It’s been a while since I’ve drawn the Silmaril Triplets but I’ve been thinking about them, so here’s them based off Botticelli’s Three Graces

Silmaril daughters AU
@ibrithir-was-here has this amazing AU where the Silmarils are Feanor's daughters, and she draws wonderful comics for the storylines. Here's the drawing of the daughters grown-up.
So, I was messing around with Artbreeder the other day, and here's what the adult form of the Silmaril daughters might look like:
Tellumaien (the one raised in Doriath/sails the night sky with Earendil) :
Tumblr media
Narewen (The one Maedhros threw into the cracks of the earth and was later raised by the dwarves of Erebor):
Tumblr media
Eabariel (The one Maglor threw into the sea and grew up with Ulmo):
Tumblr media
(or hopefully she doesn't get thrown into the sea and stays with Maglor)

Hi! I love all your work and I love your Ring Babies and Silmaril Babies AUs so much. I would very much like to see your interpretation of them meeting as adults in Aman maybe?
Thank you for your patience! I know this is more designs then a scene but I hope these are ok! I put the like elements together, so we’ve got Tellumaien and Vilya, Eabariel and Nenya, and Narewen and Narya

Quick question! do the triplets grow up? how'd they look like as adults?
Tumblr media
When they’re not in Silmaril form then yes they do! I decided to draw them out in their adult forms for the different AU endings where they aren’t all stuck in dormant, so we’ve got Narewen raised by the dwarves of Erebor( and possibly becoming queen of Dale), Eabariel as a traveling minstrel, wandering the coast with Maglor ( he teaches her but can’t really play anymore himself due to his burned hands :( And Tellumaien in sailing gear wandering the skies with Earendil

So what if, in an au of the Silm babies, Mags doesn’t throw the stone away and ends up raising her as he’s a sad hermit?
I am 100% down for sad hermit big brother Maglor raising Eabariel as they wander around Arda, except my brain had to make it angsty that it still hurts him if she directly touches him, so it’s like a bittersweet platonic Pushing Up Daisies scenario. But the whole thing would be about familial love enduring thru their respective traumas and how they’re both able to find some peace with each other after all they’ve been thru.

With your jewel kids' au, I can't imagine how awfully cruel/sad Mags throwing one into the Sea and Mae throwing himself into lava with one would be... Any headcanons for these occassions?
Love your artstyle, btw! ❤️
Thank you!! And I do! I feel like at this point both brothers are just at their utter low point. All their other family members are gone, apart from themselves and the silmarils. Once they get them back and even those burn them—showing that they fear even their own brothers at this point, it just pushes them both over edge. Lost in mental/physical/emotional pain Maedhros just decides to end it all, and take himself and Narewen out of a world that’s shown them both nothing but pain and loss, and purposely falls into the abyss. Maglor on the other hand, while also suffering just as much, throws Eabariel into the sea in a fit of agony from being burned, not fully realizing what he’s doing. Once he comes back to himself he desperately tries to find her again, but by then she’s already been washed out into the sea.
Since both were in silmaril form they’ll survive their respective elements, but neither will be seen again until the end of the Last Age...

Hi! In the Silm Triplets AU, how do you think Fëanor would react to re-meeting the triplets when (if) he is reborn? Considering they’ve grown into very different individuals and all
Ok, so, I don't know what you've already planned, but the thoughts on the matter that I've had are Feanor is prophesied not to be reborn until basically the end of the world, so when he comes back it's likely that everyone is sort of in preparation for Dagor Dagorath. Like, I'm picturing an almost World War 2 D Day prep military set up, constant activity. Making ships, making swords, preparing to return to Arda proper to aid the Secondborn in the war and whatnot. Either Morgoth has already broken thru the Door of Night or it's splintering, whatever that look like. Maybe Arien and Tilion have already fallen, and they're in the midst of the war right then.
Either way, I picturing the Triplets are all doing their part in the war effort.
Narewen had probably already bonded with Nerdanel and her family again, and is helping them and Lord Aule to fashion weapons and armor and whatever else they might need.
Eabariel is feisty, I can see her wanting to go out and put her dancing skills to new use fighting Morgoth' s armies herself (get some proper vengeance for her and her sisters) Maglor and her other brothers of course having seen war with Morgoth arnt to eager for her to do so but it's hard to stop her once she gets an idea in her head.
Tellumian is likely sailing the skies with Earendil battling off monsters of the air who are trying to destroy the last vestige of light in the sky, if the sun and moon are gone.
So Feanor comes home to a war front, where his family is building and arguing and worrying about those who arnt with them and everything is chaos and then he walks thru the door, and everyone just sort of stares at him.
It's likely a big hot mess because not only have they all had time to rebuild their relationships, but he has almost no time now that he's taken so long to be reborn. His sons who all were broken so much have been made while again but they're such different people then the ones he knew. And his daughters, he barely got to know them the first time, and now they're grown and dont really remember him very much if at all--and of there's this pesky prophesy bit about him returning their light to rekindle the Trees and none do them are sure what that's going to do...
So yeah. Basic answer is "It's Complicated"

