Tumblr media
You begged Draco to agree to you two going to the slytherin ball. “Y/n, you know I’m not a social person. I’m already around those bloody people enough in class.”
“Draco please.” you begged, batting your eyelashes. Draco pursed his lips, and exhaled through his nose. “Fine.” a reluctant Draco responded. You giggle with excitement, clapping your hands. You quickly get up on your tip-toes to kiss him on his cheek. Draco gives a small smile, but you can tell he regretted his decision. “I’m gonna go get ready.” You beamed.
You slipped on a very short, dark green dress. It was a bishop sleeved dress, with a cut out above your stomach, with a knot tying the fabric together. You put on dark grey tights, and black heels. You smoothed the dress down your waist, and smiled in the mirror. Draco came into the bedroom, and leaned in the doorframe. You didn’t notice him for a moment, not until he spoke. “Melvins beard.” He muttered. You turned around, facing him and smiled. “Do you like it?” you implored him.
“Like it? You look..ravishing.” Draco purrs. He walks closer to you, his big hands settle on your waist. He started you up and down as if his eyes were glued to you. “You know,” you began. “You look quite sharp yourself.” Draco was wearing his all black suit, with the Slytherin pendent on the left side of his chest, glimmering in the candle light in your bedroom.
𓆙
You and Draco arrived to the ballroom. Everyone in your house had already arrived, all in their own cliques talking with drinks in their hand, presumably pumpkin juice. Draco has his hand in your waist, nodding to his Quidditch team members. Some of them, happened to lay eyes on you. You assumed Draco had noticed their eyes of hunger for his girl, because he mumbled something about hexing them before they can even think about their next practice.
You spot your friends, Daphne Greengrass with Pansy Parkinson. “Draco, I’m gonna go say hi to the girls, okay?” You announced. Draco looked down on you with concern. “Y/N, I don’t know if that’s a good idea.” Draco expressed, his eyes now gazing the crowd full of Slytherins, mostly observing the male classmates. You huffed. “I can handle myself, Draco.” You begged. “Fine. But stay where I can see you.” Draco grumbled. “You sound like my dad.” You muttered back to him as you were walking away.
You tap Daphne on the shoulder, she turned around and gasped. “Look at the hottie of the night!” she beamed at you. Pansy smiled and gave you a small wave, which you returned. You and the girls gossiped about peers, specifically about who they were with, or, more importantly; the ones who arrived alone. That's when Daphne's eyes land on Theodore Nott.
"I've heard interesting things about him, Theodore." Daphne noted. "Yeah? Like what?" Pansy questioned Daphne. "Just that he can be very manipulative, almost like he puts a spell on everyone he talks to," Daphne replied. You tilted your head in curiosity at Daphne. "A spell?" You prodded. Daphne nodded in response. "Nobody has ever said 'no' to him, I don't think he knows what it means." Daphne said in a shudder. "Not a good dude. I mean, I know us Slytherin's don't have an exactly shiny reputation; but that's not what I personally stand for." Daphne asserted. You and Pansy nodded in agreeance. You took a moment to look for Draco; you seemed to be in a very interesting conversation with Blaise Zabini. You smiled at the sight of Draco actually enjoying himself. "Shall we go get drinks?" Pansy suggested. You and Daphne nodded, and you all went to the bar.
𓆙
It was about 30 minutes into your totally-not-spiked pumpkin juice, Daphne and Pansy went off to the restroom, when you felt a tap on your shoulder. You turned around and jolted in your seat as you noticed who it was. Theodore Nott. He smiled at you, it was a sour smile. Not friendly or genuine. Mischief was behind it. "Theodore, is it?" You proceeded cautiously. "My my, I am surely worthy if someone like you knows my name." Theodore said maliciously. "Well, that depends of the reason." You snapped back, turning around towards your drink, your back now facing him. Almost immediately, Theodore gripped the bottom of your seat and spun you back around. "Excuse me!" You cautioned, as you were gripping the bottom of your seat to steady yourself, they landed on top of Theodore's, who took it as an opportunity to roughly grasp them. You try to pull away, but his grip doesn't weaken. "Hands off!" You spat, struggling out of his grip, he finally lets go, trying to not cause a scene. "Y/N, I always, always get what I want, you know." Theodore said with a tone of confidence. You rolled your eyes. "Not from me, I already have someone, thanks." You replied. Theodore chuckled. "That excuse won't keep me from you, doll."
"I'm not your doll," you hissed.
"Then who do you belong to?" He questioned. "I would like to know who my competition is."
"Draco Malfoy, and don't bother. You don't even compare, 'doll'". You mocked. Theodore's eyes grew dark. "Now, baby, you're getting on my nerves. You'll regret getting on my nerves. I'm sure you've heard that too." Theodore threatened. You reach for your wand, that's tucked into your sleeve, but Theodore catches your hand. "Now now, let's not make a scene. Just come with me quietly and there won't be any trouble." He stated, tightening his grip. You winced in pain, your eyes dart around the room, attempting to find your silver-haired hero. But he's no where to be seen. Theodore smiles, "He's not here to save you, hon."
"Doesn't matter, I'm not going with you." Your provoked. Theodore brings out his wand, and points it underneath your chin. "You want a bet?" He chuckles. Poison fumes from his mouth, your eyes fill up with tears. How were you going to get out of this one? "What you hear from me is true. And, you've pissed me off. The thing is, nobody knows what happens when you piss me off," Theodore warned, leaning closer to your face. You smell cigarettes off of his breath. "Most aren't able to tell anyone what's happened to them, love."
"Now, be a good girl and come with me." You reluctantly got up from your seat as he guided you to the exit, moving his wand towards the bottom of your back, in the middle, where no one can see. You almost make it to the exit, tears falling down your cheeks. Why isn't anyone noticing? Theodore's grip gets tighter and tighter as you get closer to the door. Then, like a miracle, Draco appears, seemingly out of nowhere. Relief washes over your body. "I believe she arrived with me." He growled. Veins along his arm were popping, his face was redder than you've ever seen. His sleeves were rolled up to his elbows. Everyone around you turned around in your direction, gasping, trying to hide behind each other. You try to run up to him but Theodore pulls you back, putting the wand back to your temple. "Don't you dare, she'll get it, I promise you." Theodore swore. Draco withdrew his wand. "Draco, don't!" You cried. "Yes, Draco" Theodore mocked your cry for your lover. "Listen to your slut." He said with poison on his tongue. "You've got a nasty one, Malfoy. I have to teach her respect. "
"You bastard." Draco cursed, lowering his wand slowly. "I'll take care of you without magic," Draco grumbled. Before you could even realize what happened, Daphne and Pansy came up behind Theodore, each girl on each side grip his arms and hold him in place. "What the bloody hell?!" Theodore stammered. "Petrificus Totalus!" Pansy exclaims., wand pointing at Theodore. In an instant, Theodore's body petrifies, and falls to the floor, you fly forward from his body almost falling on you. Theodore, paralyzed other than his eyes, is unable to say a word. Draco's arms wrap around you instantly. You've never been so grateful to be in his arms, you sob into his black suit, not caring of what those around you think. "I am so sorry I let you out of my sight," Draco said into your hair, starting to sob. "It's not your fault Draco, I wondered off, I-" "No." Draco interrupted. "It's his fault."
Draco walked up to Theodore's stiff body. He balled up his fist, each finger had a silver ring. He swung his fist that then collided into Theodore's fist. "Magic or not, I'll fucking kill you!" Draco spat at him, continuously swinging his fists at Theodore's face. You, Pansy and Daphne pull him off, he's huffing and puffing. Theodore was almost unrecognizable. Black, blue, and red. Same for Draco's knuckles. "This sick son of a bitch isn't worth it, Malfoy." Daphne said calmingly, gazing at Theodore's condition. "Y/N, are you okay?" Pansy asked concerningly, checking if you were hurt. You nodded your head gratefully, giving them both a hug and "thank you's". "Let's leave." You begged him. Draco stood still for a second, debating if he should attempt to wack Theodore again, Theodore's eyes were full of fear. Draco leans down to him. "Now you know what it's like to be someone's bitch." He mocked. He stood back up, held out his hand for yours. "Are you ready, love?" He asked lovingly. You nodded, and took his hand. You could hear a pin drop in the ball room. You nodded, "Yes, please."
𓆙
You and Draco made it up to your dorm room. You quietly made it to your bed, and sat down. your wrapped your arms around yourself. Draco looked at you apologetically. "Draco.." You began. "I am so happy things turned out the way they did, but," You looked up at him, but you were blinded by tears. "What if they didn't?" Draco took a deep breath, and came to sit down by you, wrapping his strong around you, pulling you close to him. "I don't know, I don't wanna know. I am so sorry, Y/N. I shouldn't have lost you, I can't forgive myself, I won't. I don't want to." He mumbled. He looked at you, tears forming in his silver eyes. "I love, you y/n. I am so sorry." Draco sniffled out. "I wanted to kill him. I wanted to end his life." Draco admitted. You nodded in understanding, and fiddled with your wand. After a moment, you flicked your wand at your door. "Muffliato," You commanded. Blue aura spreads out from your wand, and travels across your dorm room walls.
Draco looks at you with curiosity, but welcomes you when you straddle him, wrapping your legs around his waist, and your arms around his neck. "Draco.." You said softly. "He laid his hands on me," You choked out, starting to get upset again. You cleared your throat after a moment. "I want your touch." Draco's eyes widened. "Are you sure? After tonight I-" "Please" You interrupted, still softly. He gave you a soft smile before passionately kissing you, he wrapped one arm around your waist, the other traveling up your thigh, under your dress. You hummed in pleasure, and he smirked in the kiss.
The kiss slowly got more intense as you both settled yourself completely on your bed, you still on top of him. Draco pulled your dress up over your shoulders and head. "You're so beautiful, Y/N." Draco whispered to you, cupping your face in his large hands. "You're so important to me, I need to protect you better." You kissed him softly again, not wanting him to make himself feel even more guilty. The kiss becomes more intense again, but more quickly this time.
His tongue brushed against your bottom lip asking for permission to enter, which you granted. Draco's hands were simultaneously roaming your body, feeling every curve and surface. He got to the middle of your thighs causing you to moan in the kiss, which encouraged him more. He began inching towards your panties, which were wet, rubbing his fingers along the soaked fabric. "Draco, please." You moaned out in desperation. He looked at you and nodded. "I'll spoil you this time without teasing, love." Draco said, full with lust. He laid you back, and ducked his head to be in between your legs. He took your lace panties off with his teeth, teasingly slow. "Draco, you promised!" You said with frustration. Draco quickly finished taking them off, went went back to between your legs, right in front of your heat. You felt his tongue on your wet and needy bud. You moan his name, gripping his previously neat and smoothed back hair. His tongue go in circles, nice and slow. Perfect amount of pressure you needed. You feel his finger slowly tease your entrance. His finger slowly slides in, earning another moan from you. He pumps his one finger in and out of you while pleasuring your now swollen bud with his tongue. "Dray, I'm close" You moan out. "Come on baby, cum for me." Draco praised. Two fingers now, pumping even faster. His tongue assaulting your bud. His curled fingers are hitting your g-spot perfectly.
You begin to see stars, your legs are shaking. He keeps going somehow faster, when It feels impossible. You moan his name louder. Thank Merlin you casted that spell, you think. You feel the knot in your stomach grow. "Come on baby, cum on my face" Draco murmurs from between your legs, into your pussy. That was it. You finally released your juices. Draco licked every drop up, you squirm and buck your hips up and down from the overstimulation. Draco eventually comes back up to you, kissing your lips, and your forehead. You yawn, and your eyelids feel extremely heavy. "Your turn, you smirk up at him while he's holding himself over you. He chuckles softly. "Nah, babydoll. We can have that in the morning. You need some sleep." He says lovingly. You try to protest, but Draco already has you snuggled up to his chest.
The night ended on a good note, and you were just grateful to have Draco Malfoy. Very grateful indeed.

2nd person pov
You, yn Potter, Harry Potter's younger sister, were a Hufflepuff at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, known for your infectious happiness and bubbling personality, you were adored by everyone around you.
On this particular day, a feeling in your gut led you to Draco Malfoy's dormitory, where you found him in a state of despair.
You knocked lightly on the door, and when there was no response, you cautiously entered. To your surprise, Draco was sitting on his bed, with tears streaming down his face.
His usual facade of arrogance was nowhere to be seen, replaced by a vulnerability that tugged at your heartstrings.
"Draco," you called softly, stepping closer. "I thought I heard something. Are you alright?"
Draco looked up, his eyes filled with a mix of surprise and sadness. His usual snarkiness was replaced by a flicker of vulnerability. "What are you doing here, yn?" he growled, trying to mask his anguish.
Ignoring his question, you walked towards him, your eyes full of concern. You sat down beside Draco, determined not to let his icy demeanor push you away. "Draco, it's okay. You don't have to put on a mask with me. I'm here for you," you said, your voice filled with genuine compassion.
Draco's lip trembled, and a shaky breath escaped his lips. "You don't understand, yn I'm not a good person. I don't deserve someone like you," he muttered, his voice barely a whisper.
You reached out and gently placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "That's not true, Draco. I see beyond the mask you wear. I see someone who's hurting, someone who's struggling to find his place. You deserve happiness just as much as anyone else."
Draco's eyes met yours, searching for any sign of deception. All he found was sincerity. "But everything I've done, the choices I've made... I've hurt people, yn" he admitted, his voice filled with regret.
You grabbed Draco's hand firmly, knowing that your support was what he needed in that moment. "We all make mistakes, Draco. The important thing is to learn from them and try to become a better person. You still have time to change, to make amends and find
"Your the only thing that keeps me here the only person that makes me feel like I'm good enough"

Draco Malfoy x Pureblood Reader
Soooo my fyp is being all dracotok...again, so I made a Draco Malfoy scrabble^^. Hope you like it!!
Tumblr media
In the heart of wizarding society, where lineage and tradition reigned supreme, Draco Malfoy found himself navigating the intricacies of a world where expectations often outweighed personal desires. Amidst this backdrop, an unforeseen twist of fate introduced him to a captivating individual— Y/N Devereaux —a witch whose presence stood out amidst the polished facade of society.
Their initial encounters were steeped in formalities, exchanged pleasantries, and the rigid expectations of their families. Draco, with his familiar air of aloofness, and Y/N, graceful yet quietly defiant of societal norms, found themselves repeatedly crossing paths at various wizarding events.
At first, their interactions were confined to polite conversation, laced with the weight of their families' histories and the unspoken rules of their society. Yet, beneath the surface, there brewed an unspoken connection—a shared understanding that transcended the boundaries of their predetermined roles.
Y/N possessed a depth that intrigued Draco—a mix of resilience, intelligence, and an unwavering spirit that refused to be constrained by societal dictates. As Draco navigated the complexities of his own beliefs and the expectations placed upon him, Y/N's presence served as a gentle reminder of a world beyond the confines of tradition.
Despite the pressures surrounding them, a subtle shift occurred in their dynamic. Casual encounters turned into purposeful conversations, filled with shared laughter, moments of vulnerability, and glimpses of their true selves beneath the masks they wore for the world.
Draco found himself confiding in Y/N about his inner conflicts, the weight of family expectations, and the struggle to define his own path amidst the stringent guidelines set by his lineage. Y/N, in turn, shared her own aspirations, fears, and dreams—unveiling a side of herself that she rarely revealed to anyone.
As Draco and Y/N spent more time together, they discovered common interests and an unspoken understanding that blossomed into a genuine connection—one that neither could ignore nor deny. Their journey together wove a tale of finding solace and understanding in a world that demanded conformity.
