TSME Week Day 3: Family
After getting asked by Hop if he has any siblings, Alain thinks about his relationship with Mairin.
“I’m Lee’s little brother, after all!” It was obvious Hop was trying to stamp down his ego after the compliment. The sight was quite amusing. “You’ve any little siblings yourself, Mr Alain?”
Alain stopped himself when the image of a certain girl flashed into his mind.

List of Alola Pokémon that have exclusive Z-Moves:
List of Kalos Pokémon that have Mega Evolutions:
Seriously, I find it so bizarre that none of the Kalos Pokémon have access to the flashy new battle gimmick that was introduced in their home region.
And before you go "But Diancie---", you mean the EVENT EXCLUSIVE POKÉMON, with the EVENT EXCLUSIVE MEGA STONE that you'll never ever obtain in a casual playthrough without hacking?
The one Mega that's so inaccessible that I genuinely didn't know it existed until 4 years after X and Y came out????
And I'm not even kidding, I posted my reaction to finding out it existed to Miiverse because I accidentally Mega Evolved it in Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon. Look:
Like, holy shit. I know that Mega Evolution was Gamefreak's first attempt at a big flashy battle gimmick so they probably didn't think any Kalos Pokémon needed one and they wised up and gave Megas to more Hoenn Pokémon for ORAS but MAAAAN did they really drop the ball on that first attempt. Like, the Kanto and Hoenn Starters got Megas but the Kalos Starters didn't. The Kalos Starters got overshadowed in their own generation.
so with the latest trailer for the DLCs confirming outright that Terapagos (and by extension Ogerpon) have a different Tera type than the usual set that physically changes them, i fully expect to see a lot of fanart of other Pokémon getting a similar transformation (like how we've seen fan designs of Mega evolutions for Pokémon that didn't get one, Gigantamaxes for Pokémon that didn't get one, hell even this generation with fan designs for Paradox Pokémon)
WHAT: Play the online versus ranked mode and match with other people in doubles or singles battles.
WHERE: In Galar (Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield).
WHEN: Every week on Saturday 1700-2000 UTC and Sunday 0000-0300 UTC (and a countdown link for the next fight night). Two 3-hour time slots listed to accommodate different timezones' saturday nights.
WHY: To populate the Pokemon Sword & Shield ranked ladder so more players have the opportunity to rank up. (and to potentially win a raffle for old event pokemon!)
@ SirToastyToes made a video outlining this event. But in short, this "Galar Fight Night" mainly serves as a way for the community to help others reach Master Rank in the versus mode. Upon reaching Master Rank, players have the ability to earn the "Rank Master Ribbon" for any future victory within that rank.
But having been released nearly 5 years ago and a majority of the player base moving to the more recent game's ranks (Scarlet & Violet), very few people remain playing Sword & Shield. And for avid pokemon ribbon collectors, the Rank Master Ribbon is neigh impossible to achieve for the 200+ pokemon unable to visit Scarlet & Violet.
So the Pokemon Ribboning Community has organized a weekly event where people are encouraged to play ranked matches regardless of their current tier. Build a party or borrow a team, I hope to see more people in the stadiums of Galar!
Honestly, the fact that Sword and Shield's story acknowledged raids as a thing was probably a bad idea, if only because it gives you the expectation that Tera Raids would be a similarly consistent thing only to have no explanation, in base game, for why there's a bunch of crystalline HP sponges just sitting around the map.
Not everything needs to be explained, but once you set a precedent, it's going to have more people thinking about it.
I hate raid battles so much I hate not getting herbs when I do somehow win them I hate this wtf were they thinking this is not enjoyable if I did not want a shiny eevee and voltorb so bad rn I would not subjecting myself to this torture
In my opinion, giving in to peer pressure and introducing raids was the worst thing Pokémon has done to itself, ever. Even worse than cutting out Pokémon.
