I think the fictional character report category is an idiot filter, like how 4chan lets you report a post for being "low quality"
So I'm hopeful that this is the case but the wording of the policy itself isn't very promising to me. So I've seen people bring up a specific part of the new policy ("photos of real individuals, illustrations, animation, or text"), namely the part about real individuals, and using that as proof that this is strictly about actual CSAM and threats towards minors and not about fiction.
But the way it's worded made me draw the opposite conclusion? Maybe I'm just being unnecessarily pedantic, but when items are listed out like that, it's usually to indicate that they're all individual items with any shared characteristics being placed at the end. So generally speaking, if all those things only applied to depictions of real minors, I would assume that it would be worded as, "photos, illustrations, animation, or text of real individuals." But because the "real individuals" part is at the beginning, "photos of real individuals", "illustrations", "animation", and "text" are all indicated to be separate and distinct categories.
Again, I could just be being pedantic, but I'm not hugely optimistic about this. And if the fictional content report button IS just an idiot filter, then it really needs to have a disclaimer establishing that the content in question will not be reported to legal authorities under US federal law even if it's found to be in violation of tumblr's policies. Not having that disclaimer is misleading at best, and at worst, it's an indication that tumblr staff will be wasting the time and resources of these organizations by reporting drawings of anime characters as CSAM.

Character: Toothless or Viggo?
Toothless, of course!
He’s the GOAT.

Toothless? In the "Snoggletog Special," he's seen drawing a stick figure representation of Hiccup (and gently correcting his kids when they assume Hiccup's a dragon and add wings), and in the second movie, he mocks Hiccup prattling on by mouthing "blah, blah, blah." Honestly marks him as more intelligent than probably some of the humans in those films.
Plus he's hot.
Sorry, but can’t. Dragons in there are treated as semi-intelligent pets at most, even though you are right about Toothless being more intelligent than some humans. Then again, so are some kids, right, and that’s why intelligence is a different word than sentience or mental maturity.
Also, I’d prefer responding to this privately but for some reason I can’t answer privately on this blog, or maybe just this ask? Tumblr might be buggy in asks, which is not uncommon.

Unexpected to find on a cassette: the snapcube Sonic Adventure 2 real-time fandub audio
Interesting answer! It 100% fits the qualifications, however Unless it can fit in under an hour 20 minutes, then it’s too ling for a standard sized cassette
I’m not putting it on a cassette tho. I’m not dedicated enough to the bit for that. Nevertheless a great answer! Thanks for the input!

📓📓
Put "📓" or some other version of a book emoji into my inbox and I'll explain the plot of a fanfiction that I haven't written but daydream about.
Reasons I didn't get to this for a week: midterms. But let's do the two I'm working on!
Saint Seiya: Sing Upon the Midnight Hour is my NaNoWriMo 2022 project. It is the Sagiverse retelling of Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas, and is going to probably be a 250-400k mess. I'm not likely to get very far into the plot, but I will have 50k of a rough draft that gives me a good idea of how the pacing is going to go. I am Afraid. Because this is my tenth NaNo, and that's a big deal, I'm tackling the sole biggest noveling project I'm likely to have for the next few years. We're gonna see how well I do!
How Glad I Am to Follow You: a series subtitled as the Miles & Phoenix Shorts, because Ace Attorney was cannibalized by Sagiverse in about a week. It goes through a few different arcs and currently has eight planned shorts, and will probably have twice that by the time I'm done writing it. It's about Miles Edgeworth's and Phoenix Wright's relationship over the years, starting with their college era directly after Dahlia's and Phoenix's breakup (I don't know how it happens yet, only that it does) and ending with their final romantic confession. They broke up in their college years because von Karma told Miles to never see Phoenix again, and Miles complied given that von Karma was already implied to have murdered his wife's sibling who voiced discontent with their sister's marriage to him, and Miles chose "Phoenix is alive" over "Phoenix is my romantic partner". Cue Phoenix pulling an Elle Woods, several years of miscommunication and trauma, a faked suicide attempt, and Miles getting shot. Also includes some fun von Karma OCs we all love!