Hi! Are the Silmaril Babies hallowed in the Silm triplets ‘verse or do they burn for some other reason (like, if they don’t trust the person holding them or there is some bad blood between them, so only if they forgive that person will they be able to touch them - I was thinking of angst potential for Eabariel and Maglor).
So I'll be honest I completely forgot that bit about Varda hallowing them and thought the burning evil bit was something they did inherently 😅
I think that, to keep it closer to canon, that they probably are still hallowed, like, Feanor is going to have to present his wonder-children to the Valar at some point, no matter how grudgingly, because there is no way that word is not getting around to them about it. And while there is absouslty some murmuring about what exactly Feanor's done here amoung them, I feel like Varda, as Queen of the Valar, would probably be able to have a further sense of both how important the girls will be and want to give them something to protect them against the darkness she can see curling around them in their futures.
(I can't recall if Varda has foresight or not but it feels like she should)
So I feel like in this the hallowing would be more along the lines of all those destined babies who get blessed by their fairy godmother and what not, if that makes sense. And I think that Varda doing also helps to ease some of the tensions that rise up about Feanor creating life. Like, the tension isn't all gone, but a lot of people are willing to put it aside for the moment because if Varda blessed them then the Valar can't be too worried about it right?
(They are, but its more about Feanor then the girls themselves).
I think that the fact that the Silmarils are now people in this with minds and personalities of their own definitly affects the hallowing though. I think it still instinctively burns those who plot evil or have done numerous evil deeds, because yes I absolutely imagined the angst between Maglor and Eabariel with them being unable to directly touch eachother, but I think that as Eabariel slowly was able to overcome her own trauma (being trapped with Melkor for centuries, even in her dormant form, isn't going to do favors for anyone's mental/emotional health :/) that she'd eventually be able to control the effects of the hallowing and be able to touch Maglor again, as she loves and trusts him and can see that he's suffered just as much and is trying to atone for what he's done as best he can with what he has left in him.

Does anything canonically change about Celebrimbor in the Silm triplets AU? Because if Maglor and Eabariel are more active or smth (I really love Celebrimbor - particularly yours)
Hmmm, I think in the Close to Canon timeline of Silm Triplets AU that nothing much changes no, though I did have a vision of him getting inspired by his aunts and making the 3 Rings just straight up Ring Babies from the beginning in a tie in timeline though x)....(though that would have to be after a lot of coaxing/dropping hints from Annatar about making the rings that goes in a completely different direction thanks to Tyelpe's Fluffy Domestic I'm Married Now brain, cuz otherwise I think he's decide that making magic babies ended up as more trauma for everyone then it might be worth)
But in a timeline where Maglor and Eabariel are wandering around if Celebrimbor knew they were both alive then he'd 100 % track them down and have them come live with him because gosh darn it their family and if Eregion is about second chances then his family is getting one. (And of course Elrond would be over there like a shot if he knew).
I don't know if Sauron would be enticed at the idea of being near the last known silmaril--more for the chance to study her then for any desire to posses one he's seen what comes of that-- or if he'd decide if being near what could basically amount to a human lie detector wouldn t be worth the risk
(And thank you!!! I love him too😅)

How do you think the wandavision ring babies and the Silmarillion babies would get along?
I think they'd be a big pile of adorable fun. And in a happy universe where all the silmarils are together they'd be aunts to the ring babies and would absolutly spoil them (and Tyelpe, since he's their nephew too)

So how do the silmaril daughters age? In most of your drawings they're babies or toddlers but in the earendil one she looks older?
So I figure they age only when they’re in mortal form, at about a bit faster then normal elf rate. When they ‘re dormant in stone form they basically stay at the age they were when they went to sleep. All three are toddler age when Morgoth steals them and they go dormant, but Tellumaien wakes again when Beren and Luthien unwittingly rescue her, and starts to grow while she’s with them, so she’s physically older then both her sisters who stay locked in Morgoth’s crown. When they reunite after Dagor Dagorath the other two, Narewen and Eabariel, are still little girls while she’ll be a grown woman.

