(A Luffy x afab! Reader)
Trope: Childhood Bestfriend

Though both of you had cut off contact, you missed eachother dearly, after a recent meet up, feelings finally gets recognized!
Genre: Tooth rotting leg kicking Kind of Fluff
(Ig)
Tumblr media
Your childhood was wild, with a heck load of heart attacks since you were with Luffy. Always ending up one way or another with random animals that were 5 times your size and somehow managing to kill it with the help from Ace and Sabo.
It was mostly you and luffy that hung out. Garp would describe your friendship with luffy as unbreakable or a 'two peas in a pod' scenario.
The moment you two met for the first time soemthing clicked with the both of you and you two became instant besties!
One time both of you climbed a really tall tree. Like almost 9 feet. You guys were small and that was really scary. You guys were stuck there for 4 hours sitting one branch, sitting next to eachother calling for Garp until he finally found you two and managed to get you down safely.
It was mostly Luffy that got the scolding because Garp spared you and liked you better since you were more disciplined than Luffy. Though you did give Garp a piece of your mind by telling him not to scold Luffy so harshly and actually punched Garp in the stomach. He collapsed.
Luffy gapsed in amazement and was hugging you like crazy for saving him. You did blush a bit and hugged him back obviously. Garp sat and saw you slightly blushing when Luffy hugged you. 'Good luck [name], hope you get with Luffy' Garp thought. It did look really sweet and He really did hope you two got together.
"[Name]!!" Luffy shouted, running to you with enthusiasm.
"Oh, Hey Luff! What's up?" You said as you raised your head up from picking some berries from a nearby bush
"I have a realllyyy important thing to tell you."Luffy said inbetween breaths as he was running toward you.
"Oooo~ Tell me!!!" You sqealed in excitement, gently placing the berry basket on the ground and making small jumps from the excitement.
"Pinky promise me something! Promise me that we will always be together! From the start to the End!" He said shyly as he held out his Pinky for you to hold.
"I promise luffy!" You held his Pinky and made the promise. This was very special to the both of you until you both turned 16.
"Luffy, are you sure about this? It seems really dangerous and I don't want you getting lost or worse, hurt" you asked worryingly. Becoming KING OF PIRATES is not an easy damn task. There will be multiple hurdles for you to meet and you might as well end up dead.
"[Name], I'm gonna be fine! Don't'cha worry bout me okay? I promise to visit you!" Luffy said, flashing the smile you always adored and cherished.
"Oh luffy! Take this. I made it. It's something for you to remember of me. I hope you like if." You hand him a bracelet with both of your initials. and plus, the beads match eachother! His was a red and white, while your was your (f/c) with black. It couldn't be more prettier!
"Woah!! [Name] these look so cool! Thank you!~" luffy chirps while admiring the bracelet around his wrist.
" Stay safe Luffy, see you soon" you wished him while sqeezing his hand tightly, in return, he sqeezed yours too.
"I promise [Name]. I'll bring you loads of treasure too!" Luffy promised, looking into your eyes.
His boat became smaller and smaller from the dock. You wished he didn't leave, but it would eat you up if you didn't allow him to live his dream. Even if it's the most difficult and dangerous one.
It's been 3 years since he left. You've seen his wanted posters before and you couldn't be more proud of him for reaching his goal.not to mention his bounty was beyond what you expected. His goofy smile makes you fall inlove with him over and over again. Your 19 and you own a small flower shop thats pretty popular around the whole island. Sales have been great and you've actually been making a lot of money.
It was a balmy afternoon and you were just closing up the shop, until you heard a few locals screaming.
"PIRATES HAVE COME!!!" "PIRATES HAVE COME!!"
You wondered if it was luffy and his crew. You ran to the docks and were met by your smiling best friend. And to your surprise, he still has the bracelet on!
"Luffy!" You shouted in excitement and joy as you locked eyes with him.
"[Name]!!" Luffy shouted back, using his devil fruit to bear hug you from a distance.
His crew had come to meet you. One had really nice black silky hair. You could recognize her front the wanted posters. Nico Robin. Another one had green hair. It oddly reminded you of a moss patch. Another one had crispy golden locks and was puffing a cigarette.
"Ah! So you [Name]. Thank God we met you, otherwise we would have to stuff Luffy's mouth with food to make him stop talking about you" one woman approached you. She had soft orange locks that looked beautiful under the sun. She had stuck out her hand to handshake you.
"[Nams]!!~ it's been so long since we talked!! I missed you sooooo much." Luffy whined while clinging onto your body like a leech.
"I'm hungry! Where's that diner we always went to as kids?" Luffy asked while looking around the island.
"I'll take you and your crew there Luff. Let's go now."
Everyone is enjoying their time at the diner. Zoro seemed to be drinking more than eating. You looked around and was satisfied everyone was filling themselves up. Especially luffy.
"Hey Luff, remember that spot we use to go to for hide and seek?" You asked as you turned your head to mee this eyes
"Oh yea!the cherry bloom tree!" Luffy said while eating meat.
"We can go there after we eat, I wanna talk to you in private."
You and Luffy walk to the Chery blossom tree and sat under it. Remembering the memories behind it. The tree was located under a cliff and it had a very nice shade of pink. The petals were falling and it looked quite the best place to relax.
"Hey Luff, could you hear me out?" You ask, as your [e/c] eyes meet his.
"Yea sure! What on your mind?" Luffy asks while doing his signature gummy smile.
"Look, I dont know how to explain this but, ever since we met when we were kids, I've... always liked you. Loved you actually. You were fun, kind ,caring sweet, cute, you were the most perfect human being I've ever met... so I asked you to come here so that I can confess, that I'm in love with you Luffy, it's a deep connection. I've loved you From the start to the End ."
Luffy's eyes widened as he took all the information you gave him for processing. He then flashed a smile and kissed you. Passionately.
"I love you too [Name]!!!" Luffy shouts and he hugs you tighter than anything.
There are tears in your eyes as you finally spat out your feelings for him. You finally confessed.
"Thank you luffy.."You were choking on your sobs of happiness as you hugged him tight.
"[Name], do you wanna join my crew? Cause thats when we both will be together always!"
You were hesitant at first, but.. how could you say no to the love of your life?
You were now moving into The thousand sunny. You said goodbye to your homeland. Taking in one last look before you smile and turn your back, as the the ship starts to sail away.
Now, your adventure begins, with your boyfriend and his crew

(X men animated) Yandere Nightstalker X Fem reader who can control plants
Okay! I can do that, but it will be platonic, and I only write gender-neutral Reader x platonic yandere. Thank you for asking, and let's hope this turns out good:
You tended to see the good in everything.
From the dandelions that were called weeds to the roses so cherished, even the dead trees, you saw beauty and value in everything around you. That was part of your mutation.
You could make plants grow.
With a small surge of power or touch of a finger or a kiss, you could make trees flower with fruit, let vines lengthen and grow, even make flowers bloom in the cold of winter.
And you'd met someone, someone who you saw beauty in, inside and out. Others didn't see it, but they looked with their eyes, not with their hearts.
His name was Kurt Wagner, or as he was sometimes called, Nightcrawler.
He was a sweet soul, always smiling, praying for others with nothing but sincerity, and always having a kind word to share. He was someone you trusted, who you'd go to when in trouble.
For instance, right now.
You'd been chased from your village by someone who saw you make an elderly lady's berry bushes bud, and as of the moment, you were asking if Kurt would let you stay with him at the church.
"Mein freund, you are alvays velcome here. Come, let us hide you," he answered, guiding you gently into the old building.
"Thank you, Kurt. You're a good friend. I wish others knew you the way i did," you respond softly. He gives you a small, comforting grin, pulling you into a hug. His fur is soft, smelling of books and candle wax.
"Mein freund, you are a good freund yourself. God has blessed me for letting me know you." With a small sigh, he pulls away, and carefully sits you down on one of the pews, telling you he will be back shortly.
He never understood how others could be so cruel. God had made them all, unique and different and extraordinary, yet so many people never understood God's love. And God had blessed him with such love, had he not? In the firm of his sweet friend, who grew flowers for his church an brought fresh fruits and helped the nearby villages and towns when their crops failed. He always prayed for them, and thanked God every time he thought of them. He wasn't a man of war, and he wasn't a man of hate-
But...
Giving a slight scare to those who did not accept love and forgiveness might make them think over what they'd done.
He bamfs down, so he is hiding behind the person who had chased his friend through the rain to the church, watching as carefully. They hold a gun in hand, and are pounding at the doors. With a small puff, Kurt appears next to them-
"AAAAAH! DEMON! WITCH!"
And suddenly, the person is running, far away and (hopefully) rethinking their choices.
With a small chuckle, he bamfs back inside, where he and his friend can say vespers and eat dinner, undisturbed and blessed with each others company...

Omg please hades son Oscar is what I need. He’s friends with Lando and they are the duo that everyone is scared of in camp cause they are children of the big three but in reality Oscar is really calm and very self-aware when it comes to his powers. Well Lando not so much because he likes the fact he’s so powerful, unlike Oscar. But Oscar always tries to control him as much as he can and it works. I can so see Max coming into camp later and he’s super insecure and guarded because of that. But the two warm their way into his heart eventually and now kids worry not only about Hades’ and Poseidon’s sons but also Zeus’. They are the new big three however their father don’t like it.
Oscar would date Demeter’s daughter and they are the perfect balance to each other. She’s life and he’s death and it’s just the way it was always supposed to be. I can see Lando dating Hades’ daughter so well basically Oscar’ sister and when Oscar finds out it’s the only time he looses control and maybe they have this epic fight that ends in half of the camp destroyed and them hugging each other in the end because it’s stupid to fight they can just talk it out (they can’t. Oscar just has to deal with it). Who would Max date??? I can maybe see Athena’s daughter? It fits I think.
Or well Charles. Charles is always a good idea
tbh i kinda want the big 3 kids to be only children like in the percy jackson series bc it adds a lil extra drama to be forbidden children, plus w lando as a poseidon kid i kinda want him w an athena daughter to keep up w the stupid boy/smart girl dynamic that percy and annabeth have because its sooo cute. my fav
if oscar had a sister, and lando dated her, there wouldn't even be a chance a fight, oscar would open the ground up and send him straight down to daddy. gf standing off to the side like 😦 did you just- did you just send my bf to hell? and oscar’s like oops sorry, i passively thought that i wished the ground would swallow him whole when i saw you holding hands but i didn’t expect it to happen? everyone in camp is staring down the ravine going through camp and then looking to oscar with fear in their eyes and he’s just like ): dont look at me like that im sure he’ll be back soon. my dad will get sick of him real quick.
lando’s in hades's realm playing fetch with cerebus and chatting up old spirits. hades pissed because some idiot is distracting his guard dog again. few hours goes by and lando appears in the middle of camp, a little dirty from his impromptu dive underground, but okay. gf doting on him and oscar's sick of it but doesn't make the world eat him again.
could also work w a lil love triangle/thrupple moment where oscar and her are best friends and he's hopelessly in love w her but thinks he has no shot and then he sees her and lando flirting and next thing you know a hole is opening under lando's feet and he's got a one way ticket to visit hades.
i could see max with a daughter of aphrodite, he’s normally very confident bc he’s so strong, once he settles into the camp all the girls are crushing on him and he flirts w them all so easily except for her. any other child of aphrodite yea sure pretty or whatever. but he sees her like picking berries with oscar’s gf from demeter and just stops and stares and oscar is like “y’know my girl can put in a good word for you!” and max gets all flustered and is like “im a son of zues, i don’t need help picking up girls.” oscar daring him to go talk to her if he doesn’t need help, and max doesn’t back down from any challenge so he goes to talk to her. he gets a few steps away and forgets how to speak, the rehearsed lines fade away and he’s turning around just before he gets to them. he rushes back to oscar like, okay yeah. maybe ask her to put in a good word. he goes so stupid around her and all he can think ab is how pretty she is, how nice the sound of her voice is, how pillowy her lips look.
or we talked about a nemesis child, max could date a child of nemesis and she’s sooo protective over him and will fuck w anyone who bothers him. someone makes an offhand remark about him and they have bad luck for a week. injures him sparring and they get hurt twice as bad by their next opponent. her and him flying together, holding hands and zipping through the clouds, her with actual wings and him just using the wind.

The Temple
***
Chapter 3 - The truth shall set you free
***
Note:
My apologies for taking so long on this one. I had written this chapter, then promptly lost the will to write for a while. I never posted it, then I forgot that it was ready to post. Whoops, my bad.
***
Warnings:
18+ smutty foreplay? Language, mentions of past trauma, feeling denial, angsty vibes, romantic sort of?, sex pollen/berries
***
Summary:
You don't get one. It will spoil the chapter.
