"you don't even know how to make tea. you're going to burn yourself." brooke groaned, but finally gave up and watched as dylan was making her something to eat and drink. she knew riley was supposed to be done with his meeting soon and she was dying to see him, but she was still feeling anxious about it.

Garth Brooks Will Serve Bud Light in His Nashville Bar

- “If you’re an a(ss)hole, there are plenty of other places,” country singer says

Garth Brooks wants to welcome (almost) everyone to his soon-to-open Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky Tonk in Nashville.

But one group need not apply.

“If you’re an a-hole, there are plenty of other places on lower Broadway,” he said.

Brooks was talking to Billboard magazine about his decision to serve Bud Light beer, which has become a lightning rod for assholes after the brand worked with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

In fact, bars owned by John Rich and Kid Rock stopped selling Bud Light, Billboard reported.

That won’t happen at Friends in Low Places, Brooks said.

“And yes, we’re going to serve every brand of beer,” he said. “We just are. It’s not our decision to make. Our thing is this, if you (are let) into this house, love one another.”

As for Rich, he told Fox (natch): “Garth might find out not many people are going to order” Bud Light.

Garth Brooks, easily my favorite musician from when I was in middle school, is opening up a celebrity bar in Nashville like so many other country stars. John Rich, the conservative shit stain formally of the band Big & Rich, and Kid Rock also have bars that won’t serve Bud Light because of the beer’s alliance with Dylan Mulvaney but Garth won’t let transphobic backlash decide what beers to serve. Garth Brooks, an LGBT ally since the 90s said that if you’re going into his bar, you need to treat everyone with respect because he expects his patrons to have manners, and if you’re going in his bar, you need to treat other people with respect and if you fail to do so then there are a lot of other bars, in his words, that you can go to. A relevant quote from the article: “Brooks has been an ally to the LGBTQ community dating back to the 1990s. His 1992 song "We Shall Be Free" spoke out against homophobia and racism.”

Personally, putting a song on your album as one of the biggest musicians in the world advocating for marriage equality 20 years before it would end up happening in America is really amazing.
