Heyyyy, cryptic pregnancy anon here again! I just wanted to say you were right; there’s no way the brothers wouldn’t all sense MC was in labor, or at least in a great deal of pain.

So here’s my better, more accurate hcs (with NO bloody details dw)

* Lucifer is probably the first to notice something is up, followed by Satan, then Mammon and Asmo, then Beel and Belphi, and Levi is the last to catch on, let’s be real here.

* Satan is the one to do all the, erm, medical stuff, because he has the most knowledge; he tries to tell lucifer something seems off about the baby (something about there being gold on the baby?), but lucifer is either too busy or the room is too loud for lucifer to properly hear him, and he’s more focused on Levi who’s looking rather feint. Lucifer focuses on keeping everyone else calm and barking orders at them. Mammon runs and gets the phone to call a real doctor, Asmo brings the fluffiest dry towels (warmed on his heated towel wrack to keep the baby warm ofc), Beel brings ice chips, Belphie holds MC’s hand to keep her calm, and Levi…is passed out on the floor atp. Beel and lucifer carry him off to a corner of the room so he doesn’t get stepped on or tripped over lmao.

* Once things have settled down, and the doctor has determined MC and the baby are ok, Lucifer orders everyone out of the room so MC can have some peace and quiet (everyone complains but ultimately comply when they see how haggard she looks). When they’re alone, Lucifer finally pulls her into his arms so he can hold her and get a good look at the new edition to the family.

* He damn near faints when he sees the little wings and horns just barely peaking out from their head and back. They’re both too small to have much shape yet, but the tips have an unmistakable gold coloration. And when he gets a good look at the gold triangular pattern on their little arms when they flail out of the fluffy towels bundled around them (Satan is very capable in a lot of areas, but probably not so good at swaddling a squirmy baby, so the swaddle was a little loose lmao), he knows immediately who the father is.

* Lucifer practically leaps from the bed and frantically pulls his DDD out to call Dia. He’s frantically speaking in infernal (so MC can’t hear him), and he looks like he’s about to cry. Not because he’s jealous or mad, but because he know how this could hurt his lovers.

* He and dia manage to work it out, but the like of paperwork on both men’s desks is historically tall. Barb and the brothers pitch in as much as they can, but even then the pile seems never-ending.

* With all the older bros and dia and Barb tied up with paperwork, Dia and luci decide it would be best for everyone to just stay where they are until the living arrangements can be properly sorted out.

* It’s hard on everyone, but when MC brings the smiling, cooing bundle into Lucifer’s office so Luci and Dia get a chance to bond with the baby too (Barb too but not as much since he takes over paperwork duty so the boys can hold the baby and whatnot), everyone decides it’s all worth it. Bonus thought for this one too: sleepy luci with a pen in one hand and the baby tucked snugly against him in the crook of his arm, fast asleep, while he does paperwork. Dia comes up behind him and kisses his forehead, and demands baby time.

* Speaking of dia with the baby: he’s a baby hog. He has them cradled in his arms as much as he possibly can. The way they yawn and snuggle into the warmth of his chest melts his heart and he genuinely starts crying every damn time.

* luci and dia can’t always take care of the baby tho bc of paperwork, but that doesn’t mean mc is alone in this; Uncle Asmo to the rescue! Asmo and Beel are basically co-parents atp. Beel loves bottle-feeding the baby, and Asmo loves bathing them and planning their outfits bc he gets to pamper them; no, really, this baby already has a 10-step skincare routine at two weeks old 😭🙌. Asmo isn’t as fond of diaper changes and spit-up, but he cleans them anyway because he genuinely worries about MC’s sleep, or lack thereof.

* Mammon tries to take care of the kid, but is too nervous to do it alone so he usually helps out in other ways, like cleaning the bottle when the baby falls asleep in beel’s arms so Beel can’t do it himself.

* Levi refuses to even be in the same room with the baby at first, but after a while warms up enough to try to talk to them and coo back at them. He nearly died of happiness when MC took them to his room when the baby was fussy and couldn’t sleep, but fell asleep as soon as they were in his room (Levi’s room is very blue and dim, both of which are calming to toddlers and babies, so it’d be a prime nap spot for a fussy baby).

* Speaking of naps: belphi is always there when it’s time for the baby to sleep, even if it cuts into his own nap time, so he can make sure the baby gets to sleep easily. MC has to buy a second bedside bassinet so the baby can sleep with belphi lmao (we promote safe sleep in this house! Even for titanium-strength royal demon babies!)

* Omg I just thought of when the baby is old enough to eat solid foods! Barb, Simeon, and Luke all have a “Baby Bake-Off” where they make baby-safe desserts for them to try, and whichever one they like the most wins! (C’mon, it’s dia’s baby, we all know Barb has this in the BAG, and wins every round lmaooo. He does remember what the young master liked as a baby, after all. Luke complains he has an unfair advantage).

finally getting around to watching 13's run in full (just finished rewatching s11, about to start s12) in preparation for the 60th anniversary and i have thoughts. so here's a rambling post to try and sum them up cohesively:

i know i'm not the only one who feels that chibnall's run feels a bit disconnected. part of that was no doubt intentional (new doctor, new showrunner, new start) but it feels a little too disconnected. in fact it almost feels like a spin-off rather than the main series.