***
Soon you both were just hovering over one of these odd bushes and eating handfuls of blue raspberries. You both hadn't eaten in a whole day, so the sustenance was greatly appreciated. After you finished eating, you felt your body heat up, like the air in the cool chamber was growing in temperature. You kept quiet about it, figuring he didn't need to hear you whine about something as trivial as being hot, especially since it had been hot for days.
Steven took you by the hand all around the perimeter of the place, to hopefully look for more clues. When you got back to the beginning entrance, which was now shut, Steven appeared to be sweating just as badly as you. He was tugging on his tie, trying to loosen it a bit, and he banished his gloves away, then his suit jacket.
"Blimey, it got hot all of a sudden, which is odd. We're underground, in a very cool, temperature controlled climate. How are you holding up?" Steven asked. You huffed and took off your backpack, setting it down in the ground as you took off your long coat meant to keep the sun and sand off of you. You didn't exactly need it right now anyways. You grabbed two water bottles from your pack, and handed one to Steven.
Both of you cracked them open and chugged them back in a way that left you gasping for air. You only felt a little bit refreshed, and you decided to remove your shirt, leaving you in a sports bra. You shoved your things into your bag, wishing you could just vanish it away the way they did with their suit. You started to walk to the center of the oasis, where a large purple obelisk was standing in the biggest pool of water.
It didn't take very long to get to the pillar. Steven was breathing heavily as he stared at you in that bra. He had seen you in your underwear before, but every time he would act like it was the first time, and he would always let out a sigh when he saw your breasts in the thin and nearly see-through fabric. Then he watched you go to the lavender stone for a few moments, just looking at it, trying to figure out what it was made of. Amethyst maybe?
"Damn. That's a big amethyst point. It's perfect." Steven followed you to inspect it, confirming your suspicions.
As cool as that was, you were thirsty, hot, and very uncomfortable. Sweat was dripping down your hair to your back, pooling and soaking the back of your pants and knees. You only had two more water bottles, and you were thirsty. You saw Steven whispering to himself, knowing he was trying to work out what the obelisk said. You smiled at the way he would switch to talking to Marc or Jake, and it was adorable to watch. Steven turned to you, and he sighed.
"This thing says the water here is enchanted. It quenches thirst, and gives energy," Steven said, and he pointed to the various pools of water.
"It also says it's purified and blessed by Hathor herself," he said, and he took his empty bottle of water to fill it from the nearest spring.
"Let me try it, make sure it's alright to drink. You can save your bottles for yourself, and by then, we'll know if the water is good enough for you. If we're here that long, anyways." Steven sighed and he sniffed the water. It smelled sweet, and it was slightly blue, like the berries you had ingested. He took a swig, smacked his lips, and the same blissful and serene look came over his face from before.
"Bloody hell. It tastes just like the raspberries. It must be how they get the taste and color." Steven said, then he promptly chugged the rest of the bottle back. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and he leaned back against a tree, head tipped back as he peered at the pillar.
You stared at him, seeing him run his hand through his hair and wiping his palm on his pants. You could see his skin was warm with perspiration, the sweat slowly making its way down his neck, down his Adam's apple, and down into the collar of his shirt. You swallowed hard, and imagined kissing him, tasting the salt on his skin.
Afterwards, he rolled up both of his sleeves in a slow and precise manner, showing off his powerful forearms that you had secretly drooled over for the past twenty or so odd years. You could see his dress shirt had dark patches under his arms, at the small of his back, and the dip around his tie. He was cooking in the heat, yet the air was almost icy cold, his breath coming out in a fine mist.
You weren't doing too well yourself. You were sweating and burning up, and you felt an odd sensation in the pit of your stomach that went straight to your groin. It felt similar to doing drugs, the kind you used to do in your early twenties. Moving was becoming unbearable, because the fabric of your pants was scratchy and hot. You looked at the pool of water, wishing to cool down in it.
"You think the gods would be mad if I bathed in one of these pools?" you asked, and no sooner had you said the words, then the pillar began to glow and pulse. Slowly an image of a beautiful and ethereal woman with long horns appeared in the stone.
"Greetings, mortals. Welcome to the temple of bonding. Ah, Avatars of Khonshu, welcome. And a very warm welcome to your lady friend. Thank you for coming here," the woman in the pillar gently said in greeting. Steven stepped up to face her.
"Uh, thanks. Why did you need us to come here, Hathor? You didn't exactly tell the big bird what it is you needed us to retrieve. You just said a priceless artifact. What does it look like?" Steven asked. Hathor began to chuckle as she gave him a lewd looking sneer.
"I need a special gem. It will only reveal itself if a God's Avatar declares a deeply buried, but known and unspeakable truth. They must make an oath of bonding, and then give an offering as tribute. Only then, will the gem be freed from its prison. Only then, will you two escape this place," Hathor's image replied with sparkling eyes.
Steven tilted his head and scratched his temple. He looked confused, and to be honest, so were you. The heat was becoming more bothersome, and at this point, you just wanted to ask Hathor if it would be alright to relax for a little bit in one of the clear sparkling pools of blue water.
"Well, I have a question!" you said with a bit of a pant. Hathor chuckled again and she nodded.
"Yes?"
"I think I have heat stroke or something. Would it be okay to rest and lounge in the water? Just until I feel a bit better, and while Steven tries to figure out what to do."
"Oh, of course! Both of you actually should. I recommend the large one with this obelisk. It's deep and calming, and has a nice shallow slope on one end. And yes, the water is drinkable. I suggest you get comfortable, because you'll be here for a while," Hathor said with a mischievous look on her face.
You sighed with happiness, and thanked her as you set your bag down by some flat rocks next to the pool she mentioned. You kicked off your shoes and toed off your socks. You rummaged around your bag for the small towel you had, and you put it out onto the rock.
"Okay. But what do you mean by that? How long is a while?" Steven asked as he unbuttoned his vest and willed it away.
"Well, the tribute that is required will take a while."
"What exactly is this tribute? You're not going to make me sacrifice her, I hope? You said no harm will come to her." Steven was worried, but the worry faded when Hathor erupted into a fit of giggles.
"Oh, heavens… No. Didn't my brother tell you?" she asked while wiping a tear from her eye. Steven did not look amused, and his response told her that, no, Khonshu did not tell him or his alters what was expected.
"Is this woman not your most trusted friend?"
"Oh, yes. I trust her. We all trust her. With our very lives if it came down to it."
"Would you die for her?"
"I know I would. Jake says he trusts her, and he would die for her a thousand times over," Steven softly whispered, but you still heard him. It made you blush, and the hot feeling in your gut got worse. You squeezed your legs together as you ease yourself into the pool. The water instantly cooled your skin down, but it made the odd rush in your blood stronger, like you just snorted a few rails of uppers. You tried to concentrate on your breathing so Steven wouldn't get worried, but you were finding it difficult.
"I want to hear it from him," Hathor requested, and the suit morphed to the one Jake usually wore. His face was free of any mask, showing off his hardened expression, melting into a soft one similar to Steven's.
"Sí. I trust her more than anything in this world. I would fight anyone, including your brother, to make sure she was safe. I would gladly trade my life for hers. Ella lo es todo para mí. Mi luz, mi amor, mi vida," Jake rasped out as he stared at you with an affectionate grin. You felt your heart flutter, and your lower half surged with that burning sensation between your thighs. Fuck, you always loved it when he spoke Spanish. It did the same naughty things to you as Steven's accent.
"What about Marc Spector? What does he say?" Hathor softly asked, and Jake was quiet for a moment as he tried to get Marc to answer.
"Marc Spector. Answer me," the Goddess firmly said once more, and Jake went rigid as his eyes rolled and his jaw clenched with a hiss. A second later, his face was all scowls and his suit was changing to the one with the cape and hood, but with no mask and the hood down.
"I asked you a question, Marc Spector. Please answer me. I'm not like Khonshu. I won't belittle you for your response."
Marc sighed as he glanced over to you. You were in the water up to your nose, watching and listening. He was ashamed he couldn't easily answer this question the way Steven and Jake had.
"I… I do trust her. She's always been there for me. For my alters…"
"But would you die for her?" Hathor pressed, sounding a tad annoyed that it was taking him so long to admit it.
"Yes." Was all he could muster as he hung his head. His clothes started to shift back to Steven's suit, leaving Steven standing there the way he was before, with no gloves, jacket, or vest.
Steven was about to ask one more question, when Hathor's image suddenly faded out as she wished you both good luck. Her last words echoed through the oasis, and it sent a chill down Steven's spine, right into his middle, where all three of them felt it.
"Remember! You must face an unspoken truth, and speak it out loud, then I require tribute!"
Steven chewed his lower lip as he came up to where you were. You were only in your underwear, a black sports bra, and a matching set of panties. He felt himself flush and he scolded himself for growing hard.
'Steven. She looks beautiful,' Jake suddenly whispered to him. Steven gulped as his clothing shifted back to his funky coloured shirt and khaki pants. He took off his shirt, his eyes never leaving your form as you floated on your back with closed eyes.
'She looks stressed. Her brows are furrowed, like she's in pain,' Marc spoke up.
"Maybe she has a headache. She did say she wasn't feeling too well. Like she had a heat stroke or something. Come to think of it, I don't feel very good, myself. I feel overly hot, my blood feels like it's boiling and tingling in my veins…" Steven trailed off, then lowered his voice so you wouldn't hear him.
"And I'm hard as a rock. How am I supposed to get in the water, without her noticing?"
'Just do it now. Her eyes are shut,' Marc suggested and Jake started laughing.
'Yeah, hermanito. Just strip already and get in the water.'
Steven grumbled and stripped down to his boxers. Well, these ones were actually Jake's, and he didn't care too much for how tight they were. They offered no way of hiding his raging erection. On that thought, he slid into the cold water with a sigh and clung to the side of the pool as he found the floor that allowed him to stand with his head out of the water. He started to wade out towards you while thinking about what Hathor had said.
He was stuck in his thoughts. Of the specific word, 'bonding', and then the sign that had the weird poem. He decided the poem was a hint, and he shut his eyes to try and remember what it said. The words came tumbling from his mouth, and he started to feel strange, almost feverish:
Berries of blue,
Eat and become new,
Find the center,
Your true selves will be free,
Keep it true,
Bind yourself to three,
Drink of ecstasy,
Show your hearts to thee.
"Steven? Are you okay?" You suddenly asked him, but he wasn't able to hear you. There was a nasty buzzing in his ears, and he was suddenly plagued with the worst head rush he had ever had. He stared at his reflection, which at the moment, it was Jake looking back at him with a quizzical look. You saw Steven holding his head, gripping his hair tightly. His head was hanging so close to the water, his nose was touching it. You flipped onto your stomach and swam over to him.
"Steven?" You gently said while placing your hand onto his shoulder. The moment you did, he growled, and stumbled back like you had just burned him.
"Are you alright? Steven?" You said as you chased him to the edge of the pool.
"I think I'm gonna be sick," Steven replied with a shaky breath, and he promptly lost consciousness, falling into the water completely. You panicked and dove down to grab him, but he was just out of your reach. You hated opening your eyes in the water, but you did so to see him better.
You blinked when you saw three bodies suspended just inches above the floor of the pool. Your mind raced when you realized they all looked the same. You grabbed one and hauled him up onto the shore, then you grabbed the other two. All three still had their legs dangling in the water, and all three were starting to cough and sputter.
You were stunned, seeing there were three of Steven now. One was sitting up and coughing badly, while another rolled onto his stomach to vomit. The last one just grit his teeth and he squinted at you while swiping a lock of wet hair from his face.
"God damn. Steven, what the fuck happened?" Marc said. At least the one who just vomited sounded like Marc.
The one coughing managed to huff out a reply between wheezes, and that one sounded like Steven.
"I said I was gonna be sick, mate. What more do you want from me?"
The last one, well, he craned his neck to look at the other two who were right beside him. He tilted his head and raised a brow, then looked down at himself and his hands. The gears quickly whirled around in his head.
"Hermanos…" Jake's voice spoke up, but Steven and Marc kept bitching.
"Seriously, Steven, I don't want to share this experience. Take the body back this instant. Hell, Jake, take the body!" Marc blurted out, right before he puked again.
"Haha, real funny, Marc. I was going to ask the same thing…"
"Hermanos!" Jake yelled this time. Both the other two fell silent as they turned to look at Jake.
Marc's eyes went wide, while Steven's jaw went slack. A second later, they looked at each other, then right back at Jake. You floated there looking just as stunned.
All three of your boys were there, and separated from each other. You reached out, going to touch the ankle of the one staring at you intently. Jake. He felt so real, and just the same as before, but with his facial expressions. You turned to Steven, and grabbed his ankle to do the same thing. They felt exactly the same, but the way they reacted when you grabbed them was entirely different.
