I personally like to go through all the nails and size them on each of my fingers putting the good ones to the side. Try to trust the process; if the shape looks weird remember that we are going to be fixing that later.

DOUBLE CHECK; Count all 10 nails and make sure they all align with your fingers.

Now, we need the Quick Dry Glue!!

On your first nail, place a small drop respective to your finger nail size and quickly but neatly apply your first nail. Make sure that you are applying it so that all of the glue spreads on the nail and don't forget to ADD PRESSURE!! ~PRESSURE = PERFECTION

BOOM, First nail glued down; now repeat Step 6 for the other 9 fingers…

After, gluing all the nails it's time to file your nails to your preferred shape

personal branding - what does glamor mean to YOU. what makes your sense of glamor different from everyone else’s. personal branding is all about individuality. when everyones idea of glamor is identical to each other’s, everyones personal charm dissipates, and "glamor" loses its meaning. thats why its important to not conform to EVERY little trend, or try and copy someone else’s personal brand.

the difference with getting inspiration from someone and copying someone is simple. when ur inspired by someone, u can do something similar for personal branding, but the distinction between ur brand and INSPIRERS brand is very distinct.

confidence - the most glamorous people are ALWAYS the most confident. the thing about confidence is that nobody can ACTUALLY determine whether or not its real. because of that it is so easy to fake confidence. fake it till u make it. its SUPER easy to create confidence because of this fact.

my favorite way to work on my confidence is through self CONCEPT work. if ur a loa girlie then yk that self concept is the FOUNDATION for literally everything and i stress its importance relentlessly bcuz its JUST that important. im currently working on a big self concept post which is dropping soon, but for now i have lots of self concept posts already that u can reference if u dont know where to start.

treatment - when ur working towards effortless glamor, ofc you’re gonna TREAT yourself as the glamorous individual you are. and what i mean by that is -> treating urself with nothing short of respect and LOVE. some ways to implement effortless glamor into ur life are...

giving urself compliments

AFFIRM TO URSELF (vaunt, and rampage and affirm about how much u love urself, even if u dont at the moment it WILL come into fruition)

self care - pamper urself just like u deserve. take care of ur skin, hair and nails. when u look good u FEEL good. treat urself like a princess, with the upmost care.

pampering yourself - be EXTRAAA and be meticulous. take impeccably good care of ur body and ur health. when ur taking care of urself like u should, you'll glow from the inside out. when u make it a habit to put time into yourself, your confidence AND glamorous energy will skyrocket.

✧ “sit here” he says, patting his lap, “i need you up close”

✧ tries to be as gentle as he can

✧ whines when eyeliner is hard to do then he whines even more when you laugh at him

✧ nothing crazy, like he wouldn’t purposefully make you look bad by any means

✧ “you trust me with this?” he double checks as soon as you lay out your supplies on the desk

✧ he doesn’t look up anything but he lets you talk him through your steps and his touch is so light and a little awkward as he swipes across your eyelid

✧ he can’t hold his reactions when he messes up though, and he’s kind of like 😬 in that very specific vernon way. “i think you’re gonna wanna do this part babe” and he watches so intently as you do it

✧ amidst this though, he does learn about your process and even if he can’t do your look for you entirely, he might offer to do parts of your routine for you in the future. if you’re tired as you’re getting ready in the morning maybe he can lay your foundation for you and your concealer - the parts of your process that aren’t too intricate.

✧ future vernon maybe even offers to take off your makeup for you at the end of a day instead

chan:

✧ he believes the phrase “shoot for the moon. even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars”

✧ in hindsight, it could be poetic but he really just bites off more than he could chew

✧ rewatches the same ten seconds of a tutorial over and over again and he still doesn’t quite understand what cutting a crease means

imagine….

gently holding maddy’s hands while applying a topcoat of nail polish on her fingernails. you treat her so delicately, the brush barely grazing her nails and your fingers cautiously holding hers, afraid of pressing too hard.

your eyes are trained on the slight movements of the brush, your eyebrows knitted in concentration, and your lips pursed ever so slightly. you’re afraid of messing up. you always are, but especially on her. luckily the soft, familiar music playing in the background and the silkiness of your sheets beneath your knees is comforting against the sensation of her in front of you.

she’s just as focused on you, her brown eyes unable to retreat from your face. she’s come to love the way you focus on your craft, the way you focus on her. she’s learned every little quirk of your lips and twitch of your nose from the times you’ve worked on her, committing them all to memory.

she feels awkward and obsessive about the way she thinks about you but she can’t help herself. she loves the way you care, the way warmth radiates off of you whenever you’re touching her, the way you look up at her every so often to check on her. its a sort of calm that she hasn’t felt before.

you had only begun giving her manicures a couple months ago when one of her friends recommended you for a cheap set. you had learned how to do nails from youtube tutorials and it had become your talent, but never in a million years did you think you’d be good enough for the most perfect girl in school.

but you were sat across her on your bed every couple weeks painting intricate patterns on her acrylics. you talked frequently during your sessions but seldom outside the confines of your room. nevertheless, conversation flowed smoothly. she always made you nervous but she was surprisingly easy to talk to. you were like the oasis from her usual, dramatic world.