,,,,silmaril e&e and the yeetening.
So, with the way I’ve been picturing the Silmaril family bloodline going down I don’t think that Mae and Mags would really be able to yeet them? Since Elrond and Elros would have third generation silmaril genes, so they probably just glow a bit and maybe have a higher sensitivity to the presence of evil and stuff (which probably helps Elrond a ton when Annatar starts up), but they aren’t going to turn into easily throwable rocks and such. It’s a lot harder to toss a couple of teenage/young adult sized elves then a couple of silmarils.😅
That being said the two Original Silmarils (Eabariel and Narewen) still get taken from Morgoth’s crown in this AU and would still be in stone form, and I can see M and M still going after them under pressure from The Oath. (Actually since E and E do have silmaril genes in this I can see The Oath mixing with their own complicated feelings towards the twins and pushing them to take them as well, but it would be more along the lines of good old fashioned kidnapping— though I doubt the twins would struggle too much, and they’d probably be able to keep M and M from yeeting their Silmlings/tossing themselves into volcanos)

Hello! I suck at dropping into tumblr at convenient times, so usually only catch the tail-end of things.
Regarding your silm triplets, I love them and would die for them—what’s their story? And would you maybe be able to introduce them? I’m sure you already have a post somewhere, but I’m terrible at locating things haha
Hope you’re having a great day/night!!
Yeah no problem! So basically their story is “Everything is the same, except that Feanor made the Silmarils into little baby girls instead of just glowing stones”--though they do turn into glowy stones when they feel threatened, so they still get locked in Morgoth’s crown and such.
The three girls are:
Altafinwende/Narewen--Radience of Finwe/Woman of Flame: The silmaril that Maglor eventually jumps into the fiery chasm with
Mirefinwende/Eabariel-- Jewel of Finwe/Sea Traveling Daughter-- the silmaril that Maglor throws into the sea
Harmafinwende/Tellumaien-- Treasure of Finwe/Sky Friend-- the silmaril that is rescued by Beren and Luthien. She eventually reveals her elf form to them and they raise her as their daughter alongside Dior, and she ends up sailing the sky with Earendil as his companion.
There’s a lot of little details about them and some alternate fates that they could have, which you can find with the tag “Silm triplets AU”. Hope that this helps, and I’m so glad you like the girls!
(Also @mockingjay-468 has started writing an amazing fanfic based on this au called All Good Things Come in Threes...which I just tried to link and it won’t let me -_-...but it’s real good and it’s on AO3 and you should read it x)

Hi! I had a thought about the Silmaril babies: if they were ever un-silmaril, maybe they would take on a look similar to their fates. So, red hair for Narewen; silver hair for Tellumaien (like starlight); that sort of thing?
Oooh! Yeah I like that! And dark blue-black for the sea for Eabareil. Get all the Feanorian hair colors in there 👌

Hi! I was wondering as to how you saw the Silmaril Babies after they’ve all ended back up in Valinor?
Well I think it depends on the timeline. In a closest to canon timeline, where only Tellumaien is awake and sailing the skies with Earendil, by the time the other stones are found and reunited it would be all the way at Dagor Dagorath, and the other two sisters would still be toddlers as they've been likely locked in their stone form. (Maybe not Eabariel if Ulmo knows where she is).
In the timeline where they all manage to find people to wake them back up and help them stay secure enough to remain in their elf forms, they probably all reunite in Valinor by at least the end of the 3rd Age. I feel like Narewen probably stays around until after Dale is rebuilt after the War of the Ring. She was planning on staying around to watch all of her descendants grow up, but seeing so many of them die sooner then they should have in war hurt her deeply, and she decided to sail soon after. She probably goes on the same boat as Frodo and Elrond.
Eabariel probably tries for a long time to get Maglor to try sailing back, arguing that all the other Noldor have received a pardon and after all he's been thru and raising her surely he's done penance enough, he deserves to be able to return to his family, to see if their mother and any of their brothers have been reborn. Weither he ultimately comes along or not, I feel like she hears the Sea Call more and more as the magic of the world fades, and eventually does follow it. She is the Sea Traveler after all, and she was born of the elements of Valinor. She likely takes one of the very last boats to leave.
It's a strange and cautious reunion amoung the sisters at first. They haven't seen eachother since they were toddlers and they've all lived such different lives. But their souls are linked together as only magical semi-holy triplet souls can be, and they're incredibly happy to see eachother again. They were meant to be together after all.

Do you have an idea of what the Silmaril Babies would look like if they didn’t glow in their mortal form but took after their parents more in looks?
Ooh! Well, I did have the thought originally that Feanor made them to look somewhat like Miriel, so going off of that idea I feel like non-glowy forms they would have similar hair to her and Celegorm. I think they’d probably be on the shorter side of the family. Ummm, they probably do look more like Feanor then Nerdanel, since they’ve got a lot of his soul in him. I may have to think on this more and then do a picture of non-glowey triplets later!