"Another one of these insufferable gatherings. The same faces, the same pretenses."
"It can be tiresome, indeed Draco. But sometimes, within the monotony, there might be hidden moments worth discovering."
"Hidden moments? In a sea of shallow conversations and forced pleasantries?"
"Perhaps. But sometimes, beneath the expected facade, there are depths waiting to be explored you know."
Their conversations, once formal and veiled, gradually shifted to deeper topics, their words weaving a connection beyond the surface. Each encounter revealed more layers, unraveling the complexities of their personalities.
"I've never understood these traditions. They suffocate individuality, force us into roles we didn't choose."
"Traditions often clash with the desire for authenticity Draco dear, But within those constraints, there might be room to shape our own paths."
"You speak as if there's a way to break free from these chains love." He said, as he walked towards her, grabbing her hand and kissing it.
"Maybe not break free entirely, but navigate them in a way that lets us remain true to ourselves, You know that Love." She said as she carresses her love's cheek.
Their conversations, once tethered to societal expectations, ventured into contemplations of freedom and identity, fostering a mutual understanding of their shared struggle against the confines of their world.
"There's something different about you. You don't conform to the mold everyone expects."
"And neither do you, Draco. Beneath that exterior lies someone wrestling with their own desires and beliefs."
"I never expected to find someone who sees beyond the Malfoy name."
"Maybe that's because I look for the person behind the title, beyond the expectations."
Their dialogues, once laced with formality, evolved into honest exchanges, each word strengthening the connection between them.
"I've found comfort in our conversations,Y/N. I found comfort in You. You make these events bearable."
"You've provided solace for me in this world of constraints, Draco. Your perspective challenges my own. And I love that about you.“
"Perhaps there's a chance for something more between us."
"Maybe, in this world of rigidity, we've found a space to explore what could be."
Their talks, once cautious and restrained, hinted at a shared desire for something beyond the limitations of their circumstances.
Their journey together continued, conversations evolving from polite exchanges to shared confidences, laughter, and whispered hopes for a future where their love could thrive. Amidst clandestine meetings and stolen moments, their connection grew stronger, defying the boundaries imposed by their families and society.
Their love blossomed amidst clandestine meetings, stolen glances, and whispered conversations away from the prying eyes of their world. They navigated the delicate balance between their burgeoning affection and the pressures of their families' expectations, determined to carve out a path where their love could thrive.
In the end, what began as chance encounters in the meticulously crafted world of wizarding aristocracy evolved into a profound and unexpected love—one that dared to challenge tradition and rewrite the narrative of their predetermined lives. Draco and Y/N stood united, their love a testament to the resilience of the human heart against the confines of expectation and tradition. Together, they forged a future that honored their love, breaking free from the chains of society to embrace a life where their hearts could truly be at peace.

an old fic i wrote i thought i could repost it
summary: you are wearing your boyfriend sweater and you are scared he will be mad(?) idk how to write this (the plot is kinda stupid lmao) i’m really proud of this one
warnings: toxic ex boyfriend, crying, insecurities(?), fem!reader, what i wrote like this are memories from the previous boyfriend
word count: 612
You were in draco’s dorm sitting on a small crouch, close to the window looking outside, wearing a pair of black pants, fuzzy socks and your boyfriend hoodie, it was a cold day and his sweater were warmer and more comfortable.
It was your favorite one, sage green and really soft under your touch, it was obliviously bigger than yours because draco was so much taller than you.
You loved wearing his clothes, you could smell his scent on them and it felt like he was there with you even if he was busy somewhere else, though you never wore anything of his, you were scared he would be mad at you for wearing them like your previous boyfriend.
"hey" you said closing the door of your boyfriend bedroom behind you
he looked at you to head to toes "is that my shirt?" he asked putting down the book he was reading and getting up
"umm yes, i was cold and i saw it there so-" you were interrupted by a scoff
"so what? you took my shirt?"
"yes? i mean we are together, it's what other couples do"
"well in others couple the girlfriend can fit into their boyfriend sweater without ruin it" he said looking at you
you looked away from him "i- i didn't ruin it" there was tears forming in your eyes but you didn't wanted to cry in front of the boy
"you can keep it, i won't wear it again, i won't fit in it you enlarged it" he scoffed taking back the book and going back to reading
you were there standing in the room, a single tears rolled down your cheeks, once you realized what happened you turn back and left the room
you shook your thoughts away and tried to dry your tears with the sweater sleeve, you knew that draco would never leave you for just wearing his shirt, but nothing could stop your thoughts, hearing the door, you closed your fits to try to keep the tears in.
"hello sweetheart" said draco entering the room
seeing you with red eyes from crying he got closer to you and taking your chin in his hand he asked you "what's wrong? why are you crying?"
you just turned your head and kept looking outside.
You felt his gaze on you still worried about how he would react about the sweater thing
"you're wearing my shirt" he whispered with sweet smile while stoking your hair
"it looks good on you" he added
you turned and gave him a small smile "thank you dray"
"of course sweet girl" he pushed a lock of hair behind your hear
you took a big breath and then started explaining him why you were crying
"you thought i would be mad at you?"
you just nodded your head
"i would never be mad at you for something like that" he stoked your cheek and you leaned into his touch
"and it looks even better on you than it does on me" he said giggling
"mhh i don't think so you look really hot in this sweater" he smirked at you
"oh so you think i'm hot?"
"very much" you said leaning in for a kiss draco locked your lips with his and kissed you softly
"i love you" he whispered on your lips

It's your third year at Hogwarts, and Draco Malfoy has seemingly taken it upon himself to be more annoying than last year. But what if there's actually a secret reason for it...?

Third year. A new start to what you already knew would be yet another amazing experience at Hogwarts. And today was the first day, the first chance to step out there into those hallowed corridors, and take it all in again. With a deep sigh and a hopeful feeling settling in your heart, you stepped out of the Gryffindor common room entrance, out into the hallway.
As the familiar portrait swung shut behind you, you hurried along the stone corridors, eager to get to the Great Hall and have something to eat. But almost as soon as you stepped through those heavy oak doors, you let another deep sigh fall from your lips, this time out of annoyance, as you spotted a familiar head of blonde hair, over at the Slytherins' table.
Even from here, you could hear his voice as he spoke with the crowd of people unfortunate enough to call themselves his friends. "-think this year we'll actually have someone competent enough for the Defense Against the Dark Arts post," he was saying, his voice taking on a lazy drawl.
A few of the other Slytherins found this rather amusing, getting a good laugh out of it. "Well", you thought, "it's nice to see that nothing has changed." And indeed it hadn't; Draco Malfoy still appeared to be the same annoying git he had been last year... and the year before that.
As you stood there watching, he suddenly glanced over in your direction, his eyes meeting yours. They widened for a moment, Draco having been caught off guard by you watching him, before he quickly recovered, one corner of his mouth lifting in a slight sneer.
With a roll of your eyes, you turned and made your way over to the Gryffindors' table, taking a seat next to Hermione Granger. She had been one of the first few friends you had made upon your arrival to Hogwarts two years ago, ever the supportive soul and shoulder to lean on when you needed it.
She had a good sense of judgement about her too, something that had helped to deepen your fondness for the girl. And so it was with a comforting smile she had turned to face you when you sat down beside her with a sigh. "Is something wrong?" she asked, her brows furrowing in concern.
You shot a glance over your shoulder to the Slytherins' table, rolling your eyes again. "More like someone," you answered. She followed your gaze, and made a noise similar to a scoff. "Ignore him. He's a foul little git, always has been," Hermione sniffed, turning back around.
"Who's a foul git?" a voice asked. You looked up to see two of your other friends, Ron Weasley and Harry Potter, sitting down at the table. "Malfoy," you answered with an irritated shake of your head, as you reached for a piece of toast. Harry scoffed, glancing over your shoulder for a brief moment, a look of disgust on his face.
"So what else is new?" he retorted, beginning to load up his plate with food. You laughed, unaware that the sound had caught the attention of the git in question, unaware that he was, in fact, staring at you. Ignorance truly was bliss... Until Ron let out a groan. "Don't look now, but we've got trouble," he grumbled, nodding towards something behind you.
You turned in your seat to see Draco approaching your table, a glint of malice in his eyes. He stopped to stand a few feet away from you, his cool gaze drifting across the four of you. When he spoke, his voice was that same pompous, lazy drawl from earlier.
"Funny, I thought you would have been smart enough to ditch these losers before the start of the year," he said, his words directed towards you. Irritation bubbled within you, and you scoffed, rising from your seat to take a step towards him, noticing the subtle way he in turn took a step back.
"Yes, well. I much prefer their company as opposed to someone who's too full of himself," you retorted, with a roll of your eyes. Draco opened his mouth to reply, but you hurried to continue, determined to get in the last word for once.
"Oh, and let's not even mention those terrible daddy issues you have, yeah?" you added with a mock shudder, flashing him a faux smile. Almost immediately, he grew red in the face, his mouth opening and closing for a full minute, completely at a loss for words.
It was only then you had noticed how quiet the entirety of the Great Hall had become, everyone's eyes on you and Draco, who continued to stand there staring stupidly at you. Finally, all he could manage was a strained, muttered "Screw you," before he abruptly turned and left the Great Hall.
There was a brief silence in the room, before it was broken by the sounds of scattered applause and hushed chatter. As you sat back down, you became aware that you were being watched. You looked to your left, only to be met with Hermione staring at you in shock, her brown eyes wide and mouth slightly open.
"What? It's not like I didn't say anything he didn't already know..." you grumbled, looking away, heat spreading across your cheeks. You finished your breakfast without another word, before getting up from the table and leaving the Great Hall, determined to avoid the gazes of the three people still sitting back at that table.
Tumblr media
Draco had no idea what came over him in that moment, back in the Great Hall. Her words had been biting and harsh, with the purpose to cause him as much pain as he had caused her.
And it had worked.
He stood there outside the Potions classroom, his face still red and his blood raging a scorching trail through his veins. The audacity she had this morning-! Lashing out at him with her stupid little Gryffindor friends watching on, stupid smirks on their stupid faces, looking on as she utterly destroyed him in front of everybody.
He knew he should have hated her, he should have immediately started planning out ways to get back at her, should have been running over a mental list of hexes he could use on her. But there was something else there, too. Something... odd. Something... new.
Almost involuntarily, one corner of Draco's mouth lifted in a smirk, before he quickly recovered, an annoyed scowl taking its place. He found himself suddenly hating the way he was slightly impressed by how she had stood up to him, (despite how humiliating it had been for him). Those Gryffindor girls were definitely something else, that was for sure...
Oh, and speak of the devil... Draco groaned as he caught sight of a familiar face coming around the corner further up ahead, her voice reaching his ears as she descended the stairs, on her way to Potions class. Ugh, it was her. Y/N Y/L/N. And she was with that Mudblood Granger, too. And Potter and Weaselbee. Could today get any worse??
Clearly it could in fact get worse, as Y/N's eyes met his, narrowing in distaste. Merlin, the way she looked at him, it was like she was flaying him alive with just her gaze alone. Potter leaned over at that moment to whisper something in Y/N's ear, his eyes fixed on Draco.
And as the girl let out a peal of laughter, Draco found himself utterly hating, no... loathing.... how close she and that damned Potter boy were. "Jealous much?" his thoughts echoed at him. Draco's jaw tensed, his teeth clenching together in irritation as he shoved those intrusive, annoying thoughts down as far as they would go.
As if he could really fancy someone like her! She was an annoyingly intelligent, bookish little Gryffindor, and he was an attractive Slytherin who was popular in all the wrong ways. Their kind didn't mix, and for good reason.
At that moment, the door to the classroom opened, and Y/N cast Draco yet another withering look as she sauntered past him, her books clutched in front of her and her head held high. God, those Gryffindors were damned prideful! Draco gritted his teeth once more as he followed after her into the room, taking his usual seat at a table two rows behind her.
This class was going to take forever, he just knew it. And indeed, time seemed to pass by much slower today than it would on any other day. As Snape droned on at the head of the class, Draco found himself spacing out, his gaze lazily shifting to rest on the back of Y/N's head.
He watched as she tilted her head to one side, resting her cheek against the palm of her hand. Even from here, Draco could see the girl's shoulders lift as she sighed. "Maybe she's just as bored as we are," his thoughts suddenly whispered. One corner of Draco's mouth hitched up in a smirk, and before he could stop himself, he had let out a quiet chuckle.
But evidently it wasn't quiet enough; Snape shot him a slight glare from the head of the room. "Something amusing you wish to share with the rest of us... Mr Malfoy?" he sneered. Draco's smirk vanished in an instant, replaced by a deep scowl. "No, sir," he muttered, trying to avoid Snape's gaze, along with the eyes of everyone else who had turned around in their seats to stare at him.
Class seemed to drag on after that, and it was with a relieved sigh that Draco was one of the first ones out the door. He could still feel the eyes of everyone else watching him as he left, but he didn't spare them a single glance. He just wanted to get away from it all, have some time to himself to think...
Tumblr media
One month. It had been one month since you and Draco had exchanged harsh words with each other on that fateful morning in the Great Hall. And you would be lying to yourself if you said that it hadn't somehow begun to finally affect you. More and more you found yourself thinking about him, despite your best efforts not to.
He was a git, that was for sure. But... maybe there was something else about him, something you hadn't fully noticed or appreciated, until now. Last weekend had been the turning point for you. It had been fairly sunny outside that day, which meant most of the student body chose to spend their free time outdoors, yourself included.
Book in hand, you had nestled yourself beneath the shade of one of the huge willow trees near the shoreline of the Black Lake, content to try and finish another chapter today. But you had barely been five paragraphs in when the faint sound of laughter had reached your ears.
Looking up, you had seen... him. He was with his friends, and like everyone else, he was dressed somewhat casual today, the sleeves of his dark green shirt rolled up to expose his toned forearms. His white-blonde hair gleamed in the sunlight filtering down through the leaves of the tree that him and his friends were sitting beneath.
You had continued to sit there watching him, until he suddenly turned his head, glancing in your direction. Quickly looking down, you had pretended to be absorbed in your book, your cheeks suddenly flushing with heat. Your heart had pounded furiously, but when you had looked up again, Draco was back to chatting with his friends.
Still, you couldn't quite shake the feelings that had coursed through you at the thought that he might have noticed you watching him. And that night, you had found yourself thinking about him again, even whilst asleep. And the next morning, realization had sunk in, and those feelings from before had come rushing back.
And oh, was it noticeable. Just this morning, even Hermione had remarked that there was "something different" about you. You had brushed it off at the time, but the more you thought about it, the more you wondered. What if she was right? What if, somehow, you were slowly becoming... attracted... to Draco Malfoy??
No. The very idea was ridiculous. It couldn't happen, it wouldn't. You were a Gryffindor. He was a Slytherin. People like you and him just didn't belong together. "But what if you do?" a voice had whispered from the depths of your mind.
You had to admit, as silly and preposterous as it sounded... a small part of you couldn't help but secretly wonder what it would be like if maybe, just maybe, you two did end up together. Would it really be so bad? Sure, it would be utterly volatile at first, but would it eventually smoothen out after a while, click into place, feel exactly as it should?
As you set off towards the Forbidden Forest for your Care of Magical Creatures lesson, you shook the errant thoughts from your head. You and Draco ending up together was about as unlikely as He-Who-Must-Be-Named coming back from the dead. It just wouldn't happen, it wasn't possible... was it?