top 5 fictional dragons
Ridley (Metroid): I love his lanky, skeletal design and Long Snout, and he's such a glorious asshole. His boss fights are always a highlight of any Metroid game, and his theme song kicks ass.
Paarthurnax (The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim): On the other side of the spectrum from Ridley, Grandpa Paarthurnax is a joy to actually be around. I still think about his "What is better? To be born good, or to overcome your evil nature through great effort?" line a lot.
Charizard (Pokémon): One of my three tied-for-favourite mons alongside Pikachu and Mewtwo. Seeing a dragon on the cover of Red was what prompted me to ask Dad to buy it, and Charmander was my very first Pokémon. Again I like the Long Snout design and the little flame on the tail - very cool!
Dragon Frye (Alisia Dragoon): The fact that his name is a fire-based pun on "dragonfly" is just the beginning! I don't actually use him much in gameplay, but he's vital for the speedrun, and it's a treat to see a skilled player use him well. Plus, more Long Snout.
Queen Wyzásukitán (The Firebringer Trilogy, Meredith Ann Pierce): The Firebringer Trilogy has a couple of interesting takes on dragons, but I think Wyzásukitán and her people are my favourite. They sleep for hundreds of years in their mountain caves, only an unmated Queen and her mate can fly, and they have kappa-like pools of dragonwater on their heads that other species can use to see into dragon dreams and can drink to temporarily become extremely powerful physically. She can also fly as fast as a jet liner.

This owl drama seems like yet another case of "knowledge in one field does not mean knowledge in another." As far as I can tell, they know their stuff around birds (or at least owls)... but human psychology is a very different beast. Usually a lot fewer feathers.
Yup. It's a depressingly common attitude on this website :/
I just wish they could acknowledge that they don't know what they're talking about instead of just digging that hole deeper and deeper.