Jake had reached out to wrap his hand around your wrist when you grabbed him. He stared at you with a warm grin as his thumb rubbed yours in slow and soothing circles. Steven blushed and placed his hand over yours, his eyes darting to where you held Jake with the other hand, and then back to his own ankle, a large smile plastered to his face.
And Marc…
Poor Marc had just finished wiping his mouth and chugging back one of your water bottles to get rid of the taste of bile mixed with raspberries in his throat. He huffed and looked at you, still in the water, between his legs while you held onto Steven and Jake.
His brain started to backfire.
This wasn't possible.
There was absolutely no fucking way that this was happening right now.
"This is mental, innit? You guys seeing this, yeah?" Steven said as he reached out to touch Marc. Marc flinched, and stared at Steven. It was like the Duat all over again, and he felt panic rising up in his chest.
"Are we dying again?" Marc asked as he checked his entire body out. Nothing was amiss. He even looked over at Jake, seeing the man was not bothered at all by what was happening. Marc noticed that Jake was more focused on your hand, than trying to figure out why they had been split apart.
"I don't think you guys are dying," You offered up as you removed your hand from Steven to place on Marc's thigh. Marc looked at your hand and frowned.
"I think she's right, mate. Hathor did say we would not be harmed."
"I think this counts as being harmed, Steven. We're all separate. How are we supposed to figure out what to do like this?" Marc motioned to their bodies with a grunt.
"Well, she's not harmed," Steven muttered back.
Jake started laughing and you looked up at his face. He turned to look at you, and his hand on yours tightened, beginning to pull you up to a standing position between his legs. Marc stared at Jake, and a feeling of dread started to well up in his chest.
He knew how his alters felt about you.
They adored you.
They loved you, just like he did. You were always there for them, with minimal questions asked, and now for the first time in his life, he was seeing Jake's expression of intent, and Marc was scared. He had seen that look before on his own face, and on Steven's when they used to drink with you.
Pure, unhinged affection.
What he failed to realize, is that Jake was calmer than he had been in his entire life. Jake was able to think clearly, without them nattering in his head. With having to be constantly willing them to stay down so they couldn't be conscious at the same time. Now he didn't have to be on high alert. Now all that was on Jake's mind was you.
"Mi Vida… Mi amor…" Jake purred out as he wrapped his arms tightly around you and stuffed his face into the crook of your neck. The closeness and the sudden declaration that escaped his lips made you shiver and a small moan escaped your mouth as he rubbed your back.
Jake understood what needed to be done. He might have always been the quiet one that lurked in the background, but he was always watching and listening. He had heard and seen that inscription on the rock, and he had heard Hathor's cryptic and riddle-like words of advice. He knew Marc wouldn't be the one to figure it out first, and if he did, he would pretend like he was stupid, because he knew Marc was deathly afraid to tell you the truth.
But now was his moment. Marc couldn't stop him this time, even if he was mortified with the way Jake was holding you.
"Don't fucking touch her like that!" Marc snapped just as Jake started to leave sloppy and open mouthed kisses to your throat. You shook in his hold, feeling that heat inside of your belly increased ten fold. You barely even heard Marc's words as Jake tucked you closer to his chest.
"Fuck off, Spector," Jake retorted as he turned to glare at Marc. Marc grit his teeth, ready to throw down if he had to, when Steven grabbed his shoulder hard, and pulled him back.
"Marc. Calm down-" Steven started to say, but Marc slapped his hand away as he growled at him.
"No, Steven! I can't fucking calm down. Jake's taking advantage of her and-"
"He's not taking advantage of her, mate. Look at her eyes. She wants him. She's always wanted him," Steven whispered as he pointed at you and the way your face was pressed into Jake's chest. Marc deflated, knowing damn well Steven was right.
"She's wanted this with all of us," Jake replied softly, his hands rubbing and squeezing at your back. He moved one hand to your chin, and tilted your face up to look him in the eye.
"Isn't that right, mi amor?" He rasped, his eyes deeply set on yours. You swallowed thickly and nodded. You would have been crying by now, had your insides not felt like you were filled with drugs that messed with your senses. All you felt was arousal and longing, a feeling that had been there for years for these men when they were of one body.
And you were now at your breaking point, having Jake so close, hearing his heartbeat as your face rested against the palm of his hand, his thumb stroking your cheek.
"I know I've wanted her since day one. I even tried to make you see that, Spector. You never should have married Layla. You should have married this one, right here," Jake growled the words as he glared at him.
"Oh. So you're the one that kept fucking things up in my marriage!" Marc raised his voice in an accusational manner. Jake snorted and clicked his tongue.
"I'm not the one that would start drinking to cope with the guilt of being with the wrong person. You would start fights with Layla, then black out half way through them, leaving me to fucking deal with it. Yes. I will admit it. I did purposely come out to start fights with her. But I hardly ever had to with the way you kept fucking things up. I came out and made it worse, then let you back, only for you to start drinking. I'd wait for you to pass out, then I would take us where we belonged. With her. Isn't that right, Steven?" Jake remarked as he looked at Steven.
Steven blushed and looked away. He knew Jake was right. All those times he'd pass out, then come to in your flat. He always went along with it, figuring it was normal, and that you somehow kept him grounded. You did keep him grounded, and you never told him to leave. You always welcomed him.
"All those nights spent cuddling under a blanket, reading to her, or telling her stories about mythology. You can't say that's just a friend hanging out with a friend. Holding her hand, and rubbing her back. When she almost died, we didn't leave her side for months. Steven and I legitimately took care of her, while you just shut right off. You couldn't bear to see her like that, yet you made us do it. Even after she said she loved us. All of us," Jake laid down the hard truths right in front of Marc, and he wasn't sugar coating it.
"No. She can't love us. We're fucked up. We've killed people. We-" Marc tried to argue, but Jake smacked his arm with a growl.
"I said shut up, Spector. I think it's time to stop running from this. Steven knows I'm right, and so do you. I know, deep in my bones, that this is why Hathor demanded she come with us," Jake snapped back at Marc.
He looked at you again, going to rub his thumb over your lower lip. You shut your eyes as his fingers stroked the side of your neck.
"You've loved us for a long time, mi luz de luna. You've always been here for us. You didn't try to stop Marc from getting married, because you didn't want him to know that you loved us. You just wanted him to be happy… You didn't want to be rejected, right?" Jake asked as your eyes filled with tears.
All the emotions were becoming too much.
The heat in your belly, the turmoil of loving these three very different people…
"Yes. I've loved you all, with all of my heart. I just wanted Marc to be happy, even if it wasn't with me."
"Well he wasn't happy. Did you know that?" Jake said and you blinked.
"He forgot Layla's birthday, their anniversary, and the holiday." Jake carefully said.
You knew what he was getting at, because Marc never forgot about you when it was your birthday, or the holidays.
"He would go out and get her meals or drinks, and always come back with your favorites. She would be mad when Marc mentioned you. He doesn't know what her favorite color is, yet he remembers yours. He would buy her your favorite flowers, a kind she hates. He would bring home little trinkets from our missions, and she would be furious with him when he said he bought them for you, yet he didn't bring anything home for her." As Jake went on to tell you all the little things that Marc had done while he was with Layla. You were touched, although a little sad for the woman that never really had his love.
Jake leaned down and kissed your forehead, then down to your cheek, and finally your mouth. It was a soft and loving kiss, one that conveyed just how much he cared for you. He slowly slipped into the water with you while giving Steven an odd look. Steven returned the look, and he too slipped into the water. Marc continued to sit there on the edge of the pool as he watched Steven wade over to you, with Jake turning you to face him, his chest flush up against your back with both hands firmly holding onto your waist.
"Jake's right, Marc. I've loved her too, since the beginning. I've just been too scared to say or do anything." Steven murmured softly as he reached out to hug you.
He pressed his forehead against yours and looked into your eyes. All he could see was adoration and love…
And that deep rumbling of lust that was brewing inside. The same lust that was coursing through his veins this very second.
Steven pressed his lips to yours, but he surprised you with how hard he kissed you. He was all teeth and tongue, licking into your mouth as he pressed himself close to you, sandwiching you between him and Jake. You whimpered as he moved to your neck, while Jake took the other side, leaving you in a sea of bliss as they nudged and pawed at you from both sides.
Marc was shocked to see how aggressive Steven was being. How he had no hesitation, no regret, and no fear as he kissed you. He was even more shocked to see that Jake was calm and allowing Steven to take what he wanted from you. He was especially shocked to see how eagerly you kissed him back, with the same urgency and need.
"How can you do that to her? How can you just… Just-" Marc stammered as he watched Steven reach down and hike your legs up around his waist. At the same time, Jake was smoothing his hands up your sides. Both of them were touching you just right, driving you insane.
"Love her?" Steven shot back in a deeper voice without even bothering to look at Marc. He looked at Jake, and he smiled lewdly. Jake gave him a grin back as he met Marc's gaze. He could feel the heat, and the tightness of his boxers against your body.
"It's easy. Stop lying to yourself. You want this… You want her, just as much as we do," Jake stated as he nipped your neck. He was feeling the heat in his own stomach, and he was losing his patience with Marc. He was about ready to just stop talking to him, and show Marc exactly what needed to be done.
"Yeah, mate. Stop fighting it. We aren't going to any more. That's the point of this quest, innit, Jake?" Steven nearly groaned as Jake pressed you against him.
You squirmed between them, finally understanding what was going on. Jake looked at you with a smoldering expression.
"Sí. Hathor knows how much we love you. She wants us to be with you, hoping to keep us from slipping into the darkness of being her brother's Avatar," Jake said while he kissed your neck. He was quickly slipping deeper and deeper into the feelings of lust as time ticked away.
Marc barely moved an inch when he saw Jake cup one of your breasts. His nimble digits peeled the cup of your bra down, exposing your soft mound of flesh. Jake was pinching and rolling your nipple between his rough fingers, causing you to moan and squirm more. Steven couldn't help himself, and he moved his hands to undo your bra, pulling it off and flinging it behind him. It smacked Marc in the knee, and he stared at the wet garment of clothing. He looked up just in time to see Steven dip his face down to capture a nipple in his mouth.
His heart twisted in his chest, and that hot feeling in his center was getting worse. He was also filled with jealousy, seeing his alters were freely touching you, and making you moan for them.
Without him.
You were moaning for them, and not him.

part 1 | part 2 | part 3 | part 4 | part 5 | part 6 | 6.2
Tumblr media
It was a little past eclipse, you and Neteyam still sat in the same place. Your back was against a tree and his head was in your lap as you ran your hands through his braids, you made a mental note to yourself that they needed to be touched up soon. The two of you had sat there, talking about any and everything, avoiding the scolding you’d get from your parents when you returned.
“Once we are mates,” Neteyam grabs your hand, “I will bring you to the forest, to meet Mo’at and everyone I grew up with.”
“I would love that, Nete.”
You were willing to go anywhere he goes, you always wanted to see other parts of your world. You could only imagine how beautiful the forest was.
“Where are we going to raise the kids?” Neteyam chuckled, looking up at you.
“Um…” You trailed off, locking your eyes on his. It was a good question, maybe too soon but still a good one, “I do not know, we will figure that out when the time comes.”
“No time soon though.” He laughs again, “Definitely not.” You join in.
Oh, but you couldn’t wait. You couldn’t wait to spend your life with him. Kiss him, hold him, whenever you wanted. Create a family with him, raise them wherever you guys decide on in the future. Neteyam couldn’t wait either, staring up into your ocean eyes, getting lost in them. He wanted nothing but to make you his, right now, right here but he respects your wishes.
The two of you sat there until dusk, finally coming to an agreement to head back to your families. Once you two parted ways you walked to your pod, opening the flap to see your family gathering for breakfast.
“I will not even ask where you have been.” Your mother says, “Eat child.”
You sat in between your siblings, picking at the variety of fruit and other things in front of you. The pod was silent, the only words being exchanged were a few between you and your siblings, but the tension in the room could be cut with a knife.
“You look tired.” Ao’nung looks over your face, he wasn’t trying to be funny, he genuinely noticed how your face isn’t lighten up how it usually is, “And you look like a skxwang.” You retort.
Ao’nung laughs, “I was not trying to be mean. Do you want me to cover training for today?”
“Why would I let you do such a thing?”
“That is the best idea.” Your mother buds in, “You need rest.”
Ao’nung does a victory laugh, popping some berries in his mouth before hopping up and grabbing his weapons.
“Thank you, mother.” He says, “Tsireya, I will need your help setting up.”
