Doodles from the last few days breaks ~

1 & 2 - I recently finished Zelda Minish Cap and dang I love that game <3 (The first one was copied from this one to get the hang of the style).

3 - I wanted to draw some Lucidia characters and redrew Parsley from the last update aaaand I tried to draw Assistant. (Lucidia and Gloomverse by @loverofpiggies )

4 & 5 - These are from today! I wanted to draw some Dreamers characters (by @myebi / @comyet ), aaand since I didn’t find in time a proper Aheran reference suffered the consequences buuut let’s ignore that and look at how cute Meke came out <3

Hello! I've noticed that the redraw of Aheran you've made this year has his body loosely make the shape of a heart. Which made me really fond of it. Is it meant to be symbolic?

Oh my gosh you noticed!!! OH MY GOSH Ok, so you have unfortunately opened the pandora’s box I love talking about shapes in art especially regarding Aherän sorry I’m on for a ramble-

Aherän is based off (and is) a barn owl, who are commonly known for their heart shaped face. His vitiligo markings simulate a similar shape: (this is a rather old drawing compared to how my style for him is changing but still relevant, also yay you guys have a peek at my first character information sketch/notebook for dreamers)

Aherän is also a very kind and majorly selfless character, who wears his heart on his sleeve (get it), so this is a fitting shape for him too.

So I’ve been enjoying replicating this sort of shape for him, especially around his face!! I did the original shape for this redraw while purposefully making a heart out of his arms!! I can’t believe you’d even notice this detail!!

I could talk about shapes in art for hours and yet I’m a novice at it, but it’s so exciting to imagine all the fun compositions and meanings you can come up with them!!
