Sometimes, people change, and I knew that But sometimes they change in a way you don’t expect And that’s what happened to you. I hoped to see you again, and I pondered on it for a while Deciding to visit that old path we met  All those years ago, but you weren’t there So, I followed the trail you took  When we talked for the last time It took a while, but I made it And I saw you at the end of the trail But something about you changed You still looked the same, maybe a little older From the pictures posted online, you still loved sports And the walls from your room were still painted pink But you weren’t the talkative girl I knew You were a little quieter The conversations weren’t bombarded with questions Like the ones we used to have The people I knew you liked drifted away But they were still there, as you said And it makes me wonder, what happened Between the day we parted and the day we met again? Did you change between the years? Or was it something I did?