You look at Tsireya, who is already slightly smiling at you, “You do look tired, sister.”
After the two left you finished up your breakfast and laid in your hammock, it was weird to be laying down at this time of day, you're usually already out beginning yours. But your mother insisted you rested and that it was important, especially with the days to come. It had taken you awhile, tossing and turning back and forth but a few moments later you were able to fall into your slumber.
You emerge from the water, calling for the figure in front of you. You had been following behind them for some time down, for some reason you were infuriated, your chest felt tight and you wanted nothing but to put your hands on them. Loc’s. Much shorter than yours and golden. Their hair swung in front of you as you followed behind them on the beach, blood dripping from their hands onto the sand. You called for the figure but it only ignored you, moving further away with each step you took. You screamed, throwing objects that only bounced back, not a scratch made. You fell to your knees, defeated, putting your head in your palms. Once your breathing regulated and you removed your hands, you were back on the rock. The same rock where the lifeless body and muffled faces and voices were.
“No. No, please. No, no, no.” You began to stammer.
“Wake up, my child.”
You screamed, jumping up from your sleep only to be taken into your mother's arms.
“Shh, my child.” Your mother soothes you, “They are only getting worse, which means it is near. You have the gift of a blessing and curse, my sweet child.”
“I do not want the gift.” You cried, “I know, but she has already chosen.” She rubs your back.
Your mother sat there and soothed you like you were a baby all over again, rocking you back and forth as she whispered prayers to you. She sat there with you until you calmed down, wiping your face full of tears for you.
“Now come, my child. Your father is about to make an announcement.” She wipes your face one last time before helping you out your hammock.
You walk out your pod to see the members of your clan gathering at where he usually holds all his meetings, you and your mother approached the crowd, making your way to stand by your father. Soon your siblings joined you, standing beside you confused on as to what was going on.
“I have a wonderful announcement to make.” Your father yells at the crowd, you knew what he was about to say but you couldn’t tell that he was genuinely happy, “My eldest daughter. Next powerful tsahìk! Is to be mated with Neteyam te Suli Tsyeyk’itan!”
Tsireya hugs your waist as Ao’nung looks at you, somewhat in disbelief but he saw it coming.
“That skxwang is family now.” You tease Ao’nung.
You looked in the crowd for him, his eyes were already on you when you found him, shooting you the biggest smile you’ve ever seen.
“Despite the good news, there are serious matters we must address.”
The smile dropped from your face, Tsireya’s grip loosened on you as she focused on what your father was saying.
“The sky people have killed one of our spirit sisters and her child!” Your father yells, “There is a war upon us, it is coming sooner than I thought. We will fight against the sky people!”
Your father went on, Jake soon joining him as the members of the clan chanted and yelled. Tsireya began to cry, head falling on her shoulder as you comforted her, sneaking in a few chants here and there.
“This is not the time to be scared, Tsireya. You have to be brave, strong.” You cuffed her face and she nods, tears still streaming down her face.
“You must go and prepare the healing pods.” Your mother approaches you and Tsireya, “Yes mother.” You comply, getting up quickly and running over towards the healing pod.
Once you entered the pod, you laid out a few mats and grabbed the medicine and ointment made out of herbs and set them up for easy use. A few minutes went by and as you were finishing setting up, you noticed commotion outside the tent. Yelling and bodies running back and forth, you jumped to your feet, rushing out the pod to see what was happening.
“Our kids are out there, we have to go. Now!” You heard Jake say before summoning a Ilu.
You heart began to pound out your chest as you ran to your pod, grabbing your spear and running to the water, calling for Eymei. You jumped on her and sped through the water, taking a different direction than everybody else was going. You quickly rode through the water, trying to locate your siblings. It didn’t take you long to find them, all of them except Kiri and Neteyam were tied to the boat.
“Come on, girl.” You spoke to Eymei, the two of you going deep underneath the water, getting as close to the boat as possible.
Up.
You and Eymei emerged from the surface, soaring up into the air. All eyes were on you as you yelled in midair, positioning your spear to kill. Your spear pierced right through the demon's chest as you landed, you pulled it out and threw it at the next one you saw. You spared nobody, killing each and every one who came in your sight. Once they were all gone, you put your spear back on your back in it’s holder and grab the knife from your thigh, running over to Tuk first, cutting her free. You proceeded down the line, cutting the material and pushing them to safety.
“Where is Kiri and Neteyam?” You yell at the group, “I have not seen them–” Lo’ak started.
The boys' sentence was cut short when the boat tilted in the opposite direction, causing all of you to slide. You grabbed ahold of Tuk, holding her tight in your arms. Your back crashed against something, taking most of the impact as the boat fell back into place. Just as you were about to get up and tell them to keep moving, they were being tied up again.
“Nice try.” A man says, snatching Tuk from you.
You jump to your feet, just to be restrained from behind. You struggled to free yourself as you notice the man getting rough with Ao’nung and Lo’ak.
“Do not fucking touch them!” You hissed, “You’re a feisty one, I see. This must be your brother, huh?” The man pulls his knife out.
You let out a horrifying scream, biting whoever restrained you.
“You bitch!” They had finally let go, you quickly stabbed them with the knife and made your way over towards the man, but he was on the ground within seconds, arrow in his head.
“Teyam!” Tuk yelled, looking at her brother who had just jumped up on the boat.
“Stealing my vocabulary,” He yells, looking over at you as he cut you guy’s siblings free, “I love it.”
“We have to leave, now!” You ignored Neteyam’s comment, gathering your siblings and Tuk.
“We have to save Spider, He’s in there.” Lo’ak yells, picking up the foreign weapon, “Lo’ak.” Neteyam sighs.
“We cannot leave him.”
Neteyam shakes his head and begins to walk with his brother.
“Neteyam!” You yelled from where you were about to exit, but he kept walking, “Neteyam! Do not!”
He whips around and runs towards you, the others were already in the water waiting for you to jump in.
“I will return, my love.” He assures you, “Please. Take our siblings to safely, I will meet you back on the island.”
“Neteyam, please.” You begged, and with that he pushes you off the boat, going to catch up with Lo’ak. He knew you’d try and stay and fight with him, and he didn’t want to risk anything.
You were furious with him as you plopped down into the water, but you snapped back to reality. You had a job to do, make sure your siblings and his were safe. You called for Eymei, as the rest called for more Ilu’s. You kept Tuk with you the whole time, leading the group.
As you continued to pass through, something blocked your way. Two of them. Some type of technology the sky people had created, you signal for the group to go over them, but they were quick, zooming at you. You made Tuk go with Ao’nung and Rotxo before taking your spear from its carrier, telling Eymei to move forward. You got as close as possible before throwing the spear through the shield that protected the demon, you pulled it out and looked for the other that had disappeared. You feel commotion behind you, quickly turning around to see the other quickly approaching you, shooting bullets in your direction.
Then blood. Not yours, not from the demon you were after. It came from below, your queue disconnected from Eymei’s as you began to sink lower into the water. The demon in front of you paused, studying your face and immediately became horrified from what he saw in front of him. You break the glass with your spear, aiming it right at his throat. Once the job was done, you look at the water below you, Eymei’s body slowly sinking down. You followed after her, trying any and everything to prevent the inevitable. She was already gone before you had even gotten to her, you let out a scream, bubbles forming all around you. Eymei has been with you since the beginning, she was the first you ever rode and now she was your last.
The hand on your back startled you for a moment, until Ao’nung appeared in front of you.
“Sister, we have to go.”
“Eymei.”
“I am sorry.” He looked down at Eymei then back to you, “But they have Tsireya, we have to leave.”
“What?!” You signed, looking in every direction for your little sister.
Rotxo handed you your spear and the four of you swam back to surface.
“You two, take Tuk! Get back to the island!” You yelled, “I cannot leave you out here!” Ao’nung argued.
“You will.”
Ao’nung wanted to argue with you on this one, he didn’t want to leave you out here alone, especially after what had just happened but the look you were giving him right now meant you weren’t having it with him.
“I see you, sister.” Ao’nung said, you were taken back for a short second, he hasn’t said it since you two were little, “I see you, Nung.” You shoot him a sad smile before turning the opposite way and diving under water.
You called for another Ilu, riding back towards the direction of where you came from. Eclipse was soon, and you began to panic, not only because you were about to lose your sight, but this is exactly how it went down in your occurring dream. You searched for any sign of anybody, it’s like you were stranded. You kept moving though, in hopes of finding your sister. Your journey was longer than you expected, and you feared you’d be too late by the time you finally reached her. Your mind was going in a million directions. Ao’nung, Rotxo and Tuk. Tsireya. Neteyam. You wish you all just stayed together during this whole thing, that you all went back after the incident on the boat. As much as it frustrated you, you have to push it down, and ignore it. For now. The only thing you needed to be worried about was finding Tsireya.
Eclipse had come, you were now under the water, swishing your way through. You felt useless at this point, slowing down because of the pain in your back. How were you supposed to protect when you cannot even find who you are supposed to be protecting? All you could do was ride, ride until you found something. And that’s what you did, though you weren’t expecting to find your brother, Rotxo and Tuk again, not after you told them to go back to the island. You jumped off the Ilu and swam down towards them, the three mesmerized by what was in front of them.
“I told you to go back.” You pull Ao’nung to look at you, “We found Kiri.” He signed back, pointing in front of you.
You were confused at first when you looked at the girl, trying to figure out exactly what she was doing. Then it hit you. Her gift. You knew she had one but couldn’t quite figure out what it was. All the girl had to do was move her hands and those same machines from earlier were tangled in the large sea anemones, you watched as the demons floated into the water, about to step in until they were being pulled into the anemone as well. It didn’t stop with them, more plopping down into the water out of nowhere, way too many for her to handle.
You swam in her direction, pulling your spear from your back once again, you found it easier to get closer to them but that didn’t work this time. The machine clamping onto your leg and pulling you down, it almost felt like they were trying to rip it off. You struggled to get a good aim at what was pulling you, beginning to pull you in the opposite direction. Ao’nung tried to swim after you, but the machine was moving too fast, Kiri finally noticed what was happening, sending the machine crashing into the nearest rock. Your body jerked due to the sudden impact, but the grip on your leg finally loosened. Ao’nung was able to reach you, putting your arm over his shoulder as he pulled you up.
“Your leg.” He signed, “We have to get you back.”
You look down at your bruised leg, it even hurt to move it but you weren’t going back.
“I will go back when I find Tsireya and I know that the others are okay.”
Ao’nung shook his head in frustration, he thought he was the stubborn one. He pulled up you up to the surface, pulling you to go with him.
“I will not let you kill your self!” He yelled, “Ao’nung, I will not tell you again. Go. I do not know what I would do with myself if something happened you. Either of you.” You look in between him and Rotxo.
He was about to speak up but a loud explosion cut him off, a big fire appearing above the water.
“Go now.” You pushed him, before diving back under to Kiri and Tuk.
You told them the direction to go, slowly but surely following behind the two. Your leg was slowing you down, so was your back but you continued to swim. As you three approached the boat, ready to see whatever was going on, it collapsed. Somehow it managed to flip, multiple bodies falling into the water, soon being stuck underneath the boat.
Oh, great mother.
It was always something setting you back from doing the one thing you needed to do. You swam down to the glowing part of the water, grabbing the Txampaysye and attaching it to Tuk’s back to provide oxygen for her, Kiri took it upon herself to attach one to her back as you did the same. Just in case you ran into anybody who needed it more than you. You motioned for the two to come to you, but Kiri was too caught up in the little glowing fish.
“I think I can do something with them. Go, I will find you.”
Tuk stayed with Kiri as you made your way towards the boat, looking for an entrance. You were able to pull some things apart, breaking your way in. You swam, and swam, holding onto things trying to keep you going. More of the boat began to collapse, you noticed the water began to rise even more as the boat sunk.
You noticed a slender torso struggling to stay above the surface, legs kicking for a minute until they stopped completely. You pull yourself using the broken pieces of whatever, you didn’t have long. You were losing your strength. You reached the body, soon recognizing it to be Neytiri, the familiar beaded clothing catching your eye.
“Take this.” You emerged to the water, startling her a bit in the process, you take the Txampaysye and attached it to her back, “It will help you breathe under water.”
You grab her hand and pull her underneath the water, guiding her in the direction you had come from. Or at least where you thought you came from, your mind was beginning to scramble, your body becoming weaker and weaker every time you moved. Neytiri looked at you with concern, grabbing your shoulder to stop you from moving.
“I am okay.”
Your signing didn’t go through to her, she furrowed her eyebrows at you and shook her head. You shook it off, assuring her that you were fine as you continued to swim in the water, trying to find any way out. Just as you were about to give up your search, the same little glowing fish from earlier started to appear, Kiri and Tuk appearing behind them. You smiled, letting Neytiri go in front of you to reunite with her daughters. Though you smiled, you wished it could’ve been you. Reuniting with your sister, who’ve you yet to find.
