Remus Lupin whose sense of smell heightens around the full moon. You come to him and you’re stinking of Sirius. Obviously, he’s really jealous, especially around this time, and he’s clutching you to his side, rubbing his scent all over you, basically claiming his territory.

Remus Lupin was not in a good mood. He was antsy. With the full moon so close, everything put him on edge: His ears seemed to twitch at the smallest shift in the floorboards and his nose seemed to smell every person that passed his dormitory door on their way to and from the common room. It made his stomach churn, like a boat being tossed about on the sea. It made his head pound in a steady rhythm that made it hard to focus on anything else beside the tedious beat. It was followed by a tightness too; pressing harshly against his temples.
Remus thought he should be used to it by now. He had been dealing with the effects of the full moon for practically as long as he could remember, but he would never truly get used to it. Having you and Sirius by his side always helped though. Remus wouldn’t ever dare admit it out loud, he spent far too much time trying to convince the two of you that he was dangerous and not to be trusted, but you and Sirius calmed his nerves. You made the transformation just that bit more bearable.
He would forever remember the day that you revealed your animagus form to him. Remus could hardly find the words to express how he felt. Never before in his life had he had someone care for him the way that you and Sirius did. James too. He was scared at first,  Remus didn’t know how his friends were going to react when he told them about his lycanthropy. Almost certainly he had expected you to run and to never speak to him again. But that night you did the opposite and held him close. And Remus had never felt more loved and accepted. Now, of course he was cautious at first. Angry. Scared. But slowly the three of you had talked him into realising it was a good idea: He was coming home after each transformation with fewer injuries and seemed to be managing much easier with your help. Of course, seeing the scratches and cuts appear on his friends bodies each night made him grimace and try to convince you to stop. He was supposed to protect you and, instead, he was allowing you to get hurt. But you stayed. And Remus was impossibly grateful for that.
Remus groaned as another ache shot through his body, and he turned tugging the blanket closer to him. The moon made him feel the need to hold you close all of the time. He yearned for the smell of your shampoo and the coolness of your skin flush against his. When the moon made him get like this Remus often found himself missing class. All of the people just made his nerves sizzle. Unfortunately, your boyfriend's condition did not mean that you also got a free pass to skip class. Or Sirius for that matter. So, instead of having you close, Remus lay curled up in his bed as his bones ached, waiting antagonisingly for you to return.
When you finally pushed the door open quietly as to stop it creaking, you were clinging onto Sirius’ arm. You arm was looped between his and you leaned your head against the crook of his shoulder. The two of you had been like that all day, he could tell.
You and Sirius had had a busy day to say the least. Not only had potions class run over, but you also had homework that you needed to catch up on during your lunch break. Not that you actually got much done with Sirius around. Sirius was an observer. He could tell from the way you held your shoulders higher than usual and walked with heavier steps that you were stressed. So he did all he could to help you relax a little. Knowing that you were also worried about your boyfriend, he placed gentle kisses to your forehead whilst you worked, or stole them from your lips in the corridor. He wrapped an arm around you and pulled you to his chest to try and expel the tension from your body. Your boyfriend's efforts seemed to have helped because by the time the bell finally rang and the doors spilled open to reveal the flood of students, you were feeling much better. Especially because you could now fill the empty space that Remus’ absence had created.
“Rem?” Your voice was quiet and tender, near a whisper in case he was asleep, or was finding everything too loud.
He peeked his head out from under the blanket, his hair tousled from hours of restlessness. You smiled at him brightly. It was enough for him to return it, and lift his sour mood.
“Hey, Dove.” he greeted, shuffling out of bed to greet you. He couldn’t help but eye his boyfriend who stood with his hand placed tenderly on your lower back. Remus’ fingers twitched. “Good day?”
You hummed, slipping off your shoes and making your way over him to wrap him up in your embrace. You knew it had likely been a tough day for him. “Better now you’re here.”
As you took another step closer to him and away from Sirius the tender moment between the two of you was interrupted. At first, Remus had thought it was because he was standing right next to you. That his nose was getting confused, another side effect of the moon, but now you were standing right beside him across the room from your other partner, Remus knew that he was not mistaken. You stank entirely of Sirius: warm, musky, rich, honey-like and a little earthy. It was complemented by the faint smell of cigarette smoke and leather from his jacket. Normally, the boy would savour the smell of his partner, but you smelt so much like him that it completely drowned out everything about your scent. Something possessive inside him seemed to switch on.
Remus snatched you up immediately, pressing you so tight to his chest that you thought he was going to smother you. He couldn’t help the glare he sent to his boyfriend over the top of your head. Glowering, he pressed a kiss to your head as his fingers reached to fiddle with the hem of your jumper, trying to inch it upward.
You pulled away and frowned at him. Sirius also bore a similar expression. “Moony?”
“You smell of him.” It was a simple statement that came out almost as a growl in his voice.
“Who?”
Remus gestured to Sirius, who had moved to sit on the edge of his bed, with a nod of his head. When he spoke, his tone was filled with something Remus did not possess often. Jealousy.  “Sirius.”
Sirius furrowed his brows, before realisation crossed his face and he gave you a look. Remus was feeling left out. He had been feeling rotten all day and now he was being left with a constant reminder of how you and Sirius had been spending the day clinging onto each other instead of him. To make matters worse, the moon was making him possessive: he needed to state what was his.
“Take it off.” Remus’ voice was demanding, but you could hear the need hidden deep behind it. “Please.”
You nodded, your hands slipping over him as you helped him to remove your jumper. Remus tossed it to Sirius and pulled you back to him. Although the jumper was gone, which had helped a little, he could still smell his boyfriend all over you. Understanding this from the way Remus shifted antstily, being the loving boyfriend that he is, Sirius moved to Remus’ trunk to pull out one of his jumpers for you to wear. Before he could reach it however, Remus snapped.
“Don’t touch them.” Remus moved toward his trunk and took a sweater before a very startled Sirius could react. Siri nodded slowly, taking a step back and raising his hands in a surrendering gesture. When after seeing you slip it on, the boy released a breath he hadn’t even known he was holding. It was better, but his mind still screamed at him: mineminemine.
“You alright Moons?” Sirius asked hesitantly, unsure or not whether to approach or not. Remus was still holding you close to him, peppering you with kisses, though he seemed to be less tense now.
He hummed, twisting toward his boyfriend but still not letting you go. This time his expression held much less venom than it had before “Sorry…” He started “I don’t know what came over me.”
Sirius took his chance to move toward him. Instinctively, Moony turned you away, but instead of trying to move you as he thought Sirius would, his boyfriend placed an arm on his shoulder. “It’s alright Rem. I understand.”
Remus tucked your head beneath his chin as your hand wandered to his own to fiddle with the rings on his fingers. “Still. I guess I thought I could handle being alone today… but it was all just a bit much. And seeing her come in here smelling of you…”
“Shh” Siri hushed, smoothing Remus’ hair. “You want to lay down?”
Remus nodded. “Is that okay with you, Dove?” He asked.
“Of course.” You smiled. Taking Remus’ hand you moved over to the bed, shifting the covers out of the way so you could climb beneath them. Remus followed, tucking you close to his body once more, and then Sirius lay on the other side of Remus, resting his head on his shoulder.
Remus relaxed into the mattress as you ran lazy circles over the palm of the hand he was using to keep you in place. He pressed his lips to your head.
“I love you.” He murmured. “I’m so glad I can call you mine.”
“And we are glad to be yours.” Siri told him.
“Thank you for doing this. I’m sorry if I overreacted…”
“Never.” You said. “Anything for our Moony.”
Remus pulled you closer to him. You had a feeling you weren’t going to be moving anytime soon.