Tumblr media
Draco watched with a bored expression as more students entered the small clearing, some of them looking rather anxious at the prospect of the upcoming lesson today. It was no secret that the school's gamekeeper, Hagrid, was overly enthusiastic about harboring dangerous creatures as pets.
Which meant that the idea of him having any of the aforementioned dangerous creatures as an example for the class today was a very real possibility. Draco shuddered, a frown suddenly marring his features, but it quickly faded as he caught sight of a familiar student stepping out from between the trees, a few dozen feet away.
Y/N...
Quite involuntarily, Draco's heart lurched in his chest, a few of the beats skipping and tripping over one another. And when Goyle made a snarky comment about how the "stupid little Gryffindor Mudblood showed up today", he sharply elbowed the other boy in the ribs, before he could fully stop himself.
Out of the corner of his eye, Draco could see Goyle glaring at him, but he couldn't care less at the moment. He found his attention to be quite wholly focused on the way Y/N looked today, on the way the sunlight seemed to fall just right atop her Y/H/C hair... Merlin, even on the way she walked.
She wasn't wearing her school robes today, instead choosing to opt for the usual white button down shirt, plaid skirt, and House tie. As Draco continued to stare, Y/N waved at Granger, before coming to stand next to the girl, dropping her bag to the ground and leaning against the nearby tree, looking ever so casual.
Granger said something to the girl, and Y/N laughed, the sound reaching Draco's ears. His heart seemed to swell at the sound, and again, before he could stop himself, the ghost of a smile flitted across his face, before a voice interrupted his thoughts. "Malfoy, mate, what is with you lately??" Goyle asked.
Draco merely shrugged, his gaze drifting lazily to rest on the boy standing next to him. "Don't worry about it, it doesn't concern you," he drawled, before going back to staring at Y/N. Evidently this wasn't good enough for Goyle, because a minute later, he made a noise similar to a hiss, before laughing derisively.
"Oh, no fucking way! Don't tell me you actually fancy that swotty little Gryffindor??" he asked, his tone incredulous. Draco turned his head to cast a sharp glare at the boy, his eyes narrowing. "Shut it, Goyle!" he hissed, his jaw tensed and his hands clenched into fists at his sides. That idiot didn't have a clue what he was talking about; and yet... Draco hadn't denied it.
He hadn't bothered to contradict the other boy, he honestly didn't think he could. Because over the course of the past week, he had found himself thinking about Y/N more than he probably should, possibly even more than he had ever wanted to.
She was in the forefront of his mind while he slept at night, she was the first thing he thought about when waking in the morning, she... Oh, fucking Salazar. She was the only person he thought about when he'd lie there awake at night, his mind helping him imagine all sorts of ways that he could go up and talk to her.
She was like a fix to him, and he didn't quite know how to feel about it, not really. How were you supposed to tell someone, at thirteen years old, no less, that they were the subject of your every waking thought, the sole occupant of your dreams, nightmares, and daydreams?
How were you supposed to tell them that surprise, you didn't actually hate them, but instead, secretly fancied them more than even you yourself thought possible?? How would he ever be able to tell Y/N any of this? Draco kicked at a loose patch of dirt with the toe of his shoe, an irritated grumble issuing from his mouth.
He could feel his friends watching him, could feel the way they all stared at him like he was going round the twist, like he was a complete nutter. And it didn't help the matter at hand; if anything, it only made it worse, made Draco even more irritated. Finally, he couldn't take it anymore.
Rounding on the lot of them, he snapped with a very harsh, snarled "What??" before turning and moving to a tree a few feet away, leaning against it as he struggled to regain his composure. His gaze slowly softened as he began to watch Y/N again, taking note of every little thing she did.
The way she'd reach up every five minutes and subconsciously tuck the same lock of hair behind her ear, over and over again... the way she'd occasionally, ever so subtly, lift one of her legs to tap the toe of her boot against the ground, before resting it flat again...
And then she turned halfway, her head lifting, and her eyes met his.
And she blushed.
She actually blushed, her cheeks flushing pink as she stared back at him.
Her lips parted slightly, and for a moment, it looked like she was going to say something, or perhaps smile at him, before both her and Draco's attention was suddenly disrupted by the arrival of Hagrid.
With a startled little gasp, she quickly turned and faced away from him again, her gaze now focused upon the lesson beginning to take place. But little did she know that the blonde boy behind her was still watching her with newfound, rapt interest.
And little did he in turn know that her cheeks were still pink with heat, her heart racing a mile a minute within her ribcage. Draco didn't know what to think, he wasn't even sure he knew how to think at this point. Something had clearly affected both himself and Y/N, they had clearly shared a moment back there...
Tumblr media
You watched as Harry shakily dismounted Buckbeak, the hippogriff, though your attention span was only half-hearted at this point. You were still reeling from the little encounter you and Draco Malfoy had shared a little bit ago. Something had happened, neither of you had seemed able to stop staring at each other.
You had felt your cheeks flush with heat, had seen how it in turn had affected Draco, how the inky swell of his pupils had bled out towards the edges of his irises, as his eyes had widened in surprise. And then it had all been cut short by the arrival of Hagrid and his pet hippogriff, leaving you utterly reeling and more confused than ever.
Was it really possible that you perhaps fancied Draco Malfoy??
Your thoughts were interrupted once more by the sound of a familiar voice, belonging to the boy in question. You watched as he did possibly the most idiotic thing any student in this class could do: he approached Buckbeak, appearing as if to challenge the creature, which of course, ended disastrously.
The whole class, yourself included, watched in horror as Buckbeak slashed at Draco's arm with his hoof, knocking the boy to the ground. And of course, Draco being who he was, immediately began to pour on the theatrics, until Hermione insisted that he be taken to the hospital wing.
Which was how you found yourself leading an injured Draco out of the woods, back up towards the castle. Silence remained fixed between the two of you, until you got to the covered, arched corridor leading up to the school. "You're an absolute idiot, you know that?" you said, a little irritatedly.
Whatever words you were expecting to hear come out of Draco's mouth, the ones that actually did were clearly not it.
"Yeah, well. Can I be your idiot?"
You froze in your tracks, and Draco nearly stumbled on the stone floor beneath his feet.
Almost immediately, you rounded on him, your eyes widening. "W-what did you just say?" you asked, your voice trembling. Draco stared stupidly back at you, one eyebrow raised in confusion. "I said, can I be your idiot?" he repeated slowly. You stood there for a moment, completely at a loss for words.
Was he serious right now? Or was it perhaps just another angle, another scheme of his? You wouldn't put it past him, honestly. But then again, you yourself had seen that somehow, Draco was changing. So what if he was actually maybe, just maybe, trying to be... nice... for once?? Was that it, then?
"You're doing it again."
Draco's voice suddenly cut through your thoughts, his tone soft. You looked up at him, startled, your face flushing pink. "I, er... What?" you stammered. He nodded down towards your feet, one corner of his mouth lifting in a wry little smile. "Your boot. You always tap the toe of it on the ground. I don't even know if you realize you do it, but I notice it, every time," he explained.
You realized with some embarrassment that he was right. You had, in fact, been tapping the toe of your boot against the stone floor without even giving it another thought. Truth be told, it was a nervous little habit of yours, always had been.
When you explained this to Draco in a quiet murmur, he took a few steps closer to you, until you found yourself, quite literally, with your back against a wall. "What are you so nervous about?" Draco breathed. His oceanic eyes bore steadily into yours, as if looking for the answers there.
Your heart fluttered weakly in your chest as you stared back at him, your throat seeming to go dry. Was this it, then? The moment where you would tell him the truth, and perhaps simultaneously, singlehandedly, ruin everything as a result of it? Only one way to find out, right?
With a shaky sigh, you finally answered him.
"You."
There was a moment's pause where time seemed to drag on endlessly, hopelessly.
And then Draco suddenly leaned forward, pressing the softest of kisses to your forehead.
"Y/N," the way he spoke your name, you found yourself craving more of it, you didn't want anyone else to say it like that, you didn't think anyone else could.
Draco rested his forehead against yours, and you could see a gentle smile curve up the corners of his mouth. "Y/N. You don't have to be nervous around me," he whispered.
"Don't I?" you whispered back.
His smile faltered a little, and he pulled back to look down at you. His mercurial eyes were full of something that looked a lot like sadness, or perhaps remorse. "....You shouldn't. Look, I know I've been a bit of a git to you. And... Y/N, for what it's worth, I'm sorry," he said quietly.
This caught you a little off guard. Draco Malfoy usually never apologized to anybody, especially not a Gryffindor. He was well known around school as a bully, someone who wouldn't think twice about having a good laugh at the expense of someone else's misery.
So seeing him stand here now, apologizing to you and trying to bring you some comfort, it was... odd. "You... you're sorry?" you repeated slowly, not fully understanding. Draco nodded, his brows furrowing in concern as he stared back at you, waiting for your response.
The trouble was, you weren't sure you had one. Not a good one, anyway. There were so many things left unsaid, so many things that needed to be said, far too many things to fit into one answer. So for now, you would just have to settle for the one that mattered the most, and hope it was enough.
"I'm sorry too," you finally spoke up.
Draco's brows drew together in confusion for a moment, and the breath you didn't know you'd been holding suddenly left you in a sharp exhale.
"You're sorry? What do you have to be sorry for, Y/N?" he asked.
You drew a deep breath before answering him. "I'm sorry for the comment I made about your dad. Well, rather, about you having, you know. Daddy issues. It was uncalled for."
A rueful smile tugged at one corner of Draco's mouth and he shrugged. "Why? I mean, you weren't far from the truth," he admitted.
Hearing those words come out of his mouth made your heart ache in a way you didn't even know was possible. If anything, it made it that much harder to not feel sorry for him.
"Oh, Dray..." you breathed, both your eyes and your heart heavy with sadness.
Draco shook his head, reaching up with his uninjured arm to rest his fingertips lightly against your cheek.
"No, don't worry about it. I know deep down somewhere, he probably means well. I just... I guess I didn't think anyone else would call me out on it, that's all," he explained.
Quite honestly, you found that a little hard to believe. You couldn't help yourself; the smallest of laughs rose up from your throat.
"You mean good ol' Harry didn't beat me to the punch?" you teased him. Draco rolled his eyes, though his smirk betrayed him.
"Oh, please! Potter's already insulted me and my family more times than even I can count. I guess I should've worded it differently. So let me rephrase: I didn't think you would call me out on it," he retorted.
His smirk grew a little as he tucked a loose piece of hair behind your ear. "But you did. And... it was something else. You're something else, you know that?" he added, breathing the last words in an awed whisper.
You could feel your cheeks flush with heat, and Draco grinned. "You, um. You look sort of pretty when you do that, you know," he mumbled, before suddenly looking down and trying to avoid your gaze. Oh, Merlin's beard, was Draco Malfoy actually... embarrassed??
You blushed harder, tugging your bottom lip between your teeth for a moment to hide your growing smile, before letting it go. "You know, when you're not running that cocky mouth of yours, you're pretty attractive too," you answered, failing to hide your grin.
Draco's eyes shot up to meet yours, and for a moment, it was like there was no one else in the world apart from the two of you. And then he opened his mouth to answer you, his smirk returning once more.
"You think I'm attractive?"
You reached out to swat him lightly on the chest, earning a loud laugh from him. "No, hey, I'm sorry! I know. Thanks, by the way. I, uh... I actually have something I need to tell you," he said with a lazy grin.
You made a face at him, before nodding, reaching up and taking his hand in yours. Draco intertwined his fingers within yours before continuing.
"These past few weeks, something's changed. I think about you a lot more than I probably should," he admitted.
"And, with that being said... I think- no, sorry, that's the wrong word to use. I know... I fancy you, Y/N," he went on.
Silence settled between the two of you for a moment before you spoke up, your voice quiet.
"I think about you too. A lot. Especially after last weekend," you answered. Draco winked at you, giving your hand a light squeeze. "I know. I saw you out by the lake, watching me. You looked really pretty that day," he confessed.
So he had seen you staring at him!
A look of horror must have settled upon your face, because Draco laughed again. "No, it's alright! I suppose I was actually hoping, deep down, that you might've come over and said hello or something," he reassured you.
"I mean, I even would've taken an insult at that point, honestly," he added with a teasing little smile. You stuck your tongue out at him, before quickly looking away, trying not to smile back at him.
Draco released your fingers with a soft sigh to cup your face gently in his hand. "Y/N, I think I'm in love with you," he whispered.
Your eyes met his, and you saw nothing but the truth in them, a whole-hearted admittance of the way he truly felt about you.
And in that moment, you knew.
You were in love with him too.
You told him so, your voice growing quiet, and he answered you with one of the softest smiles you'd ever seen him give anyone, as he leaned forward and kissed you once, ever so lightly on the mouth.
"So can I be your idiot?" he whispered when he'd pulled back to look at you, his eyes searching yours for the answer that lay there.
You nodded, your gaze remaining fixed on his.
"Yes," you breathed.
Draco smiled at you in that soft, gentle way again, before taking your hand in his.
"Here, come on. I suppose we ought to take me to see Madam Pomfrey now, or they'll never let me hear the end of this," he said, nodding down at his injured arm.
You couldn't help but laugh. "You really are an idiot, you know that?" you said with a grin.
As the two of you began to walk again, Draco shrugged, mirroring your smile with a lazy one of his own.
"Maybe so, but at least now I'm your idiot."

raising Scorpius: Draco Malfoy x reader domestic fluff
Tumblr media
request: can i request some domestic Draco fluff about Draco and MC raising Scorpius, either after Astoria's death or with MC replacing Astoria as Scorpius's mom?? thank youUuu a/n: loved this request, hope this is what you wanted!! word count: 721
Arguably, the most coveted space in the Malfoy Manor was the sun parlor. In summer, it bathed occupants in the warmth of the sun's rays, while in winter, Draco's charms ensured one could relish the beauty of snow without enduring the biting cold. It had some of the most conformable sofas, which made you feel like you were lunging on clouds.
Any time of the day, it was the best room. In the morning, you could nestle into the plush sofa with a cup of morning tea, savouring the tranquil spectacle of the sunrise. In the afternoon, the room offered a front-row seat to observe the majestic peacocks leisurely wandering the grounds. And as evening descended, after a satisfying dinner, it provided the perfect setting to lose yourself in a good book while the sun dipped below the horizon in the distance.
Its panoramic views stretched out before you, showcasing the sprawling grounds in all their splendor. Adjacent to the sun parlour lay the small Quidditch pitch that Draco had set up a couple of years back, providing the perfect spot to watch your husband—often shirtless—as he soared through the air on his broom.
Setting your book aside, you turned to gaze at the pitch, a mischievous grin tugging at your lips as you hoped to catch a glimpse of your half-naked, sweaty husband in action.
But as your eyes scanned the scene, they widened in alarm. Instead of Draco, you saw your three-year-old son precariously perched on a broom, giggling in delight as he wobbled through the air. Fear gripped your heart, you pushed the glass door open and sprinted towards your son.
You looked around, trying to find Draco but he was nowhere to be seen.
"SCORPIUS, COME BACK HERE!" you screeched, your voice trembling with fear, but your frantic calls were carried away by the wind.
The wind whipped through your hair as you reached the edge of the pitch, your heart pounding in your chest. You waved your arms frantically, trying to catch your son's attention.
Scorpius, oblivious to your frantic calls, continued to giggle as he attempted to steer the broom, his tiny hands barely able to grasp the handle. Panic surged through you as he veered dangerously close to the ground, his laughter echoing in the air. Your hands flew to your mouth, convinced you were about to see your son crash against the floor.
