curiosity.
"Special doorman, of course. He recognizes most of us but those that are new have to know somebody in order to get in. But from outside, the building looks perfectly normal."
"And so what do you do about the strays?"
Lana snorted. "Muggles are not pets, Miss Parkinson."
"You better call me Pansy," the girl snapped. "Making me sound like my fucking mother..."
"Ooh, got it," Lana snickered. "Does that go for you two as well?" She looked over her shoulders towards Draco and Blaise. She translated their grunts as a 'yes' and moved on.
Lana spent the rest of the way to the entrance explaining the kinks of MACUSA as well as where they would be reporting when they were summoned. It appeared that each one had been summoned at a different date and hour, the latter still undefined until they got a proper letter later.
"That's fine. We can apparate the summoned and then the rest of us can go make a day of it or something."
Somebody scoffed behind her. Lana rolled her eyes at their weak attempt to mutter.
"If you're going to talk behind my back, at least have the decency to do it right." She turned around and met the three with a smile.
"Do you ever stop smiling?" Pansy looked more or less disgusted.
"Why? Is it bothering you?"
"Yes," all three of them had answered.
Lana's smile grew from ear to ear. They collectively groaned, and she laughed. "How you didn't see that coming gives you a terrible reputation as former Death Eaters."
"Do you think you're funny or something?" asked Draco.
"I don't know — sometimes," shrugged Lana. "Plus, I don't know if you've heard, but we're finally safe."
"Ish," Pansy didn't hesitate to say. "Nobody is safe forever."
"Very true words, Pansy, but that's a problem for the Aurors, not us. And now, here is how this is going to work," Lana stopped them at the top of the stairs leading down to the entrance. "Once we step outside this building, you are under my watch. I am responsible for anything you do so if you try to do anything rest assured I will drop kick your asses and before you tell me I can't do it" — she smiled tightly — "don't be fooled. I was at the battle of Hogwarts and I took down my fair share of Death Eaters."
"We get it, you're a badass," Blaise rolled his eyes.
"That's not the point I was making. I just meant I can put up a fight. Besides, it's in your best interest not to fuck this up, honestly. If you step out of line, I report it back to MACUSA and the Ministry and bye, bye future. That scary enough for you?"
"Honestly, a bit," Pansy said as she glanced at her friends to gauge their feelings towards the matter.
"Good. You wouldn't be humans if you weren't. So, here's how it's going to work. You're going to come live with me for a few days. Your magic is on a strict need basis. That means if you don't need to do magic, don't do it. I have full authorization to hold your wands if I even suspect that you're thinking of doing something. And if you try to apparate away from me, it's game over for your entire future."
"So we're tied to you like a bunch of dogs?" Draco was already scowling from ear to ear. "Thanks for clearing that up for us."
"It's either that or you get a comfy cell in MACUSA to rest for the next few days," Lana said, shrugging, "Sorry."
"But are you really?"
Lana's smile said it all.
"It's not that bad. I have cable." Lana turned and headed down the stairs.
"What the fuck is a that? A leash?" frowned Blaise. He and the others followed Lana down the steps.
Laughing, Lana looked back at them. "No. I'll show you when we get home. Are you guys hungry? There's a good restaurant we can stop by before heading home. I can send your things to my place so you don't have to carry it."
"We don't have any money," Pansy said, scowling even wider than Draco, if that were possible. She presumed Lana was taunting them considering everyone else typically did these days.
Lana just chuckled. "I know. It's on me. And it's really good, I swear. You guys like chocolate?"
The three looked at each other, simultaneously trying to decide what the hell Lana's game was.
Lana shook her head. "It's a genuine question! I'm a sweets kind of girl. If you guys like chocolate mousse for dessert, follow me." She motioned the trio to follow her and headed for the entrance doors. Slowly, the others walked after her, still mighty confused and wary.
~0~
Neither of the three would admit it, but the restaurant was actually really good. Their food was delicious and the atmosphere, although slightly louder than what they were used to, was nice as well. It was almost easy to forget that it was completely muggle. They ate nicely, silently.