Voretober 04 - Hole
Length: 1000 words Vore type: Oral vore, F/M, unwilling prey, hammerspace vore Fandom: None (Kahudra) Other info: dragon/human, implied digestion Summary: If you jump in the hole, the dragon will eat you. It doesn't matter that she's small.
"Hey, kitty-cat. I know your kind doesn't like getting wet, but d'ya know if this place is any good for surfing?"
Dzamie looked up from his crossword puzzle. He wasn't sure what about a cheetah sitting next to a pit in the sand, quietly working on puzzles, made him a magnet for stuff like this - he was even in a swimsuit, himself! But he might as well get some entertainment from it, or at least give the surfer a chance to not be a jerk.
"This stretch? Good for swimming and floating, but for surfing, it's better past that pier over there," he said, pointing his pencil at the fishing pier a moderate walk away. "Oh, and watch out for the hole."
"Good kitty," the man condescended - Dzamie's ears flicked in annoyance - then looked over at the hole, only a couple feet deep and twice as wide. "And hey, just cuz I'm a whiz on water doesn't mean I can't handle the sand."
"It's less the hole itself, and more the dragon laying in it." He sat forward in his chair to look over the edge of the pit, and waved at Sylvia, ten pounds of golden dragoness curled up half-asleep at the bottom. She cracked open an eye and waved back.
Rather than simply leaving, the surfer crossed his arms with a smile. "Oh, sure, he looks real tough. If I twist my ankle falling in there, he could give me a pretty serious light scrape!"
"Dragoness, actually. And she eats people who go in the hole," Dzamie informed him, "so don't fall in unless you want to get eaten."
The man looked at him, then at Sylvia. "You're joking, right? She's tiny. The zoo has bigger geckos."
Dzamie shrugged and refocused on his crossword. "Every single person who's gone in there has gotten eaten."
"Yeah? And how many is that?"
"Haven't been keeping count. You could ask her."
The surfer scoffed. "Please, anything more than zero is clearly just an empty brag."
"Eight today," Sylvia chipped in. Despite her small voice, both guys heard her clearly.
"Eight it is," agreed Dzamie, "so yeah, watch your step or it'll be nine."
"ME watch my step?" the man laughed, "just look at her. She's the one who'll have to look out. In fact… look out!"
Dzamie set his puzzle on his lap again and watched, with idle amusement, the surfer taking a few steps back. With a confident smirk, the man ran and leapt up, over the edge of the hole. It was clear that he had no intention of clearing it, but rather aimed his landing directly at the little dragon laying at the bottom. Sylvia tracked him, too, keeping her head lined up with his sandy feet; moments before impact, she opened her tiny jaws.
The hapless braggart landed nearly a foot deeper than he intended: rather than landing on Sylvia's muzzle, he landed in it, his calves somehow fitting into her hungry mouth and sliding in until hitting some resistance. Unbalanced, he fell back; magic leapt to Dzamie's paws, and a faint, green bubble insulated his shouted curse from any onlookers. Still, the cheetah couldn't help but wince, as sand was never as soft to land on as it appeared. Of course, that would soon be the least of his troubles.
With a gulp loud enough that even Dzamie heard it outside the sandy hole, Sylvia dragged her catch in, knees vanishing without a trace into her slender, golden neck. The surfer-turned food soon recovered from his fall, but by the time he'd made sense of where he was, or rather, where the rest of his legs were, she was halfway up his thighs, soaking his swimwear with drool rather than water. He reached down to pry her jaws open and pull himself out, but that only got them stuck by his sides - another swallow, and his head dipped under the rim of the hole, and no amount of thrashing his torso back and forth earned him a single inch of freedom back.
Dzamie got up, set his puzzle down, stretched, and laid on his belly next to the hole, for a better view. Only the surfer's head and bare shoulders were visible outside of Sylvia's hungry little jaws, and from the look on his face, his earlier machismo had given way to mortal terror. Sylvia's throat pulled at him, and he tipped his head back as her snout crept up his neck. Dzamie smiled back at him. "Y'know," he said, "I've never tried surfing in her stomach. Maybe it's a good thing you didn't simply ignore the obvious hole in the ground."
Last words were wasted on wishing ill of the furry onlooker, and then Sylvia's jaws clacked together. A final swallow, then the dragoness opened back up to show off her maw, empty of prey; aside from the copious drool, there was little if any sign of the whole person who fell eight feet and counting into a two-foot-deep hole. After giving him the view, Sylvia grinned at her friend. "So, wanna help me hit double digits?"
Dzamie looked at the shadow of his chair. "It is getting sorta late…" He leapt to his feet and jerked his head towards the water. "Tell you what, I'm gonna go cool off a bit, and then you'll be my ride back to the house, okay?" With a snap of his fingers, the chair and crossword vanished.
"Alright! But if you don't hurry, who knows if some other poor fool will steal lucky number ten from you?" Dragon and cheetah exchanged smiles, and then he ran off to the water's edge while she reconstructed a sandy nest. Relaxation, entertainment, free meals… this was definitely an outing worth repeating.

Do you prefer thinking about/drawing/writing about your own characters or other characters from media/other people? On average, do you think about one more than the other?
Like 90% of my kink thoughts are of "generic [species] character." When self-inserting, I do so in Dzamie's body - it's a familiar cheetah who got his paw caught down a kobold's throat, whose legs were bound by a Serperior, who's watching in a hypnotized daze as a hammerspace dragon gulps him down - but not with his character.
I think I'd say I go for "other characters" more often, though, from the remaining 10%. What I like in persistent characters is rarely what I like in my sexual fantasies, or at least vice versa, and I don't feel as bad making, say, Toothless or Gallus act OOC for the purpose of them being a good pred as I do stripping Dzamie of his magic, strength, and cunning or making Sylvia significantly more wicked than she actually is.
The one exception to this is probably Sel'riss, since he does do both willing nonfatal and unwilling fatal... but only films his faux-unwilling (agreed beforehand) faux-fatal (let out after the camera's off). So picturing myself sinking into his jaws rarely ever requires taking him out of character.
I've actually been on a bit of an Exxy kick, recently, which further tilts the scale. He's a /trash/ vore thread OC from a few years back and is very cute. Known for eating anons, of course.
Here, come closer, I'll show you what that's like~
