Yeah I obviously wouldn't wear any of those wedding fits unprovoked, because why should I, but in the context it's okay and sometimes something you have to do in order to respect the culture. Like in Korea they made me wear a Hanbok for Chuseok, haha. It was a nice experience and I felt good being able to participate in other cultures.

Thankfully some shops are missing like ktown4u, MMT but I just know there will be so many rounds from shops like Wonderwall, Makestar etc 🤡 we ordered from almost all shops, so hopefully I'll get all my Hwa's, if not with the first batch then the second. okay I need to write. today was pretty good. I woke up to my alarm at 11 am and started getting ready for my interview. Did my makeup, got the suit on, and had a quick breakfast before ubering downtown. We made good time so I had a solid half hour or so to kill, so I went to the Starbucks on the corner and tried their “dragon drink” for the first time which is their version of “pink drink” made with their mango dragonfruit refresher and coconut milk. it was pretty good. After about 15 minutes or so I went to the bathroom to make sure everything was in place and looked good before heading back up the street to the office. They were up on the 33rd floor, with the suite number 3300, so literally the entire 33rd floor lol. I check in with the receptionist and wait a bit before being called back by the partner I had been emailing with. This is the family law firm. so we started talking about my experience in different areas of law, and it became obvious pretty quickly that their entire practice is divorce and parentage (which is child custody arrangements between unmarried people) which wasn’t terribly surprising because any private family law firms are pretty much synonymous with divorce, so I expected that. She did say they do some domestic battery and order of protection cases which are of course handled at the DV courthouse so I was able to bring up that I did that for 3 years and could get an order of protection in my sleep (I think I literally said that, lol) so that was good. We talked about average day and such, definitely court every day which I’m of course good with, and since they’re an area of law that bills up front (as opposed to taking cases on a contingency fee basis like most personal injury firms do) they have billable hour requirements, but they didn’t seem too terrible, it basically came out to 6 1/2 hours a day or so and I mean as long as you accomplish that during the week there’s no expectation that you have to work weekends or anything like that so I appreciated that. Overall I think it went pretty well, she mentioned they might be hiring two lawyers so that’s good to hear. She was emphasizing that they’d be training me in everything as I wouldn’t have a paralegal for a few years and I was just like well I’m used to learning everything because that’s the life of a law clerk doing all the shitty jobs lol. So I was good with that. She said I’d hear back probably by next Friday, so that’s good. After the interview I took a normal uber home because I wanted to make sure I got home in time for my chiropractor appointment (it wasn’t until 3:30 but uber pools can be really unpredictable and run into problems so it was safer to just do a regular one). I did have some time when I got home, so I changed into PT friendly clothes and then watched last night’s episode of The Resident, which was of course their season finale. I actually had to cut it short at the last like three minutes to run to the chiropractor (everyone there was like “oh wow your eyes look so pretty!” because they hadn’t seen me in make up before from the interview haha) so then when I came back I finished it and hit the big cliffhanger at the end and flipped out lol (spoilers ahead of course). It was an interesting finale because it didn’t really feel like they had that many main season plots to tie up? like the Qvadis stuff was already done and dealt with, so it was really just Nic and her sister, which they handled really well. Even the junkie anesthesiologist was only introduced like an episode or two ago so it’s not like that was a long going plot (this is silly, but I keep feeling bad whenever I think of the guy in the squirrel costume from her first episode who was so sad about missing his convention and I have to keep reminding myself like THIS IS NOT REAL THIS DIDN’T HAPPEN the idea of it just makes me so sad for him, lol). I was pretty happy with the story overall, then of course the cliffhanger left me freaking out. I rewinded and rewatched it all a few times trying to see if there were any giveaways as to whether it was Nic’s dad or her sister who had coded, but as far as I could tell there wasn’t any way to see which, so that’s gonna be a very long cliffhanger to deal with over hiatus. Sigh. Oh well. It was a good season and I’m looking forward to the next one. After I was done with that I did a small amount of kitchen cleaning (bare minimum for now) before figuring out what I was wearing to the concert tonight and touching up my makeup for that before walking over to Jess’ place. She came back from work and picked up me and her roommate, then drove to the concert. We did make a stop at the McDonald’s along the way because none of us had actually eaten and ended up splitting 40 chicken nuggets lol (Jess wanted 20 because the lunches at her job are shit, and her roommate and I each had 10), but then we were back on our way. This venue is one I hadn’t been to before, but it’s where we have tickets for the Monsta X concert at which are of course our front row seats. We had shitty balcony seats for this one because we didn’t care about the band that much (it was NCT 127 if anyone cares) and were mostly there to hear a handful of songs we like from them. It was pretty entertaining though, I enjoyed it. Towards the end when the bands generally do a little send off with each member they just like, kept talking and talking lol, it was mostly driven by the fact that one of the members is actually from Chicago (surprisingly KPop bands actually have a variety of Asian members who grew up in different parts of the world) so that was all very emotional for him because it was the first time they’d been here on tour and they were talking about how they all went to his house yesterday and met his parents and everything which was very cute but by the end of it we were like OKAY GET ON WITH IT ALREADY MY FEET HURT 😂so I was kinda happy when they finished, but it was sweet. Getting out of the parking lot and onto the freeway was a mess because nobody knew what they were doing, but once we got onto the freeway the rest of the way home was fine. It was like 11:45 at this point and my roommate was actually already asleep when I got back so I had to be quiet, so I pretty much just showered and started getting ready for bed at that point, with a quick snack thrown in there, and now I’m here and it’s almost 2 am, so definitely time for bed.