Jodie's a good actress, but i'm not entirely sold on 13's personality. one thing about New Who is that you can pretty logically understand the progression of the the Doctor's personalities throughout the various series & regenerations, but 13 feels just a tad off. after 12's run it makes sense that 13 would be lighter & happier, but the way she's written makes it feel more like a regression than a progression. the narrative often makes her come off a over-excitable and less competent, partly because of chibnall's wish to have an unconnected series. i like that we got introductions to the bigger universe of DW instead of the same antagonists over and over, but having 13 constantly not recognizing or not being able to figure things out on her own felt almost condescending.

i like all the companions in theory (except Dan since i haven't seen s13 yet). on paper, they're all very distinct from each other, which was a concern i had since previous companions sometimes felt like different shades of the same color. in practice, i don't think they're developed enough individually for me to form strong feelings about any of them. i feel like the writers took a shortcut expecting viewers to automatically favor the companions and then didn't build enough of a bridge to get me to actually like them as characters.

so far the pacing of nearly every episode also feels off. i'm not as familiar with chibnall's writing signatures as i am with Davies or Moffat, but if i was just basing it off of s11 & s12, i'd say he struggles with self-contained one episode stories. doctor who has always offered a lot of social commentary, but sometimes i think he tries to pack in too many layers that the overall message gets muddled. most episode feel like the intro drags and the ending is rushed. there is an issue with keeping an appropriate level of tension throughout.

this is a personal preference, but i also didn't like the level of connectivity/foreshadowing we got in s11. the stenza get mentioned in s11e1 and e2, and then dropped until e10. when Tim Shaw pops up again in the finale, it feels less like the return of a major antagonist and more like they just didn't have anyone else to bring in. intentionally or not, the narrative feels like it blames 13 for Tim Shaw's actions. the doctor's lack of follow-through is a fair criticism of their past actions that has been rightly levied against them before, but in this case it felt like it came from nowhere.

i only got halfway through s12 the first time. i'm hopeful that it'll feel more cohesive once i watch the entirety, and i've heard good things about s13, so i'm excited about that.

I remember I once went with friends to a pumpkin patch place that also had little activities to do & fresh baked treats & foods. We took a tractor hay ride around it & I still look back on it fondly. They also had a really nice sunflower field & we took some cute photos. 🥰

Ever since Levi was surprised with a roommate—he was approved late, with most other dorms taken by at least one person, and he thought he preferred to live alone—you, he has tiptoed around you a little. You both get along great, but he'd be lying if he said he was used to always having another person around. A friend.

And, maybe he has been crushing on you since sophomore year, and he's mentally having a crisis.

He scrubs a hand down his face and shoves his notes aside on his bedroom's desk. He can't focus like this... especially with the savory warm smell wafting its way in from the kitchen.

You're cooking tonight, for the first time since you arrived, and he's busy wondering whether you plan to spare him any. He kind of locked himself in his room before pans began to clatter, and so he has no idea what you're making.

He doesn't get why he can't just talk to you like a normal person. It's not like—

The oven beeps from way down the hall, in the kitchen.

It's not like you hate him. Quite the opposite, it seems like. You always try to include him in things, and you share many of the same friends, even some classes.

He needs to get up the guts to do something, but you have a tendency to make him freeze at all moments. Levi, frozen.

Then he frowns. Nothing but silence has come from the kitchen so far, so he stands and pads down the hall.

When he gets there, before all else he sees you. You, sat in the bend between the L-shaped counter with your knees folded up to your chest and a fat pair of headphones on your head.

It's like you're... high, staring off into nothing, rocking slightly. Your eyes open, then close. You don't notice him.

Levi says your name as he shuts off the oven and grabs a pair of mitts. Seems you made a whole casserole. Damn.

Upon further inspection, some ingredients like the onion and chopped celery are sitting out, neglected to have been mixed in with the slimy bowl in the sink, and so, the casserole.

No reply as he opens the fridge, but of course not, right? The headphones.

Still. You don't seem to even see him.

He stuffs the food in, only to frown when he spots an empty can of chicken broth sitting on the top shelf.

Worry drops his heart to his stomach.

He shuts the fridge without another thought before dropping down to your side, and shaking your shoulder. "Hey, are you—with me?"

Hoping, praying he isn't overstepping, he nudges your headphones back, and slides them around your neck. Nothing's playing.

He snaps your name.

You jerk and look from his retreating hand to him, blinking slow. Your brow knits. “...What? I… Fuck, I'm dizzy." Your eyes close.

"What?" he parrots.

"I... don’t know how I got here.”

"You were making dinner," Levi says, like it's obvious, which it should be.

Should he take you somewhere? Your application, nor you yourself ever warned him about this... what, zoning out? He strongly considers what to do.

"How do I help you?" He urgently searches your lost gaze.

You seem to register the look on his face, finally. “Sometimes, I just… do this. It’s fine.” You blink rapidly. "Levi... 'm sorry. Sorry, I..."

"No, stop worrying." He blushes, looks down. "You mind if I help you stand?—D-Do you need help?"

Your jaw stammers, eyes wide and shiny, like they're daring to cry, but the tears are blocked.

"Here," he tells you gently. A warm palm lands on your shoulder again, then another.

You lurch towards the contact. "I don't know where I am," you blubber, breathing harder. "I-I dunno..."

Your headphones drop from their precarious place by your ear, but not quick enough that Levi can't catch them.

"You're in our kitchen, in our dorm," he soothes.

"This... will end," he goes on, because it must. He says your name softly. "Come with me, to your room. You're gonna be fine, I'll take care of it."

You nod tearfully.
