Hey all, I am 25+NB looking for at least 18+ to write Ronan and Adam from The Raven Cycle/Dreamers Trilogy. Can do canon or au. For AU I have an idea for a royal/medieval plot I’d love to do. I can play either but I do semi have a preference for Adam the plot I have. I write on discord and usually around two paragraphs. I want to set expectations. I’m not an every day rper and sometimes will get busy for weeks or have no muse. But if you stick with me I will reply when I can. LAFF. this is so funny because i think it's FINAL GOODBYE, my sole goncharov fic because goncharov dies at the end. fr though, maybe WE CAN MEET AGAIN SOMEWHERE which is a pjo fic where i killed percy off lmao. i have since realized that i apparently don't write a lot of angst . . . an interesting to note about myself for sure!

due to the nature of my writing—short oneshots—they all mostly end happily! maybe IN THE NIGHT (mergwenthur with platonic merthur and merwen and romantic arwen) because it was just soft all the way down!

nope. some people have asked though! i was deeply honoured but i like to keep my fics on ao3 instead of any other site and they wanted to post elsewhere.

wait. i just remembered, oh my god. SCREAM. does 13 year old me's rp count? because that would retroactively change my answer to the crossover question since i DID do that. it was so godawful and was probably 100k—started out as bbc sherlock fic and then bbc merlin got in there along with doctor who and supernatural and probably every fandom under the sun after that. we never posted that anywhere (thank GOD) but what a time. i don't co-write now. not for any particular reason, but i don't think it's come up.
14. WHAT'S YOUR ALL TIME-FAVOURITE SHIP?
see, this question is so hard because i write and consume so much different media. at the moment, in my current doctor who phase, i'll say tenrose! ask me during a different phase and you will get a different answer hehehe <3

all of four of them 😭 one reason i write oneshots is because my interests wanes so fast. you'll be hard pressed to find me in the same hyperfixation for longer than a few months, but i always come back eventually. specifically, RENEGADE'S RETURN (dc dick grayson-centric) would be the WIP imo because i posted that with no intention to finish it. all the other ones i had hopes, but this one . . . no </3
16. WHAT ARE YOUR WRITING STRENGTHS?
prose and characterisation. i think i'm getting pretty good at writing in the pov character's voice. like if you take my house md fic and compare it to . . . i don't know my raven cycle fic, i think the voices are distinct enough even with my same writing style:
HOUSE MD:
New Orleans sticks to House’s skin.
It reminds him of the Philippines. Long days baking under the sun, oppressive heat blanketing his entire body, sweat pooling at the top of his lip. At least when he was in the Philippines, he wore shorts and a tank top to cool down. Currently, there are about three layers on his chest—undershirt, button-up, blazer—and the AC in this place wheezes and puffs out mildly cold air like an overweight asthmatic kid attempting to run a marathon.
THE RAVEN CYCLE:
Adam Parrish does not have many things.
A bare IKEA mattress, various pieces of makeshift furniture made out of cardboard, and a three-dollar rug he found at a sale. It’s not much, but it’s his and he’s proud of it. Sometimes, though, pride doesn’t discount how hot Virginia summers are. His skin is sticky with it, the light cotton of his shirt clinging to him, restlessness twisting under his skin.
i tried to pick two snippets that are generally about the same thing (summer heat!). at least to Me, this seems different enough in tone, but you know. vibes!
17. WHAT ARE YOUR WRITING WEAKNESSES?
my inability to write long form is genuinely not only a weakness but so so so detrimental to me fr. every fic i have written can EASILY be at least 25k EACH. probably more (definitely more) because i write the moments in between or . . . [sigh] let me say this instead. with longfic, there's usually a moment or a scene that you want to get to, the whole fic is culminating to that scene so you write thousands upon thousands of words to get to where the that scene would make sense in context, yes? well. for Me . . . i just write The Scene™
18. THOUGHTS ON WRITING DIALOGUE IN ANOTHER LANGUAGE?
i'd fuck up google translate so fast (and have), so something like "they speak in spanish" or "'hi, how are you?' they ask in spanish" would be preferable to me.
19. FIRST FANDOM YOU WROTE FOR?
definitely pjo percabeth fic at the age of like . . . ten (10). i posted it on ffnet and have since scrubbed from the internet.
20. FAVOURITE FIC YOU'VE EVER WRITTEN?
funnily enough i created a series which is just fav fics that i've written which sounds so egotistical, but whatever. there are 13 works in there, i believe, and most of them are merlin lol. but in recent memory it has to be a tie between JUDAS KISS and THREAD OF GOLD (both arwen fic !!!) because i experimented with my writing sooooo much there, JUDAS KISS being first person and THREAD OF GOLD being second person. i typically write a close third person pov especially for fic. my prose is wired for that, but it was so fun to try to do that for first and second anddddd i got some banger lines out of it so a win's a win!

JUDAS KISS: All I can think about is Arthur. His rage is fine as a blade, sharpened by the betrayal I have dealt him.