Hi! I'm wondering if you can write how Alcina would react if she found her dobbelgänger? Someone who looks Identical to her and it would probably be one of her maidens. People probably gossip about it too. I want to see Y/N's reaction to it too so like maybe they are together and they see a maiden pass by who looks exactly like Alcina. Lipstick and everything.
(I didn't see any other requests like this so I said why not request this one cause the idea is so interesting)

Being Lady Dimitrescu's personal maid is no easy job, especially since the responsibility of bringing her every wish and/or demand could become slightly complicated. There's only so much you can do with your short legs scurrying around in such a grand castle.
Despite being almost always busy, you do find some time to enjoy a cup or two of that sweet tea you love so much, and love it even more when you share it with your Lady.
Climbing up the stairs you somehow manage to balance a tray with the needed assortment of ceramics with a teapot full of very hot water on one hand and a quite heavy stack of important documents on the other. Your focus is split between not dropping the platter and reading the stack of papers in your hands trying to find the listing error in the first page (a job usually reserved for one of the daughters) and you find yourself so enthralled by the task that it's only when you reach the hallway that your focus is interrupted by an approaching figure.
Without raising your gaze from the documents, the corner of your eye catches a glimpse of a familiar face. A smile blossoms in your lips at the passing woman, but confusion settles in you. You're sure the Lady is in her study at this time of the day, but you pay it no mind, surely she has a reason to leave her sacred workspace.
Turning to the left, you ask for a miracle to help you open the door while your hands are occupied. Luckily, being crafty and resourceful was a requirement in the job description, and with a push of your elbow onto the doorknob you enter the Lady's office.
"Oh, there you are. I need those papers transcribed here."
The voice brings you to a halt as your brain catches on. Wait, didn't the Lady just pass by you at the hall? No, surely you're mistaken…
Quickly turning towards the hall, half of your body peeking out of the still open door, your eyes inspect the now empty hallway in search of an explanation.
Now that you recall it, the woman in the hallway was strangely at eye level, unlike your Lady, so perhaps she was only a maid you just didn't see correctly.
Well, it's been some stressful days lately, and you suppose your mind is tired.
Deciding to think nothing of it, you pour the Lady some tea and prepare yourself for the upcoming ache in your hands (the typewriter makes the job easier, but doesn't mean it's less tedious).
It's around late afternoon when you and The Lady find yourselves strolling through the halls in an attempt to dissipate the headache that the stress has caused on the Matriarch. It's also around that late afternoon that you stumble upon her…
A few moments pass by before you do a double take and your hand shoots towards your Lady's skirt in order to stop her from walking away.
Alcina isn't thrilled, and if it was any other maid she would have already have them paid for their transgression, but as it's almost a custom now, she only rolls her eyes and turns to see what has you so busy that you can't even speak to properly ask her to sto–
As soon as Alcina turns she sees the reason. She sees her.
An exact copy of the great Lady Dimitrescu is busy dusting one of the giant flower pots in the hall.
She is identical, in every way but the height and skin. How did you not notice her before? You're pretty sure you would have seen the close resemblance right away, unless… The daughters are always the ones in charge of 'welcoming' the new batches of maids that come in every month or so, and knowing them, they don't dwell in appearances unless they find one of the morsels to be especially interesting. Perhaps that's why such a sight slipped right by you.
You wouldn't believe it if the maid wasn't standing right in front of you.
She had the same high cheekbones and soft jaw as your Lady, that much is evident, but what catches your attention the most is her eyes. That unique and familiar gaze that brings you comfort and reassurance is present in the maid. She looks younger than the Lady for quite a few years, although you wouldn't be able to pinpoint exactly how many apart. Still, the resemblance is unique, more like a copy rather than an offspring. It seems impossible and yet…
You look to your left in a quick movement, ready to go back and forward only wanting to compare and see for yourself that your mind isn't playing tricks on you, but you stop as soon as you notice your Lady's face.
Alcina's expression is a shocked one, more than you've ever seen her bear before, but you notice something else within that stare. Her eyes become slightly teary, but despite your efforts you can't decipher what the meaning of the unshed tears is.
And of course, you can't possibly know the turmoil that brews inside her.
Right in front of Alcina stands the woman she once was, or more like the one she could have been. A version of her without her humanity stripped away, without the marks of betrayal and hurt, without the lines of experimentations and pain. In front of Alcina stands the woman she once saw in the mirror, like a cruel joke, in all her human fragility and ignorance. Almost as if the universe had one last way to mess with her and mock her.
Within Alcina aches the desire to touch, to feel, to have a close glimpse of what she was before, and yet the unspoken fear of the mirage before her disappearing keeps her hand grounded, and with it her body stays unmoving.
The Lady hears, among other drowning sounds, the judging whispers surrounding you three in the hall. Words from the maids that have huddled up at the corner, watching with harpy eyes the scene unfolding in their unwelcome presence.
For the first time in years, perhaps decades, Alcina Dimitrescu is at a loss of words. She would have never thought that an image of herself would make her feel so vulnerable, so threatened. And perhaps also for the first time, the powerful Matriarch feels…powerless.
Until your touch on her gloved hand brings her back from her stupor, that is, effectively stopping her from spiraling any further. Your hand, tiny in comparison to hers, is the anchor she needs right now.
Alcina turns to you, and what she finds in your eyes as you look up at her is nothing but pure adoration, as if you have already decided that she is perfect just as she is right now. Almost as if you've just chosen her out of the other more humane and better versions of herself in front of you and the ones to ever exist. The love and affection that had been so obvious to her before but you always put effort in keeping hidden is now shining through, unstopped and undimmed, and Alcina's unbeating heart for a moment feels full of life again.

