CONFESSION:
I will always find it so horribly funny that players will be so ever surprised and hurt by an unhardened Alistair breaking up with the warden once she made him king, after he repeatedly said throughout the whole game that being king is his worst nightmare and that he always hated his royal blood.
Like when will you learn. When will you learn that your actions have consequences.

Can I just say, how good and nice it is that zevran asks you if you are comfortable with his compliments and comments about you, and if you say you aren't, he actually stops !! I'm so grateful they put that in :-D

THE WINNER IS THE GREY WARDEN!
I did a remake of this scene because it's so cold and expressionless, I'm sure if Brianna could walk into an arena and beat up random people to take out her contained anger and still be congratulated for it, she would love it.

CONFESSION:
I was thinking that someone out there, on their very first playthrough, romanced Morrigan, refused to do the dark ritual and made Loghain sleep with Morrigan.
And by the maker, that person scares me.

Morrigan: Farewell, Mother. Do not forget the stew on the fire. I would hate to return to a burned-down hut.
Flemeth: Bah. ‘Tis far more likely you will return to find this entire area, along with my hut, swallowed up by the Blight.
Morrigan: I... all I meant was...
Flemeth: Yes, I know. Do try to have fun, dear.
Oh, we’re going to have WORDS about The Silent Grove’s bullshit “Morrigan is a confused, foolish child who just doesn’t understand” and Inquisition’s bullshit “Morrigan was never in danger” and “You can’t possess the unwilling” and all the fucking gaslighting that’s been heaped on Morrigan for correctly fearing her mother.
There are only a couple interactions between Flemeth and Morrigan, but this exchange tells you everything you need to know about their relationship. Morrigan is apparently the one in charge of cooking their meals and just finished making dinner before learning that Flemeth is sending her away with the Grey Wardens for plot-related reasons. This was a 12-minute conversation in my recording, so right before the conversation ends, Morrigan reminds Flemeth that her dinner is still on the fire. She doesn’t even ask to take some of the food she cooked with them—in a move, I think, that will resonate with other survivors of childhood abuse. But Flemeth doesn’t respond appreciatively to the reminder. Instead, her reaction is, “The Blight threatens everything and you care about food?” Morrigan is visibly hurt by Flemeth’s response, and it’s only then that Flemeth tells her that “she knows” what she meant and sends her on her way.
You want to know why Morrigan isn’t a nicer person? Because this is how her kindness is received. Morrigan will later tell the player (and a horrified Alistair) about her upbringing, and it’s made very clear that her childhood was abusive and she has good reasons to fear her mother. It’s infuriating that later comics and games will try to paint Morrigan as someone who just “misunderstood” Flemeth. She did not. Morrigan understands exactly who Flemeth is, and she did what she needed to do to keep herself safe.
