an: i hope you enjoy this malleus birthday special

the ramshackle prefect made their way to the mirror room, on their way to give the briar prince his birthday present. after all, it would be horrendous to miss their signifcant others birthday.

a smile plastered to their face as they walked into the dorm, and immedietly spotting lilia decorating the dorm for the occasion.

"well hello there prefect!" he beamed from his place of hanging upside on the ceiling to hang a banner. y/n chuckled softly.

"hi lilia, where would i find the birthday boy?"

"ah, malleus is in his room right now. i assume you know the way?" the prefect nodded. "good good. im sure he will enjoy your company. "

"i sure hope so" the prefect nodded again before making their way to see the dragon fae. when they arrive outside the door, they knocked.

"enter" they opened the door to spot their partner in his birthday outfit, and their heart melted slightly, as he smiled at them. "well hello there beloved. to what do i owe the pleasure?"

"what? must i have a reason to see my boyfriend?" the dragon approached, setting his hands on their waist.

"no, you certainly do not," the prefect instinctively wrapped their arms around his neck, as he kissed them softly. it didnt last long before he pulled away. "i have a request of you today, though, darling. " the prefect nodded.

"anything you wish, my prince. " he playfully scrunched his nose at the name, before relaxing it and tilting his head.

"could you play with i hair?" the prefect blinked at him. "i heard its a thing couples do and im curious what it will feel like."

"yeah, i can play with your hair for you, mal, lets go sit down so i can reach it better. " he nodded, pulling away to pull them to sit on his bed, before the prefect gestured for him to rest his head on their lap, which he did.

y/n gently set their hands in his hair, running their fingers through his scalp softly, as he closed his eyes at the feeling. they gently tossled his hair as they went along, enjoying the feeling. his hair was cool, but not uncomfortabley, especially against his warm scalp. they watched him lovingly and curiously, making sure they were doing a good job.

which was when they heard him purr. their eyes widened as they stopped, smiling down at him, who looked at them in return. "did you just purr?"

"i did no such thing, beloved. i am a lizard, we do not purr. "

"i just heard you purr."

"you must be hearing things child of man." he hummed lovingly, reaching for their hand and returning it to his hair, as they chuckled and returned to their motions.

"i love you malleus, happy birthday."

"thank you, y/n my darling."

Sebek Zigvolt had no idea what was about to hit him. It was just a normal day at NRC, like any other. It didn’t foretell any of the trouble that would soon befall him.

One minute he was on his way to his room.

The next he was practically pinned against the wall.

You were staring him down, one hand next to his head, effectively caging him in. He swallowed thickly at your actions. Your very presence was intimidating yet it stirred to life the butterflies in his stomach. The same butterflies that have confused him for the past month.

Did he have a crush on you? Who’s to say? He had never had feelings like this before. Sure he was absolutely obsessed with Malleus, but this felt different. And with you staring at him like that, those different feelings were getting harder to ignore. Either way, Sebek found that he was at a loss for words.

“Where are you going?”

“To-to my room.” He breathed.

You hummed, eyes scanning his face up and down, even glancing at the dark blush that was slowly creeping up his neck. He was frozen solid under your gaze. It felt as if he made one wrong move and he’d regret it.

“Why?”

“I need to study.” He tried not to make it sound so pathetic. It felt like that would be the wrong move to make.

“All by yourself?”

“Yes, of course.”

Sebek was honestly a little impressed that he was keeping his voice so steady as his heart beat erratically in his chest. To him, he sounded more confident than he felt. But he wasn’t sure if you thought the same.

“I see.” He shivered as your fingers traced his jawline. Your touch was so soft. He almost whimpered, but he swallowed it quickly. “You know, I am falling behind in Enigmics and you’re one of the best in the class. Maybe you could give me a few pointers?”

Now, if you were asking him any other way than you were right now, he would have dismissed the opportunity. It was no concern of his how you were doing in your studies. He was busy with his own work, attending to Malleus, and being a part of the equestrian club. There was no time to help a fellow classmate with their own schoolwork. Even if he did feel a strong attraction to you.