With your hand now in her gentle grasp, she feels like she can breathe again, and with the newfound strength she dares to invite the maid for a chat over tea.
When the moon is already starting to show her presence above in the skies, after some surprisingly nice talk, something across the coffee table catches Alcina's attention.
Alcina only needs to see the mischievous grin on your lips once to feel another incoming headache. You've been her maid for five years already for goodness' sake, she already knows exactly what you're thinking…
…..
The Lady doesn't know how you managed to convince her to do this, but she's waiting with you hidden behind a stone pillar just after summoning her daughters 'urgently'.
It's not long before three buzzing swarms approach, but instead of her mother waiting they find a woman facing away from them sitting on their mother's usual chair.
Daniela confusedly sniffs the air, and she finds that her mom's perfume comes from the same direction as the woman, but she can also smell the blood pumping and a heart beating.
"Who are you?" The youngest asks with her hand already reaching for her sickle.
"Ah, my daughters! I didn't see you there, lovelies." The maid greets with a higher pitch voice, before turning to the girls. You have to give her some credit, it would be impossible for you to not laugh if you were in her place. "Come here my girls, mama has missed you."
"Mother!?" Bela and Cassandra ask in unison. Her eyes are wide and they're switching their gaze from the woman to each other.
Behind the pillar you watch the scene unfold, and your Lady's hand soon covers your mouth to prevent you from letting out a chuckle, although when you look up you can see an amused smile on her lips.
"What happened?" Daniela asks, gesturing wildly at the woman's body. "You look, good? Less tired maybe, a little tiny bit uh…less um… like this?" She raises her hand above her head and shakes her hand slightly.
"Holy Mother Miranda, is that really you Mama?" Cassandra asks, slowly approaching the maid.
Alcina lets out a silent chuckle and with a stealth you didn't know her capable of, sneaks behind Daniela, the closest daughter.
"She is most certainly not, darling."
Not unlike a cat, Daniela screams and jumps almost two meters before dissipating in a cloud of flies, before reforming next to Cassandra, her hand pleases over her chest, and if her heart could still beat it would be frantically hammering against her ribcage.
"Holy sh-"
"Daniela, language!" Bela nudges her sister with her shoulder.
Your laugh resonates in the room, and Alcina briefly looks at you, her eyes as soft as her smile, before returning to the girls.
"I can't believe they really fell for it." You walk towards the maid and put a relaxed hand on her shoulder. "Sorry we made you do this, let's go get some lemonade girl, you look a bit pale."
After you leave with the maid in tow, Alcina takes her rightful seat and pours herself a cup of wine.
"How come no one bothered to let me know of this guest? I should hope next time you do take time to greet every new maid properly, girls."
"We will, Mother." Bela says, taking a step forward from her sisters.
"I know you will." Alcina says gesturing away with her hand, and after her beloved daughters leave, she's left again to ponder about how just much she fucked up by accepting Miranda's gift…

Night Life
Tumblr media
Title: Night Life Pairing: Sara Lance x Reader Summary: Sara and Y/n run into each other on the streets, accidentally revealing both of their secret identities to the other. NR WC: 926
Sara had done a good job of staying out of Star City for nearly a decade. It had been easier whenever she still had Ava, but no good thing ever stayed in Sara Lance's life. She gave up time travel and vigilantism for a family, and she'd never regret that, even if it didn't work out. Sara had given it her best, but that kind of life wasn't right for her. She had gotten bored too easily, which was when the trouble started. Still, there were lines that Sara had never crossed. She was grateful for that bit of self-restraint that led to an easy divorce, even if it had ultimately put her back in Star City.
Technically, it was only for a weekend. It was a stop off on her new place, located about halfway between Central City and Star City. She was sick of listening to her parents trying to convince her to go to one place or the other. She didn't want to be that close to either of them, not if it meant the other would feel slighted for being left alone. Both of her parents had their own lives to worry about anyway. Her mother had a busy few months ahead of her wedding planning, and Quentin was working to repair his relationship with Felicity's mother, something that would never not absolutely shock Sara to think about.
It had nearly been a perfect weekend with her father until he got called into work. Sara had promised him to stay out of trouble, but that didn't mean she couldn't go on a patrol of her own. Quentin had tried to talk her into becoming a cop or working with the police wherever she ended up, but Sara didn't want that. She wanted to just let herself get used to being on her own for a little while. Ava had given her a couple of months to work things out before they finished drafting their custody agreement. Sara decided that this was truly her last little bout as the Canary, and she'd even torch the outfit to make sure of it.
"Hold it right there." Sara froze at the sound of a voice behind her. There was something familiar about the voice that excited Sara, even more than the click of the gun being cocked. Sara recognized the voice, even if she didn't know it yet. It had to be someone from her past, but Sara couldn't focus on it long enough to figure it out. "Turn around and face me."
"You know, if you'd ask nicely, you wouldn't need that gun," Sara said as she turned around. She kept her head down to try and conceal her identity, but the woman with the gun tilted it up. Sara expected the woman to say something, but instead, she just stared from underneath her hood. "What? Is something wrong?"
"Sara Lance, I'm pretty sure that I heard you died." The woman pulled the hood back and revealed her face to Sara. It was somewhat obscured by face paint that Sara recognized as an emerging gang in Star City, but behind that Sara knew the woman.
"Y/n, you're in a gang? I thought you were gonna be a cop," Sara said, unable to hide her shock.
"Turns out that inciting an investigation on Internal Affairs is a bit of a career killer, and those guys don't fuck around. They shot me, got me medically retired, and then I lost everything. It's a long and tedious story, but I've found my place. Now, I'd hate to have to kill you, but can you keep my secret?" Y/n casually waved the gun around as she spoke. Sara watched her closely and noticed that Y/n kept her fingers away from the trigger. "I'm not really hurting anybody who doesn't already deserve it."
"I was like you once, and this isn't the way." Sara knew that her words wouldn't change a thing, but she had to at least give it a shot. She had always known that Star City would eventually fall down the path it had before with crime and violence, despite Oliver's best intentions.
"It's not permanent, nobody's party phase ever is. Maybe when it's all said and done, we can work together. The city has been hurting since all its heroes went away. We could use a Canary again, but I'd change the color. Blood stains are a bitch to get out," Y/n said. Sara smiled to herself as she thought about coming back to this. She hadn't wanted to, but she knew that Y/n had to have a point. The city needed vigilantes. Star City at its most peaceful was still much more dangerous than most cities.
"We'll see. I told myself I was done a long time ago," Sara said. Y/n nodded as she clicked the safety on and holstered her weapons.
"Either way, I hope to see more of you Lance. Hopefully in a more official manner than when we were in school. How long are you in town for?" Y/n asked.
"I'm leaving tomorrow, but I'd definitely like to see you before I go. Meet me at the coffee shop on Harker Street tomorrow around 11?" Sara asked. Y/n nodded in agreement and placed a card in Sara's hand before she ran and baseball slid off of the rooftop. Sara shook her head as she glanced down at the card, which was a number for a private investigation service, most likely Y/n's.

