I recently played a demo for the fan game/rom hack “SUPER MARIO CD” and….
OHHHH MY GODDDDD I LOVVVEEEEE ITTTTT
Like it feels like on giant and weird (in a good way !) love letter to 80’s/90’s Mario .
Everything from the visuals, the music, and the
g a m e p l a y
It’s all so good that I HAD to draw it and this may be my most background heavy picture I’ve made lol. The colors and pallets were fun to use on this one =].
They have a blog you should check it out if the project interest you: https://www.tumblr.com/famicomcd

In Tokyo (A Poem)
Last night I flew with the evening skyfish
Hitch-hiked the ride on their ocean bubbles
I flew across the heavens
And almost met the gods
Until the bubble popped
And I fell back down to our concrete roads
Overhead (in Tokyo)
Thunder-clouds blot out the sun
As we walk, hand-in-hand
Cross the stepping-stones
Pass the illuminated koi fish
To reach school
Follow the bruised masses
The withered umbrella
Before the raindrops begin to fall
And the gods cry on us, on all fours
They cover us in floods of tears
Classes rotate, teachers faze in and out
The student body stares
Watches as the world outside drains
Shifts to strange, vibrant tones
Of grey! (Strange, I know!)
Fog rolls in, the feelers of a monster
And rivers overflow
Bubbles the size of thunder-clouds
Form and float way up high
And the koi fish begin
To fly up to my dream heavens

My friend Sofia took pics of her environment and it gave Dreamcore vibes so I thought I should post it and see how others feel about it

I woke up to go to the bathroom, as I sat down, eyes still closed, half asleep, i heard the most beautiful music, through the ambient noise of my bathroom extractor fan, a fan that was on in the bedroom and the sleepy music I put on at bedtime. It was like all the genres at once, country, classical, opera, rock, but it was beautiful. I felt euphoric even though I was almost frozen in place. I couldn't move but I didn't want to either. I could tilt my head so I turned my ears to the sound and I closed my eyes again to focus on the most amazing sound I've ever experienced. I sobbed in the darkness at 4am, at this music created through ambience.