However, this wasn’t a usual request. You had deliberately cornered him and were using his attraction against him. His mind was slow to catch up with the words you were saying and what he would be agreeing to if he said yes. And he really wanted to say yes to you right now.

“Oh?”

You nodded, dragging your thumb over his bottom lip now and leaning in closer. “Like I said, you’re at the top of the class for Enigmics.”

With your lips only a breath away from his, Sebek found himself leaning in. This was crazy. He knew how crazy he was being. Just because someone attractive was showing him attention did not mean he needed to give in to his desires. However, his brain was still slow. He had yet to catch himself falling for you.

You pulled away. “But, surprisingly, Ace is pretty good at Enigmics as well. So, if you’re so insistent on studying by yourself, I’ll go ask him for some help.”

Sebek stood there, still leaned in as if he was about to kiss you. However, his brain finally caught up to him. His stomach flipped over and his hands felt clammy. Even though his emotions were all over the place, one thought was clear: he couldn’t let this golden opportunity to study his odd feelings for you slip away.

“Wait!” He called out.

You paused, arching an eyebrow. “Yes?”

He hesitated, which surprised him, but he didn’t show it. “If you would like to study with me, you may. I do not mind having a study companion. That is, provided you are earnest in your studying.”

A smile graced your face and he almost melted. Almost. “Are you sure?”

Sebek nodded. “Yes. Please.”

You giggled and made your way over. Before entering his room, you pressed a soft, loving kiss to his cheek. “Thanks, Sebek. I really appreciate it.”

He blushed. His hand went up to gently touch the spot you kissed him and he felt his cheeks burn. “You’re very welcome.”

Crowley, levan theory. (Diasomnia spoilers ahead)

Thinking about it, what is Crowley based on? Yeah sure, he's a crow, obviously. But what is he actually based on? Looking at his infos and most of it are always labeled as "???" But then i remembered, maleficent's crow. Also called, diablo. But if he's based on diablo then surely he'll have a connection with malleus? But if he DOES have a connection with malleus, how come lilia never says anything about it? But then I remembered that there's like two if not three inspired characters of maleficent. Meleanor, malleus' mother and maleficia, malleus' grandmother. But consider that meleanor's husband is literally named levan, which is raven but L. But then I remembered, but that's a lot like an assistant and a boss kind of relationship.

So considering how diablo and maleficent's relationship is.. Crowley might NOT actually be Levan. Levan was never really confirmed to actually be alive or not, he's just missing. But if that's the case then we're back to square one, who is Crowley? Since diablo has been noted to be able to transform to be literally anything.. maybe crowley used to have a different appearance but he literally changed fully to avoid being known so that MIGHT explain why lilia couldn't fully recognize him. But then i remembered, isn't transformation potion illegal in twisted wonderland? (Aside from merfolks, they're excluded.) Sure, maybe Crowley's unique magic is that he's able to transform into literally anything? BUT wouldn't that toll a heavy blot on him? Because man has been living for HUNDREDS of years. Hell, when lilia first received his school letter was when he's 300 years old and he's currently 700. Isn't that a bit off?

When i look back at the chapters in the game. I noticed that in the prologue that crowley actually have used a transformation potion before. You know, when he becomes a ghost for the ramshackle students. But isn't transformation potion illegal? Then that already makes Crowley extremely suspicious. But if that's the case then crowley might actually be diablo. But if Crowley is actually diablo then.. what is he supposed to be in the game? Meleanor's right hand man? But that's not it, isn't lilia meleanor's right hand man? But then again, there's always maleficia. But if that's the case then why is there never once mentioned of maleficia having an assistant? When she took care of malleus, not once have malleus mentioned anyone beside her. Aside from Lilia obviously. But i remember that in the game, not everything takes TOO literally from the original source. So maybe.. Crowley actually is meleanor's husband? Considering that his name is literally levan.

But then i remembered that crowley had always been the one and ONLY headmaster in NRC. So if he actually has been handling NRC WHILE being meleanor's husband then wouldn't lilia know about it? Because aside from meleanor, Lilia has known levan longer than even meleanor herself. So that brings me to one possibility.. Crowley is levan's brother.