Tell me all about LOST all I know is from Dane Cook
that is. such a funny sentence
aw shucks, its tempting, but i don't wanna give ya spoilers. and there are truly things in lost that must be experienced by your own flesh
...yes im aware of what my blog is like
so i guess i'll give a vague spoiler free overview
so. a group of plane crash survivors find themselves on a mysterious island and have to deal with the strange happenings + their weight of their individual traumas
the show is serialized and one ep more or less flows into another, so literally no ep can be skipped (no matter what anybody says) or else you'll miss something
its a large ensemble cast, ranging from the 13 to 20s range, all in all i think theres like 35 main characters
the show follows a flashback structure, each episode dedicated itself to a main plot on the island intercut with flashbacks to one character. we call these centric episodes. eg. this is a jack centric episode. sometimes an ep will have multiple characters have flashbacks in one ep. while this show didn't originate the concept of a large cast or flashback storytelling, it did popularize it in the early 2000s. so a lot of post 2004 shows wanted to be lost so bad and it shows
at first lost was a survival show but they gloss over this very quickly and its more about the weird shit going on. as time goes on, plots and mysteries stack up. this is to create intrigue, as the shows main focus is an endless parade of character studies. with the added bonus of some cool and twisty shit going on too
but because lost had so much plot, over time it got accused of being confusing and convoluted and Not Answering Questions and well. your mileage may vary. but i think its confusing if you watch it too slowly. like, it aired over a 6 year period, no wonder people got confused. its better to watch nowadays, way easier to handle
the genre of lost is: drama mystery action paranormal sci fi romance with a dash of comedy. lost is full of the saddest fucks you'll ever meet but the show contains enough levity and great colouring to make it not a huge misery fest
pretty decent racial diversity. next to no LGBT rep. more women than the average tv show. then and now
the score FUCKS
not a single bad actor in this entire show, the performances on display are fucking outstanding. and every emotion is like up to 11, which is great for my autistic brain
for those of you who find sex scenes to be tedious, i have a bit of trivia for ya: all sex in LOST happens off screen. not a single sex scene to be found. pre sex, yes, post sex, yes. making out, yes. but sex itself? footage not found. i'm neutral on the concept, i just thought that was something to point out
i highly recommend lost to, like, anybody. ever. its a masterpiece of television. even the low points are better than most shows. sometimes i take lost for granted and then i watch any other drama series and im like "oh right, lost is incredibly good"
its my third favourite show. and thats only cuz star trek and doctor who exist, and nobody is beating those fuckers
anyways do you like to see beautiful people cry and scream but it isn't cringe?* well, i've got a show for you! *okay there is some cringe. as a treat. the leading man of this show has the social grace of a cold pancake (affectionate)
thank you for your time

Barbatos vs Karasu and/or Azra
Tumblr media
a/n: oh yes, let's compare the best boys! keeping these sfw, if you had something else in mind you'll have to let me know. lol
barbatos vs. karasu vs. azra | headcanons
0.4k works | gn!reader | sfw | devildom life + romance
Tumblr media
vs. karasu
they're both dedicated 100% to their work which can be good or bad
they're both perfectionists and have a keen eye for detail
neither of them have a high tolerance for foolish behaviour
Barbatos is more social and tolerates social situations better than Karasu does
similar to most demons, Barbatos will tell you he doesn't know much about Karasu
and it's not a lie, there's just not much to know about him: he works long hours and lives a solitary life when he's not at his office
Karasu is surprisingly docile for a demon, which lowkey puts Barbatos on edge—what would cause him to snap? every demon has their limit or breaking point, but Barbatos can't even guess what Karasu's trigger might be
they would both be attentive lovers and take their courtship seriously
their dates are planned out in advance and their gifts are thoughtful without being too frivolous
Barbatos' responsibilities and time would be split between you and his duties to Lord Diavolo
in comparison, Karasu's dedication to his work is easier to manage and he will strive for a better work/life balance to be able to focus more time and energy on his relationship
Tumblr media
vs. azra
Barbatos gives credit to Azra's tenacity and doesn't shrug him off as a sketchy club owner like many other demon lords do
Azra's knowledge and working relationships with some of the Devildom's seedy businesses is pretty useful
but he's still a business man, so if Barbatos goes to him for information or requests his assistance, it's gonna cost him
Azra's not respected for his work, but his businesses and connections to the Devildom's elite class mean that he's well-known and relatively popular with the general public
their temperaments aren't the same at all: Azra won't hide or disguise his displeasure about something, and his insults are equal parts creative and offensive
Barbatos thinks Azra can be a little flashy and attention-seeking: he follows the latest fashion trends and his attire and aura just screams wealth and power
Barbatos is more confident whereas Azra hides a lot of his self-doubt and anxiety behind his public persona which can make him appear rude, impatient or unapproachable at times
compared to Barbatos' dedication to serving Diavolo, Azra's work/life balance is a bit easier to manage; his main business functions during nighttime hours which could be tedious for prospective partners
they both have trust issues but Barbatos is more resilient; Azra will fall faster and harder if he sets his eye on someone
Azra doesn't have anyone else in his life to complete against for his time or dedication, he's just inexperienced romantically and comes with a lot of baggage

Hi !
I just saw your post about how you regret starting the censored version first and honestly, same
When this happened to me I focused A LOT on the Erolabs version to a point where I left the other version unattended, and in like a month or two I was able to catch up with the progress that I had on my other account.
At first I thought that catching up was too much, but it isn’t, it’s waaaay easier.
For cards I relied a lot on the pancakes, they are lifesavers for gaining both keys and Solomon tears, and another thing that helps a lot is the affinity rewards and the mission pass.
For the pancakes you just have to constantly save them and at the beginning prioritize buying lesser keys and using them, and by that you’re going to get to a point where you’re going to recover the inversion.
Saving up gems also helps for replenishing energy so you can skip a lot of battles, and if necessary, to buy lesser keys.
It’s a bit tedious at the beginning, but believe me, leveling up in the game it’s faster that it seems, for example, in my App Store account I was at lv 28, and when I began to focus on my Erolabs account I was at lv 7 and it’s been 2 months and I’m at lv 36 in that same account.
When I finally catched up with my old progress I uninstalled the censored version, and if you want to do the same make sure you link your account or save your progress so you won’t permanently lose Bath Levi and Gabriel !
Hope this helped ! I know it’s frustrating but if you need motivation to start doing this, remember that’s there’s THAT Lucifer card coming sometime this year and we’re only getting it in Erolabs.
Love your blog and hope you have a beautiful day. ♡
Ahhh hi pinkgy ^^ thank you for the tips, I will try my best to make this transition to Erolabs a lot easier on myself because man oh man is it taking a lot on me to manage both of them at one time. I wonder if I just should clear out my entire materials and resources on the appstore version once Luci releases because I have so many damn red keys and I know they won't have any uncensored stuff for the selfie cards (unless they do for Lucifer only) also, have a beautiful evening and week <3