Lana abhorred the silence, so she endeavored to end it. "If you guys hate it, you can say it," she said and reached for her glass of lemonade.
"We don't hate it," said Pansy rather flatly. "But you don't expect us to make conversation, right?"
"I wouldn't mind it."
"Look, Alana—"
"My name is Lana—"
"—we get what you're doing. Everyone's done this to us already. It's a kickback seeing us down like this. Have your fun, but don't expect us to pretend and play house."
"Um, okay," Lana's smile seemed on the verge of breaking into a laugh. The sight was not appealing to the other three.
"Is it too late to pick the cell?" Blaise asked his friends.
"Guys, I'm not — I'm not here to make fun of you," Lana said.
"Then why are you doing all this?" asked Draco. "You mentioned a research — about what exactly?"
"Not about you, don't you worry your pretty little blonde hair about it," Lana replied. "I said it in the beginning, I'm a researcher and a testimonial writer for MACUSA. I go to court hearings where we are involved and I report back about what I heard and saw. I also take some of the cases on."
"So you have two jobs?" Pansy nearly shuddered.
"Sort of, yeah," nodded Lana. "I also go to school — a muggle college. I want to be a lawyer for their world."
Draco was stuck on another detail rather than the 'two jobs' bit. "Why would you want to work for muggles?"
"Because they're fascinating," Lana said, shrugging. "I'm a half blood but my father insisted that my mother give up that muggle side of her so that I wouldn't, uh, get confused." She rolled her eyes.
"Confused about what?" Draco asked.
"About how to live, apparently," Lana said, scoffing. "Apparently, he thought that my brain was too little to comprehend that, yes, I can use electricity but I can also use candles to light my room. It's like he was afraid that me learning 2 different languages would confuse me and inhibit me."
"And did it?"
Lana smiled strangely at Draco. She didn't expect the series of questions from him, but if it meant keeping the silence away she'd take it. "No," she said, shaking her head. "All it did was separate my family. My parents divorced when I was ten and I ended up living with my dad. He didn't win, though. My mother always wrote to me, helping me out, giving me perspectives. And trust me, you need a lot of those to function the right way. You can't live in a bubble because sooner or later bubbles pop."
And just like that, silence fell over the group. Neither would admit it, but Lana's words struck a chord of the trio's reality. Draco, in particular, didn't like how close it was to his situation.
"You're not a Legilimens, are you?" He found himself asking. Seeing Lana's confusion brought a bit of relief to him.
"Um, no?"
"Okay," Pansy tucked some of her hair behind her ears, "if we're going to do this, then I gotta know how the hell do you know us?"
"Oh, I don't," Lana said, shrugging. "I mean — yes, we did sort of meet but you guys — we were never—"
"You ramble," Pansy said flatly, "It's annoying."
Lana lowered her head for a moment to keep herself from getting aggravated. You signed up for this, she reminded herself. After a few minutes, she looked back up with a smile. "Fine. Pansy, remember that time a Niffler bit your finger in our Care of Magical Creatures class?"
"Eugh, how could I forget?" Pansy frowned. "That thing nearly bit my finger off!" That was the last time she wore any kind of rings to that class.
"Remember the girl who ripped the Niffler off you?"
"I think so?" Pansy said as she thought back to the painful moment.
"Yeah, well, that was me," Lana pointed at herself. "You're welcome."
"Ooh…" Pansy was now remembering that a young brunette girl had come to her aid as none of her other friends had been brave enough to touch the biting Niffler. "Um, thanks…I guess…"
Lana chuckled lightly. "You're welcome. Blaise, I met you at Slughorn's club."
"You were in the club?" Blaise said incredulously.
"Mhm," nodded Lana. "He invited me because I was one of the foreign exchange students and my father worked for MACUSA. I'm also the one who shoved Cormac McLaggen down the stairs when Slughorn had his party."
"Ah…" A great big smirk spread across Blaise. Now he remembered Lana. McLaggen was the notorious player who had tried to entice a brunette Slytherin girl until she angrily pushed him down the stairs and caused him a concussion. "Didn't you get detention for that?"
