I love Dream Minecraft and there's nothing anybody can do about it. And I'm glad that I stood my ground all these years in that love. He's a good honest person who genuinely tries to do better. I'm proud to be a fan of his, because the joy of loving a creator who is in turn that loving has long since outweighed the pain of being hated for loving.

just realised Tommy has always been the imperfect right hand man - follows orders until he knows it's better not to. Wilbur only lets him come to the revolutionary surrender on the promise he won't start anything, and then he secures the duel that eventually wins them L'Manberg by disobeying direct orders. when he's with Techno (which isn't stated to be a right hand man relationship but they certainly aren't equals) and he charges into the community house conflict and loses the disc and Techno's trust, it ends up being the better choice in that situation than staying with Techno and betraying his ideals. and when Tubbo tells him to keep the disc and let Dream kill him, he hears the order, hesitates, and runs the other way, keeping Tubbo alive long enough that they both make it out alive. even in the case of Wilbur blowing up L'Manberg, he stays with him but refuses to back that plan - even when he says yes, he's standing beside Wilbur, not reaching for the button himself. Tommy's disobedience is often cited as one of his traits that irritates other characters, but it's actually one of his biggest strengths: knowing when to trust his own judgement.

I feel like as a fandom we don't talk about snf enough. Like ppl always talk about how pretty George is and they're right but he's also like insanely smart?? like he's the only member of the dteam with a degree(not that that's necessarily indictive of anything but u get my point) and it's in fucking computer science??? he's also insanely well spoken when he needs to be . I also appreciate how timely he is when faced with serious accusations (the gituation but also the racism accusations from I think last yr) and they're really well written. he's also has proven himself to be incredibly empathetic and caring. Listening to him talk about reaching out to technodad after that stream because he's the one who's opinion really mattered to him had me just ☹️☹️☹️.

And sapnap!!! I love sapnap sm. he's so fucking funny it's insane. and he's so so so very loyal. Dream has said before that Sapnap is a ride or die type friend and it shows. he loves his friends so much. Like him hearing that George was depressed and lonely and IMMEDIATELY renewing his passport and going to see him??? I also feel like we just don't appreciate his beauty enough. Like he's insanely attractive and I refuse to be told differently. He is just so lovely and sweet and funny and just skdktk

And when they're together?? They're so funny that they've literally almost made me piss my pants. The two of them love each other sm even if it is different than the way they both love dream. imo them making a conscious effort to change the way they treat each other and their friendship as a whole proves that more than anything.

The dteam as a whole love each other so much its honestly disgusting and it's probably really parasocial but it bothers me sm when ppl try to say otherwise. Especially when it comes to George. Like saying otherwise about Dream or sapnap is gen fucking stupid. (Dream has literally gone on and on about how much he loved them both and said that they're a package deal. And sapnap has repeatedly refered to them as his brothers) but ppl love to say George doesn't love them because he doesn't say it publicly. But like??? He literally moved continents to be with them??? He put his whole life on pause and uprooted himself because he wanted to live with them that fucking badly. Personally I wouldn't do that for anyone I didn't at least care very deeply for. And dream made it a point to bring up George's soft and loving and serious side when everyone else was just talking about him being funny and goofy. Also the Dteam is just so Boy™. idek how to explain it. they're all goofy and love dick jokes and ur mom jokes but are also so loving and well spoken and sweet.

I love listening to him talk about stuff he’s passionate about (or reading his essays on it ) like him just talking about something that he clearly knows a lot about or something he feels really strongly about is so endearing to me

Also his editing style especially with manhunt I’ll always say this but the editing in those videos is what ties it all together and makes it something special and no matter how many times I watch those videos I’ll always be impressed by the editing

And his cat beanies!!! I really love his cat beanies I love how they’re his “thing” its so cute and silly and so him like idk the cat beanies bring me so much joy

I love the way he engages with the community! The discord podcasts and twitter spaces where he would just mess around for a little while were always just especially sweet to me. I feel like they perfectly encapsulated how he could tease and joke with fans, but also be extremely compassionate and caring. He understands his fans are people and he treats them accordingly!