Suddenly, Draco appeared, laughing heartily as he swooped in on his broom, scooping Scorpius up safely in his arms at the last minute. You could hear his roaring laughter, but you didn't find it amusing.
"Draco Lucius Malfoy!" you scolded, your voice tinged with anger and relief.
Your husband turned towards you, your use of his full name wiping the grin right off of his face. You could see as he muttered "fuck" under his breath, knowing he was caught.
Placing your hands on your hips, you waited for him to approach. As Draco neared you, his demeanor shifted, his expression a mixture of sheepishness and remorse at being caught. Beside him, Scorpius bounced with excitement, oblivious to the tension between his parents.
"This is not a game! You scared me half to death! Scorpius could have been hurt!" you yelled.
"I'm sorry, my love," he said, his voice soft. "We were just having a bit of fun. I'll make sure it doesn't happen again."
You scoffed, not willing to accept his apology, and turned to look over his shoulder.
He took a step closer, setting Scorpius on the ground beside him. His eyes pleaded for forgiveness as he reached out to gently touch your arm.
Draco's warm touch on your arm sent a soothing wave through you. You turned to face him and couldn't help the smile that spread through your face. Draco saw this as a way in and pulled you against his bare chest.
"Ugh, Draco! You're all sweaty." you complained half-heartedly, but made no attempt to back away.
"Mmhm." he murmured softly as he kissed your cheek. "I'm sorry, it won't happen again."
Scorpius, who had been watching the exchange with wide eyes, piped up with a mischievous grin. "Yes it will," he declared innocently, earning a chuckle from both you and Draco.
How could you stay mad at either of your boys? It was impossible.

pairing: draco malfoy x fem!reader
category: fluff
warnings: none
summary: draco needing attention because you didn’t give him any
notes: only the reader bullying second year ravenclaws
Tumblr media
the corridors were calm and there was only a little group of second year ravenclaws near the stairs. you always wondered why they dared to come down here anyway those nerds. you were walking back to the slytherin common room after studying with hermione in the library when blaise came up from behind you.
„sup n/n“ he spoke while patting your head.
he always did that because you were much shorter than him. you glared at him while he gave you a cocky smile in return. it was only then that you realized he was alone.
„hey wheres little miss princess?“ you said while smiling at the nickname you gave draco.
„he‘s in his dorm room throwing his daily tantrum.“ blaise said giving you an elbow nudge and putting his arm around your shoulder. blaise was like an older brother to you so this was normal to you both.
blaise walked to his next class but not before he gave you another pat on the head.
„BLAISE SLEEP WITH ONE EYE OPEN YOU FUCKING MORON“ you yelled while realizing the group of stupid nerds were googling their stupid little eyes at you so you did what any other reasonable person would do.
you walked up to them and yelled „STOP STARING NERDS“ everyone looked down except the one in the middle so you grabbed the book the one in the middle was holding and threw it on the ground.
you walked into the common room seeing your boyfriend lie on top of the dark sage couch. you walked up to him and kneeled down in front of him.
„hi babe“ you gave him a kiss on the cheek.
you now realized that draco wasn’t smiling or looking at you he was looking past you at window facing the black lake frowning.
„whats wrong?“ you asked your frowning boyfriend. he now looked at you deep into your e/c eyes.
he didn’t answer you he just opened his arms signaling for you to lay down with him. you pulled him up by his left hand and pulled him into your dorm room with you.
„what are you doing?“ he said in his sleepy voice. confused on how he was just laying down a few minutes ago and now walking up the stairs.
you opened your dorm and let his hand go while he was walking towards your bed you were closing the door behind you.
when you turned around your boyfriend was already laying on his side under your blanket waiting for you to join him.
you didn’t even put your books into the shelf you just threw them onto your desk not wanting draco to suffer any longer.
you lied down next to him whilst he layed his arm around your waist and nuzzling his head inbetween your head and shoulder.
you felt him start to smile.
„i love you“ he spoke.
„i love you too“ you replied.

Tumblr media
— A paper plane landed on your desk. Your chin was resting on your hand as you witnessed your classmates doing their own things, playing with the papers as they used their spells, levitating them in the air. Your mind clearly said the spell as soon as you saw the magic, wingardium leviosa.
You raised an eyebrow, you looked anywhere to see who sent it, but sadly you have no idea. You opened the paper to see a drawing of a girl with a bored expression. Soon, you realized that it was you on the drawing. You didn’t get a chance to ask your seatmate, but eventually professor Snape arrived in the classroom. You groaned internally and placed the paper on one of the pages of your book and the class started.
The next day, at lunch, everyone was busy eating, chatting with each other. You decided to sit down with your fellow trouble magnet friends, Ron, Hermione, and Harry. A paper airplane landed on the table where you were eating. Ron was the first to pick up the paper airplane, “clearly I'm eating here and this rubbish decided to land on it,” he complained with his mouth full of food. He opened the paper to see a poorly drawn picture of his friend before lunch, “Wait hold on, y/n is this you?” he asked. Soon after, Hermione and Harry stopped eating and leaned closer to the paper that Ron was holding.
“Whoever fancies you y/n, needs to be taught on how to draw,” Harry joked.
Hermione, Ron, and you did  stifle a laugh. “I didn’t know that you were that mean, Harry,” you commented, “I mean that’s kind of cute coming from a guy who likes me or makes fun of me. At least they’re watching over me. How about that?”
“That’s kind of creepy y/n,” Hermione added.
“Clearly that guy was maybe too shy to approach you,” Harry pointed out. Ron gave the paper to you and you once again, kept it on your book, “whoever sends me this will tell me who they are or a clue,” you said.
“Well good luck to you,” Hermione said.
“Thanks, I will be needing that,” you replied.
The following days, you still have been receiving the same paper planes but with the sketches has been improved quite a bit. You made up your mind that you had enough, you need answers. And so, you grabbed all the previous paper airplanes you have received, laying them all on your bed and began to think.
First, the sketches, you deduced that the mysterious person who has been sending was around you. The first ever plane you have received was from the potion class of Professor snape. Which was Slytherin and Gryffindor.
You silently opened your mouth and covered it by your hand as you slowly processed the problem you had solved.
Hermione entered the dorms as she looked at the papers laying on your bed. She went near  you and scanned the bed, “wow, that’s all of the paper airplanes you have received in the past weeks? Whoever that person was, they really must have been fancying you for a very long time,” she commented.
You collected all the papers, “well they are probably in Gryffindor or Slytherin and that’s for sure,” you replied. Hermione sat down on her bed, “ I kinda want to know who it was,” she laughed.
“Welcome to the club then,” you chuckled.
Tumblr media
Monday is the worst of all. Yet, you are still stuck on the Gryffindor/Slytherin clue you found out a week ago. You yawned as you were on our way to the Great hall to eat your breakfast, but somehow you happened to bump into someone.
“Watch it!”
Your view was a bit blurred because of your poor eyesight whenever you wake up. Slowly you noticed the brightest head out of all people. The one and only Draco Lucius Malfoy. Great.
You scrunched up your eyebrows because you really can’t see it clearly, “get out malfoy, i don’t have time for your petty games, now shove off.”
His gang made a sound, “ooooh!”
You signaled a stop sign on them and grabbed your glasses and put it on, the first thing you ever saw was his face. Unlike his hair from the past year that has been applied with gel and now it looks better— since when did you ever think about this? His eyes looking straight at you making you shift your gaze on the other side, from the first time ever, you said the impossible, “you look good on your hair, it suits you well,”
They went silent, and he was too.
You were supposed to be pissed off by him and now he's the one who got struck by a different approach than he was expecting.
"You're lucky this time!" He said and immediately left and his gang followed him. You also went to your table where your friends are. They all looked at you with their mouths full. You sat in front of Harry beside hermione.
"We didn't know you use glasses y/n," Harry  started the conversation. You scratched your head as you started to fix your hair into a messy low bun, "I didn't use it that much since my eyes kinda depend on the days on when I will be needing it," you replied and you took a bite from the bread.
The door suddenly opened with owls, holding letters, packages and even a howler went inside to scold a fellow gryffindor, everybody laughed at that, especially the slytherins. Then again, a paper airplane flew and landed on the tables like the last time, the trio wiggled their eyebrows in a  playful manner and said, "y/n has an admirer!" They teased.
Of course, everybody heard that.
You covered your face in embarrassment, even the neighboring schools looked at the commotion. "You guys are embarrassing me!" You whisper yelled and they giggled.
dear y/n,
you look pretty with glasses,
it suits you well.
Your heart skipped a beat, it's so sudden that someone has actually complimented you. As soon as Hermione, Ron, and Harry read the paper, the trio went wild. It clearly caught everyone's attention, "that's what you call an admirer!"
You felt your cheeks getting warm, you were blushing.
Yes, you felt happy as you read the letter once again, clearly the trio was so happy for you, but to Hermione she was a bit worried about the truth that you had deduced last week. She thought that maybe it was a slytherin and that is definitely not a good idea for a gryffindor to date a slytherin because of the beef they had in history up until now. But at the same time, it's actually kind of nice to hear.
You folded the paper and kept it inside your pocket, still blushing at the letter, "a-anyways, enough about t-that," you stuttered. They all looked at you, wiggled their eyebrows, and added it up with their smirk.
You mumbled something, and began to eat. But everytime you look at them, they give you a smirk to which you pretend to ignore them for the whole breakfast.
To the trio's perspective, you immediately left after eating breakfast and went straight to your first subject. They all look at each other, "do you think we went too far?" Hermione asked. Meanwhile Ron was still eating, Hermione grabbed her newspaper and smacked it on his head, "ow! What was that for?" He asked.
Ron looked at Harry and Harry signaled by his eyes on your seat to where you left. Ron looked again at Harry and he shrugged his shoulders saying, "I don't think we went too far to be honest”, he took another bite, “ it's been a while since she felt that way and i don't know," he took a bite from his bread.
Hermione sighed, "boys are hopeless," she thought.
Tumblr media
Professor McGonagall gathered everyone at the great hall. All tables have been removed and replaced by some chairs enough for everyone to sit. You sat down with Ginny and the other juniors, sadly you could’ve been seated between Ginny and Hermione but the others were too fast on occupying the seats, not that you did mind it. Right in front of you were the boys, Harry and Ron stuck together, since the announcement hadn't started yet, you scanned the whole room.
You happen to see the blonde Malfoy across the hall sitting beside his little slytherin gang, pointing and laughing at some students who they see fit to be laughed at. His so-called ally, Crabbe, saw you looking at malfoy.
You immediately looked away and tapped Ginny's shoulder. She looked at you with her eyebrows raised. "What's up?" She asked. You were trying to say something but too bad you didn't even think about a topic to talk about in order to avoid eye contact with his friends.
Just in time, Professor McGonagall arrived and began to explain the event to be held at hogwarts.
The yule ball.
The funny bit was that Ron was dancing with Professor McGonagall, Harry chuckled, and most of the Hogwarts students laughed. Everyone was excited about the ball, and some of them were not so happy about it, especially to some people who hate gatherings and parties. Professor McGonagall told everyone to dance with someone as a practice. Everyone followed but you stayed on your seat.
The meeting adjourned and everyone talked about the ball. The guys were trying their shot as they asked the other girls to come with them to the ball. Days passed, the talk about the ball was still on.
Malfoy himself always teases you for how you have glasses, "oh look, isn't just amazing to see potter number two," with his signature smirk plastered on his face. You clicked your tongue and almost crushed to being crumpled up on a paper plane you have received during lunch.
He took the paper plane and held it up high. "Malfoy! Give it back!" You demanded. He laughed at how you couldn't reach the paper. But instead you tickled him on the side ,with the paper was holding fell down, you then grabbed the paper and ran away from him.
And the next day,  when you were with Hermione this time, you noticed that she was smiling the whole time, which made you curious about it.
"Looks weird to see you subconsciously smiling 'mione, do you have a date already?" You asked. The brunette looked at your eyes and just could help it but to smile at the memory she had a while ago. "Would you believe me if I said that I have a date for the ball?" You snorted, "why would you say that? Clearly you're too pretty that some guys fancy you, you know. And of course I would believe in that," you replied.
Just then, a paper plane flew towards you, you looked around in the hallways, hoping you could see the person who sent this. Hermione made a fake cough, "it looks like you have a date to the ball," she said.
"Don't assume too much 'mione,"
She chuckled lightly, "hm, whatever floats your boat. I need to go to the library for herbology class, my essay is due in three days-"
"But it's only three days away—"
"Exactly."
She soon left and you were now alone in the hallway. Luckily, you have free time for two hours, you don't have the guts to do your work, and might as well do them later at night. As you were walking, you slowly opened up the paper plane. It wrote something:
Days may have gone fast,
Reading this will surely make your heart beat fast.
And the glasses that makes you prettier day by day,
Come at the astronomy tower at the end of the day,
Oh to hear what I will say.
-after dinner it is.
A smile crept on your face, and your hand suddenly covered it, whoever wrote the poem, it bloody made your heart beat fast. The next thing you know is that you happen to walk past one of Malfoy's friends, Blaise Zabini. You immediately looked away and walked faster.
Tumblr media
After the dinner, you immediately wiped your mouth with a napkin and left the great hall immediately. The trio wondered why you were in a hurry. Usually, you and Ron were always the last because both of you liked to talk and eat.
Harry and Ron raised both an eyebrow and looked at each other confusedly. Hermione hid her smile to the thought that the unknown guy who sends you paper planes has finally made a move on you. She couldn't wait for the yule ball.
You went straight to the astronomy tower, it took you seven minutes to get there since you are way too excited and at the same time nervous you know who it was. Of course, the thought you have in mind came all over you.
What if it was just a prank and made a fool out of you?
Another five minutes of doubting yourself on the wall before going upstairs. You smacked your cheeks to get a hold of yourself. "You can do this y/n, if it's just a  joke, I'll punch the person who made fun of me," you encouraged yourself and began to go upstairs.
You panted as you took a final step on the stairs, you held on tightly on the railings on the side and began to fix your composure. "I need to exercise myself for this," you said.
You went on the balcony to see the view of hogwarts. Whoever said to meet in the astronomy tower definitely had a taste. The wind blew softly, you could really feel the chills of the season. You blew closely on your hand and rubbed them harder enough to create heat, then hid them in your robe. You cursed yourself for not wearing gloves and instead rushed out here.
What you didn't know is that there is a figure behind you and you didn't even feel it.
"Way too excited aren't we?"
You screamed and slapped whoever it was.
Slap!
The sound was too audible. As soon as you heard a familiar voice, and not to mention the hair, it was Draco Malfoy. “Bloody hell! Malfoy! I am so sorry!” you apologized. You cupped his cheek with your cold hands to see if there's any bruise to which you are not looking forward to it. Both of your faces are way too close. He hissed to the pain and he opened his eyes slowly meeting yours.
“Does it…hurt?” you inquired.
“Of course it does.” he replied.
The moment you realized that you were still holding his face, you blushed for a moment and let go of his face. You grabbed his robe and pulled him, “we need you to get to Madam Pomfrey.” You were practically panicking now, first the excitement/nervousness you had in the letter, second, you just slapped someone. Not to mention, the slytherin prince himself.
But he stopped, you turned back, “what are you standing for? Let’s get your cheek—”
“Do you have any idea?” he asked. Of course you didn’t get it, “idea? On what malfoy?” you raised an eyebrow.
He sighed, “as far as you can memorize spells on DADA very quickly, you can be a daft sometimes,” he looked at you. He pointed at you, “the letter,” he firmly said. The sound of his voice made you jolt. Merlin, that's kind of hot.