"Totally worth it," Lana said automatically, and Blaise laughed. "And you know what? McLaggen didn't bother me again. So worth it."
Blaise seemed to laugh even more, a true sight for Pansy and Draco. They looked bewildered at him.
"And Draco, we met at the World Cup," Lana said afterwards.
"We did?" Draco couldn't place her, but he honestly wasn't trying that hard.
"Yes," Lana nodded. "My dad was invited by the Ministry — the Minister himself — and he brought me along. We sat behind you on the Top Box. We literally shook hands."
Draco looked at Lana blankly. "I don't—"
"You were insulting the Weasleys in front of you and I flicked you on the back."
Draco now remembered her perfectly. He felt that harsh finger scrape the back of his neck, and he remembered the brunette girl smiling innocently at him. "You owe me for that," he said with a frown.
"And I think you owe the Weasleys some therapy."
There was a mini stare-off between the two that lasted several minutes. Finally, Lana straightened in her seat and asked the group if they wanted to order anything else. No one wanted anything else so Lana got up to go pay for their dinner.
"She's fucking weird," Pansy said while the three waited for Lana outside the restaurant, "But I guess she's better than some of the other people we've had to speak with."
"I'm beginning to like her," Blaise said, "You should've seen her with McLaggen. She had no shame."
"Good," Pansy crossed her arms. "That guy was a nuisance. Tried to get anyone with a heartbeat in bed. Maybe she's not that bad at all." She glanced at Draco to hear his opinion but found hin staring after Lana with a strange look on his face. "What's up with you?"
"Nothing," Draco muttered. There was a slight marrow in his eyes that Pansy noticed, the kind he made when he was thinking about something.
Lana came back a few minutes later and told them they were going home — her home. They moved down to a lonely alleyway to apparate on her block.
"I thought you were all about the 'muggle way'," Blaise seemed to be poking fun at her. Lana had led them out of the new alley into her block.
Lana laughed lightly. "The beauty of living in both worlds is that I get to use each side's advantages. New York City is a filth city to drive in. I apparate most of the time if I'm not around muggles."
She brought them inside a tall building, straight into an elevator. She explained she liked to apparate a few buildings down and not directly inside her building to avoid being caught.
"I thought MACUSA enforced the idea of living away from muggles," Draco said. He distinctly remembered his father mentioning that rule various times. Lucius loved the idea and felt that the Ministry should follow in suit.
"Mm, they do," Lana muttered. "But it's not a law."
The elevator stopped at the 7th floor and the group walked out. The hallway was pretty empty but as they passed by apartment doors, they could hear some of the muggles inside. There was music, loud voices sounding like conversations and perhaps a radio somewhere?
Lana stopped them on a door marked 7H. She forewarned them not to expect a mansion by any means before letting them inside.
It was true that the place was no mansion, but the trio were surprised to find a decent apartment inside. There was a spacious living room with a balcony on its right side. They could see the kitchen tucked on the right side, towards the end. A hallway was set in the middle where three more doors stood.
Lana dumped her bag on the coffee table and then turned to her guests, hands on her hips. "Well, let me hear it. No mansion, no house elves by the way, and no ridiculously long garden."
"Not bad," Pansy was the first to speak, and her words left Lana a little bit dumbfounded.
"I'm sorry, what was that?"
Pansy was walking towards the balcony already. The view was enticing. "I said it's not bad. You could do with, like, one of those penthouses I've heard about."
Lana's brows raised but she honestly couldn't argue with that comment. She would love to live in a penthouse!
"What the hell is that?" Blaise asked suddenly. He and Draco were staring at the television set on the wall.
Lana laughed. "Oh, that's gonna be one of your favorites, boys. It's a television — TV? — and it's like your local radio except you can see who's talking and what's happening."
"How does it work?" Blaise asked, tilting his head as he scanned the television for any apparent buttons.
"It's pretty easy. All you have to do is—"
"Alana, there's someone at your door." Pansy stared at the owl fluttering on the other side of the balcony.
