I feel like part of what made the other day’s lore streams so fantastic was the fact that they made it easy to feel for all of the characters involved. Don’t get me wrong, each and every one of them has had their moment as the villain, and debatably they could all still be considered villains. But seeing the way they all interacted just felt so much more humanising. It’s like they all kept each other in check.
We saw Quackity’s dark side immediately followed by his crippling fear of the consequences. We saw Sam’s harshness but also his mercy, in letting Dream remain in the prison in secrecy. We saw Techno push and prod Quackity only to get near instantly thrown onto the back foot. And even Dream felt more sympathetic in light of his easy camaraderie with Techno, only for us to be reminded by Sam of the very reason why he was in the prison in the first place. It felt nicely balanced. With different perspectives so commonly villainising one character and raising up another, it was super refreshing to see the streams compliment each other so interestingly!
i love the way sam’s lore streams always have those moments of like....... intense, drawn-out quiet
the way he spent 10 whole minutes clearing away the vines in his house so you could really feel the dread and sheer amount of effort it took. or when he went to rescue hannah and took so long just to even get down the tunnel, not to mention make his way through the egg room. or this stream, where we spent 10 minutes just watching him mechanically check every room in the prison
it immerses you in c!sam’s mindset, i think. the way he just steadily chips away at tasks even when they seem endless
C!TOMMY logging on to see c!bee duo’s relationship being in shambles, c!wilbur and ranboo working together, c!quackity and tubbo working together, all in all just some weird fucking rivalry with gay tension happening;
angst aside, wilbur and quackity as next door presidents who yell across the river like angry neighbors across a street and fight for custody over tommy like divorced parents offering lavish gifts to their kid while trying to pretend they don’t want to fuck each other is a hilarious plot point