You took the paper in your robe and realized something. Before you pulled the paper successfully, you stopped. “How did you know about this?” you asked. He snorted, who wouldn't be by everyone when Potter and your other two friends yelled at it. Ah.
“Open the paper,” he ordered.
You followed and opened the paper, “now what?”
“Now, do you have any idea?” he asked once more. You shook your head, “I swear whoever wrote this seriously late”, you mumbled that was enough for him to hear you. Malfoy snorted, he was trying not to laugh.
You looked at him, he was trying not to laugh. And it hit you, “w-was this one of your pranks?” you said. You felt ashamed, believing over those papers. How pathetic. Never in your life you did something wrong to get tricked by someone. Tears slowly came out from your eyes, you just couldn’t help it.
Malfoy looked up to see you crying. “Hey, why are you crying?” he asked. You threw the paper on him, but the paper didn’t even reach up to him, it just simply fell down until it reached the floor. He picked up the paper.
“Why am I crying?! It’s because i get tricked falling for those stupid prank of yours!” you raise your voice. You sniffed and wiped your eyes with your hand gently.
“Prank?! Don’t be ridiculous! Why don’t you use that brain of yours and look at every first letter of the poem!” He was also enraged by your accusation. He gave you the crumpled paper and you began to read the poem once again.
Days may have gone fast,
Reading this will surely make your heart beat fast.
And the glasses that makes you prettier day by day,
Come at the astronomy tower at the end of the day,
Oh to hear what I will say.
You turned back, facing the stairs and crouched down, you whined between your knees, you were embarrassed and you felt like you were clowning yourself. “Bloody hell! I’m so stupid!” you screamed. As you stood up, you can’t even face him now, after what you've done to him. First you slapped him and you accused him of pranking you.
“Well?” He was waiting., waiting for your answer.
But before you get to say your answer you asked something, “do you really think that i look good with my glasses?” you avoided his gaze. His cold hand moved your chin to face him. “Yes,” he answered.
You chuckled, “to be honest, i’m still shocked from all of this, you being the secret guy who has been sending paper planes and has the fault of making me feel things that i can't explain." You said. You turned away from gim, you really can't face him. It's too embarrassing. He let out a small laugh, "merlin, i didn't know this side of yours." he looked away, and covered his mouth slightly and his other hand was on his hip.
"Hey!"
He slightly raised his hand to surrender, "I get it, so… would you like to go to the yule ball with me?"
You kept looking away from his eyes, "ummm… I'm not used to big gatherings but I would love to go with you," you answered.
"God, finally!" he yelled. You laughed at his reaction, between you two, you both knew each other's sides that no one has even seen. "I didn't know you could be a dork Malfoy," you commented. He had this eat-shitting grin plastered on his face, "and I didn't know you could be a ball of mess." He commented back.
"But there's one little problem." You said and scratched your neck.
"What problem?" He asked.
"icantdance."
"Come again?"
You closed your eyes, "I can't dance!" You confessed.
And he burst out laughing, and of course you look at him with a deadpan expression. You waited for him to stop laughing and he walked closer to you, "alright, i'm going to teach you, are you okay with that?" The consent was giving you mixed signals.
"yeah, totally." You agreed. The distance if his body and yours were too close. You gulped a couple times, this was your first time having someone really close to you. It's different when you say you have your parents and friends that are close to you but this, this is different.
"Put your right or left hand on my shoulder," he says. You followed his instruction and placed your hand on your shoulder. "Then I'm going to put my hand on your waist," his hand slowly went to your hand, "and just like that."
Your breath hitches, and you feel like your face is burning. The longer his hand was on your waist, you can definitely feel your face was a freshly licked tomato. "And hold my hand," he whispers. Both of your hands interlocked and you heard him chuckle, "y/n, your hands are bloody cold," he commented.
"I take that as a compliment," you chuckled. He began to slowly move sideways. You followed along with his movement. Then, after a few minutes the pace was a bit faster. He then twirled you around slowly and went back to the first position.
You both paused and let go. "That…was nice, honestly" you smiled.
"See? It wasn't so hard was it?" He says.
You shook your head as a response. "But don't expect me to memorize those steps, we only have, what? A week left before the ball." you said.
“They say time flies fast right?” he says.
Tumblr media
Finally, the yule ball is now happening. Everyone was excited. They’re excited to show off their date, out fit and just plainly to have fun on the dance floor. Beauxbatons and Dumstrang students are also there with their best clothes. They all look charming and Dashing.
Hermione and you were still at the dorms, helping out one another. She was wearing a dress that had different shades of pink sewn on it. While you wore this dress and style your hair in your choice. “Are you ready?” Hermione asked. You nodded, “yes, and i'm very nervous.” you said.
She laughed, “and by the way, you never told me about your date, who was the mystery guy?” she asked. Oh boy.
“You’ll see.” you replied.
Draco was waiting for you before the Great Hall’s door. He then spotted Potter and Weasley. HE didn’t have the energy to make a comment to the two and instead she kept silent until you arrived. Blaise, who was on his way to the door and saw Draco.
“Draco, what are you doing here? The others are inside the Great Hall.” he said. Draco shook his head, “I'm waiting for my date. You go on ahead.” he replied. Then Blaise left. It took a couple more minutes until you and Hermione came down. The inner him cheered like a kid and probably ran a lap by now. You both locked on eachothers eyes as you both looked at one another’s outfit.
‘So Handsome’
‘So Beautiful’
You quickly walked towards him.
The golden trio was shocked. They didn’t expect that it was Draco all along!
“Come on! This is too awkward!” you pulled him away from the trio and you gave them a goodbye wave and mouthed a sorry and you’ll be explaining after the ball. He let you link your arm on his and walked towards the hall. The scenery was absolutely amazing. It feels like you’re on the outside. The lights are shining and the other professors dress up nicely for this special occasion.
The players for the Triwizard competition began and the students followed along.
“Nervous?” Draco asked. He handed out his hand. You slowly held his hand, placing it on his shoulder and his on your waist. “I am, this is different from the astronomy tower. There’s so many people here,” you replied.
He pulled you closer and gave you a smile. “Just focus on me darling. You’ll be forgetting them soon.” he says and twirls you around.
And so you did.

As he flicked through the box, a small, handwritten letter caught his eye and a smile spread across his face. Draco recognized that letter, it was the one Theo had written him what felt like decades ago. It was christmas break & they were halfway through their fifth year at Hogwarts. Theo had written to him about this beautiful girl he'd met and sure enough Theo was right. That January when he saw her for the first time he fell in love.
It was now christmas break of seventh year & all three had decided to stay at Hogwarts for the next two weeks. Draco was cleaning his prefect dorm in preparation for yours and Theos arrival. As he finished the last box his mind began to spiral: what if you were rethinking it, what if-. He snapped from his thoughts as your and Theos voices echoed through the once loud dorms.
His heartbeat slowed as you and Theo filed into his room. "But Jack Sparrow has pirate clothes" you told Theo, waving your hands as emphasis. "But he threatened Elizabeth!" Theo exclaimed. Draco smiled to himself at their antics. "So, Elizabeth could have done something if she wanted!" Theo rolled his eyes at your statement. "You two can fight over pirates of the caribbean another time" Draco finally stepped in. Whining could be heard from you and Theo. You plopped down on Draco's bed dramatically & a grumbling Theo went to get your bags from the slytherin common room.
Draco went to sit next to you on the bed and you scooted down to make room. You leaned over to the nightstand to get some Bobby pins, as you started to pin up Draco's hair. When Theo came back you had moved away from Draco and you motioned for Theo to sit down so you could do his hair too. Draco just watched you, enjoying how natural it was between the both of you. Draco came over and sat on the couch with his back against the arm of the couch, looking at the both of you. Draco gave Theo a look that could only be described as fond before turning to watch you.
————————♡————
When you finished Theos hair you looked at the clock and realized that you had lost track of the time. Theo sat up, yawning as Draco went into the prefect washroom to change. A few minutes later he came out wearing gray sweatpants with a tight white shirt. Your eyes widened and Theo chuckled at your expression. "What are you staring at?" Draco asked and you quickly shook your head. As Draco went back to the couch, Theo grabbed a towel and went into the washroom Draco exited just moments before. Leaving you alone with Draco. Just as you sat up about to make up an excuse and run down to the empty common room, Draco stepped in front of you and pinned your wrists to the wall. After he let go of your wrists, Draco slowly pressed his body against you until his chest was touching yours. You gulped quietly. Draco ran a hand through his pale blond hair and traced patterns onto your hips as you shivered slightly. As if to emphasize his point Draco began peppering kisses along your neck. Slowly, softly, and gently kissing his way down to your breast, and then stopping and looking up at you. He pulled away but didn't take his eyes off of yours. "I missed you'' he murmured as he leaned in closer to you. With those soft words, Draco brushed his nose against yours and softly kissed you. His lips moving slowly against yours. When they broke apart, Draco put both of his hands on either side of your head as he brought you close again to capture your lips again. After several minutes of kissing you broke away, gasping as you did. As soon as Draco stopped kissing you, Theo came out of the bathroom with only a navy towel wrapped around his waist.
Theo ran a hand through wet auburn locks, and as he opened the door further steam flowed into the dorm. He paused briefly to take in the sight and sighed as he looked at his lovers. "Are you going to keep making out or come help me unpack our stuff?" Theo asked and the pair moved apart. Draco got up to go help Theo with unpacking his trunk while you grabbed your duffel and rooted around for some pajamas, when you had grabbed an old shirt of dracos and a pair of Theos boxers you scurried into the bathroom. You slammed the door shut and leaned against it as you tried to slow your heart. Still feeling hot and bothered from your make-out session with Draco mere minutes ago, you changed into your pj's, splashed some water on your face and made your way back into the dorm. Just as you were stepping out of the bathroom, you ran into Draco, who was holding a large box wrapped in striped paper. Draco steadied you by putting his hands on your upper arms. "Everything alright?" Draco whispered. His breath tickling your skin. You nodded lightly, a blush creeping across your cheeks, as you slipped out of draco's arms and moved to put your laundry in the basket. While you were bending down you felt two arms wrapping around your waist, "Hi, Love" Theo whispered into your neck. The sound of his rugged voice made your thighs clench together something that did not go unnoticed by the man above you. Before you knew it you felt dracos lips ghost over your neck and collarbone.  You gasped, "Draco," and he nipped your shoulder lightly as he left hickey's behind. Theo must have slipped away moments before because the sound of Theo's throat clearing behind you both brought you back to reality. "Right, we're supposed to be unpacking. Sorry we were...busy" Draco's face turned pink as he spoke. You could feel your cheeks heating up as well.
After you and Draco finish helping Theo unpack your things, Draco slips into bed saying he's had a long day. But you and Theo aren't all that tired so you pull out Uno, one of the muggle card games Draco keeps in his dorm. “Yes! How's it feel to lose, Nott?” you whisper yell after winning five out of the six games the pair of you had played.  Theo rolls his eyes and rises from the carpet to stretch, “Come on love, it's eleven thirty. Bedtime.” you relent and take his outstretched hand. Slipping into bed you curl around Theos body and fall into a peaceful sleep.
——————♡——————————
You're met with the heavenly sight of a groggy & very much shirtless Theo Nott when you wake up. A contagious grin spreads across his face upon noticing you had woken up. Moments later draco waltzes in rather ungracefully while balancing three plates of food. After breakfast Theo leads you down to the common room, and Draco walks in with the same striped box you saw earlier. You're immediately suspicious of what the boys are up to, reluctantly you sit on the couch and watch as Theo & Draco exchange secretive looks. They sit on either side of you and Draco passes you the box looking at you expectantly, hesitantly you begin to unwrap the box.
Once the striped paper is ripped off, you begin to open the box. “WAIT!” Theo says, wearing a panicked expression “Geez, what Theo?” you ask concerned. He doesn't answer but instead darts up to the dorm and comes back moments later holding a polaroid camera. You sigh and begin to open the box once more, this time you're not interrupted. Taking out the mounds of tissue paper, your expression melts into one of complete love. You remove the silver locket to have a closer look. You open the locket engraved on the inside are the initials D.M and T.N .

Tumblr media
You turn towards Hermione, biting your nails anxiously. “Y/n..you really should stop worrying,” Hermione said, putting her hand on your shoulder in comfort. “Draco is crazy for you, and you only. You should know this. He wouldn’t be into pug-nosed Pansy.” She chuckled, trying to lighten your mood. But you couldn’t help but be worried. You were at a party in the Slytherin common room, celebrating the start of yet another school year at Hogwarts. “I can’t help it. The way they talk with each other. She’s beautiful, not pug-nosed.”
You mutter. “I understand, they’ve been friends since the first year. But I can’t help but feel that she wants him, you know?” You explain. Hermione sighs. “I suppose I see what you mean. I’m sorry y/n. Maybe you should try to include yourself in their conversation?” She suggests. You bite your bottom lip, trying to decide if that’s a smart idea. “Yeah, okay. Thank you, Hermione. I’ll see you later I’m sure.” You say, trying to sound optimistic. You each give each other a kiss on the cheek and you make your way over. Pansy spots you from the corner of her eye and immediately scoffs. Draco looks over at you and smiles immediately, his eyes lighting up.
“Babygirl, there you are.” He says, wrapping his arm around your waist. You are immediately able to take a deep breath of relief. Okay, Y/n. He’s open about you two being together in front of her. That’s a good sign. You think to yourself in your head. Pansy rolls her eyes at your boyfriend's comment. “Draco, we were in the middle of discussing something private. Y/n, hasn’t your mother taught you any better? Oh, wait. She walked out in you and your father. Who could blame her really?” Pansy chuckles, looking at Draco for approval. He just looks at her, clenching his jaw. You stand there, shocked. “I- ’m sorry.” You say, looking down at your shoes, without saying another word, you start to walk away from Draco. “Baby, don’t go please,” Draco begins to speak but you put a hand up. “Draco, she’s right. I was rude. You can finish talking about whatever the hell you two want. Just like how she can speak to me, however, the hell she wants, even in front of you.” You snap, loud enough that people around you are starting to notice. “You’re dramatic y/n. And besides. Draco and I have been friends for years. Hell. We’re practically soulmates.” Pansy says, with a cruel, twisted smile on her pug-nosed-looking face. Your eyes start to burn, looking at Draco and waiting if he has anything else to say. “Pansy.” he simply says in a stern voice, looking over at her. Pansy simply gives him puppy dog eyes, “I’m sorry, Draco, she’s just being rude!” She pouts. You’re done. You immediately turn around, heading towards your dorm. You fail to notice Draco fighting through the crowd of people, trying to get to you. You enter your dorm room and shut the door. Tears fall down your cheeks. You hear a knock at the door. "Y/n, baby. Please open up. I am so sorry about what Pansy said. It was fucked up." Draco's voice came through the door. "Go away." You sob out. "Baby. Please. Let me in, talk to me about how you're feeling."
You reluctantly opened the door. You sniffled, not looking him in the eye. "Honey, I am so sorry-" Draco started but you put your hand up to silence him, again. "Let me talk, you listen. That's what you're here for, no?" You asked, now looking him in the eye. Somehow, Draco wished you still didn't have eye contact with him. He looked away from your gaze, from the guilt of what he had just allowed to happen. After a moment of silence, he nodded. "Draco, I am not the jealous type. I had told you that since before we started dating. I do not care about how Pansy feels about you," You begin to say, allowing him into your dorm and shutting the door behind him. "My issue is how she treats me. And how you let it happen. Let me repeat again, I am not the jealous type. However, you don't correct her when she refers to you both as being soulmates. Do you know how many times she's said that to me, or- honestly to every goddamn student in this school?" You ask, looking up at him. "She says it quite a lot, actually." Draco murmurs. "But she's lying. We are not anywhere close to soulmates. She's foul for how she speaks to you."