Lana groaned. "My name is Lana." She walked over to the balcony and unlocked the door, sliding it open to let the owl in.
It dropped off a series of letters on her round kitchen table then landed next to the pile for a little break. Lana walked over to the kitchen and picked up a few treats off her counter. She dropped them next to the owl and started going through the mail.
She picked up the one sent directly from MACUSA and opened it up. "Hm, it's a summoning date and time." Her eyes flickered up at the trio, landing specifically on one of them. "Draco, you've been summoned first."
"That's not a sur—"
"Twice, actually."
Draco fell silent for a few minutes. He went through an initial anger as usual when he received one of those impromptu summons, but hearing that it was twice irritated him beyond belief.
Lana could tell as much how he felt about it. She cleared her throat and went further down the letter. "You'll go first, tomorrow at 8am. Don't worry, we can apparate there and then I'll head to class—"
"Oh, thanks, because I was so worried," Draco drawled with as much sarcasm as he could. Lana didn't bother with him.
"Pansy, you'll go the day after, at 10am. Blaise, you'll go in the afternoon tomorrow. Draco, you'll go again the day after tomorrow…" Lana bit on her bottom lip, meeting Draco's gaze once again, "At 8am."
Both Pansy and Blaise sniggered beside their friend. Draco seethed and with reasons that even Lana wouldn't deny were good ones. He was essentially going to be questioned for multiple hours on both days, no doubt longer than Pansy and Blaise combined. There was a clear target in MACUSA's eyes and it had to be frustrating.
"You don't even need to say it," Lana told him, pursing her lips together as she folded the letter in her hands. "But it's very fair to curse. I'd do it."
"Oh, he does it," Pansy said with a smirk. "Nonverbally too. Spells included."
Lana's eyes widened for a moment. "Okay, well…I would like to remind you that I am just the messenger and not the person who assigned this…schedule." She lowered the letter to the table, deciding to leave it at that.
Draco still said nothing, but his hard face spoke volumes. Lana wouldn't bother again but for different reasons this time.
"Well, there's a few more letters here for you guys."
"For us?" Pansy made a face. "Who would write to us all the way over here?"
"Judging by the same surnames, I'm gonna go with your parents," Lana said as she handed Pansy her letter. "They were let known of your location in case anything happened."
"Oh…" Pansy still didn't seem very excited.
Lana handed Blaise a letter addressed to him. "Don't bite my fingers off," she told Draco when she handed him his letter.
"I don't find you funny," he said, snatching the letter out of her hands.
"My friends think I'm hilarious," Lana replied. "Good luck Blaise. Your roommate is an absolute ray of sunshine." She then told them they would be taking the guest room which was the first door on the right of the hallway. "Pansy, you can have my room. But I will be sleeping there as well."
"Yay," Pansy said with a weak wave of her hand.
"Oh, Draco, you have another letter," Lana said when she saw another envelope under her pile.
"Is it from MACUSA?" He could already see it now. He would be summoned for a third day at an even earlier hour.
"Uh, nope," Lana said when she got a look on the cover. "But I do remember this name — well, her sister's name anyways." She held the envelope out to him. "It's from Astoria Greengrass."
For some other reason, that still didn't bring anything but a scowl from Draco. He snatched the envelope from Lana's hand, even harder than the last one. He stormed into the hallway, disappearing into the room she directed him and Blaise seconds prior.
"I didn't — this time, I really didn't mean to annoy," Lana said to Pansy and Blaise, her eyes wide. "I mean, I'll take credit when I'm intentionally trying to annoy the hell out of someone but this time I…"
"It's not you," Pansy said, shrugging. "Nobody really knows what goes through Draco's head half the time. Most of the time..." Her brows furrowed after putting more thought into it, "...all the time."
Lana looked over at Blaise who seemed to agree with Pansy. "Aren't you guys supposed to be friends or something?"
"It's complicated," Blaise said.
"I get 'complicated' but this feels like it's more. You guys were inseparable at school."
"It's custom more than friendship sometimes," Pansy said. "Our families have known each other since before we were born so naturally they were going to pair us up with each other."
