Do you have any specific things you can point at for being what inspired/influenced your art style? Like shows with specific style, artists, etc

oh man, not in a really comprehensive way!!! I take a little something along with me from every single visual media I get into. Sometimes it's not even on purpose!!

BUT to the best of my ability, here's what I can think of as probably major contributors:

I'm making my facial expressions stretchier right now because of one piece. Uhhh I drew a TON of Owl House fan art recently, and I think it changed how I draw eyes. Oh and I draw a lot of Danny Phantom fan art, but the way I draw it is also inspired by Bruce Timm's art. Invader Zim profoundly changed the way that I color. And I've been watching/reading a lot of early 2000s anime/manga lately which I'm sure has influenced me. Also pokemon art from Alola and later. also Psychonauts and Smile For Me game.

my "#insp" tag is mostly from other artists on the web rather than big media properties but maybe it will help too?

ngl there's something particularly insidious about how Bruce Timm has gone on record saying that Harley (/her story) is inspired by a real life domestic abuse victim that he knew, while simultaneously being the same man who when working on the Animated Series, drew graphic kink porn of Harley and (most frequently) her abuser.

Idk, I think that's actually really fucking nasty tbf. I do not care about his contribution to the industry. We do not like that man in this household.

It's time for a villain spotlight!

I took inspiration from the 2004 Batman show for Rag doll's appearance, but also mixed the costumes of both Peter Merkel (OG) and Jr (His son) and mixed them together. Though I do recall in your written description in chapter 37, he was barefoot and had a once green shirt. I just didn't make the shirt oversized. I just really like The Batman (2004) I don't think it gets enough love. Also he looks creepier this way.

I don't know if he looks better with or without eyes, so I'll just leave it up to interpretation or just go back and re read Chasing the Light.

As for Nimbus I just drew him in the black outfit he wore in the show and made him look more threatening by making him look as if he's always in a partially gaseous state. I gave his eyes and skin a cool sickly green glow, along with black bubbles within the gas to show the toxicity of the gas.

Now it's time for the Crime family duo!

I wanted Snart to look the same, but with a somewhat comic accurate coat with the gold belt and the cool goggles 🥽

Lisa on the other hand looks very different from her Tv show counterpart. I gave her back her comic book blonde hair and gave her a gold jacket, necklace, belt and her gun. I also kept the white shirt since her comic costume currently is gold and white. I feel like she wore more black than gold in the cw show, which is odd for someone called the Golden Glider.

Then again maybe she did, I mean it's been awhile since I've watched the Flash sooo.... yep.

I think I was just having fun making everyone look similar to the comics, but also still giving love to the Flash show. Although, they really need to chill out with the leather and muted colors on costumes. They're getting better, but my point still stands.

Ignore my cyclops OC and focus on Earth-66 Wally West. He has a tool in his hand and is ready to make a difference in the world! He even has his mustard jacket and some red shoes! Even when he's not kid flash he's representing!

Had to find a reference pose for this one. I'll put a link for credit later when I find the reference again.

I took inspiration from the simplicity of the Bruce Timm style for his body's running pose and added some cool blue lightning designs to it.

The quiet ambiance starkly contrasted with the busy machinery and the whir of droids you were usually surrounded by. Sure it was a welcome change, but there was something foreign about the notorious silence that you couldn't quite place. Maybe you've grown so accustomed to the sound over the years that it has become a strange sort of ambiance to you, not that you would understand it since you thrive in the quiet, whether it be in your life or your mind; you did best when the world turned silent.

That hush was interrupted by the cool hiss of the front door opening and the scuffling of feet across the floor.

"I'm home," you heard his Kenarian accent before you saw him, the door closing a moment later. The deep rumble swirled with just the right amount of smoothness to make you melt into the earth beneath your feet. His heavy footsteps echoed through the small space until they stopped behind you. His hands came to meet your waist, pulling you into his chest. You giggled as he tucked his head in the crook of your neck, placing a kiss above the blotchy purple hickey he had left the night before. His mouth leaves goosebumps to pimples along your skin as they trace the mark while it gives a dull, achy throb under his advances.

"How was your day, Kassa?" His hand drew circles across the fabric of your pants where your hips met your thigh as you put down the part you were cleaning to sell to Timm the next day.

"Much better than yours could have been." You smile, trying to hide your amusement. It never failed to surprise you how keen Cassian's senses were. It was like a sixth sense to him when something was plaguing you or causing you despair, whether it be a deal gone south or a fruitless haul. Nevertheless, he made sure to ease away each emotion that infested your mind with his addictive touch. It was easy to get lost in him, the sensations, the pleasure he all but supplied you with, accompanying a well-needed distraction. "What's wrong, sweetheart?"

"You know that drive plate I've been trying to sell?" Cassian hums knowingly against the soft of your neck, the vibration sending a rush down your spine. "Well, the only guy that would buy it wanted 200 hundred Credits. 200 hundred Cas! For what I spent fixing that, it's at least double that pathetic price he offered me."