"Then why don't you defend me?!" You exclaim, frustrated, balling your fists. "Anything to say? Are you scared of hurting her feelings but you're just fine hurting mine? Are you actually in love with her-" "No." Draco interrupted. "Then what the hell is the issue? Why can't you treat me like your partner, Draco? Bloody hell we've been together for a year." "I suppose I am afraid of her in a way." Began Draco, breaking eye contact. His eyes start to water. Suddenly, your anger melted away quickly and it turned into concern. "Why, Draco?" You ask, still with a stern tone. "Y/N, when we first got together...Forgive me for bringing this up but everyone was shocked I was with someone who was half-blooded." Draco explained. You flinch at the memories flashing in your head. "You know I am no longer prejudiced towards half-bloods or even muggles. I left that behind when I met you. Unfortunately, some people aren't easily influenced to change their opinions and ways. You know how hateful some can be."
"Pansy is one of those people," Draco continued after taking a deep breath, closing his eyes for a moment. "She can be violent, and not think about her actions fully. I do not want to give her another reason to attack you due to her embarrassment if I stick up for you in front of her. I don't want her to find you and harm you, so I keep my mouth shut. Now that I am saying it out loud it doesn't make as much sense. I just wanted to avoid as much conflict as possible. If Pansy wasn't able to verbally assault you anymore because of me- I didn't want her to turn to anything physical."
"Draco-" You begin to say but he hugs you. "I am so sorry, y/n." He starts to cry. His tears fall in your hair, his arms tightly around you with his head resting on yours. You pull away from him gently and mop up the tears on his face with your sleeve. "I'm sorry for accusing you of loving her," You softly say to him, continuing to wipe the tears. "Baby, you are my one and only. I could never be in love with anyone else, especially her." Draco said with a slightly disgusted face when thinking of Pansy. "From now on, she's no longer a friend of mine. I can wipe her memories, or just simply cut her off. Whatever my baby wants." Draco says, stroking your hair. "Well, let's not wipe anyone's memories."You chuckle. "We can just pretend she doesn't exist then." Said Draco, smiling down at you.
You and Draco cuddled in your bed, you were laying on top of him, both of your elbows on each side of him holding you up. You both just looked at each other. Giving the other kisses every now and then. Draco was running his hands up and down your back, lifting up the back of your shirt slowly. His fingers slowly glide up and down your spine, giving you chills. You blush, and shyly hide your face in the crook of his neck. You start to leave little kisses and bites on his collarbone, shoulder, all the way up his neck. He hums in pleasure, his hands slowly going down further back eventually to your ass, squeezing it lightly. You moan into his neck, then look at him. "Pansy surely will hear you moaning my name tonight. Maybe she'll get the hint." Draco suggests. "Let's make it happen." You say seductively.

🎉 Party For Two 🎉
🐍DRACO MALFOY X RAVENCLAW READER ONESHOT🐍
You've always heard that Slytherins throw the best parties, but you've never actually attended one... Until tonight. When you and a certain arrogant blonde lock eyes across the room, will sparks fly? Or will it be merely a passing thing...?
• fluff; language; adult themes (drinking, implied smoking, light NSFW)
🎉 For full party experience, I recommend wearing headphones when reading this! Trust me! 😉 🎉

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Your heart beats nervously in your chest as you walk down the corridor, the air getting a bit more chilled the further down you walk. You've never been to this part of the castle before, but you've always found yourself a bit curious. After all, it's not every day that the Slytherins invite a Ravenclaw to their house. You've always heard that they throw great parties, but you've never actually attended one.
Well, at least not until tonight, that is. How exactly did you find yourself in this situation? It had happened rather quickly, after Potions class. One of the Slytherin girls you had become quite friendly with, Pansy Parkinson, had discreetly slipped you a bit of parchment containing an invitation to one of their parties, on the way out of class.
Her coy smile and flirty little wink had been more than enough to convince you that no, you in fact were not going nuts, she actually had just invited you to a Slytherin party. So now you find yourself standing outside the rather ordinary looking stone wall, behind which was concealed the Slytherin Common Room.
Taking a deep breath, you throw a glance over your shoulder to make sure you weren't followed, before muttering the password in a quiet half-whisper. "Pureblood..."
In response, the stone wall comes to life, the bricks seeming to shift and warp into a solid black door, which you tug open, slipping inside. Almost immediately, the sound of heavy, thumping bass music greets your ears, intermixed with the loud chatter of students who have full intentions of staying up long past their curfew.
A hesitant little smile flits across your face as you take a few steps further into the room, your eyes searching for a familiar face. A relieved sigh slips from your lips as Pansy comes bounding up to you, a wide grin on her pretty face. "You made it! Nice of you to show your face, little Ravenclaw!" she shouts over the music, reaching out to grab your hand, tugging you further into the room.
Your eyes widen as you take it all in, your heart pounding in your chest, the beats almost similar to that of the music filling the room. Now you finally understand it, why everyone says the Slytherins throw the best parties. The whole room is bathed in a green light, faint shadows flickering on the walls.
You could swear you see fog or mist of some kind clouding the room, though whether from Muggle fog machines or someone's simple spell, you're not entirely sure. Most of the tables have been moved aside, though the few that remain in the center of the room are littered with bottles of alcohol that you're pretty sure have been illegally smuggled into the school.
In the distance, positioned against one of the far walls, Blaise sits behind what looks like a Muggle's DJ booth, but again, you can't be sure. He happens to lock eyes with you as Pansy leads you further into the room, and he gives you a welcoming nod, accompanied by a light smile. You nod back, too stunned to say anything.
You're still trying to take in all of your surroundings. Overall, the whole effect is... Eerily well done. It definitely gives off the whole party, "let's get drunk and dance til 2am" vibes. Pansy leads you over to one of the tables that have been turned into a makeshift bar, gesturing at the bottles there. "Name your poison, Y/N!" she calls over the music.
You tug your hand free from hers, shaking your head at her. You have no intention of getting drunk tonight, let alone tipsy. Then again, it is the weekend... No, no. Absolutely not. Pansy gives you a look of disbelief, a slight pout forming on her lips. "Oh, come on, little Ravenclaw! Let go and have some fun tonight!" she calls out, reaching for a bottle of what looks like Firewhisky.
Before you can protest, she's already pouring you a glass, handing you the cup. Ha... Solo cup. In bright green. You can't help thinking it's a nice touch, albeit if a little pointless. As you turn to try and protest again, your words die out in your throat. Pansy's already gone, headed back towards where Blaise is at. Well, this is just great.... If only there were a few more familiar, comforting faces here...
As you scan the crowd, you spot a familiar blonde leaning against one of the tables, his cold gaze fixed on the center of the room as he watches everyone else. A cup similar to yours is held in his ring-clad fingers, and a look of boredom sits upon the boy's face. Your heart flutters in your chest as you continue to watch him. Draco... Draco Malfoy...
Almost like your thoughts have caught his attention, he turns his head a little to the left, his gaze meeting yours in an instant. He appears to do a double-take, before one perfect dark brow raises as he continues to stare back at you from across the room. With a nervous half-smile, you quickly avert your gaze, suddenly wishing you could be anywhere but here, right now.
You'd seen Draco Malfoy around the school plenty of times, and while you definitely thought he was pretty cute, you knew that there was absolutely no chance that anything would ever happen between you and the Slytherin boy. It just wasn't done; you were a Ravenclaw, and a Half-Blood, at that. And he... Well, he was a Pureblood, untouchable by practically everyone at the school.
Not even Potter and his little Gryffindor friends could get in good with the blonde boy. Though you had a feeling they wouldn't want to, anyway. In your short few months here as a sixth-year, you had managed to deduce a few things about Draco: he was terribly arrogant, snarky and sarcastic at the best of times, (though carefree and laid-back with his friends), and above all... Hopelessly and undeniably attractive beyond measure.
And it's then you realize with a start that you are, in fact, very much attracted to the Slytherin boy. "What, no! This can't happen?!" you say to yourself, a little confused and slightly outraged. You cannot be falling for Draco Malfoy, of all people. It just couldn't happen... No, not a chance. "Talking to ourselves, are we? That's not a good sign." a familiar voice says, his tone laced with a bit of that signature snarkiness.
Immediately, your gaze flashes up to meet the mercurial eyes of the very boy you were just thinking about. A slight smirk turns up one corner of his mouth, as he raises that green cup up to those perfect rosebud lips, taking a sip of whatever's in the cup. With another smirk, he tilts his head to the side a little, regarding you with a look of equal parts curiosity and amusement.
"So she really did it, then. Our dear Pansy actually invited a Ravenclaw. I'll be honest, I didn't think you'd show up, Y/L/N." he says, an arrogant grin on his face. Oh, this smug little shit...!
You roll your eyes at him, gazing down at your cup. The untouched Firewhisky still sits there, practically begging you to drown your pettiness in it. Maybe it wouldn't hurt, just a little bit... Might give you some liquid courage, to tell Draco what you really think of him. As you go to take a sip, Draco's next words nearly make you choke on your drink.
"Though I have to admit, it is nice to see a new face, other than some of these losers, here. Half of them only showed up because they heard there would be alcohol, not because of who's actually hosting the party." he says. You swallow hard, the alcohol burning on the way down. "And who would that be?" you ask, though you have a feeling you already know the answer to that one.
Draco raises a brow at you, shaking his head in amusement. "And here all you Ravenclaws are supposed to be smart." he says sarcastically. Your heart sinks, and with a brief glare at him, you turn away from Draco, wanting to find Pansy, Blaise, anyone but that blonde git.
Before you can even take one step, a hand grabs ahold of yours, tugging you backwards. "Wait, I'm sorry. That was rude, I know. I just..." the words die out in his throat, as Draco stares down at you. With a sigh, you tug your hand from his, giving him a warning look. He raises one hand in a sign of peace, the green lighting glinting off the ring on his finger.
"Look, it's just... I find you intimidating." Draco suddenly confesses, but his voice is barely audible as a new song starts, the music drowning out his words a little. "What?" you call out, leaning forward a bit. He rolls his eyes at you, taking a step towards you and leaning down so you can hear him better. "I said, I find you intimidating." he repeats, the words much clearer now.
Your eyes widen as you look up at him, seeing yourself reflected in those blue-grey eyes of his. You don't look the least bit intimidating, at least not in your own opinion. Seeing the look on your face, Draco sighs again, running a hand through his ice-blonde locks. "You heard me. You're one of the smartest ones in our classes, other than Granger and myself, obviously. It's unnerving." he calls out.
"You and all the other little Ravenclaws, you lot are irritatingly smart. But you, you're different. You're... You're cute, too. It's infuriating, really." Draco continues. Your mouth nearly drops open in shock; did Draco Malfoy seriously just call you cute?? How are you even supposed to answer that one?? You take another sip from your cup, though the alcohol doesn't burn quite as much on the way down this time.
With a sigh, you raise one eyebrow at Draco. "What, and you're not equally as infuriating?" you call out over the loud music. The blonde boy laughs, a very unexpected reaction to your question. "Darling, I already know I'm infuriating!" he shouts back. Leaning closer, he gives you a wink, before continuing with "But at least now I know you think about me."
This slick git, he thinks he's so damn funny. You open your mouth to tell him what exactly you think of him, but before the words can come out, one of the other Slytherin students lazily approaches you and Draco, a sly grin on his face. As he gets closer, you recognize the boy: Theodore Nott. He was one of the few who occasionally hung around with Draco's crew, a rather skinny boy who was much more laid-back than the people he hung out with.
With another grin, this time directed towards you, he reaches into the back pocket of his trousers, producing a rather worn-looking pack of cigarettes. He offers the carton to you, giving you a wink, but before you can say anything, Draco reaches out, swiftly yanking the pack from Theo's hands. "Don't you dare, she doesn't need those!" he hisses, his blue-grey eyes flashing with a sudden spark of anger.
Theo shrugs, before reaching for the pack of cigarettes, but Draco holds it out of his reach, shaking his head at the boy. "I mean it, Nott. You keep these away from my girl!" he calls out over the music, before returning the cigarettes to the boy. As Theo wanders off in the opposite direction, Draco's words suddenly sink in, making your eyes widen. "My girl". Either this boy has accidentally slipped up, or he actually meant what he said...
"Your girl, huh?" you call out, taking another sip of Firewhisky. Draco rolls his eyes at you, before taking a drink from his own cup. "Shut it, Ravenclaw." he scoffs. You shrug, though you're unable to keep from smirking to yourself. It doesn't go unnoticed by Draco, however. The blonde Slytherin raises a brow at you as he stands there, leaning against one of the tables.
"Are all you Ravenclaws this cheeky? I mean, is there like, a guidebook you all read together? 'How To Be A Smartass, For Dummies'?" Draco asks. Your smirk grows wider as you take another drink, before giving him a light shrug. "I could ask you the same thing. Are all you Slytherins this snarky, or is it just you? Bet you have a user's manual, too." you retort.
To your surprise, Draco looks away towards the center of the room, not answering you for a moment, though you could swear you see him fighting back a smile. When he finally does answer you, there's a hint of playfulness in his tone. "Wow, we're vicious today, aren't we, little Ravenclaw?" he asks. "So uptight, no wonder you lot have no time for fun. You're too busy reading that guidebook, aren't you?" he continues, teasing you a little.
Your cheeks flame pink in a mix of slight embarrassment and outrage. "Shut up, I can let go and have fun whenever I want to!" you shout over the music. Draco laughs, shaking his head at you. "Prove it!" he calls back. You look him straight in the eyes as you down the rest of your drink like a shot, before discarding the empty cup on the table with all the others.
"There, satisfied?" you ask. Draco's jaw tenses, as he sets his cup aside. "No. Come here." he answers, reaching out and grabbing you by the hand, leading you into the center of the room. Dozens of other students, some from Slytherin house and a few others from your own house, are dancing through what you can only assume is a drug and alcohol-fueled haze.
Somewhere in the crowd, you can see Pansy dancing with one of the female Slytherin students, a flirty little smirk on her face. Her eyes meet yours for a moment, and she glances between you and Draco, before giving you a subtle wink and a nod, almost like you've gained her approval. Your cheeks flush a faint pink, and Draco's light laugh recaptures your attention. "She's something else, isn't she, little Ravenclaw?" he asks loudly over the music.
You nod, a bit too embarassed to say anything. That is, until Draco reaches for your other hand, pulling you closer to him. "Wait, what are-?" you start to ask, but he silences you with a shake of his head. "Hush. You think too much, honestly. Just let go, have fun for once. Is that really so difficult?" he asks, raising a brow at you.
Any protests die out in your throat as you stare up into those ocean eyes. Draco gives you a pointed look, before giving your hands a light, seemingly reassuring squeeze. "Y/N. It's alright, really. Trust me, you need this. You'll thank me later." he says. Your heart flutters a little in your chest; this is the first time you think you've ever heard him actually call you by your first name.
It's... Different, nice, comforting. Definitely unexpected, to say the least. With a sigh, you try your hardest to just do as Draco says: relax, let loose, have fun. And by some unspoken miracle, it actually works. Within seconds, you and Draco are dancing just like everyone else, and you find yourself actually starting to have a good time.