You guys follow Kiri out of the sinking ship, going out to the clear where you could go back to the surface.
“Thank you.” Was the first thing Neytiri said to you, hand cupping your cheek as she looked at you, almost like she wanted to cry, “You need to head back now, you are hurt.”
Your eyes swelled with tears; you knew you couldn’t go on any longer. Your body was giving up on you, you ached terribly.
“I have to find my sister.”
“She is fine, with Lo’ak.” She nods, “Please, go.”
You felt a wave of relief over your body, knowing your sister was safe. You nodded at Neytiri, obeying her orders and you called for an Ilu. They helped you on, making sure you were fine before you began to ride off.
Dawn was approaching, your mind was so scrambled, it’s like time wasn’t real at the moment. Everything had happened so fast, it was starting to mash all together, leaving you in a dazed state. You began to slow down on the Ilu, leaning forward on it, trying to allow your body to rest. Your head was against it’s, floating through the water, eyes fluttering as you looked at the waves hit the rocks ahead of you.
You almost drifted into a slumber, it’s truly what your body needed but your eyes opened when you saw commotion on the rock ahead of you. You squinted your eyes, slowly moving forward to see what was going on. Golden loc’s, much shorter than yours, pulling the dream walker out the water. The same man that had started this great war, the demon had saved him. You weren’t close enough to hear what they were saying to each other, their conversation being cut short as the demon jumped into the water and the dream walker flying off on a Ikran.
You sunk down into the water, following stealthily behind the boy, who was swimming quite fast. You lazily pulled your spear from your back, easing up on the boy as he approached a rock. You hopped off the Ilu, swimming up to the rock, pulling yourself up with your spear still in your hand, ready to aim at the boy. Your actions faltered at the sight in front of you, dropping your spear as you slowly approached.
“Nete, no.”
This wasn’t real. You wished you were hallucinating, digging your fingernails into the palm of your hand, trying to wake yourself up. But you weren’t dreaming, this was all real. You dropped to your knees, not caring about adding on to the injures of your leg. You grabbed his cold hand, holding it as close to your heart as possible as you began to sob.
“Ma yawne, please.” You begged, grabbing his lifeless body in your arms, beginning to rock back and forth, “Neteyam!”
This wasn’t how this was supposed to go. You were supposed to meet him back at the island, meet him back there and continue on with your lives together. He promised he would return to you, and he didn’t. So, this was it. This is what has been haunting your mind. You knew, and you still couldn’t prevent it from happening. Your sobs turned into incoherent screams, stammering the boys' name, looking into the boys golden eyes that weren’t glowing like they usually do. They were just there, soulless. You took it upon yourself to close them, squeezing your eyes shut as you continued to rock his body back and forth.
“I have failed you, ma Nete.” You whispered to him, “And I am so sorry.”
“Hey…” The foreign feeling on your shoulder made your blood turn cold, snapping your head around to see that the demon boy had his hand on your shoulder, “I’m s-”
You viscously hissed at the boy, your fangs on full display for him to see. He backed up with his hands up in defense, Jake stared at you confused as he welcomed the boy back in his arms.
“Sister.” Tsireya softly says from behind you, you felt terrible for not even acknowledging her, but you couldn’t seem to let go of Neteyam, you cradle the boy in one of your hands and use the free one to grab hers.
“It’s time to let go.” You hear Jake tell you and you pull your head up, shaking it in denial, “You’re bleeding.” He stated, thinking that would make you move quicker.
“Let me.” Was all you said.
You didn’t realize how bad it was, you didn’t see your bruised up body that was now bleeding terribly. You felt numb. Jake signaled for Neytiri to grab you, which she did, holding you in her arms as you cried because you didn’t want to let go. You placed a quick peck on his forehead before she pulled you up, trying to comfort and restrain you at the same time. She called for her Ikran, pulling you up with her as she began to fly back towards the Island, the last thing you see being your lover's body laying lifeless on the rock.
Your eyes fluttered opened, blinking a few times to adjust to the lighting. You lifted your head, looking around where you were at, the healing pod. You tried to lift yourself up but failed terribly.
“Do not try to get up by yourself.” You heard your mothers voice, “You must have someone to help you.”
Soon strong arms were helping you sit up, your father holding you close.
“You are brave, my daughter. You make me proud.” Your father says, rubbing your back that continue to ache, “And I ask extremely sorry that this has happened to you.”
“I am fine, father.” You were in complete denial, because in reality you were fine at all, “I want to see him.”
“Come then, you have woken up just in time.” Your mother grabs your arm, helping you up, “First, you must put this on.” She drapes a combination of net and seashells over your body, similar to hers.
She held you up as you limped out the pod, walking out onto the beach. Eclipse was almost here again; you had slept the entire day. You and your mother continue walking over towards their pod, you eventually removed your mothers' hand from you, but she was still close by, making sure you didn’t hurt yourself. You reached the front, peeking your head in at the family.
Neytiri noticed you first, quickly standing up to greet you, she stood in front of you, dipping her fingers into the white paint and smearing it across your face and down your neck.
“You are my family now; I am forever grateful for you.”
You couldn’t even bring yourself to speak, only sadly smiling at her. Your mother left you with the family, letting you participate in the ceremony. You walked out the pod with his siblings, you all call for Ilu’s as you got in the water. You rode with Kiri, her refusing to let you try and ride alone. Tuk rode with Lo’ak and the demon boy who made your blood boil every time you saw him, but you didn’t have the energy. Not right now.
You reached the cove of ancestors, memories flooding through your mind already. You tried to block them out, but that only made more come. Kiri helped you off the Ilu, being in the water helped you a little more, being able to keep yourself up. The members of the clan were already gathered behind you, torched tikis in their hands. Tears began to swell up in your eyes as you saw Neytiri and Jake making their way towards the cove, pulling Neteyam with them. You couldn’t even the bare the sight, your heart ached. You dropped your head to look at the water below you, Lo’ak noticed your state, something he’s never seen before from you. Vulnerability. You were always so strong, stern, mean, even scary at times. This was different. He grabbed your hand, squeezing it to let you know he was there for you. You began to squeeze his even tighter when his brother appeared in front of you, touching him one last time with your free hands before he slid off the leaf.
You shook your head, popping your head out the water, refusing to watch. You let go of Lo’ak’s hand, swimming over to your siblings who stood behind you. Ao’nung immediately pulled you into his arms, he hated to see you, his big sister, the second most fearless woman he knew in a state like this, you were never vulnerable. Not in public in front of all of the clan members at least. You grab Tsireya’s hand before you putting your head down, quietly sobbing as your little brother held onto you.
The days had gone by, while everybody else’s have seemed to have gotten easier, yours have gotten worse. You haven’t returned to your pod in days, maybe even weeks. Your parents, siblings, everybody really worried for you. They knew you were somewhere close, not too worried about your safety. But you, yourself. This was not like you, you were not the type to isolate yourself from you people like this.
You spent day and night bouncing between the cove of ancestors and the spot you two had once shared. You asked the great mother every day, why? You refused to to believe that it was his time, that this was the plan she had made out for you two. Why did she bring you two together? Why had you waited for him. She drew you two together just to pull you apart. You sat in the same spot where you two had sat together only two days ago, thinking about the conversations you had shared. All the things you said you would do together, see together, experience together, would never happen. Just when you had found somebody, who understood you, cared for you, yearned for you as much as you yearned for them, he was gone. Just like that. And you couldn’t even wrap your head around it.
Maybe all the time alone is what was getting to you, instead of surrounding yourself by your family, you decided to isolate. You know that’s not what he would want you to do, he would want you to talk to somebody, in order for them to help you. One thing he was notorious for, urging you to talk so that you would get the help you needed. You stood from the spot, calling for the Ilu as you jumped into the water. You rode through the cove, usually you had avoided going the way you had last seen Neteyam, but you were finally able to, passing the glowing yellow anemones. There was barely anybody out when you reached the island, which was good for you because you didn’t want to answer any questions right now. You know it was wrong of you, but your feet went in the opposite direction of your family’s pod, instead you walked over to the people who are now a second family to you. They haven’t seen you since the ceremony, so you appearing at the front of their pod caught them off guard.
“Oh!” Neytiri gasped, making her way towards you, “Where have you been?! Your family is worried.” She brings you into a hug.
“Around.”
She brings you in the pod, looking over your body for any injuries and such. Kiri and Tuk came over to hug you, almost pulling you to the floor.
“You need to eat something.” Jake demanded, quickly fixing you something and pushing it towards you, “I am not hungry, I actually came here to ask if I could borrow Lo’ak for a moment.” You looked over at Lo’ak, who sat there confused.
Jake looks at the boy, and to Neytiri before looking back at you, “Don’t be out too late.”
You nodded, thanking the man before detaching yourself from the sisters and walking out the pod with Lo’ak, who was still confused on as to why you requested him. You didn’t speak, scared to tell him where you were leading him in fear that he would decline.
“When are you coming home?” He asked from behind you, “I am always home.” You replied, walking into the water.
“Tsireya misses you, and she worries.”
His words broke your heart even more, “I have been selfish, I know. I just needed time.”
He didn’t say anything after that, just following you on the Ilu he had summoned. When you two reached the Cove, Lo’ak knew exactly what you were here for.
“No, I d—”
“I cannot do this alone.” You turned and looked at him, “Please, Lo’ak.”
He lets out a deep sigh, nodding his head, “But I just want to see him, I can’t talk to him. Not yet.”
You nod your head at him, jumping off the Ilu and swimming down to the spirit tree. You were just here with him, now you are here to visit…You grabbed your queue, slowly bringing it up to the tree to intertwine with one another. You smile slightly, as your eyes fluttered shut.
You appeared on the path in the forest, of course. You followed it, slowly walking to the glowing pond. And there he was, sitting with his feet in the water.
“Nete?”
His head swung around, smile instantly spreading across his face, “It is about time you showed up.”
You smiled at the boy, sitting down next to him, his arm immediately wrapping around your body, pulling you into him. Oh, have you missed his touch. You just sat there, listening to him ramble, taking in the moment.
“Why are you so quiet?” He looked at you.
You shake your head, “I just—I do not have any words.” A tear fell from your eye.
“My love, why are you crying?” He pulls you out his embrace to see your face, “I have just missed you, that is all.” You try and stop yourself from crying.
“Do not act so deprived of me, you see me everyday.” He mocks you, wiping the tears from your face as you let out a laugh.
“You are right, idiot boy.”
And just like that, your eyes fluttered open, your queue disconnecting from the tree. You smiled, a big relief taking over you. Though this being your only form of communication with him, he was right, you do see him every day. He was always with you. You touched the single piece of your hair that had the two beads on it, blue and gold. Always together.
You and Lo’ak swam back to your island, not wanting him to get in trouble with his parents. You parted ways with him on the beach, walking to your pod, quietly opening the flap and sneaking in. You looked around at your family, who was fast asleep in their hammocks. You regretted leaving them for these past couple weeks, especially your siblings. You slipped into your hammock, going to pull it over you.
“I knew you would return soon.” Your mother’s voice spoke, startling you, “We have missed you, daughter.”
“I am sorry.”
“Do not apologize.” She shushes you, “You are to grieve however you may like, a process like this takes time.”
“Thank you.”
“Do not thank me, my child. It is my job.” She says, “Now get your rest, I am sure your siblings will be happy to see you.”
You pulled your hammock over you, holding yourself in your arms as you attempted to get some rest.
A body crashing into yours woke you up out your sleep, the two of you flipping onto the hard floor of the pod. You were about to go into defense mode until you realized who was on top of you, Tsireya.
“Where have you been?!” She semi scolded you, “You had me worried, sister.”
You two stood, you ignored her question, pulling her into a tight hug.
“She is back now, that is all that matters.” Ao’nung’s voice said from behind you, wrapping his arms around you and Tsireya.
Your parents had already left to do their morning duties, so you and your siblings took it upon yourselves that it was only right to eat your breakfast on the beach. You all didn’t sit at your usual spot on the rocks, but in the sand, closer to everyone. Tsireya laid out the fruit as you all sat gathered together, catching each other up on the past weeks. You started to zone out when you saw the familiar face that you hated to see, following behind Kiri and Tuk in the distance.
The anger you felt when you saw those golden loc’s was almost scary, your mind was telling you no, but your body yearned for violence. Revenge.
“Are you even listening to me?!” Ao’nung waved his hand in front of your face, “Sorry. What were you saying, ‘Nung?”
“I met a girl! Ìnaha!” He began to get frustrated you, only because you weren’t listening to him.