"You could always sell it to Bix. She's working on fixing a motor in a speeder. I'm sure she'll buy it," he offered, his mouth latching onto your neck, and you gripped the counter to stabilize yourself. You bit back your groan as his tongue ran over the area in apology. A warm ache spreads through your body as his lips map your skin, marking it as his own. They move down the column of your neck with each flutter of a kiss, leaving you breathless in the best ways.

"Go on, I'm listening." You find it nearly impossible to do anything with the way his hands rove over your covered skin, and you have to find your scattered thoughts one by one in order to think of anything besides the feeling of his calloused skin inflicting sinful torture upon the mounds of your flesh. It's enough to demonstrate their profane properties and hint at the thrill of ecstasy they could bring down on you but not enough to slate your growing arousal, which right now is quite irritating.

"I can't hear you." His lips dipped towards your ear's shell, his voice's low reverence spiced with lust. His hands ventured across your body, and you felt the familiar tug of lust dance across your chest before it bloomed. Then, slowly, it spilled into your blood, tainting it with an excitement that felt too good to not be forbidden.

Your desire must have been infectious because he pulled you impossibly closer, his nose nudging your jaw while his tongue swirled across it, licking the salt off your skin. Your head falls against his shoulder as his facial hair scratches deliciously across the plane of your jaw, earning an unprecedented whine from your kiss-bitten lips.

"That's not what I asked, is it?" Cassian holds your hips steady to keep you from squirming from the onslaught of teasing bliss he endlessly bestows upon your body.

"No," you breathe, and if it weren't for Cassian holding your body still, you're sure you would be in your bed by now. So instead, you rotate your head, so you can finally get to see him after what felt like an eternity (a day) of him not being at your side. His eyes are vast, dilated with an unhindered ardor that has you weak in the knees, and amidst all that desire, there's a tenderness almost hidden beneath the dark valleys of his irises.

"Go on then," he urges, and you have to physically tear your eyes away to think clearly and remember what the conversation was about in the first place.

"B-Bix didn't need a drive plate, s-so I sold it to the guy for 230," you tried to keep your voice steady, you really did, but the stumble was inescapable. You feel his lips curve into a self-assured smirk as his hands grow more adventurous.

"Perfect." And even though Cassian whispered the word, with no lust or passion clouding his vision but out of the fluttering in his marred heart, you become utterly lost in him.

Yet as the night passed into the morning, with the sun spilling over the skyline, you couldn't find a more perfect moment you wanted to be trapped in or a more perfect man to be beside.

A headcanon list but it's only Mindy

Idk I just felt like I was neglecting the best girl, so here you go!!

She's in her mid-20s

Has had every phase known to mankind ever since she was a little kid. From Scene, to Metal to preppy, to art kid, she had it all

She loves changing her appearance and trying out new things in general. Even niche hobbies interest her

She also loves to get to know other people being extremely extroverted. She's also a very chatty person, which can be annoying to some people who just want peace

Despite all this, out of her and Vicky, she's the more reserved person. Vicky is 10x as bubbly as Mindy is, which believe me is very bubbly

She and Vicky share a very close bond with each other. Due to only having her mom in her life, Mindy has always tried her best to help her, and one of the reasons she works with Vicky is because she wanted to help her mom get the salon going, and she kinda stayed

Vicky has never pressured Mindy into doing this, but she sometimes feels guilty that her daughter never got another job, and that she's still putting Vicky before herself instead of living her life

Other than being a hairdresser, Mindy has always wanted to be an artist. She sometimes still draws (has DEFINITELY drew herself and Whiff kissing

She met Whiff at the time when she wanted to try out the gym. Whiff kinda showed her around and they started talking about their silly lives so they became friends

Whiff confessed to Mindy during a thunderstorm, that's why they have the lightning bolt symbol

Mindy loves teasing Whiff over silly stuff to make him smile and Whiff usually chuckles on those because he loves to see his gf goofing off and having fun

Other than Whiff, Mindy hangs out with Chuck the most. The two love gossipping together and their favorite subject is the relationship of Quinn and Timm (are they together???? Are they not together????? Who knows)

Mindy also knows every customer's dirty little secret, since she hears all the gossip during her sessions with her guests

She's also very close to Allan and Robby, Allan being her classmate before he moved, and Robby being another friend of hers. Once every few months Mindy hangs out with the two+Chuck and sometimes Taylor

Mindy's terribly afraid of water. She can't swim and boat rides used to scare her (a reason why she was absent from the old Papa's Freezeria). Robby has tried to help her get over this and he was half-successful since now she reluctantly can take boat rides

(TW for mentioning drowning) The reason why she's afraid of water so much is because she almost drowned as a kid in a swimming pool. She doesn't remember it as much because she was still fairly young but she has a very bad feeling about water ever since