Since Sonic Frontiers' character arcs focus on change, it made me realize that Sonic's still the same for the most part. (And Eggman by extension)
Of course they both have a better understanding of the people they surround themselves with, but they're still sticking to the routine they've always had. Eggman's still trying to take over the world. Sonic's always there to stop him. It's just now, Eggman has a new ally, and Sonic's friends are finding their own paths. I'm gonna talk about how (almost) everyone's changing and how I think they'll go about it! Honestly spoilers maybe for the end of Frontiers.
Amy wants to travel the world to share her love with everyone. (? I didn't fully understand what she wants to do. If someone could elaborate on this it'd help a lot)
Knuckles wants a break from protecting the Master Emerald.
And Tails wants to finally step out of Sonic's shadow.
Since I don't understand Amy's development I won't talk about her...
For Knuckles, this might be a pretty obscure idea but. I think breaking the Master Emerald again is the best way to get that long-deserved break. He could entrust these shards with his friends, and a few for himself. Not going to say who would be trusted with this specifically cuz that's the fun part.
It would minimize how much he actually has to watch over while still (sort of) keeping him on the job. He's just found a smart way to go about it, is all. Since I imagine that in shard form, they basically serve no purpose. A world-wide scavenger hunt that would be too tedious.
Now I know that Angel Island would basically plummet back into the ocean without the Master Emerald, so it'd take a SERIOUS amount of planning. Tails could definitely help out with this to make sure it all goes without a hitch. If Knuckles is worried about where they are, just a visit to his friends could remove those concerns. I think it'd strengthen the bond of whoever he trusts since he doesn't audibly say how much he cares about those that are close to him. Anyways, I have no clue what Knuckles would actually do now that he has a bit more free will. Other than see the world of course.
For Tails, once Angel Island is back on the sea, I think he'll try to invent things for the public, seeing as how their technology is extremely limited after the events of Frontiers & Forces. Maybe try to replicate something similar to what the ancients had going on, but with a far more practical purpose. Making easier ways for everyone to get around and protect themselves. Would definitely be a big hand in larger projects and a guest speaker at like engineering classes. He'd be a hero in his own way. I don't know how long he'd be doing this, since he said he wants to be unrecognizable when he and Sonic meet again.
Considering he's like. A tween? (11?? 12??) It could be a couple of years. I REALLY doubt we'll actually see this in canon but. Tails is more than likely to be 15 or older when they meet again.
Tails and Eggman might end up being rivals in whose inventions are used in more practical situations, but Tails is far more public about what's in his creations unlike Eggman. It's just the fact that people don't understand Tails' mind.
For Sonic, I actually don't know what his next steps would be outside of the endless loop that is stopping Eggmans plans. Not having his friends around as much (close to never) anymore would definitely be a solitude that hurts. But he wants to respect the choices they've made, so almost all of the encounters/run-ins he might get with them are up to chance. Maybe he'll see Tails on TV on a brief run, being interviewed on his inventions. He wouldn't want to look or listen too hard, or the surprise would be ruined. Maybe Knuckles got lost, and when Sonic tries to help out, now they're both lost because of how much the cities have changed. Would add something for Amy, but again, I don't fully understand her arc!
Being alone without his friends would definitely remind him of his childhood. He'd start reminiscing, making him awfully bittersweet about it all. It's selfish to think this way, he knows this. But when was the last time he'd been alone for so long? After all of that talk about how he'd handle himself just fine, the silence has never been louder. He'd definitely struggle to interact with people after a certain point, especially his friends. All of the change is draining, with Eggman and possibly some other things/people being his only remaining constants that he's unintentionally clinging onto.
Anyways again, if anyone understood Amy's arc PLEASE tell me. I genuinely want to understand her development in Frontiers so bad.

Hi! I saw your post abt crochet and I was wondering how you got into it or if you had any tips? I got a beginners kit to start with but I’m still struggling 😭
Hi! I got into crochet by practicing stitches first before stepping into any project. Honestly made working on things so much easier because you already know the stitches and you can focus on other things, such as counting the number of stitches you need in the row and following the pattern for example. It's honestly a bit tedious and boring at first but it is definitely worth it! (plus you can always unravel it if you want to use the yarn for something else)
I recommend just grabbing a worsted weight yarn (or size 4 yarn) grabbing a hook (my personal preferences are 4.5 or 4mm) and just start learning the basics first and not working on whatever the kit asks you to yet! (these are also just recommended sizes since I personally think it's not too thin or thick that it'd be hell to see the holes you need to put your hook into and crochet. Also a tip is to use light colored yarn, it helps you see where the holes are much easily). YouTube videos are a good place to learn the different stitches! You just need to type in the stitch name and there should be many videos on it haha
I recommend just learning the basics first like making a slip knot to chaining (ch), single crochets (sc), double crochet (dc), half double crochet (hdc), triple crochet (tc) and slip stitch (st)! It'll take a while to get a hang of it, especially how you hold your hook or how to grab the yarn so your tension is consistent (aka making sure that one stitch isn't looser than the other).
I found that doing this before I work on anything really helped me when I am following patterns later, especially since a lot of patterns involves mostly the repetition of specific stitches. For example, most plushies are made only using single crochets and well knowing how to make a circle (which is actually pretty hard, be patient it will work eventually :')). And so, once you're familiar with the stitches it will help a ton!
I really hope that helps!! And good luck <33

what tips do you have for organizing things and taking control over your life? 🤍
Organizing ur life can be a rly tedious process which is why it’s so important to divide ur priorities & start small !!
If ur rly serious abt it then u can follow this little guide ♡ start with deep cleaning ur home or room.
- go through all of ur clothes, make sure u 100% love everything u have, get rid of the rest (donation, reselling, gifting, etc) do this process w any junk drawers or bins u may have as well
- rearrange ur furniture to make the space feel bigger & fresh. Make sure u are spraying & wiping everything down as u go along
- sweep, mop, vacuum floors
- neatly place & position ur decor + any other items u want on display (on my dresser for example i keep an AD book with venus et fleur roses on top, aphrodite statue, heart shaped bowl with crystals, jewelry box, candle, decorative bunnies, etc)
- if u dont already have organizational bins/shelves, invest in those !! I have them for my books, vinyls, shoes, movies, makeup, undergarments, plushies, cat things, school supplies, etc
If u have a job or are in school, its also extremely important to have these things organized !!
- i use an accordion binder/folder for all of my school work, this has made my life smmmm easier
- tabs/labes/sticky notes are super useful, u can use them to label each folder in ur accordion binder like i do as well, or even for things as simple as annotations
- keep a daily planner & be consistent w it !!
- purchase items which match ur aesthetic, it makes everything a little less dreadful lol
To go along with all of this, lastly, it’s soo important to set routines. Having structure in ur life is the biggest stress reliever of all :]
- stay consistent with ur sleep schedule, use soft sounding alarms instead of the aggressive iphone alarm to help ease the anxiety of waking up or doing things
- start ur morning off on the right foot by making ur bed. If anything happens, at the very least u accomplished something
- use ur planner to see what u have to do for the day & make any plans for the following day
- hygiene shld be ur main focus each morning & night, so figure out what this routine will consist of (skincare, showers, which perfumes u will use, dental care, etc)
- if u have a tight schedule, plan ur outfits the night before to save some time
- create an exercise routine, it dsnt have to be too complicated
I hope this helps !! I spent a bit more time on this one thn i usually do bc i think this is rly important & will also be something i can look back on in the future if i need to help myself out a bit 🙈