“That is good.” You nodded, still looking at the demon ahead of you. You snapped out of it, bringing your attention back to Ao’nung, “How did you get a girl to fall for a skxwang like you?”
Ao’nung followed to where your eyes were then looked back at you, “Why do you keep looking over there?”
You dropped your head, looking at your hand as you played with the sand, scooping it up and pouring it back.
“What is on your mind, sister?” Tsireya’s hand met your knee.
“I want him gone or I will kill him.” You blankly say, dropping the sand once again. Tsireya removed her hand from you, taken back at what you had said.
“What? Who?!” Ao’nung couldn’t believe you had just said that so casually.
“That demon who our clan has wrongfully accepted.” You seethed.
“He has done nothing wrong! You were the who taught that we must accept others who are different from us!” Tsireya argued.
“He saved the demon that caused all of this, I watched him do it!” You slightly yelled, quickly regaining your composure. You weren’t mad at them, just the situation, “He is the reason Neteyam is gone, Neteyam went to save him. Now he is gone! If he does not leave soon I am going to kill him, and nobody will change my mind.”

Sorry for such a long gap, I had a crippling bout of writer’s block and then it was suddenly a month later. But I’m pleased to announce I haven’t forgotten how to write :)
Tumblr media
You look down warily at the creature scratching at the base of the tree you’re perched in.
This little guy is nothing like that one scary hexopard etched in your memory- the one that supplied the material for your beloved winter cloak.
You sigh at the sight of the creature’s plush fur. You left that cloak behind when you fled the settlement, despite it being one of your favorite belongings. It just didn't feel right to take it with you after… everything… but the biting cold is really making you wish you had caved and brought it along anyway.
This smaller hexopard’s scavenging around for food at its leisure, driven to snack on anything it can get its hands on easily to bulk up for the coming hibernation, but it’s not in a hurry.
Because it’s not currently driven mad by post-hibernation hunger and aggression, you can probably distract it enough that it won’t view you as a tasty morsel to snack on and you’ll be able to slip away. You just need something enticing enough to hold its interest…
Then, looking down at its twitching nose, you realize that its sensitive sense of smell has probably picked up on the dried venison jerky in your pack. Your theory is all but confirmed when you pull out the pouch where your rations are from within, and you swear you can see its eyes light up.
“Alright, buddy. Follow these and not me, okay?” You say, looking for a good place to toss them. Then, you wind up your arm as best you can in your position, and chuck the pouch into the woods in the opposite direction.
The hexopard immediately lets off the tree and lumbers after the pouch, tail swishing behind it as it loudly crashes unbidden through the underbrush.
After a few moments of observation, you slip down the tree gingerly, hoping to not become more interesting than the alluring scent of dried meat. When you get to the bottom, you’re relieved to see the creature so fully engrossed in your ration pouch that you might as well not exist any longer, its snout fully covered as it roots in the opening of the leather. You sneak off quietly while you still have the chance.
Once you get far enough away, you resume your trek at a faster pace. After another hour or so of traveling, you grin from ear to fluffy ear as the sight of the river comes into view.
Salvation.
Your pace picks up without you even thinking about it, your morale boosted by something going right for once. Your tail curls behind you in a delight.
You’re not exactly thrilled at having to give up your only food supplies; yet you’re alive and no longer lost, and that seems like a pretty good trade-off.
Now, all that’s left is to follow the river back to town. Then, this whole ordeal will be over. You’ll be back to your old life, though now enjoying the increase in station in the guild pulling off such a momentous task surely will earn you. Who knows, maybe they’ll even splurge on a feast to celebrate!
Now that does sound good right now.
Think about something else, you urge yourself. You need to force yourself to stop, lest your mouth start watering. Anything else… The grumbling of your stomach is distracting enough already.
But it’s no use, you’ve fallen down the mental rabbit hole, and now only thinking of all the things you’d like to eat when you get back. You’re swept up in thoughts of whole roasted suckling pig and honeyed chestnut sweetbread… braised venison with cherry glaze and grilled root vegetables… seeded crackers with soft cheese and over-slathered with homemade berry jam…
Hell, you’ll even take marinated eggs right now…
You wipe your mouth on your sleeve. It takes you a moment for it to sink in, but those are all things that you’ve been eating at the stronghold that you’re craving, not things you miss from home. All of your memories of food you miss from the past are so fuzzy. It’s hard to remember anything of note, past vague, smeared memories of nostalgic meals you ate when you were very young.
And when you get back… you probably won’t eat Orcish food again. At least not for a while.
It’s… fine.
You’ll be home, soon. And you won’t have to think about any of this ever again.
LAST SPRING
“Surely there’s something I can help you with.” Your tail swishes in agitation behind you, a clearly visible indicator of your emotional state. “You’re just being difficult.”
“Urgh- Don’t you have something better to do than bug me?” Torg rumbles, running his good hand down his face in annoyance. "Work to finish? Anything?"
His arm is still in a sling from the hunting incident. And true to his nature, he's being an absolute ass about accepting any help.
"I've already filled my quota today." You say smugly, hands planted on your hips. It's one of the rare days you've finished early and without incident, and you're quite pleased with yourself about it.
"Good, you should be off enjoying the nice weather while it’s here, rather than nagging me in this stuffy office."
"Just let me help you, you stubborn oaf!" You lean over the desk, slapping your hands down on the papers in front of him. Your loosely laced shirt hangs off you a bit with the movement. The new clothes you had made for the warm weather don’t quite fit you as close as you typically wear your shirts- the tailors here still aren’t quite used to your non-orc proportions.
Torg simply stares down at you in perturbed silence. You’ve gotten much more comfortable with the way you communicate with Torg since the hunting trip, but he is your superior. For a moment, you wonder if you’ve gone too far..
"...Torg?"
"...Fine." He grumbles, now looking at anything but you.
He really must be prideful if accepting your help makes him this uncomfortable…
"Shop taxes are due, but I don't think I'll have time to visit each one today." He makes a list of names on a sheet of paper. "You can knock out some of the collections for me."
"You're trusting me with handling funds?" You scoff.
"When you put it like that you're really making me second guess it." He chuckles, but slides the paper across to you nonetheless. "But I do trust you, if you can believe it. They'll already have the gold ready in pouches. You just have to collect them and bring them back here."
"Alright. Leave it to me." You take the paper with a grin, filled with a sense of victory at having convinced him to let you help.
He grunts and goes back to what he was doing.
You can barely refrain from rubbing your hands together in glee on your way out. If the big man of the settlement trusts you with funds of all things, it looks like you're making progress towards your goal. Maybe having a reason to poke around more shops will give you more of an idea of where the item you're looking for is…
The first stop is close enough: a short walk to the tailor's shop, nearby in the middle of the settlement.
"Good afternoon ladies!" You say cheerily as you enter the colorful shop. Granny Ghorza is taking a break from her loom, sweeping the floor instead. She's become one of your favorite orcs here; she’s a funny old bat and makes the best sweets in the whole settlement, to boot. "The good looks must really run in the family."
Her young adult granddaughter manning the counter balks a little at the blatant flirting, but gives you a courteous smile. She's a nice enough woman, though shy and a bit forgettable. Her name eludes you at the moment…
"Mmhm, and how are your new spring shirts fitting dearie? I might have to add some modesty stitches if you're going to wear it unlaced like that, ohohoh!" She cackles, using the broom handle to pull at the front of your partially open, billowy shirt. "Looks a little breezy, you might catch a cold- or worse, someone’s attention, eheheh!”
"Ahah- They fit perfectly fine, thank you!" You act scandalized, pinching the gaping collar closed and pressing the broom handle away, before you turn to approach the counter.
"Um, what brings you here today? I don't think you have any orders waiting to be picked up..." Ghorza's granddaughter says meekly with a polite smile, looking through the ledger book at the counter. "Your items are… hard to forget, since they don't use up much fabric…"
"Ah, I'm here to collect your tax dues." You explain. "Since Boss is still healing."
"Oh. So… He isn't coming today, then…?" The young woman asks, in a curiously forlorn tone.
"Afraid not. Though, I assure you I am perfectly capable of safely transporting a gold pouch." You say and let out a friendly laugh.
"I see, I see. About time the man let someone give him a hand once in a while." Ghorza gives you a toothless smile. "Would you be a dear get him the dues, Murgol? The pouch is ready in the top drawer."
Murgol twists the hem of her shirt in her hands in displeasure, looking like she's about to break into tears at any moment. Then her lip quivers, and she unceremoniously flees the room, sniffling.
There’s an awkward moment of silence that seems to stretch out far too long for your liking before Ghorza speaks again.
"Mmgh, that girl…" Ghorza shakes her head in reproach.
"Is she… going to be alright?" Clearly something upset her quite badly, but you don't think you said anything that egregious… "I hope I didn't offend her…?"
"Oh, don't worry about it. She's sensitive when things don't go her way, but she'll live." She shuffles behind the counter, hobbling into her granddaughter's previous spot. "Let me get you the gold, dearie."
You leave the tailor shop, eating a slice of candied apricot-studded sweetbread that Ghorza definitely forced on you and you only took because you were guilted into taking. You scratch the tailor’s family name off your list as you reflect on the strange interaction with the seamstresses.
You like to think you're quite astute when it comes to social intelligence, but you just can't put your finger on what may have been the trigger of her outburst.
Oh well. Perhaps she's just going through something personal?
You put the interaction out of your mind and head to the next place on your list.
You walk into the blacksmith's next. Luckily she doesn't seem to be too busy as the shop is currently devoid of customers, with her hammering out something at the anvil.
You’ve been friendly with her ever since prepping for the hunting trip. Apparently Lurog and her are good friends, and she was kind enough to let you use her shop to create the arrowheads you needed for your trial. You buy them directly from her now, chatting a while every time you come to replenish your supply.
"Hello Burzgob," You speak up so she can hear above the metal clanking. "Amazing job you're doing there."
“Thanks, little guy. I'm guessing you're not here to buy? Don’t think you used up all those arrowheads from the other day already. …At least I hope."
"Nope, I'm here to collect tax dues. I'm helping Boss out since he's still injured. Two hands better than one, or so they say."
She guffaws, setting the hammer down and pulling her gloves off before wiping her hands on her apron.
"Oh, damn. I was expecting him to be the one to drop by." She rubs her cheek with the back of her hand, still managing to smear soot there as well. “Bummer.”
"Spirits, you're not the first to feel that way today!" You say in exasperation. "I'm starting to think no one wants to see me…"
"Hahah! Nothing personal, trust me!" She grins and pats your shoulder, getting soot on your shirt as well. "Had something I needed to ask him."
"Oh, I see." You nod, and without missing a beat, nonchalantly add; "About what?"
"Hah! So nosy! Sorry, little guy. I like you, but it's a secret."
"Drat. Well, I tried…" You let out a performative sigh and shrug.
"Hey, uh… you're pretty close with Boss though, right?"
…Are you…?
You hadn't really considered it before, but over the course of training and especially after the hunting trip, you've definitely gotten used to his presence. You have something akin to a friendship now; or at least, what must look like one from a spectator's point of view. He’s quick to help you with anything, but he seems to be that way with all of the people in his charge. Though, at the very least, he trusts you enough to let you help him with this task, when asking for help with his own tasks seems to be something he does very seldomly..
"I suppose you could say that." You conclude.
"Can you deliver something to him for me, since you're going back there anyway?"
"Sure, I don't see why not."
"Great! I owe you one, bud." Burzgob's face lights up as she grins, the silver caps on her tusks glinting. She returns and hands you a tied bundle with a letter tucked under the string. It smells like perfume. "Uh, promise you won’t read it, okay?"
You fervently promise you won’t, then bid her goodbye and leave the blacksmith's.
You have a similar experience at the tanner's, then the baker’s… and then the chandler’s…
Somehow, this seemingly easy task has left you feeling like a withered corpse. Luckily for you, however, seeing which family runs the last business on the list fills you with a sense of ease.
The shop bell jingles as you enter, and you’re immediately awash with the pleasant scent of soap, as well as a heady mix of any sort of cosmetic salve, wax or powder you can think up.
Your self care routine took a little adjustment, being out in the wilds, now. So many of their products were completely foreign to you at first. But despite the slight learning curve, you’ve honestly never felt better. You weren’t exactly taking the best care of yourself while hopping from flophouse to flophouse that belonged to your guild; you barely had the resources to keep yourself fed, let alone buying overpriced soaps and perfumes. But here, things aren’t too expensive, despite being handmade and about as locally sourced as something can be.
Lurog is sitting behind the counter of her family's salon, seemingly counting out the till while the shop is closing down for the evening around her.