"So…you guys aren't friends?" Lana tried following but her brain was hurting already.
"It's complicated, Alana. Good night."
"My name is Lana," groaned Lana as Pansy headed into the hallway.
"I wouldn't bother with that," Blaise advised her.
Lana's head whipped in his direction. "But it's my name!"
Blaise shrugged. "Not anymore."
Lana let out a growl. "You guys are so irritating!"
"And you let us into your house," Blaise smirked. "Now who's the crazy one?"
"Go to sleep!" Lana pointed at the hallway, frustrated. With a quiet laugh, Blaise bid her goodnight and disappeared into his room.
Lana shook her head. Maybe I was crazy for doing this. She wouldn't dwell on it; what was done was done. Instead, she focused on what she still had to do before going to sleep.

when presented with a night all to yourself, all your roommates gone on holiday, you decided on a bit of much-needed self care.
anticipation made your fingers twitch as you hurried back to your room after finishing the day’s commitments, excited to finally have some alone time.
your clothes were shed quickly, tossed halfhazardly into a basket at the end of the bed, unwilling to take the time to hang them back up and line your shoes up beside the door.
without any hesitation, you sank down onto the bed, on top of the dark green comforter. it was smooth against your bare skin, cool from being untouched all day — sending chills down your arms and legs.
your eyes fell closed as you rested back against the pillows, exhaling the stress of the day. your fingers drifted downward, slowly trailing along your sternum and the curve of your belly, down between your thighs.
you were already wet from an entire day of anticipation, knowing this is what you’d come home to. your fingertips delicately slipped between drenched folds, touching the soft, velvety skin. your other hand rose to your chest, playing with your nipples, rolling and tugging until you were practically grinding into your own palm. the throbbing soreness was briefly soothed as your fingers pressed inside, curling forward. it only took a few moments before the ache was back, your fingers not quite reaching deep enough to satisfy the anxious buzz in your body. you tried to relax, ignoring the rising frustration. you needed to get off, but your body refused to cooperate and it only became more difficult as you grew more stressed.
“hey, I was— oh.”
you’d sworn you locked the door, but there stood draco malfoy, staring with his jaw open at your naked form, fingers buried in your sopping cunt.
“shut the door!” you hissed, horrified as he closed it behind him, staying in the room with you instead of sodding off to mind his own business.
“draco, get the hell—”
“do you need some help?” he questioned, biting his lip as his pants grew tighter. his eyes were dark as they took in the sight of you, angelic and unholy all at once.
you slowly nodded, giving into your own desperation, helpless on your own. his bag dropped off his shoulder as he made his way around to the side of the bed, slipping in behind you. you allowed draco to manhandle you between his legs, your naked back resting against his chest, wrinkling his perfect white button down.
“just relax, princess,” he purred into your hair, prying your legs open and draping them over his.
you hadn’t even realized you’d closed your legs — shy before the classmate you’d always fancied. your head was spinning now, lying naked on top of him, your mind scrambling to catch up with reality as he kissed your neck and gently groped your breasts, sending sharp shocks down to the base of your belly.
“oh.”
the soft moan that fell from your lips was involuntary, a primal reaction to the feeling of his fingertips finding your clit, warming you from the inside out. you felt him smile against the underside of your jaw, pleased with himself for pulling such filthy noises from you.
“that feel good? answer me.”
“y-yes, draco,” you whined, arching your back off of him as his fingers pumped in and out of you, the other hand still drawing circles on your clit.
“I can feel you squeezing me, go ahead and let go,” he encouraged, curling his fingers forward into your g-spot.
your back arched his chest and you drew your knees up as you came hard, a thousand tiny explosions going off in your body. you trapped draco’s hand between your legs, every muscle tensing as he cradled you, slowly stroking you through the waves of your orgasm.
he smiled when you collapsed against him, out of breath and muscles weak. a wave of his wand cleaned up the impressive mess you’d made at the mercy of his touch. you basked in the relief that you’d craved all day, struggling to stay awake in his arms. he pulled a blanket over you, settling down, letting you get the rest you needed.