Rebranded - 9.2(Extra) - Returning Home
We officially meet our future love interest(spoiler :p) This is just her perspective of the events from the previous part.
Word Count: 1,257
A tired sigh escaped the woman as she made her way to the entrance of her home. Balancing the groceries on one arm, she inserted the key into the lock to let herself in.
A loud click signaled to her that she was free to enter her home. As such she pushed the door open, flipped on the lights, then made her way inside.
After having been away for so long, it was nice to be home.
What made her return even nicer, was the fact that her home was clean.
She had been gone for a long, long time. Making arrangements for a housekeeper to visit her home had been tedious.
Admittedly their behavior had made her think that no one would be sent out to maintain the home. So finding the house in such a clean state came as a pleasant surprise.
While the air inside was a bit stagnant and musty, it was nothing that a few cracked windows wouldn’t fix.
That could wait, though. A bit of stagnant air wouldn’t kill her.
For now, her focus was on dealing with her last few errands so that she could go to bed.
It had been a long day. A long day mostly full of driving while suffering from the jet lag of her recent plane ride.
Next on the agenda; getting the groceries put away. That and making sure that the essential people knew that she had made it home safely.
She knew how to kill two birds with one stone. So she pulled her phone from her pocket and placed it upon the countertop beside her groceries. A few taps on the screen and the desired party was being called. She went about her business as she waited for the person on the other end to pick up.
“”Did you make it back okay?“” The faintly distorted voice of the man on the other side of the line sounded off abruptly, making it clear that they had finally managed to answer their phone.
“I made it back alive. That count?” The woman replied in turn, unpacking her groceries from the plastic bags she had brought them home in.
“”Ayala I’m getting some weird static on my end. Everything alright?“” The man inquired, a clear note of concern evident in his voice. The woman reacted to this by offering a tired laugh.
She stopped messing with her groceries in order to make it easier for him to hear her.
“Just putting away some groceries, Logan. Everything’s fine.” Ayala explained, taking a moment to lean her arms against her counter so that she could try to rub the sleepiness out of her eyes.
“”Groceries. Yes. Good. Yaa-aaaa - alright, real quick - real talk. You feeling alright? Any jet lag? Is the house okay? Did they ever send that housekeeper out to make sure the place was clean?“” Logan inquired, shooting off a whole mess of questions in quick succession as they popped into his mind. The rapid fire questioning only proved to coax an additional tired laugh from the woman, who allowed herself a moment to lay her chest down upon the counter.
“Logan, I’m fine. Just some standard jet lag, so y’know. I am a little tired. But the house is fine. Inside is pretty clean, so it looks like they sent that housekeeper. Would’ve been nice for them to get back to me about it, though. I really thought I was about to come inside and a family of dust bunnies gettin’ busy.” Ayala responded, cracking something of a joke towards the end. Her joke thankfully didn’t fall on deaf ears, given the slight chuckle that sounded over the line.
“”Yeah, well, that’s good at least - but hey, I’m gonna have to let you go. It's a quarter to midnight and a certain someone might have a cow if they catch me on the line with you. I’ll call you sometime tomorrow.“” Logan stated, quickly establishing that he needed to get off the phone before his spouse caught him on the line. Having been informed that his friend had indeed made it home safe, he would finally be able to sleep.
“Yeah, yeah. Don’t let them bully you too much now. Goodnight~” Ayala mused, teasing her friend just a bit before pressing that magic button to end the call. With that task done, she resumed putting away the groceries.
She hadn’t bought much. A gallon of milk, some meat, and some vegetables. She had just made a quick stop at a small shop along the way to make sure she’d have something in her house to eat for breakfast. After having spent so long on the road, there was absolutely no rush in getting back in the car first thing in the morning. So she’d made sure to grab enough to give her the chance to decompress at home.
Once that was over and done with, the last task of the night was to go ahead and let a bit of fresh air in. The musty air had admittedly started to get to her. For as clean as the house looked, it certainly smelt as if it hadn't had a proper clean in months.
First she cracked open the small window in the kitchen. She had to use a key to do so. The mechanical locks all needed to be manually unlocked.
With the kitchen window open, she proceeded to make her way towards the living room.
Given that trying to find a key hole in the dark was all but impossible, she naturally turned on the light. Then something peculiar caught the corner of her eye. Just as she flipped the switch she spotted it.
Slight movement caught her attention.
She turned, expecting to spot a bug or maybe even a rat scurrying up the wall. But that was not what she encountered.
Admittedly, she struggled to process exactly what it was.
At first she thought it was some sort of statue. Not that a statue would have any reason to be in her house.
Then came the terrifying realization of what she was looking at.
Not a statue, but a machine. A machine that had no business being in her home. The urge to scream rose in her throat as she locked eyes with the animatronic.
Then came the pain.
She found herself laying face down upon the cold, unforgiving wood of her Livingroom floor.
An intense pain resonated from her arm.
From her chest.
At first she thought that she’d only been winded. Knocked down by the sudden movement of the machine as it reacted to her presence. Then she became acutely aware of the fact that she could not breathe.
There was an intense pressure on her chest.
She had not fallen. Something unseen was holding her down. She panicked, rightfully so, but there was nothing she could do. Whatever it was that had restrained her, it held firm.
She could not move.
Her heart rate increased as her vision became spotty.
She could see the unknown machine moving beside her. She could hear it speaking, but in her panic she could not focus on the words.
The voice changed. Her ability to hear became distorted by the lack of air.
For a moment, she thought there might be two voices.
But it was so hard to focus on anything beyond the urge to breathe.
The pain in her arm quickly became a figment of her own imagination as the suffocating feeling overwhelmed her.
Building and building.
Agonizing.
Then.
Nothing.