As much as you don't want to admit it to yourself, Draco was right. You did need this. One night to just relax, let go of all your worries, and have some fun, curfew and rules be damned. As you dance, your eyes meet Pansy's again, and she grins, mouthing "Way to go, Y/N!" at you.
Draco's scoff sounds from behind you, though you can tell his heart's not really in it, he's not really trying to come across as mean, not this time. "Honestly. Remind me to say something to her later tonight. Or tomorrow." he calls over the loud music. You laugh, turning around to face him, staring up at him.
"Oh, let her have her fun! She's probably just glad that she was even able to get me to come out here, in the first place!" you call back, grinning. Draco rolls his eyes at you, but the faint beginnings of a smile tug at the corners of his mouth. One of his hands grabs ahold of yours again, his fingers intertwining with yours, the metal of his ring cool against your skin.
You nod down at the jewelry, your gaze curious. "I meant to ask, is that something all you Slytherins wear? Or is it just you?" you ask. Draco glances down at the ring for a second, before smirking. "Only a select few of us have one. Tough luck, Y/N, if only you'd been put in Slytherin!" he teases you. You stick your tongue out at him, and he laughs, unable to keep the grin off his face now.
"And they say we're mean!" he calls out, teasing you some more. You blush, and he laughs again. "I'm only kidding. Though I still stand by what I said before, you're a vicious little thing, aren't you?" Draco says, winking down at you. You shrug, trying not to smile. This is the side of Draco that you've only ever seen when he's with his friends, the more carefree, easygoing version of Draco.
It's oddly comforting (if a tad bit unbelievable) that he's showing this side of himself with you. Any other time, you're sure the two of you would have been at each other's throats. Maybe all it took was one good party to set aside a few differences...
"Sickle for your thoughts, darling?" Draco's voice pulls you from your inner musings, and you look up at him with a startled, nervous half-smile. "It's just... I think it's kind of funny. You're never like this unless you're with your friends." you admit. "Like what?" Draco asks, his brows furrowing a little in confusion. You shrug, gazing up at him. "Like... I don't know, soft. Kind. Easy to talk to." you confess.
Draco almost looks taken aback for a moment, as he stares down at you. Then, a hint of a smile flits across his face. "You and everyone else really don't think much of me, do you?" he says, amused. Your cheeks flame pink in embarrassment, and Draco laughs, running his free hand through his hair.
"No, it's okay. I get it. Parkinson and Zabini have kind of told me before, that I come across as... Well, as kind of a bully. Trust me, I don't want to be. But if anyone ever found out..." his voice trails off at the end. "What, that the attractive Slytherin boy has a secret heart of gold?" you tease him. He raises both brows at you, smirking now. "You think I'm attractive?" he asks. You roll your eyes at him, trying not to laugh.
"You're missing the point-" you start, but he shakes his head at you, grinning. "No, I got your point. And I'm flattered, really. Seems you and only a few others actually think that highly of me." he answers. Your smile fades into a frown, and you suddenly find yourself feeling a little sorry for the boy. Seeing the look on your face, Draco reaches down, tucking a loose lock of hair behind your ear.
"Hey, none of that now, darling. Where's that pretty smile from earlier, that sharp wit of yours?" he says. You shake your head at him, a sigh slipping from between your lips. "No, it's just... Now I feel kind of bad for you. Everybody talks mad shit about you, but if they only got to know you, the real you..." your voice fades, the words getting drowned out by the loud music and the chatter of other students.
Draco gently strokes the side of your face with his thumb, a wry little smile on his face. "Don't feel sorry for me, Y/N. I don't want your pity. I just want to see you smile again, I don't want your night ruined. Tch, enough of this. Come on, tonight's not a night to get all sappy with our feelings." he says, giving your hand a firm squeeze.
With that, the two of you go back to dancing just like everyone else, any further conversations slowly being discarded and forgotten as you both try to let loose and have fun. You glance around you, noticing more of the students leaving the area, disappearing off to Merlin-knows-where, most likely to do things they'll come to regret in the morning.
From across the room, you meet Blaise's gaze, and he winks at you, giving you a sly little smile. What is he up to...? Before you can react, you feel someone tugging your hand free from Draco's, pulling you further into the crowd, away from the blonde boy. You turn around to throw a sharp remark at whoever it is, but the words die out in your throat as you see Pansy standing there, her hand in yours and a conspiratorial grin on her face.
As the next song starts, Pansy winks at you, the look on her face similar to that of the one on Blaise's face only a few moments ago. And as the lyrics begin, you suddenly realize just what it is that the two of them are up to. "You and Draco seem to be hitting it off really well!" the Slytherin girl shouts over the music. You blush, nodding. She laughs, before leaning in close, her voice at your ear.
"I think he likes you, too. But I also think I know how we can really drive him over the edge, make him want you even more." she murmurs, her words just barely audible. "Dance with me." she adds, leaning back to grin at you. Seeing the incredulous look on your face, she laughs. "Oh, come on! It'll be great, trust me. He won't be able to stay away from you after this!" she calls out, winking at you again.
You throw a glance over your shoulder at Draco; true to Pansy's words, he's watching the two of you like a hawk, a look of mixed curiosity and wariness in his eyes. Even from here, you can see his jaw tense a little. Trying rather unsuccessfully to hide your smile, you turn to face Pansy again, nodding. "Alright, but just this once!" you call out.
She grins, reaching forward to pat you on the back. "That's our girl!" she shouts, leading you a little further out into the crowd of students. "Just follow my lead!" her voice sounds at your ear again, and you nod. As the beat drops, you do exactly as Pansy has told you, following her lead damn near perfectly.
You cast another quick glance over at Draco, and you're unable to keep the smile off your face as you dance with Pansy, the two of you making it look equal parts seductive and dirty as hell. Even from here, you can see that familiar spark ignite in Draco's eyes, his jaw tensing again as he watches the two of you go at it.
One of his hands clenches into a fist, while the other reaches up to yank his black tie loose from around his neck a little. A laugh rises up from your throat, and you look over your shoulder at Pansy, grinning at her. She smirks back at you, before leaning down and doing the unexpected. Her lips meet yours in the slowest, most seductive of kisses, while her gaze is focused behind you, on Draco.
To your surprise, the whole experience isn't entirely unpleasant, and you soon find yourself kissing her back, knowing full well that Draco is most definitely watching the two of you. You can practically feel the Slytherin boy's gaze burning a hole through your very soul.
As Pansy pulls away to let you breathe, that familiar smirk comes back, making her look very much like the cat that ate the canary. You turn around to face Draco, and you have to bite your lip to keep from laughing out loud. The poor boy looks beyond pissed, though whether at you or Pansy, you haven't the faintest idea. Draco looks positively green with envy. It's rather ironic, really.
You suddenly hear Pansy's voice at your ear again, and her words just make the grin on your face get bigger. "Well, now. I think we've officially wound him up enough, don't you? He looks so damn jealous, I almost feel sorry for him!"
You nod, a laugh slipping from between your lips as you continue to stare across the room at Draco. His jaw tenses again, before he beckons you over with one finger, that spark igniting in his ocean eyes once more. Pansy laughs behind you, before giving you a light push forward. "Go on, my work here is done!" she shouts, laughing.
You shoot her a grateful smile over your shoulder as you leave, and she nods, before turning and wandering off in the opposite direction. As you approach Draco, you can see just how affected he really is by the little show you and Pansy had just put on for him. A tense sort of silence settles between the two of you, before he finally speaks.
"So. I suppose you think you're funny, do you?" he begins. His voice is dangerously calm, despite the look on his face. You swallow hard, your heart skipping a few beats in your chest, as you stare up at him. "I have no idea what you're talking about. Pansy and I were just-" you start, but Draco cuts you off with a shake of his head, an exasperated sigh slipping from between his lips.
"No, I get it, I know damn well what you and Parkinson were up to. Teasing me like that... Yeah, you lot are terribly funny, aren't you? Think you're so damn clever." he retorts. Then, to your surprise, he leans down so you can hear him better, his smooth voice at your ear. "Trust me, angel. You don't need to play her little games to win my approval, not when you already have it."
With that, he takes a step back, smirking down at you. Any tension from before slowly eases up as he stands there watching you. And then his words sink in: his approval. You've... You've somehow miraculously earned the Slytherin boy's approval...? A faint blush colors your cheeks as you take a step towards Draco, tentatively reaching out to place your hand in his.
And he lets you, something that seems wildly, completely out of character for the cold, cruel, untouchable boy with the heart of ice. A heart of ice that has gradually started to thaw out, but only for you. Draco reaches out to stroke the side of your face with his thumb again, like before.
"What in Merlin's name are you thinking about, angel?" he asks, his voice soft and barely able to be heard above the music. Taking a deep breath, you look him in the eyes, wanting to speak only the truth. "You." you confess, blushing again. Draco's eyes widen a fraction, before his smirk is replaced by a gentle smile, the same carefree one from earlier.
"Come on, you silly girl. Dance with me, Y/N." he says. And how could you possibly deny him, when he asks you so beautifully, so nicely? Nodding, you let him take the lead, the two of you dancing in time with the heavy bass of the music filling the Common Room.
You glance down at that ring on his finger again, and Draco laughs. "Maybe if you're extra nice to me, I'll let you borrow it, alright?" he says. Your eyes dart up to meet his, and he winks at you, a playful grin on his face. You smile back at him, a sort of comforting, peaceful kind of warmth settling deep within your chest. It was kind of funny, when you thought about it.
If anyone had told you a week ago that you would be dancing with Draco Malfoy, and flirting with him...! You would have told that person they were crazy, and to go wake up from the dream world they were living in. But now... Now it didn't really seem so impossible; maybe Draco wasn't truly as bad as people made him out to be... He couldn't be, not when he was this way with you, so nice and gentle and even a tad playful.
"Y/N, angel. Honestly, you think too much." Draco's voice sounds at your ear, pulling you back into the present. You blush, and bite your bottom lip to hold back a tiny smile. With his free hand, Draco reaches up to gently tug it free, his thumb lingering there just a little too long, brushing softly across your lip, before he places his hand lightly against the side of your face.
You lean into his touch, and that's when you see it, out of the corner of your eye: the faint dark edge of what looks like a Muggle tattoo, peeking out from the bottom of the left sleeve of his white button-down shirt. With a curious frown, you reach up with your free hand to push the sleeve of his shirt back, and Draco's hand suddenly tenses around yours. "Angel, please...." he murmurs, the music nearly drowning out his quiet plea.
Your eyes lift to meet his, and you're taken aback by how much pain you suddenly see within those blue-grey depths. Draco swallows hard, his jaw tensing just the tiniest bit as his gaze flickers to look back and forth once between his arm and your face. There's almost a silent plea hidden within the expression on his beautiful face, like he's begging you not to look, not to see what's hidden underneath the sleeve of his shirt.
"It's okay, Dray..." you whisper, before pushing the sleeve of his shirt up a little more, revealing the dark ink beneath. Your eyes widen a little as you stare down at it, at the instantly recognizable Dark Mark inked into Draco's pale, smooth skin. Pulling your other hand from his, you trace over the Mark with your fingertips, your breath hitching in your throat.
So it was true, then... What you'd once overheard Potter and his little Gryffindor friends speculating about. Draco really had become a Death Eater. But, surely he hadn't made the choice willingly...? Swallowing hard, you stare up at the boy, your heart pounding in your chest. And with one hand, you reach up to touch the side of his face, like he did yours.
"This doesn't change anything. You'll still always be the same arrogant, hopelessly attractive Slytherin that I've slowly found myself falling for tonight..." you tell him softly. You're not sure if he's heard you, but then one corner of his mouth lifts in a bit of a rueful little half-smile.
"I like the way you see me, little Ravenclaw." he murmurs, his gaze softening a bit. With that, he places his hand over yours, moving it down from his face to rest at your side, his fingers intertwining with yours. His other hand moves around to rest at your lower back, gently pulling you closer to him as a new song starts, something a little slower and sweeter.
The gesture is again, so completely out of character for him, but for once, you don't really care. You've grown quite fond of this side of Draco, within the short amount of time you've spent with him. Leaning forward, you rest your head on his shoulder, and you could swear you hear him murmur, "That's it, my darling girl..."
He pulls you a little closer to him, his thumb tracing soothing little patterns on your lower back, and he rests his chin on your shoulder, as the two of you dance in time with the music. All around you, a few of the other students have done the same thing, pairing up with one another and setting aside their differences for one evening, dancing like tomorrow will never come.
For all you know, it might well not. But that was perfectly fine. Because for one solitary evening, you had managed to actually enjoy yourself, to actually be able to let go and have some fun for once. And perhaps best of all, you had gotten to see a side of Draco that very few other people would ever get to see... The more vulnerable side of him, the playful, kind-hearted side of him.
With a sigh, you relax further into Draco's embrace, and to your surprise, he presses a soft kiss to the back of your neck. You lift your head to stare up at him, a curious look on your face. "What was that for?" you ask. Draco shrugs, staring down at you, his mercurial eyes darkening a little.
"It's just... Well, because despite me not wanting to, I suppose I've found myself falling for you too, little Ravenclaw..." he murmurs, giving you a wry smile. You stare up at him in shock, before a tiny smile of your own slowly spreads across your face. "And here I thought you said tonight wasn't a night to get all sappy with our feelings?" you tease him in a whisper.
His smile disappears in an instant, his cheeks flushing a faint pink. "Yes, well, I take it back, okay? Don't make me get all hot and bothered like this, angel. It doesn't suit me." he mutters. You laugh, leaning up on your tiptoes to press a soft kiss to his cheek. "Oh, on the contrary. I think it suits you rather well." you whisper in his ear, before pulling back to grin up at him.
His mouth twitches in a little smirk, before he suddenly leans down, kissing you gently on the mouth. The way Draco kisses you isn't like how Pansy kissed you earlier, not by any means. This is sweeter, more loving, more heartfelt. He tastes of green apples, peppermint, and Firewhisky, an almost heady combination when mixed with the scent of his cologne, which holds the faint notes of sage and cedarwood, and something a bit darker underneath.
You kiss him back, reaching up with one hand to lightly tangle your fingers in his hair, tugging softly. A hushed groan falls from his lips, and he kisses you harder, more urgently, almost like he's afraid he'll lose you at any moment. Likewise, you have the same feeling, like this is all just one big dream and at any minute, you'll wake up in your bed in the Ravenclaw girls' dormitories.
But no, it's not a dream, not at all. Draco's hand on your lower back tightens its grip a little, and he tugs your bottom lip between his teeth, biting softly. You let a quiet, breathless moan fall from your lips, and your fingers tug at his hair again. "Y/N, angel...!" Draco gasps out, before kissing you one last time. You release your grip on him, and with that, he pulls away to let the two of you catch your breath.
One look at him, and you know he's just as affected by the kiss as you are. From somewhere in the room, you can hear a few impressed whistles, but you ignore them, instead keeping your gaze fixed on the impossibly beautiful blonde boy in front of you. His cheeks are that faint pink color again, as he leans down to place one more soft kiss on your lips, before pulling back to gaze down at you.
"We just... That just-" he struggles to get the words out, and you cut him off with a nod. "I know..." you breathe. He lets out a breathless laugh, before tugging on your hand and leading you over to one of the couches in front of the fireplace. He sits down, tugging you down with him to sit on his lap, with you facing him.
"Tell me something, little Ravenclaw. Where does this leave us?" Draco asks. That word, "us", makes your heart react strangely, the beats becoming a little sporadic for a moment. With a nervous smile, you shrug. "Wherever you want it to." you answer in a whisper, staring down at him. He raises both brows at you, those ocean eyes darkening to an almost stormy grey color.