I realize it's really awkward to have 3 of those fics in my top 5 be unfinished. I'm really bad at finishing my longer fics. With the shorter fics (that have less chapters and also less kudos), I don't have as many issues finishing them.
I have the intent to finish a few of the unfinished fics, even if it's been years since my last update. Heart of the Ship (Rumbelle) is the first fic on that list that I'll be working on, and it will be a wopper. I'm already at 180 000 words right now. I think it will be 200-250K words by the time it's finished.
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I do! Usually just before I'm about to post a new chapter. I think comments are amazing and I want to thank people for leaving them. They always make my day. I don't get paid in money for writing fanfictions, but I accept comments as currency for thanking me, lol.
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Probably "Death and the Dark One" - a Rumbelle fanfiction where Belle is the Grim Reaper. It's about death, a bit gothic. Very short.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Most if not all of my fics have happy endings, though some are a bit bittersweet! Personally I really like the ending to the Bus Lovers (Rumbelle) because it's really cheesy happy - with a Hallmark wedding ending. It's a perfect read for a dreary autumn or winter day.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
No - I've been really fortunate there! Especially since I have written a few controversial ships (let's be real - enemies to lovers is one of my fav tropes and I love problematic bastards with daddy issues). Or if I did get hate, I'm happy to report I've forgotten all of it!
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I do! AWKWARD smut. Lol. I suspect some neurodivergence in myself and that translates into... maybe some weird smut. I'm also ace myself so I don't fully get infatuated like other people do, and the smut between my characters often seems driven by intellectual attraction. (Bit like sapiosexuality) I do write smut to drive the characters forward in their relationship with one another. I try not to write smut for smut's sake and when I do it's not great and I personally don't like it. (though that doesn't always mean my readers don't like it either!)
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
I've done a ton of crossovers while roleplaying - but as far as fics go on AO3, I think I only have a few - Legends, where Kylo Ren is a firebender and Rey a waterbender (aka an Avatar crossover). I've also written a Reyux fic set in Hogwarts, (Finished), and started a Rumbelle fic set in Hogwarts that remains unfinished.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Yes, long ago, before AO3 - and it was a Dutch Harry Potter fanfic of mine that popped up on some other Dutch forums. Since I knew the admins there it was quickly taken down so it wasn't a lot of drama. The internet felt a lot smaller then.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
I have attempted to translate a Dramione fanfiction from Dutch to English myself - I never finished the translation because the first chapter just didn't really have any readers. The Dutch version is still up on AO3, completed.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Nope. I have done RP's and worked together with other people for that. One of the people I wrote with the most (Alice) is still one of my best friends to this day. We finished a ton of Rumbelle roleplays and they hold a fond memory in my heart. Some of them were even read by other people! (Which I think is rare.)
14. What's your all-time favourite ship?
Very tough to answer. I've fallen in and out of love with many ships, and tend to fall back in love with them after enough time passes. I think Jasmine/Jafar (OUAT) is one of my favourites though, at least at this moment. Don't get me wrong, I love Rumbelle and Reylo but don't like the canon execution of either. And that makes it a bit sour. Jasmine/Jafar was never canon and so it's a beautiful ship that thrives in my brain and heart exactly the way I want it to.
15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Currently I'm working on Heart of the Ship and I' think'm quite sure I *will* finish it. And if I can finish that one, then I think I can finish many of the others too. (Though, give it time.)
At this moment I think "Breathe" is the hardest one for me to finish. It's a Reyux AU where Hux and Rey fall in love in a setting that is very close to how canon could have turned out if Kylo had been killed during TLJ. However, because of how close I would keep it to the canon of Star Wars, I've made it really difficult on myself. It's a fic that requires a lot of research and was always rather hard to make work. I did really enjoy it though. I also have Star Wars PTSD from watching the Rise of Skywalker and don't feel confident in returning to that fandom. It's been 4 years since TROS was released and I'm still not ready.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I find this difficult to answer. I think dialogue comes easily, and I can sprinkle in humor when I need to. I can also write pretty fast when I want to, and I've made it through several Nanowrimos with little difficulty. I can also write really nice plot twists that don't come completely out of the blue - keeping readers on their toes. Some have gotten really good at predicting where I go thanks to reading a ton of my fics!
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I could write a little "stronger" - I bet I make a lot of errors in writing that might not be grammatical errors but just errors in using "weak" verbs or adjectives to put my descriptions on the page. I also don't do flowery prose, though in my opinion that's a strength and not a weakness. English is not my mother language (though I've never let that stop me!)
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
Ehm... I wouldn't quickly do it unless I spoke the language myself. Since I speak Dutch and French quite well, I would not feel awkward including that, or a few words of German and Spanish. But other languages? No, I think I'd steer clear of writing full sentences in those.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
We're talking about 1994 here or so - it was Lois and Clark the new Adventures of Superman and I was 11, and had a massive crush on Superman. XD After that I wrote X-Men the Animated Series, Beauty and the Beast and when I turned 18 I switched to Harry Potter and wrote nearly exclusively for HP for 10 years. It was in the HP fandom that I learned to finish my fics. I'd never done that before that time.
20. Favourite fic you've ever written?
Oof. Really tough question. Of my current WIPs, probably Heart of the Ship (Rumbelle).
Of my finished fanfictions, probably The Fifth Gem (Rumbelle) - which is a story of Belle being a spy at Rumplestiltskin's castle during wartime - and I loved writing how she fell in love with him despite of it. It also is the first fic I wrote that featured Jasmine/Jafar and made me fall in love with them as a pairing.