(i have started playing on a diff server bc i want to focus moar on the lore, and it's much easier to give the story its due attention when most of my time is no longer spent fighting for dear life in every combat bc my characters' build was based on vibes and vibes only (´-ω-`)). have a nice day!!
i can just see him running up to his s/o the next day w a very tired but proud smile and an invitation to go grab some drinks… 🥺 im gonna make myself cry… what i mean to say is, i wish i had a kaveh who completed my essays for me but no. the world said im too powerful and i should remain single to balance the books. (but yes. fuck presentations and finding related literature, i say as i finish both essays in a day out of spite)
honestly, i might be a bit biased bc hehehehehe my bbyboy alhaitham BUT! i was genuinely floored by the entirety of the sumeru archon quest. i was literally on the edge of my seat in every moment and i just adore the roles and characters of each member of the cast. when nahida said “the first sage of buer” bro… i was tearing up and having chills…
i’ve always been very particular abt the story bc its primarily why i kept playing genshin but at the same time, i also only pull for characters that i vibe with. fortunately, i have this condition where i perceive religiously farming for good artifacts as equal to feeding them well and… haha… i love my boys okay 🥲 i have an na account but one look at my 100% map in asia and im logging out and saying “nope… not today… no more anemoculi for me”

Week 4: The Research Question
Tumblr media
Trying to figure out my research question is a very tedious process. I feel as if I could continue to write endless questions and never come to the one that I want to answer. This is admittedly quite frustrating, so I have taken a different approach.
Developing the question, as stated before isn't an easy process. Although on the surface it seems quite straight forward:
Pick a topic.
Narrow the topic.
Ask some questions.
Pick a question. (Easier said than done).
Focus the question / Who, what, when, where.
youtube
My process went like this:
Pick a topic - Cinema + Mother Daughter relationship
Narrow the topic - How cinema can shed light on the Mother/daughter relationship.
Ask some questions - How do the media represent mother daughter relationships? How can cinema be used to effectively communicate the nature of a mother/ daughter relationship? Can cinema create a universal experience of the relationship? Can cinema create a solid foundation on which to build a free flowing thought bubble on said relationship? Can cinema be an effective tool in the self discovery of the mother/daughter relationship? (This is where the questions started becoming a little better). Can cinematic practise be an effective tool to research the foundations of the relationship between mother and daughter? Can cinematic practise be a tool in which to uncover the layers of a relationship between mother and daughter? Is the mother/daughter relationship a viable subject in which to research through cinematic practise? (Started going off track here). Is it ethical to have the goal of changing people's perspectives on their own relationships through cinematic practise? (Lost myself here, decided to stop).
Pick a question - After realising I had to backtrack, I also realised that I had lost the goal. I started then thinking, "What do I want my audience to feel like after walking out of my film?", this question allowed me to narrow down my initial goal, which led me to pick this question (slightly reworded): "Can cinematic practise be a tool in which to explore the layers of a relationship between mother and daughter?"
Focus the question - My decided question was slightly too vague. After some deliberation on the who/what/when/where, I landed on: "How can short form cinematic practise be a tool in which to analyse the layers of an ever evolving relationship between mother and daughter in modern Australia?" I say short form in the context of short films.
Although I seem to have come to a final question, I can't help but feel that it isn't entirely finished, and that my research will bring out other questions that I didn't know I had. I think the difficulty in cultivating a question within artistic research has a lot to do with this. Although I seem to know what I want my answer to be, this doesn't necessarily mean that there is only one question. It's tempting to try fit multiple questions into one, which could then either create very fragmented research that doesn't connect, or uncover a new area of research. I am more inclined to lean toward the first option.
One quote from the Magnus Andersson reading from this week stood out to me and gave me a bit of insight into my own creative practice research:
"The artist's research process must be informed by her knowledge as a practitioner." (Andersson, 2011)
Sound's pretty obvious, but in fact it has subconsciously given me permission to not have a full formed question in place, that my making of the project is going to inform my knowledge along the way, instead of already having an answer and trying to make my project fit around said answer.

4 Things That Make Working In The Kitchen More Pleasant
The kitchen is one of the most frequently visited rooms in a home, yet it can sometimes be overwhelming and less than pleasant to work in. Whether you are whipping up gourmet meals or simply preparing a quick weeknight dinner, some things will make cooking easier and more enjoyable for everyone involved. Knowing what these four essential items are can help create peace of mind so you can focus on making delicious (and healthy!) food with ease. Read on to discover how the right tools, storage solutions, organizational strategies, and accessories will make working in the kitchen a much more pleasurable experience!
Make Sure Your Faucet Works Correctly
A functional faucet is an essential part of any home. Whether you're washing dishes, cooking, or just need a quick drink, a properly functioning faucet can make all the difference. Unfortunately, faucets can also be a source of frustration if they're not working correctly. If the kitchen faucet flow rate is too low or too high, it can make tasks like washing dishes and filling pots tedious and time-consuming. So, if you want to avoid the hassle and stress, it's important to take steps to make sure your faucet is working correctly. With a little bit of maintenance and some simple troubleshooting, you can keep your faucet running smoothly for years to come.
Invest in a Quality Set of Knives and Cutting Boards
Investing in a quality set of knives and cutting boards can significantly improve your food preparation game. Whether you're a seasoned chef or an aspiring home cook, having the right tools makes all the difference in the kitchen. Dull and flimsy knives can make chopping and slicing an arduous and frustrating task, while poorly made cutting boards can damage your blades and cause cross-contamination. By choosing high-quality knives and cutting boards, you'll not only make cooking easier and more efficient, but you'll also produce better-looking and tastier dishes. Plus, good knives and cutting boards can last a lifetime, so it's worth the investment.
Choose a Workspace that is Ergonomically Designed
In today's fast-paced world, people spend countless hours sitting at their desks, typing away on their computers. While this may seem like a mundane task, it can cause a lot of strain on your body, leading to various health issues. That's why it's important to choose a workspace that is ergonomically designed for your comfort and safety. By doing so, you can prevent common issues like back pain, eye strain, and carpal tunnel syndrome. Consider investing in an adjustable chair and desk, a monitor arm, and a keyboard and mouse that fit your hands comfortably. In the long run, these small changes can make a big difference in your overall health and productivity.
Buy Energy-Efficient and Convenient Kitchen Appliances
Any homeowner would be wise to spend money on simple, energy-efficient kitchen appliances. These appliances not only make cooking and cleaning simpler, but they can also save energy costs. By choosing appliances that are Energy Star certified, you can be sure that they meet strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the U.S. government. And with the convenience of features like self-cleaning ovens and Wi-Fi-enabled refrigerators, you'll wonder how you ever managed without them.
With these simple changes, you'll soon have a kitchen that not only looks appealing but is also highly functional and efficient. Make sure to implement them and enjoy your cooking experience like never before!