but then there were moments of silence. there were moments where the only thing you could feel was the soft skin of her hands and the beating of your own heart. and moments when she felt her chest tighten as you made the simplest eye contact.

as much as she wanted to deny it, she knew she felt things for you, even in the short time you had spent together. she knew when she got home each time after leaving your house and was already craving to be with you again. sometimes she tried to ruin her nails just so she had an excuse to see you again. she knew when she laid in bed at night after a bad day and the one thing that made it a bit better was the thought of your sweet smile.

and she must have known you felt things for her. the way your eyes gleamed when she complimented you was almost embarrassing. a single word from her would make your entire day. and every single time you went the extra mile to add painstakingly complex details to her nails and give her a discounted price. though she always paid you more than what you asked of her.

when you were done, you looked up at her with a smile, pushing the brush back into the nail polish jar. you didn’t let go of her hand and she didn’t pull away. the corners of her lips curled upward, her heart melting when she recognized the pride in your eyes and your smile. she slightly squeezed your hand, a silent thanks and praise.

your gaze flickered to your hands and then back to her face, your heart beating faster when you realized just how close you were. you waited patiently, hoping that the adoring look in your eyes would coax her into making the first move. luckily you wouldn’t have to wait much longer.

• Biting your nails is one of the most prominent habit you pick up from him. You just find your nails between your teeth subconsciously

• The ability to flawlessly lie to people seems to be engrained in your blood. It could be about anything and people would still believe you because of both you're believability and your 'good kid' reputation. Exactly the way Fyodor raised you.

• You also pick up bits and pieces of the Russian language. Specifically the annoyed or frustrated words that Fyodor would let out every now and again.

• Fyodor heavily sighs a lot. All the time. It is more frequent when he's stressed, though.

• When he first adopted you, you were already ten years old, so he immediately started recommending you read classic literature - Catcher in the Rye, To Kill a Mockingbird, etc.

• He also helped you with some of your school work, making sure you did it as soon as you were assigned it so you could just get it done and over with.

• 100% plays chess with you regularly. He teaches you all the pieces and rules of the game and challenges you to one day beat him.

Fyodor walked to the kitchen to get water for the two of you while you sat with your homework in front of you. You couldn't help but feel frustrated by the seemingly impossible math problems that even your genius of a father had a difficult time with. You chewed on your nails while you looked over the problem, desperately trying to figure out what you were supposed to be doing whole Fyodor returned to the dining room table with two glasses of water. His brows furrowed when he noticed you biting your nails, quickly swatting your hand away from your mouth. "Malyshka, don't develop that habit, it's no good." He tells, sitting down next to you.

You frowned and sighed. "It can't be that bad if you do it all the time." You mumble, your head resting against your fist. "I believe the phrase goes 'do as I say, not as I do.'" He says, reading the problems on the paper. "This is easy, you can do this on the calculator, can you not?" He says, pushing the calculator towards you. "No. It says to solve it algebraically and I dunno how to do that." Fyodor stares at it for a moment, sighing. "We can YouTube this if it is such a big deal. Pull a tutorial up on your phone." Your father says, watching as you typed in the key words into the search bar. You propped the phone up against a candle in the center of the table, letting out a loud sigh almost identical to your father's. He glanced at you from the side of his eye with his brows furrowed, inhaling and watching the video.

The further into the video you got, the more annoyed and frustrated you got. You put your pencil down and buried your face in your hands, groaning as you did so. "Я так ненавижу это..¹" Fyodors expression immediately turned from a frown to one of surprise. "Did you learn that from me?" He asks, an eyebrow raised. You nod and hum in the affirmative, lifting your head back out of your hands and opening your eyes to the bright dining room lighting again. "You do a lot of stuff that I do. Are you just around me that much?" He asks quietly, his voice soft. "I guess so. Why? Is that a bad thing?" He shakes his head, "Not at all, it just really surprises me. I'm actually very happy about it." He says calmly, leaning over and kissing your forehead. "Guess you just haven't absorbed all of my intelligence. Finish your homework, Malyshka." He ruffles your hair and walks off to prepare dinner. "You couldn't solve it either!" You roll your eyes and pick the pencil back up, continuing your agonizing task of finishing your math homework.

Easy Paper and Tape Stencil Tutorial

made one for reddit so I might as well post it here as well

Materials

writing utensil (pen, pencil, marker, etc)

paper (i usually use plain printer paper but most other scrap paper works fine as well, just be aware that thicker paper makes it harder to trace existing designs/logos)

clear packing tape

scissors and/or exacto knife (those little scissors you can get in cheap nail care kits work great

Optional Materials: Device w/ screen of your choice, printer

Step 1:

Draw out your design, trace from device, or print out design

(in example image I am tracing from a screen)

r/AnarchoStencilism (Deviantart link if you prefer) is great for free stencil designs

Step 2:

Cover both sides (front and back) of the design in packing tape

Step 3:

Cut it out

Step 4:

Use your exacto knife/scissors to cut out the design

Step 4:

Apply to whatever you want!