"Hey." If she's surprised to see you, she doesn't show it. "We're closed. But if you want your hair done I can do it for you when I'm done here."
"Oh, is that Boss?" You hear one of Lurog's several younger sisters call out from farther inside the shop.
"Is he finally here?!" Another one chimes in and peeks her head around the divider.
"No! False alarm." A third one sweeping her station sighs. "Just the little kitty cat."
You quirk an eyebrow at the reception, but everyone but Lurog has gone back to chatting over their tasks.
"I might just take you up on that offer, I'm getting a little scraggly… Not what I'm here for, though. Boss sent me to collect your dues."
Lurog nods in understanding, but your attention is on the loud, spirited gossiping in the shop behind her as the women discuss their displeasure at this development amongst themselves.
"Don't mind them." Lurog shakes her head in admonishment. "They're just mad because they wanted the chance to flirt with Boss."
“Flirt?” You scoff. “Taxes really get their motors running, huh?”
“Hah.” Lurog rolls her eyes. “No, they’re just all desperate to find men to torment.”
"Oh." You say, wheels starting to turn in your head. "Do you think that's what's going on with everywhere else I've stopped today too…?"
"Wouldn't doubt it. Boss would be a catch for a lot of the women in the stronghold." Lurog says simply, retrieving the gold pouch and sliding it to you over the counter. "Midsummer festival's coming up. Big time for romance. But Boss is either real picky or just not into it. Hasn’t taken any of them up on the offer yet… But he also hasn’t explicitly turned anyone down.”
“Ah, but then… Why are they all still asking? Wouldn’t he just ask who he’d like to and be done with it, if he wanted to court anyone?”
“Because with orcs it’s up to the one that’s gonna be taking it-“ She smirks and makes an incredibly crude gesture with her hands. “To ask to start the courtship, or whatever you wanna call it.”
“Really now?” You feel your eyebrows raise in curiosity. “Why is that?”
“Unh-uh.” Lurog shrugs. ”Just how we do it, I guess."
Well, that certainly explains why you haven’t been getting invitations to share anyone’s bed, despite being as gorgeous and alluring as you are. What would a full-fledged orc want from you, with so many massive, hunky orc men around to choose from?
But that means you have the power to try to lure a man in.
Hmm… if you were to ask out one of the right orcs, you might have better access to off limits areas for your search…
Lurog must notice the spark of an idea in your eye of how to use your newfound power, because she quickly adds; "You should wait until the festival to harass any men. Better success rate."
“You know, you’re actually very helpful when you want to be.” You grin at her. “It’s a shame you don’t often want to be.”
“Thanks.” She snorts in a deadpan tone. “I wish I could say the same.”
You finish your friendly ribbing with Lurog, more than ready to haul back the large rucksack of gold and the almost nearly as large, cumbersome pile of offerings for Torg, and be done with this task.
You can't help but get into your own head about what's happened during this excursion while you make your way back. You can feel the irritation growing the more you dwell on it, your tail twitching behind you.
All of the shop owners on your list were women. Specifically, women that seem to be interested in Torg. It seems far too unlikely to be a coincidence- you doubt that many of the shops in the settlement are run by eligible women fawning over Torg.
More importantly, why does it upset you so much?
Jealousy…?  Because you’re lonely?
It must be that- because he apparently has a queue of women asking to court him when none of the male orcs in the settlement even look at you twice.
…Right. That must be all it is.
You're still a bit grumpy about it as you return to Torg's office.
"Here you are." You set down the pack with the gold pouches inside and the bundle of gifts on his desk with a heavy sigh.
"Thanks for the help." He says, then noticing your clearly negative mood, he looks up from his task. "I hope it wasn't too much of a pain."
"No, it was easy enough.” You grumble, and go on to quip as you nonchalantly examine your cuticles; “Though… if you wanted me to host a meeting of your fanclub, you could've just asked."
"That bad?" He looks genuinely sheepish, scratching the edge of his beard.
"It was pretty bad." You put your hands on your hips, deciding that you'll give him a bit more of a hard time. "A lot of disappointed ladies giving me shit for not being you."
"I'm sorry. If I knew it would bother you, I wouldn't have given you that task."
"Apology accepted, but it seems…” You make a noise in disgust. “A tad unkind to lead so many people on like this, doesn’t it? It's not like you at all."
"I'm- Ugh. I'm not leading anyone on. At least I'm not trying to-" He runs a hand through his hair in discomfort. "I am Chieftain, I can't have so many of my people holding a grudge against me for rejecting them romantically. It would be disruptive, so I thought it would be best for me to just ignore any of these crushes some of the younger women have on me."
"It must be difficult being so popular with the ladies…" You say dryly.
"Hey, poke fun all you want, but it can be. Someone will be hurt regardless of what choice I make."
"Why not… Oh, I don’t know… pick one, then, and get it over with? Then the ones you don't pick can accept it and move on, rather than holding onto false hope."
"It's not that simple…"
"It sure seems like it is!" You chuckle. "How is it not the simplest thing?"
"Because I am not interested in any of them."
"You're telling me you have your pick of half of the young, gorgeous Orcish women in this stronghold throwing themselves at your feet," You lean over the desk and gesture to the bag of offerings on his desk. "And not one of them meets your standards?"
"No." He says heavily, clearly weary from the ongoing nature of this conversation. “Are you satisfied? Can you end this interrogation now?”
"...Okay." You relent, incredulous, but still accept his words. You've grilled him enough, you suppose.
A small smile has taken up residence on your face.  Did you really enjoy hassling him that much…?

Note
ok heres a happy au. Lullaby hypno went to resupply his berries and fruits then he encounter an casket and saw a abandoned baby with a note, he read the note it said "please take care my child" and he thought for a while and decided to take care the baby "I’m gonna take care of you....... y/n". years later y/n with their adopted father lullaby hypno they got some new abilities like able understand pokemon language thanks to lullaby hypno psychic. y/n wanna try to become a pokemon champion [insert region] and lullaby hypno saw his adoptive kid determination eye and reminds of alexis and decided to fulfilled alexis dream. many long traveling and gym battles then elite 4 y/n successfully become the champion of [insert region] lullaby hypno is happy crying that he was able to fulfilled alexis dream then at the background as a ghost she was happy smile to him "thank you so much to achieve our dream..... Adopted grandkid and hypno"
Hypno hummed a small tune to himself as he wandered through the forest. It was dark--a prime time for hunting down potential victims who were trespassing, but instead he was searching for fresh berries and fruits.
Of course, he mostly feasted on the dreams of humans and Pokémon, but sometimes it's nice to actually eat something. It helps him bounce back in case he got burned or paralysis from a random attack.
Oran berries were especially plentiful around this time of year, so he had to take full advantage of that!
But after finding the perfect tree and picking every last berry off of it, he was about to return home when...he heard a strange sound.
His ears twitched, trying to determine where it was coming from and who or what exactly made that noise.
Then he heard it again.
It sounded like a small cry. Not of a Cubone or Phantump...but a human child, and it was coming from the direction of his home.
Grinning, he quickly headed back to the cavern, thinking that this lost soul was going to have sweet nightmares for him to consume. They were probably so very lost and scared; how he couldn't wait to lead them astray before putting them to sleep forever.
But upon arrival, he didn't immediately see any lost kid or trainer. Instead there was a small cradle made from wicker in front of him, the opening covered by a thin sheet. He wondered if this was some offering made to appease him.
That would be quite generous.
Curious, he kneeled down and removed the sheet, only to nearly drop his basket in shock upon discovering that...
An infant was inside, their tiny body wrapped in cloth.
As his soulless black eyes gazed down at them, they didn't seem to be upset or stressed. Rather, they cooed and made grabbing motions with their hands, reaching out to him.
Least to say...Hypno didn't know what to make of this.
Who in their right mind would abandon their child like this? Did the parent surrender them as some sacrifice?
Even though he hated most humans...he knew this was wrong. It just reminded him of how cruel and hateful they could be towards each other, not just their Pokémon..
But he then found the answer to his questions in the form of a note that nearly blew away when the wind picked up speed. He managed to bring it back to him with psychic energy, examining it closely:
"Please take care of my child."
That was it. No name attached to it. No reason why.
They probably assumed this cave was a human settlement and not the infamous terrifying Talking Pokémon's.
'Well, there's no point to finding them..' Hypno levitated the cradle and gazed into the innocent eyes of this child for several long moments. They simply stared right back at him with a smile and a giggle, no fear.
".....fine, you've won me over." Sighing in defeat, he decided to honor the mysterious stranger's wishes...as he couldn't just abandon their infant now.
While they didn't have a name, he decided on that fairly quickly, too.
"Well, I guess I'll be taking care of you from now on......[y/n]."
...........
Many years have passed since the overgrown Hypno decided to adopt you that fateful night, raising you as his child.
And you've aged into a person well-versed in both human and Pokémon language thanks to him relaying some of his psychic power to you. He knew you'd need it if you wanted to survive out there when you're all grown up.
It's certainly helped you make a lot of new friends! From the mischievous Gastlys to the feisty Spearows..you've made strong connections with them. But of course you'd always speak to Hypno the most.
You've already gotten the talk about how he found you, but you've come to terms with it, reassuring him that you still loved him as a father either way.
Obviously with him caring for you..that meant he had to stop abducting children, leaving his pendulum with you so he wasn't tempted to hypnotize somebody with it whenever he went out.
He couldn't go back to being the monster he once was. He couldn't let you ever see that after you've put so much trust in him..
Though when you finally reached the age where most kids wanted to become Pokémon trainers, Hypno tried to discourage you from following that tradition. He's tried changing the subject several times, but he knew that the conversation was inevitable...
During dinnertime, you didn't even get the chance to tell him...as he anticipated this exact moment arriving, wanting to put a stop to it. He didn't want you getting your hopes up too soon.
"Before you ask, the answer's no. I forbid it."
"...c'mon, dad." You huffed, annoyed that he didn't trust you fully. "It looks like a lot of fun! And you know I treat all Pokémon fairly. I can talk to them! That could give me a huge advantage over-!"
"And who should we thank for that?"
"...you?"
"Right. And you're not going to use it for battles." He jabbed a fork into his berry dish. "It's simply too dangerous. Nobody else should know about it."
"You mean..all those evil organizations I've read about?"
"...I never take them seriously." Hypno scoffed. "I mean the kids who may see your gift and become jealous. They'll want it for themselves...but since they can't have it, they'll get angry. Next thing you know, they're spitting all over you, calling you crazy. And they'll destroy your confidence. It's a dream waiting to become a nightmare, [y/n]. It's not worth it."
Suddenly, the atmosphere at the table felt extremely heavy and tense. You expected him to be hesitant to let you go off on your own..though you hoped he would've been just a little bit supportive.
In fact, it's the exact opposite.
But you didn't see why it would be such a big deal. People talked to their Pokémon all the time! It's how they formed closed bonds; it's how Mega Evolutions were successful in-battle; it's how Riolus become mighty Lucarios:
You just couldn't understand why Hypno would think otherwise. Did he think you'll succumb to the pressure that easily?
No way would you let anyone talk you out of achieving your dreams! You wouldn't let them walk all over you or your Pokémon. And if they got jealous, so what?
You weren't afraid, so why would he be afraid for you?
"I won't let them get to me, dad..I promise." Your optimistic smile returned. "If they're mad that I can understand my Pokémon's feelings better..then they probably just see theirs as tools, not friends. And if I'm gonna become a Champion, I can't-"
However you were cut off when Hypno gasped, nearby choking on a berry. 'Oops..' You nervously shrunk back, realizing your mistake. You didn't mean to tell him that right now.
Oh well, it was sure to come out sooner or later.
"..y-you...want to become Champion? D-Did I hear that right?" He coughed, hitting his chest with his fist several times before he was able to breathe easier, still reeling from this sudden revelation.
"Yeah! I was thinking....Paldea! I read they actually have several Champions, so I can join them if I win the Pokémon League!" You eagerly explained, hoping that he'll let you go.
At this point, a vein was ready to pop out of his skull. He was getting very fed up with you chasing this ridiculous dream, convinced it will only end in tears and suffering.
As much as it pained him, it was better that he crushed it now...and not later when he finds out those awful humans made you give up on everything...including-
But his thoughts came to a halt, as when he was about to scold you and end this discussion once and for all...he looked into your eyes and saw something quite familiar in them..
A sparkle of unwavering determination.
'She...used to give me that same look...' He felt himself shudder a little bit, his fur becoming bristled.
That's why he couldn't say anything this time.
Because you reminded him so much of her. You had the same wish that she couldn't fulfill.
When she died, he thought it died with her..
But no.
He could see it lived on in you.
Would it be right to deny you that chance? To hurt another child he took under his wing?