I think part of the problem is that Gen 7 difficulty is the only avenue left for single battles. What else can you do but massively pump up the stats of an opponent and give them massive coverage? Defensive play doesn’t work. The only way it can is having a massive level difference, like they had for Red and Steven type fights, but they don’t really do those anymore because as a kid the solution is level grinding and it sucks.
But when you make a fight like Ultra Necrozma, where the focus is massive stats, overleveled, doubling stats, and hits everything stupid hard with near perfect supereffective coverage…like, they know this isn’t a Final Fantasy game, right? Heal loops only work because you eventually can get out of them. That doesn’t happen in Pokemon. You get one action and it’s revive, trading one life for another endlessly. It’s an awful experience. And because of crits ignoring all defense buffs, you can’t even try to boost defenses and keep one threat in the game because one crit kills now. There’s no good response on the player’s end but to be faster and KO first and that sucks, because if they succeed it’s too easy, but if they fail the only solution is tedious. I legitimately think that the system as it exists cannot work for what people want.
Oddly, I think ScaVi came close to a breakthrough with the whole “past moves won’t transfer through Home” idea. It sucks, but it also can limit player tools and act as a hard reset. Now you can fine tune the game a bit. But they didn’t. Instead of limiting offensive coverage so you actually need a team of six again, they kept the massive offensive angle while removing a metric ton of defensive and support-focused skills. Because they don’t want you to do anything but hit each other with rocks. Which is the best way to make a game too easy, because all you need is stats, and guess what’s easier to do than ever.
I’d still hate anything BDSP aligned. I think perfect competitive stats is too far, especially in a series that has never once explained how EVs work. There’s a middle ground here. But I also think that middle ground has to remove the idea of the baseline experience ever being challenging again, or requires a lot of removing offensive coverage.

Week 11
This week’s focus in class was mainly about producing the project document. During class the importance of a grid system was really stressed on us - about how it is really obvious when one is used and one isn’t and the various ways we might go about setting one up and displaying the appropriate information on our pages. I knew that I really wanted to focus on setting a grid and ensuring that aesthetically my document matched the look and feel of my campaign. I decided to set up a 6x6 grid of rows and columns on my master page - which is a feature I hadn’t really understood before this project which I found to be definitley really insightful and makes my job when creating a document a lot easier as I am able to place elements consistently throughout the whole document. Another feature that I hadn’t taken advantage of before and was introduced to us in regards to our project document was the Paragraph Styles feature from InDesign. Essentially, it allows for you to set up a style of copy that you are able to select and attach to any paragraph - instantly transforming it into the desired style of type. This became really useful to me as when creating my project document I set up a body copy paragraph style and a heading paragraph style which allowed me to ensure my paragraphs were all formatted the same way as well as ensuring that if I wanted to change anything in the future i.e colour of the type, size, weight, etc I would be able to instantly and not have to go through each page individually. Furthermore, I was also introduced to the baseline grids feature during this project which I had never heard of before our Monday lesson. I really found it quite interesting and while setting one up properly can be a bit of a tedious task - I found that in the end I really liked how my paragraphs looked in the end, feeling as though the end result came across a lot more clear and a lot more tidy as all of the type was aligned. I was able to make significant progress on my project document this week alongside producing some other collateral which hopefully sets me up in a good place for our final submission next week. One thing I am a little nervous about when it comes to my project document is the pt size of the headings as I have been told before that I tend to make them too big, however, I really feel as though they are quite effective and match the tone and visual language of my campaign quite significantly that I want to take the chance and follow through with my original design.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When thinking about what I wanted my final collateral camapign outcomes to be, I knew that considering our campaign had to target a Gen-Z audience that social media was going to definitely be an important aspect to my campaign’s creative direction. I decided to create a series of six Instagram posts to serve as a visualiser of what the type of content posted onto the campaign’s social media platform might look like. I wanted these posts to have the same look and feel as my posters, but be able to host a variety of different pieces of content including recipes, tips, as well as improtant information and statistics. These designs were intended to be eye catching and perform well on social media - with a clear and distinct aim to be shareable. One of the main ways social media posts are able to go viral and gain a lot of impressions is through the reposting to story feature Instagram introduced, where users are able to send a post onto their profile for 24 hours and share it to all of their active followers. A popular ‘trend’ recently within the social justice communities online has been the sharing of infographics relating to a variety of different issues, all of which have a similar look and feel as well as a similar format. By placing my campaign within this group, while still ensuring that I am making my account visually different and standing out from the other campaigns already created, I hope to earn followers and reach users through this effect as well as through our posters and other advertisement methods. Below are examples of other campaign infographics as well as the social media posts I’ve created, paired with a mockup of what this might look like within the app.

I also had to do a lot of thinking about another way I might introduce my campaign through perhaps a tactile or environmental means. I was brainstorming ideas and thought about how producing a tote bag to be sold within supermarkets at checkout in order to reduce waste as well as target consumers at the source, within the grocery store, about their meat consumption. I remembered hearing about this organisation called Boomerang Bags a while ago and wanted to do some more research about them as I thought it might be an interesting avenue to explore. Boomerang Bags was originally based in Australia but now has chapters all around the world. It’s founders Jordyn De Boer and Tania Potts wanted to create a solution to single use plastic bags, a widespread issue that was mainly evident within supermarkets. They created an organisation where community groups would come together and sew reusable fabric bags in order to start a conversation about sustainability and to spread awareness about the harm of plastic on our environment and on the various ecosystems affected. These sewn bags would be given to supermarkets and stores as well as friends and family with the message being to keep these bags in circulation around the community (encouraged to bring back to the supermarket after use) - to keep the conversation going and to highlight the idea of reusing and reducing before consuming single use. While plastic bags as an issue within supermarkets has been somewhat resolved with the banning of them at checkouts in recenet years in New Zealand, I feel as though this message is still quite powerful and that the idea of encouraging people to reuse their bags and belongings is quite essential to reducing our waste that ends up in landfill. I found this TED talk by founder Jordyn De Boer quite interesting as she discusses the origins of the organisation as well as the premise and how it ended up becoming such a widespread community around the world.

I propose a collaboration between my campaign, Meat Free Me, and the non-profit organisation Boomerang Bags. This collaboration would see designs from my campaign printed or sewn onto bags circulated around the community, with messages about the benefits of switching to a plant-based diet as well as information about harm the meat industry is creating on the environment. This would enable the two campaigns to be able to touch on two environmental issues through the tote bags created. Seeing one of the bag designs, which specifically target a Gen-Z audience, might encourage individuals to stop and think about what they are purchasing or provide some new information about the damage the meat industry is doing to the environment they might not have known before. I feel as though these bags would serve as quite a popular piece of collateral as tote bags are quite trendy and popular within Gen-Z, particularly as fashion accessories. The colourful designs and illustrations might encourage the audience to reuse these bags not only as a means to take their groceries home, but also throughout their life; i.e on their way to university, to work, as beach bags, etc. This would make for some good opportunities in spreading awareness about my campaign in a way that doesn’t feel as though we are directly trying to ‘advertise’ to consumers but instead encourage individuals to seek out information regarding the Meat Free Me campaign independently. It might also encourage keen vegetarians/vegans to participate in the Boomerang Bags communities close to them if they learn about the non-profit group from the bags.
I created a few designs for the tote bags below and been working on creating my own mockup for them using one of my tote bags which has been quite an enjoyable and new process for me.