Oh god, only ONE? I love and admire so many things about him, picking one is hard. I'm pretty sure we are all aware of his kind heart and positivism, his natural predisposition to assume the best of everyone and his eagerness to keep learning and growing into a better person; so I want to highlight his passion and determination to achieve his dreams. He's so dedicated to his work, not because it's his job but because it's something he wants to do because it makes him happy and he never gives up on his hopes and dreams. I really love that he picked the name Dream because I feel like it represents him quite well. Being Dream was his Dream, being able to make content with his friends, to tell his story through music, to keep revolutionizing the minecraft community; that's his dream and he never gave up on it (and never will!). Not a lot of people actually and actively chase their dreams and try to make them come true, so I really love that Dream is always following his heart and dedicating his time to achieve his dream on the best way possible

on the subject of ctechno being autistic. i’ve always been so enamored with him because he’s such a fascinating intersect of being pretty emotionally closed off and untrusting and yet still being one of the most honest and least deceptive characters on the entire server. like he always spelled out his motives and goals Very bluntly to anyone else involved in his plans, but it always felt like (maybe because of how powerful he was he was) he was bound to have ulterior motives but he literally never did, he just said how he felt very plainly and was then baffled when people got angry at him for doing exactly what he’d said he’d been planning on doing for weeks. he hardly ever lies, and when he does it’s pretty much always a lie by omission to protect someone (lying about tommy being in his house, tactfully refusing to disclose information about how he lives with philza, both to dream). furthermore whenever anybody tries to play mind games with him, the intersection between 1. not understanding social situations very well and 2. being very stubborn means that he is pretty much impossible to manipulate without physical leverage or death threats. he just doesn’t Play The [social] Game as it were in the same way most other characters on the smp do, which is such an Autism Moment and also is why the whole consistently breaking the fourth wall thing is so good and in-character for him. this has been your ctechno lovepost of the day thank you for coming to my tedtalk

i just had a revelation if you don't mind me sharing with you- i've always been adjacent to fandom spaces, like never really actually participating in them and only really reading fanfic. i wasn't ever super interested in the community aspect, until finding dream. i've never really stuck to a particular thing either, like i always got fixated for like a month, and then quickly got bored and moved on easily, except in the case with dream!

i was pretty confused about this like 2 months into my obsession because usually by that point i would have gotten bored, but i think i just figured out with the series of the anon talking about loveposting about dream is that it's not just because he's a wonderful person to like and follow, but also because the community is just so absolutely sweet.

originally i was just trying to find a space to gush about him, but now i can see that it's become something lovely, because of how everyone supports each other. maybe this happens in every fandom, i wouldn't really know, but i know for sure something that's endeared me to this community is how when things get tough, people can talk to each other and commiserate and bond. like when everyone was upset about tommy's video, some of the tumblr folks reached out to do a little book project, or posted sweet things about the munchy crew to cheer everyone up. on twitter, people also shared cute clips amidst the upset and still checked each other to still make sure that no one was crossing any lines, and this was stuff everyone has done throughout all the controversies that i've seen of this year.

i don't mean to circlejerk about it, like with all fandoms there are hiccups and whatnot but the general, baseline mutual understanding and unity serve to make this community really fun and wonderful. everyone expresses their love so easily and beautifully and i think it's definitely because of a sort of feedback loop between dream and everybody where he expresses his love, and makes it a comfortable space for everyone to talk about their feelings, which makes it comfortable for him, etc etc.

sorry for the rant xD basically, tldr, thanks for helping to make this space so lovely :D

Definitely his earnestness and kindness. I always think about how he chose not to stream his POV of the dsmp so that he wouldn't take away attention from other growing creators (and played the villain so others wouldn't be hated on), and that is SUCH an anomaly in the content creation space that it means so, so much. Like who else would do that! Who else has ever done that? I think he actively chooses to have a positive impact where he can, and it shows. <3
