Marlo Hampton Has Been Fired!

Marlo Hampton’s time as a fulltime housewife was a rather short-lived and bizarre experience.

Was she the real disaster, or the producers who protected her?

The only reason why Marlo became upgraded to a housewife, was because the casting for season 14 was reported to have been a disaster.

Drew Sidora got her second chance, Sanya Richards-Ross was the newbie, and Shereé Whitfield made her second return to the show.

In my opinion, season 14 wasn’t as bad as the disastrous casting process forecasted, but it wasn’t before season 15 that it became apparent that this cast didn’t work.

And instead of admitting that Marlo had been a mistake, Bravo doubled down on it at the reunion for season 14.

They portrayed her as the traumatized foster child who became the fabulous Marlo Hampton, but Kenya Moore wanted no part of the martyr edit.

Kenya saw that this was heading for a disaster, as she confronted the women in a deleted scene about them ruining the show and made an interview with Carlos King.

When Carlos asked her why season 15 was so bad, she answered: “Choices. Casting choices.”

The most bizarre thing about Marlo’s time as a housewife was how the producers and editors were seemingly protecting her, by covering up for her lies.

Had they asked her to come for Kandi Burruss and bring up the shootings at her restaurants, since Kandi and Todd Tucker weren’t legally allowed to talk about it?

Was that why they misrepresented situations to benefit Marlo? Needless to say that it all failed.

The viewers aren’t stupid, and I would argue that the producers of RHOA was perhaps more to blame for the show’s failure than the women.

Marlo was a liability for RHOA and Bravo, and I would argue that she’s one of the reasons why the show is now getting a revamp.

Kandi has quit, Marlo is fired, Porsha Williams is coming back.

One of my arguments for what makes a good housewife is that she must want to be a housewife.

But did Marlo want it a little too much?

Porsha is Coming Back to RHOA!

Andy Cohen just announced on WWHL that Porsha Guobadia is coming back to RHOA!

Love her or hate her, but this is big news for Bravo and RHOA.

Even after Kandi Burruss announced quite unexpectedly that she was leaving RHOA, I still thought it was highly unlikely that Porsha would return to the show.

She would rather leave the show than address the shady start of her relationship with Simon Guobadia, and I didn’t see that changing anytime soon.

There were rumours on social media, but nothing is official until Andy, Bravo or the women themselves announces it.

Andy also posted on Instagram:

In Kenya Moore’s interview with Carlos King, she spoke highly of Porsha and how they were able to make good TV together.

Since they’ve always been at each other’s throats it was quite surprising to hear Kenya speak so positive of Porsha.

Maybe this was an olive branch or a big signal to Bravo?

I still view Kenya’s interview with Carlos as a cry for help: “RHOA is in trouble! Get Porsha back!”

The question that’s still on my mind is which Porsha will we get? The one who’s willing to share her real life or the one who’s running away from hard questions?

One of the reasons why she left RHOA was because she didn’t want to talk about how she got together with Simon.

And she still needs to answer to those questions even if she has been away for a while.

The producers should’ve learned their lesson with Drew Sidora. Don’t let the housewives run along with a false narrative!

Porsha tried it on Porsha’s Family Matters, and it failed miserably.

The producers confronted her in front of the cameras that she was clearly lying.

She has a story to tell, unlike the others, but will she actually use her story?

I’ve made it perfectly clear that I’m no longer a fan of her, but I can’t deny that she has got entertaining values.

That was obvious with RHUGT3.

Porsha is funny, she can make us laugh. And RHOA needs that energy desperately now.