But that's just a theory.. a GAME theory.

You sipped some of the tea presented in front of you. The aroma was aluring and yet, you though some sipped was enough for you to devour the taste but still you kept on sipping with a frown eyebrows. This worried you companion a little due your sudden change in behaviour.

"Is the tea not to your liking, Y/N dear. Is it not warm anymore? I can ask some-"

"Nah the tea smell fantastic as usual but my taste bud recently not that good. What a pity for such tea prepared especially by you, Tsunotaro" You pouted and propped your chin on your palm in distress. The saggy cheeks were clearly visible on naked eyes as your action kind of push it up, the excessive skin that lack of collagen. The fae could just laugh it away as he gently patted your head with eyes filled with the same light still after several decades never lost it glint upon laying on you.

"I'm the one who lessen the sugar in your tea. No need to be upset, dear Y/N" After hearing his words, a glare quickly was sent to him and you took a hold of the hand on top of your head. The very who always trying to help you in every possible way, the very hand who always held out during your breaking point, the hand that gripped on yours during the night strolled. The memories during your stay at NRC was still clear and the one that you would never dare to forget. However, time passed and it never stopped. Always ticking for every second and indeed that what made you treasure every moment in your life especially noe when you the secret of your death was still hidden.

"You tried to not make me feel old, don't you Tsunataro and put the blame on yourself. My nose is still fine so no need to cover anything"

"And you still act like 15. I assume your grandchild always tease their grandmother for being childish" A smirk pulled on Malleus lips as he got the exact reaction he wanted from you due to his teasing.

Others creature who live for a long time always said time was almost eternity for them. They had all the time they have in this world wrapped in their palm and yet being with you, made him counting everyday that passed and hw would like to spend every second with you, as a bestfriend like he must be.

The true feeling he still harbour for you for the past several decades was being kept in the dark with only his family knew the truth of how he wanted to wed you with him but he knew better than to propose to you. The you who always wanted to be side by side with your partner. The one who you wanted to grow old together. That was what you used to tell him during your youth and he would never fill the criteria so he chose to let go.

Words of him being possessive as a trait he got from being a prat of dragon was true too. He was being possessive for the entire time. He was being possessive of your happiness, the only thing matter to him. As long as you happy, he content.

On your funeral, his heart wrenched upon seeing your lifeless body. No more your smile neither laughters existed anymore. He was beyond disbelief when just yesterday, he still could feel your warmth but now you were much colder than himself.

"Farewell my dear, Y/N. Please wait for me in the afterlife... I... love you..."

He tried to smile as he said the last devastating farewell like a good bestfriend he was if it not for his lips quivered at the corner as he used all of his strength to hold his facade in front of everyone like a true leader he was. When he was alone, just at that time he, the king of Thorn Valley cried out his heart due to your death. The thing that he only afraid to happen had happened...

In the world of twisted wonderland, true hearts day had a similar tradition to the winter seasons mistletoe, where they would hang hearts around and the two caught under it would have to kiss. Though the catch of this game was that someone else had to spot them for them to do so.

Though for some reason, the only ones ever caught were malleus and the prefect, and it usually was by grim, who was none too happy about that.

“Do you guys have to do that every time?” malleus tilted his head at the tanuki.

“Does it bother you, grim?” the tanuki groaned.

“It does!”

“Why do you let it?” y/n asked teasingly.

“Its like ace and deuce say! Its like watching your parents kiss!”

“Well, if you feel that way, i may start requiring you call me father, young one” the tanuki yelped, before shaking his head.

“I am not calling you father!” he exclaimed before scurrying off as the two laughed.

Malleus makes the snow stop

Malleus: Even when I was young, I was scolded by Lilia for freezing the castle.

Malleus: When I finally started walking on two legs I had a tantrum for a really stupid reason, I was planning to have dinner with my grandmother, but she had an urgent business.

Malleus: However, on that day, I just couldn't stand it...

Malleus: Before I knew it, the desks, chairs, and even the waiters were all frozen.

Malleus: None of the people in the castle could come near me.

Malleus: Seeing them running away from me in fear, I'm getting more and more frustrated...

Flashback of Lilia
