Katsuki was a smoothie. But not just any smoothie- a metal smoothie. Drinking him would result in death.

Izuku was a human- a human in love with Katsuki, the forbidden drink, and, forbidden love.

One day when Izuku got home from work, he was really parched. He opened his fridge, grabbing a bottle of water and downing it.

Katsuki watched him from the fridge, absolutely captivated by how hot he looked while drinking. ‘Why couldn’t that be me?’ He thought to himself. ‘I didn’t choose to be a metal drink… I just want someone to drink me. No… not someone. Him. I want /him/ to drink me. I /need/ him to drink me.’

Once finished with the water, Izuku threw the bottle into the trash. He opened the fridge again, staring at Katsuki.

“God… I want to drink you so bad. I mean, I could- I have no family, no friends… all I have is you, and I can’t even do anything with you!”

He sniffled quietly, holding back tears. He didn’t want to cry in front of Katsuki, he wanted to be strong.

Izuku was silent for a few minutes, pondering whether or not to drink him. After about ten minutes of silence, he let out a heavy sigh.

“Fine. I’ll drink you. That way, we can be together forever. It’s-its better than this!”

Izuku grabbed Katsuki, twisting his cap off. “I love you Kacchan…” He smiled softly, before gulping him down.

It took a few minutes for it to happen. Luckily, it was painless- Izuku didn’t like pain, yet was risking it for Katsuki. He laid down on the couch, a smile on his face.

“We can finally be together..”

Anyway I wanna talk about this scene because some ppl were saying that it would have been more meaningful for Katsuki to say something like “I’m sorry” but I think what he said at that moment is perfect.

For one Katsuki’s atonement is something he is doing for himself because he feels that it is something Izuku deserves, it is not something that Izuku is particularly looking for since he has long since forgiven Katsuki. So saying something like “I’m sorry” would mean that he did what he did solely for his atonement and the guilt that he felt for bullying Izuku for all those years. But since he told Izuku to stop playing hero on his own, he was thinking about Izuku and Izuku’s well-being first and foremost rather than his guilt for what he did in the past. Meaning almost dying for Izuku (although his way of atoning) was mainly because he truly cares for him.

Katsuki walked into the hospital, a bouquet of purple hyacinths in hand. He checked in with the receptionist before heading to Izuku's room.

He entered the room, half expecting him to be awake. He wasn't.

He was still in a coma, with no signs of waking up.

Katsuki set down the bouquet on the windowsill, tossing the previous dead flowers into the trashcan.

He sat in the chair beside Izuku's bed.

"I'm so sorry, Deku.. if I had been a second faster, then you wouldn't be here.."

Three months ago, Izuku and Katsuki were doing their patrol, the same as any day.

An hour before their patrol ended, they ran into Muscular. He escaped from Tartarus once again.

With no other hero's in the immediate vicinity, Izuku and Katsuki had to fight him on their own.

It was a hard fight. The hardest either of them had fought since their time in UA.

It was gruesome.

An hour into the fight, and still no backup. It was in a desolate part town, so why would there be?

Almost two hours into the fight, and Muscular knocked Izuku out.

If Katsuki had reacted a split second sooner, he would've been able to stop him.

Finally, more pro hero's arrived and dealt with the villain.

Rushing to Izuku's side, Katsuki was screaming at him to wake up.

He didn't.

The ambulance got there, immediately rushing Izuku to the hospital. Katsuki paced in the waiting room, refusing to leave until he knew if Izuku was okay.

After a few hours of testing, the doctor told Katsuki that Izuku was in a coma, without any signs of waking up.

As soon as he got home, Katsuki broke down sobbing. He blamed himself. Wouldn't you blame yourself too? If he had been quicker on his feet, if he had just reacted sooner, then he could've prevented this.

…

It was a few minutes before visiting hours ended. Katsuki looked the time, sighing softly.

“Deku, please… please wake up. I need you, I-..I can’t do this without you. My whole life, I tried distancing myself from you. I was scared of you surpassing me- and I didn’t know how to deal with my emotions. Hell, I still don’t know how to deal with them that well..” Katsuki wipes his eyes, trying to not cry.

“I never meant to hurt you back then.. I didn’t know what I was feeling, and I was scared. I never intended for any of this to happen! But… I’m- i’m getting better- for you. De-Izuku… I’ve loved you for a long time. Please… come back to me. I need you…”

He took Izuku’s hand in his own, giving it a small kiss before grabbing his bag and leaving.

…

Katsuki had just gotten out of class when he got the call. He dropped his books and ran out of the building.

He raced to get to the hospital before it was too late.

“Don’t die, oh please don’t die,” he thought to himself.

Too bad he didn’t make it in time. Again.

Katsuki burst into Izuku’s room.

“Time of death, 15:43.”

He heard ringing in his ears. “Sir, you can’t be in here- you need to leave.” Katsuki was unaware of what was going on around him. He felt a hand on his shoulder and looked up at the nurse. “Sir, you have to go. You’re not allowed to be in here currently.”

He nodded slightly before stepping out of the room.

Katsuki wasn’t able to stay. He couldn’t handle it. The smell of the hospital reminded him too much of Izuku.

Without a second thought, Katsuki left the hospital and went home.