"You promise?" he whispers back, tugging his bottom lip between his teeth for a moment, before letting it go. You nod, knowing full well that you truly mean it. If he in any way feels the same way about you that you now do about him, then you have a feeling things will work out perfectly. Indeed, Draco's face lights up in a soft smile, as he leans up to kiss you on the mouth again.
"And here I always thought all you Ravenclaws had a smart mouth on you. Guess I was wrong." he teases you softly. You smirk against his lips, trying not to laugh. "Oh, just you wait. We still do, you just haven't seen it, yet." you tease him back. He grins, kissing you one last time before leaning back against the couch. "There it is." he says with a wink.
You playfully swat at him, before lying down against his chest, resting your head on his shoulder. Involuntarily, you let out a yawn, and Draco gently pats you on the back. "You wanna get out of here, angel? Go get some sleep? It's late, it's nearly one in the morning." he murmurs in your ear.
This is news to you; you didn't even realize just how much time had passed since you had first set foot into this party. You nod, and start to climb off Draco's lap, but he shakes his head at you, gently pushing you back down so you're lying atop him again. He then stands up, carrying you in his arms.
"Alright, let's get out of here, darling. You can spend the night in my dorm, it's far too late to try and sneak back into yours." he whispers in your ear. You nod again, suddenly too tired to say anything more. As Draco carries you towards the stairs, you notice Pansy standing over by Blaise again. She looks up then, her gaze meeting yours, and a light smile flits across her face.
She gives you a parting wave, and Blaise nods at you, a smile on his face too, as he also waves at you. You weakly lift one of your hands in a failed attempt at a wave, as Draco carries you up the stairs, towards his dorm. Halfway up the stairs, you let out another yawn.
Draco laughs softly as he walks down the short hallway, stopping in front of a thick wooden door. With one hand, he reaches out to open the door, before stepping into the room and closing it behind him. Almost instantly, the sound of the still-ongoing party downstairs is cut off, leaving you and Draco in a comfortable silence.
He sets you down gently on his bed, a fairly large four-poster adorned with satin sheets in the most lovely shade of dark green, and slowly strides over to the wardrobe by the window, opening one of the doors and taking something out of it. A moment later, he returns to stand in front of you, holding out one of his T-shirts.
"Here. You can borrow this, I promise it'll be more comfortable than what you've got on right now. My private bathroom is just through there." he says, gesturing towards a darkened doorway to the right of the room. You nod sleepily, taking the shirt and slowly making your way into the bathroom, closing the door behind you.
As you get undressed and tug Draco's shirt on over your head, a sleepy little smile turns up one corner of your mouth. You glance at your reflection in the bathroom mirror, noting how Draco's shirt is just a tad too big for you, and your smile grows a little wider. Retrieving your dress from the floor, you turn out the bathroom light, exiting the room.
Draco is standing there by the wardrobe again, now wearing nothing but a pair of dark green boxers. He's facing away from you, but he turns around when he hears your footsteps. Your breath nearly hitches in your throat as you stand there, staring at him in awe. He's rather pretty to look at, all toned abs and muscles that look like they might've been sculpted by the gods.
He smirks when he catches you staring at him, and a faint blush colors his cheeks. "Don't look at me like that, angel." he murmurs, embarassed. You blush, before holding up your dress. "Sorry, you're just... You're something else. Um... Where should I...?" you start, trailing off at the end.
Draco nods towards the floor by the wardrobe, as he tugs a shirt on over his head. "You can just leave it there. We'll figure something out tomorrow morning. For now... Let's get our pretty girl to bed, yeah?" he says softly, taking a step towards you. You nod, another yawn slipping unbidden from your mouth.
With the gentlest of touches, Draco picks you up, carrying you over to the bed and setting you down. After climbing in beside you, he leans over to put out the bedside light, leaving the two of you in complete darkness. You can feel him hesitantly scoot closer to you, wrapping an arm around you and holding you close to him. "Is this alright?" he whispers.
Too tired to say anything, you simply place your hand over his, letting his fingers entangle themselves with yours. In response, Draco presses a soft kiss to the back of your head, before letting out a contented sigh. "Goodnight, little Ravenclaw. Sleep well, angel..." he murmurs. As you lie there in his embrace, your eyes gradually begin to close, until you're falling asleep, your thoughts filled with images of a smiling, carefree Draco...
Tumblr media
"Morning, angel... Time to wake up." a smooth, familiar voice says in your ear. Slowly, your eyes open, and you yawn, stretching out with a soft groan. Someone laughs from beside you, and when you look over your shoulder to your right, you see Draco sitting there in bed, gazing down at you with a light smile on his face.
Your heart flutters in your chest as you roll over in bed to face him, smiling tentatively back at him. So it wasn't a dream, then. You really had spent the night with Draco Malfoy... In his bed. In his arms. Vague memories of the night before come flooding back, and you find yourself suddenly biting back a smile. You truly had let go and had fun last night... And confessed your real feelings about Draco to the Slytherin boy himself.
And he had confessed that he felt the same way. And then... And then you two had kissed. A faint blush colors your cheeks, and Draco laughs again. "What's on our mind this morning, darling?" he asks. With an embarassed little smile, you shrug. "You." you confess. Draco's face lights up in a smile, as he leans down to kiss you softly on the mouth.
"Yeah? Tell me all about it, little Ravenclaw." he teases you. You sit up, running one hand through your hair. "Oh, I'd love to, but don't we have classes today? It's Monday, right?" you answer. Draco's grin turns into a smirk, as he scoots closer to you, pulling you into his arms. "Nope. Today's only Sunday, angel." he says.
Oh... Then that means... Oh. With a relieved sigh, you rest your head on Draco's shoulder, beginning to tell him all about how you couldn't stop thinking of him. And as you do so, you can't help feeling extremely grateful for the day that lies ahead. Thank Merlin it was only Sunday...
Theodore Nott has always had an affinity for the stars.
When he was younger, Theo's mother used to take him to the rooftop of Nott Manor and point out the constellations to him. The stars told stories, his mum had said. Theo listened with rapt attention as she recounted the tales of Aquila, Heracles, and Orion as they glittered against the backdrop of the English countryside.
The two of them would make an entire evening out of it. Laying on his back atop a nest of blankets and pillows, little Theo watched as the stars climbed higher and higher, filling the horizon with hope and light. Stargazing had been their special secret. The one thing that wasn’t tainted by his abusive father. Theo guarded the memory of those nights in his heart like a priceless treasure.
After his mother’s passing, Theo continued their tradition of stargazing. Even if she was no longer alive, all he had to do was look up at the sky to feel her with him. For that reason, the stars were special to him and he’d never shared its meaning with anyone.
Until tonight.
“Watch your step, cara mia.” Theo said as he guided you by the small of your back.
The dark cloth covering your eyes prohibited you from seeing, but you trusted your boyfriend to keep you from falling. Though you weren’t a fan of surprises, Theo was impossible to resist. All he had to do was flash those pretty watercolor eyes at you and you were an absolute goner.
For you, Theo had always been the exception.
He guided you up a staircase, keeping a firm grip on your waist as the two of you ascended. Wherever you were going, it was pretty high up. You smiled as Theo took hold of your waist, knowing that you weren't the biggest fan of heights. Sometimes it felt like he knew you better than you knew yourself. When you reached the top, Theo unfastened his tie from behind your head.
“You can open your eyes now, sweetheart.”
You blinked, letting your eyes adjust to the dark. The wind whistled through the stone arches of the Astronomy Tower, framing the starkissed night with its marble pillars. The soft glow of the moon illuminated the nest of blankets and pillows arranged in the middle of the wooden floor.
“Did you do all of this for me, babe?”
Theo smiled. “I thought you might like to go stargazing with me,” he said, his voice soft. “Do you like it, my love?”
“I love it, Teddy.” You beamed, standing on your tiptoes to kiss his nose. “But not nearly as much as I love you.”
Theo grinned before pulling you in for a proper kiss. His lips were soft against yours and he tasted like peppermint. Butterflies erupted in your stomach as your knees buckled slightly. Theo never failed to make you feel like a lovestruck school girl. It never stopped feeling like this despite how many times you kissed this boy.
As if reading your thoughts, Theo smiled against your lips. “Come on, Y/N. I want to show you my favorite constellations.”
The two of you laid down beneath the stars, making yourself comfortable amidst the blankets and pillows. Wordlessly, Theo pulled you into his arms and you nestled into the crook of his neck, breathing in the familiar scent of sea salt spray and sun kissed skin.
“Tell me the story of the stars, Teddy.”
He smiled, brushing your hair back. “That one right there is Ursa Major. Otherwise known as the Big Dipper, but if you look at the entire constellation, it actually forms a bear.”
“I remember learning about that when I was little,” you said, gazing up at the sky. “Didn’t it have something to do with Zeus?”
Theo nodded. “In Greek mythology, the Olympian God Zeus fell in love with Callisto and got her pregnant. After she gave birth to the child, Hera was so mad she turned Callisto into a bear.”
“That hardly seems fair,” you responded with a frown.
“Zeus was a bit of a wanker,” Theo said in agreement. “Hera was even worse. She cursed Callisto to wander the forest for years in bear form until she was hunted by her own son Arcas. Just as he raised his spear to strike her down, Zeus stepped in and sent them up to the heavens. Callisto as Ursa Major and Arcas as Bootes.”
“The Greek gods were truly a piece of work,” you replied. “But at least we got those constellations out of them."
You squinted, pointing at the cluster of stars hovering in the east. “What’s that one?”
“That’s the constellation of Leo,” explained Theo. “Named after the Nemean lion that Heracles defeated during the first of his twelve labours.”
“Didn’t he make a cloak out of the lion’s pelt?”
“Smart girl,” Theo said proudly. “The cloak made Heracles invincible and more fearsome than he already was. The Nemean lion’s heart is made up of the star Regulus, which is associated with the arrival of spring.”
“The Little King. I read that it burns hotter than the sun.”
Theo couldn’t help but smile. Before he met you, he never thought he’d find someone to share such a special and intimate thing with. He was worried that no one else would understand his love for the stars, but as he watched you peer curiously up at the sky, your nose scrunched in careful concentration, Theo felt all of his doubts fade away.
“Regulus is unique because it can be seen in both the Northern and Southern hemispheres.”
The blue star glittered brightly above your heads, as if it was showing off for the occasion. “It’s beautiful,” you breathed.
Theo stared at you, at the childlike wonder shimmering in your eyes, and he felt like the breath had been knocked out of his lungs. The gravity of what he felt for you hit him all at once.
“Yeah,” Theo said softly, still looking at you. “Beautiful.”
You grinned, intertwining your fingers and kissing his knuckles. “How do you know so much about the stars, Teddy?”
“My mum taught me.” Theo answered, drawing circles on your hip. “When I was little, she used to take me to the rooftop of the manor and tell me the story behind each star. She was fascinated by them. Before she met my father, she wanted to teach astronomy at the Stati Magia.”
“The Italian School of Witchcraft?”
Theo nodded. “My mother attended the Stati Magia, just like her mother and her mother before her. A tradition that I unintentionally broke, as nonna Lucia loves to remind me. Sometimes I think the old bat wishes that I was born a strega instead.”
You giggled. “You would’ve been a very pretty witch.” Theo chuckled as you propped your head up in one hand. “Did your mum end up becoming a professor?”
“No,” Theo said sadly. “After I was born, my father said that her place was at the manor. He refused to move to Florence, even though he knew it was my mother’s dream.”
You stroked his hair, nodding emphatically. Theo rarely talked about his mother. You knew that her passing was a painful subject for him, so you never pushed him to talk about it unless he wanted to.
“That’s awful. I’m so sorry, my love,” you said. “But at least she was able to pass down her love of the stars to you. In a way, she lived her dream by teaching you.”
A soft smile tugged at your boyfriend’s lips. “I suppose she did.”
You laid back down, but this time you cradled Theo against you. He rested his head against your chest, listening to the calming sound of your heartbeat. Talking about his mother will always be hard, but you helped ease the pain.
“What about those stars?” You asked, pointing to the north. “What did your mother tell you about them?”
“Perseus and Andromeda,” Theo answered. “Those are actually her favorites.”
“The chained maiden.”
Theo stirred, inclining his gaze to the horizon. “Andromeda was the Princess of Aethiopia, the daughter of King Cepheus and Queen Cassiopeia. She was said to be very beautiful. Her mother bragged that Andromeda was fairer than the Nereids, which angered Poseidon. As punishment, the Sea God sent the creature Cetus to ravage that coast of their kingdom.”
You nodded, recalling the story. “King Cepheus chained her to a rock and offered her as a sacrifice to appease the sea monster.”
“Luckily for Andromeda, the hero Perseus found her before Cetus could attack again. Perseus fell in love with Andromeda and defeated the monster so he could free the princess. They ended up marrying and became king and queen of Mycenae. When they died, the goddess Athena placed them side by side in the heavens so that they would never be parted, not even by death.”
“A love written in the stars,” you said with awe and wonder. “I can see why it’s your mother’s favorite.”
“When I was a boy, she told me that she hoped I’d experience a love like theirs, minus the sea monster of course.” You chuckled. Theo knit his brows together like he did when he was deep in thought. When he spoke again, his voice was barely audible. “It’s sad to think that she never found her Perseus.”
You brushed his hair back, running your fingers through his curls gently. “She might not have found her Perseus, but she did have her Theo.”
Theo turned over and looked at you. The intensity in his gaze made you shiver. He was so ingrained in your heart that it felt inaccurate to continue calling it yours.
“After she died, I never thought I’d share her stories with anyone again, but I’m glad I shared them with you.”
“Thank you for trusting me, Theo.” You said as you placed a kiss on his temple. “It means the world to me that you not only shared your mother’s stories, but her memory as well. I would’ve loved to meet her.”
The tender smile on Theo’s face was heartbreaking. Then softly, he whispered. “She would’ve loved you, Y/N.”
Your heart cracked open, his words spilling like sunlight over every crevice, warming you from the inside out.
Tears formed at the corners of your eyes, but you forced yourself to give Theo a watery smile. “Because I’m a nerd who memorized obscure mythological facts?”
Your boyfriend smiled. “No,” he said gently, caressing your cheek. “Because you made her wish come true. You are my love written in the stars, cara mia.”
The moonlight kissed Theo’s tan skin, the silver beams caressing his face like a lover as if the moon and the stars craved to commit his beauty to memory as badly as you did. Gods, he was breathtaking.
This was the Teddy you knew and loved. Your Teddy.
Those watercolor eyes shimmered with emotion. “Sometimes I think the gods made you just for me, like our souls are linked in a way that neither logic nor magic can explain. Whatever it is, I think I’ve loved you since before the heavens and the earth existed and I’m fairly certain that I’d still love you even after the last star falls out of the sky.”
“You’re the love of my life, Theodore Nott.” Tears streamed down your cheeks as this boy—this beautiful boy ensnared your mind, body, and soul. “I’d find you in any universe and in any galaxy. Maybe someday we’ll be immortalized in the stars too.”
Theo held your face in his hands. His expression was open and vulnerable, like he wasn’t afraid to lay himself bare before you. As if it was the most natural thing in the world.
“We’re two halves of a whole,” Theo said. “I loved you yesterday. I love you today and I’ll love you tomorrow. You’re it for me, Y/N. You and no one else.”
“You and no one else, Teddy.”
Under the constellations of the star crossed lovers, Theo kissed you so gently that it made your heart ache. As Andromeda and Perseus kept watch over the horizon, Theodore Nott knew one thing for certain.
Someday the stars would tell your story too.