Okay. So I KNOW the Dreamer Trilogy is not The Raven Cycle. I understand the convenience of Sarchengsy’s road trip if not having to involve them in the plot. But I will be really disappointed if by the end of book 3 Gansey doesn’t at least show up once. Not because I miss him, but simply because of how completely out of character it would be for both Declan and Adam to AT LEAST call Gansey about wtf just happened. Gansey is Ronan’s best friend. That’s been included in the text. I think him knowing “Hey, you’re bestie joined a cult and became a terrorist who’s gonna destroy the world, including you” is more important than ruining a road trip. It’ll just baffle me if he isn’t brought in to help even at the very last second or something, but then again we all expected Adam to be more involved in the plot too, I guess. Idk, I love everything else about the book, but make this make sense please lol
anon i'm with you on this 100% but in this case it's probably just gonna have to be tiredly accepting that gansey & blue & henry are no longer in stiefvater's periphery. she doesn't write anything that she doesn't feel like writing (also how i operate! no judgment here) and that's...... that's really all there is to the lack of gangsey. i really don't think there's anything deeper to explore
for me, i've been rolling in the parts of the book i loved & doing fanwork + rp with my partners for things i Would Have Liked To See But Didn't (Aka: Gansey)
different people have different levels of frustration and ire abt this it is ok for you to be frustrated. i'm guessing some of why stief is retiring this verse is because it's tiring to keep up with all the loose ends and things people want to see when you're trying to make your themes coherent (again, i relate. no judgment)
the only other answer i have that you might prefer is that if she DOES bring gansey in.... it's probably because he's snoozin along with everything else that relies on the line. naptime gansey. this emergency would pretty quickly bring sarchengsey back into the picture IF she's interested in doing so.

Okay define involved again, I've been in fandom spaces for over 10 years now and things happened
I'll cut it to the places I actually interacted with something or someone, which includes RPing, and I'll also cut to one per fandom, so it'll be:
Drarry (Harry Potter/Draco Malfoy) form Harry Potter (I used to RP the third generation, plus we had a community fic notebook with my friends)
Legitimately Alice Cullen & Jacob Black BroTP from Twilight Saga (we had a fic notebook for that as well, and I shortly RPed as an OC werewolf girl)
1880 (yes hi number names, Kyoya Hibari/Takeshi Yamamoto) from Katekyo Hitman Reborn (I used to RP a lot for Reborn TBH and had a couple of drabbles for a half OC pairing)
I will have to say Rimahiko (Rima Mashiro/Nagihiko Fujisaki) or Kutau (Kukai Souma/Utau Hoshina) from Shugo Chara, but all of them are literal babies, so even when we RPed it it was 100% gen tbh (but I did write some romance fics with them being older)

20. Any ships which you surprised yourself by liking?
I've actually answered this already, but now I also remembered Chuck/Dan from Gossip Girl, and yeah, I was shocked I was willing to read anything for this show
23. Name a fic you’ve written that you’re especially fond of & explain why you like it.
Ohhh it's a tie between The Beginning and He Knows Now (I hate the named of my fics ah<3) TBH. HKN was the fic written on a spot and it was deliberately so weird I absolutely loved writing it, although it makes 0 sense. I still feel very inspired about it and murder mermaids in general (probably Homestuck's fault). And TB... Just... Hell yeah I'm getting back into killing my favorite children, I love that stuff, I don't ever read it, but writing is 100/10, Hurt no Comfort is <3, plus the moodboard turn out to be AMAZING, and just the way it's written, the experimental thing with trying to show how Stiles is conscious but trapped inside his body that functions on its own??? loved that despite the fact that it probably didn't render at all considering how I had to explain to @/impractical-matters after the first round of betaing, so I'm pretty sure I failed at actually properly showing this idea, but I still loved the challenge and the concept. Probably it's partially due to me not being a native as well:C
32. Do you listen to music when you write or does music inspire you? If so, which band or genre of music does it for you?
I way too distracted by music, so I usually watch reality TV shows/listen to audiobooks I don't care too much about/watch TV shoes I don't care too much about (all of it distracts me less than music does). Objectively, I don't possess the mental capacity for this so eventually I'll turn the noise off anyway if I'm really getting into writing, or still be distracted all the time<3
50. How did you get into reading and/or writing fanfiction?
I don't actually remember? I was a baby for both of these:D I think somehow trough discussions in VK communities, consider what my first read fic was, and then for the writing I probably started with joke little scenes or something like that:D It was so long ago, it's terrible to be a child on the internet