Is that...what she would want?
"..dad, I know you're angry that I keep asking." You began cautiously. "But please..this is the one thing I want more than-"
"Alright."
"....alright..?" Blinking, you stared at him in confusion, before your eyes lit up. "You mean...?"
"I'll...let you go." He finally caved in, his shoulders relaxing. "But..you better come home straight away if it's too much pressure for you. There's no shame in giving up, you know."
"Oh my gosh!! Thank you, Dad!!" Grinning, you jumped out of your chair and hugged him tightly. "Thank you, thank you!! Don't worry, I don't plan on giving up! I'll become one of the best trainers in the region!"
As Hypno hugged you back in silence, he tried not to let his fears of what may happen to you overcome him. He was just so scared that all of this would end badly, and he'd find himself back in a state of grief.
Once was painful enough. He'd give anything not to experience again.
But at the same time, he didn't want to disappoint you...nor Alexis. She'd want you to carry on this journey with him supporting you all the way.
So he vowed to help you fulfill your dream of becoming a Pokémon Champion.
This time, he has to succeed. For your sake and hers.
...........
As days turned to weeks, and weeks into months, you've journeyed throughout Paldea, catching Pokémon and training them to become strong. But it's the friendships you made by understanding their every need that made them undeniably loyal to your goal.
And with the money you've earned from defeating trainers both young and old, you bought a Rotom phone so you could messages to Hypno back in Kanto. He received them via an old PC he managed to boot-up.
Once he figured out how to work the video chat, he listened to your ramblings of all the fascinating Paldean Pokémon--ranging from haunted tumbleweeds to funny-looking metal worms. You even saw a few regular-sized Hypnos hanging around some abandoned ruins.
It made you wonder why your dad looked so different from all of them, but you never questioned it.
Surely he had to be a very, very high-leveled Hypno.
When you told him you passed your first gym challenge with flying colors, he was surprised to learn there's even "tests" at all.
It made him nervous that the challenges will get progressively harder and harder for you, fearing they will overwhelm you into giving up.
Or that those gym leaders will look down on you if you're defeated in battle, seeing you as unworthy...
Yet with every test you completed, with every badge you obtained...he began to realize that you're truly serious about becoming a Champion. And that nobody was out to ruin your life as he feared. Just a snobby trainer here and there...though nothing concerning in the slightest.
You seemed genuinely happy with the way your journey has unfolded, although you've made a remark on how blunt Grusha, the ice-type gym leader, was towards you. But you took it with a grain of salt.
You were tougher than he initially thought.
Then the day arrived.
The day you told him you were finally ready to take on the Pokémon League, putting together your best team before tackling the interview.
But he still feared this will be the final test that breaks you.
What if it's too much pressure to fight so many trainers in a row?
What if you're horribly crushed by the Elite Four?
What then?
All of these worries continued to plague his mind, but...you kept promising him things were going to be okay. You vowed not to let anything get you down.
Even if you lost, that was okay, too.
You kept faith in your Pokémon. And eventually...
You did it!
You defeated the league's chairwoman, rising up to be among Paldea's Champions!
Hypno managed to find his way to the region to congratulate you, arriving just in time to see you having a picnic. Your Pokémon were either napping in the grass, playing around, chatting, or eating bits of sandwiches you learned to craft during your time here.
But to see your dad actually visit was surprising.
You jumped to your feet and ran over to hug him. He wrapped his arms around you just as tight, at first unable to speak.
He couldn't believe it.
You did it..
You actually did it.
"I told you I could do it, dad!" You grinned from ear to ear.
Yet...
It wasn't to last as you heard a sniffle.
"Dad..?" Pulling away and stepping back, you were worried upon seeing the tears streaming down his face. He closed them, rubbing them as he sniffled even louder.
"I-I'm sorry, I'm just...s-so proud of you.." With each passing second, it became harder and harder to contain his emotions. All of them just wanted to explode out of him now.
But they were the joyous emotions.
Ones he never thought he could feel again after..what happened all those years ago.
You smiled once more, hugging him gently, resting your head against his fluffy collar. "Awh, don't cry...Hassel did enough of that when I beat him. B-But he was happy, too! Just like you are!" You added.
"F-Forgive me for doubting you, [y/n]." He held you closely, looking up at the sky with another sniffle. "I'm just..happy..y-you have no idea how happy I am that..."
'That I could help fulfill your dream..and hers..' He wanted to say.
But even after all this time, he's never told you about her. He just couldn't open up about it because it hurt too much to even think about.
One day, he will reveal everything about what made him this way.
Not today, though.
Today was meant for celebration.
As he joined you at the table and met your Pokémon, nobody noticed the bluish ghostly figure off in the distance, her white eyes shimmering with joy at the sight.
Hypno--her Hypno--was truly happy again.
"Thanks for fulfilling my dream, guys. You did it." She smiled fondly, before disappearing into the night, finally at peace.

You don't remember how long time has passed when you're left in such a state. You may not feel anything but the bruises are there...you need to take care of yourself again.
"This is how you should take care of yourself, pup. How did you even navigate your way to the outside..."
The scientist sighed, you recalled his name to be Crewel, the person who assisted in your clothing and chemistry studies, as well as personal injury.
You don't understand what is churning inside your chest, you miss him-no, you miss them.
"Nya, henchmen! You're awake!"
"...O-oh?"
You forgot you haven't learned how to speak properly yet, Grim is all you have at the moment, you're only teacher, you're only family.
"If y'ah that tired then you should have told me sooner! You've been sleeping for 16 hours, I'm starvin' here!"
It must have passed Grim's meal time, for the 75th time, you feel sorry for Grim for having to deal with your clumsiness, you're still getting used to the outside world without your guardian's help. Wasting no time to stand up, you begin searching for berries or anything that's possibly edible for Grim to eat.
"These are the types that are edible to eat, those are poisonous, while the ones over there can be used for medicine."
You brought them back to Grim, hoping to make some stew for him to eat. You haven't mastered cooking so it may not be as enjoyable , but Grim said it's just fine to eat, you're glad it's not terrible.
It always repeats with you scavenging around for food, and then sleeping for the rest of the day. Though oftentimes you see Grim coming back with food on his own, more surprisingly, baked goods, and sharing them with you. Both of you were happy with what you have right now...
"Hide the child somewhere. Vargas! Take care of the intruders, I'll have to dispose of other documents"
"We should hurry up and give the little imp something to use, a knife would do."
"Promise me something pup, do not leave your current hideout until everything is clear."
After Crewel placed you down behind the bush, and using a perfume on you to conceal your smell, the skeleton looking man who generously offered the majority of your parts, Sam, put a pocket knife in your hands before following behind Crewel back to where they came from. With all your might, you tried reaching out to them, even though you were almost immobilized.
"D-don't....go-o...."
It was the last few memories you remembered when Grim helped you regain your mobility and consciousness again. You miss them dearly.
"Hey-y Grim, have you ever wished for so-omething?"
"Nyahaha, I wished to be the greatest mage in this world! What about you henchmen?"
"I-I...wish to f-ind my fami-ily...!"

Domicile au
Authors note: This idea came shortly after feathers au, me and some mutuals where chatting, all of the sudden mad father came up so I took the idea of Yuu being something that will be later revealed in this story. This au will mainly be focusing on fluff because I say so, and as you clearly can tell, I gave up on the title so I just googled whatever I could come up with ueueue.

When Pamela Courson met Jim, he began putting his money where his mouth was. Whereas all he had previously brought to the moment was morbid romantic excess, he now had someone looking at him and saying, “Well, are you going to drive off this cliff, or what?”
She was someone with red hair and a heart embroidered on her pants over the place her anus would be. He was a backdoor man, and Pamela was the door. Pamela was the cool one.
Everything a nerd could possibly wish to be, Pamela was. She had guns, took heroin, and was fearless in every situation. Socially she didn’t care, emotionally she was shockproof, and as for her eating disorders—her idea of the diet to be on while Jim was in Miami going to court was ten days of heroin. Every time she awoke she did some, so she just sort of slept through her fast. Once, when she did wake up, she went with some friends to the Beverly Hills Hotel see Ahmet Ertegun and fainted. Voilà, there she was back at UCLA, diagnosed as dying of malnutrition. Good old Pamela, what a sport.
She would take Jim’s favorite vest and write FAG in giant letters on the back in india ink. She would go through Rodeo Drive’s Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche, piling her arms higher and higher with more stuff, muttering under her breath, “He owes it to me, he owes it to me, he owes it to me.”
Pamela was mean and she was cool. She liked to scare people. Pamela had control over Jim in real life. He made his audience suffer for that.
Pamela looked sunny and sweet and cute—she had freckles and red hair and the greenest eyes and just the country-girl glow. It was hard to believe her purse was stuffed with Thorazine (that horrible drug they used to give acid freak-outs). She wore mauve, and large, soft, expensive suede boots and large shawls, but even her laugh was mean.
She was so mean, she told Ray Manzarek (the worst nerd worldwide, known to his friends as Ray of the Desert) that Jim’s last words were, “Pam, are you out there?” even though he actually left a note. And she knew that the note would establish forever the literature-movie myth of Jim’s Lizard King image. Everyone hated Pam except Jim.
A friend of mine once said, “You can say anything about a woman a man marries, but I’ll tell you one thing—it’s always his mother.” “Mother,” Jim sang, “I want to ... aggghh.” Pamela was more than happy to supply the lip back: “Oh, you would, would you? Well, fuck you!”
I couldn’t be mean to him. If the phone rang at night and there was a long pause after I said hello, I knew it was Jim. He and I had a lot of ESP in some kind of laser-twisted, wish-fulfillment kind of way. I always wished he were there, and every so often, he zoomed in.
“The thing that really made people mad at him,” my sister reminds me, “was that he drank. And it wasn’t cool to drink in those days.” “Yeah,” I say, “he did drink.” Of course, I drank, but I tried to keep my drinking within the psychedelia-prescribed boundaries of okayness. I drank Dos Equis, wine, and tequila. Jim drank Scotch.
Jim drank, got drunk, and woke up bloated and miserable and had to apologize and say he loved you, the alcoholic’s ancient saving grace. Jim drank and got drunk and then was so uncool he had to walk home.
Jim drank, got drunk, and wanted to be shown the way to the Next Whiskey Bar. Whereas the Rolling Stones were ripping off Otis and Robert Johnson and Chuck Berry, and the cool and hip Buffalo Springfield were riffling through Woody Guthrie and Hank Williams with folkie touches or else trying to achieve soul, Jim was ripping off Kurt Weill, Bertolt Brecht, Jean Cocteau, and Lawrence Durrell. While the Rolling Stones were making it cool to be black and folk rockers were making it cool to be white trash, Jim was making it cool to be a poet.
One night I was in the bungalow of Ahmet Ertegun. Ahmet proceeded to tell a rather gross story about midgets in India, and when he was through, Jim rose to his feet and bellowed, “You think you’re going to win, don’t you?! Well, you’re not, you’re not going to win. We are going to win. Not you capitalist pigs!”
Jim burned his bridges in Paris. He got fatter and fatter, drank more and more, sampled Pamela’s heroin, and piled up suicide notes on a table in their rooms. Since Jim had rheumatic fever in his youth, his heart was not in condition for what he did to it there—combining insult with fuckups until finally one day Pamela came into the bathroom and Jim wasn’t kidding.
She returned to the West Coast and sued for her share of Jim’s estate until she got it and then, since three years had passed and she was now the same age Jim was when he died, she, too, OD’d and died. She left behind a VW Bug, two fur coats, and Sage, Jim’s dog. A quarter of the group’s estate was split between her family and his, and her father saved Jim’s poems and put them in a safe place in Orange County.

"Pet", fiction in 4 parts - Part 2
Part 1 can be found here
When Kira came out of the shower-room, dressed in a deeply green sheath that set the gold and copper in her eyes aflame, Taun had to swallow his heart back down into his chest in order to continue setting up the dinner he'd prepared for her. His heart leaped again when he heard her small gasp of astonishment, and he held out a cup of mid-grade liquor he'd prepared for when she appeared. Her eyes, wide and beautifully expressive, took in the sight of various roots, talks, leaves and seeds arranged on plain steel plates and garnished with the few flowers he could spare, and rose to his with amazement as she took the drink. “Did you...?”
“Ah, yeah...” He had to control his eyes, trying not to focus too hard on the shape of her body under that clingy green fabric. “Is it too much?”
“It's...” Kira searched for the word. “It's incredible – you grew all this?”
Taun nodded. “Mm-hmm, I've gutted and refitted this ship and turned it into a mobile farm, basically. It keeps my food cost down and passes the time.” He didn't mention the secure rooms where he grew hallucinogenic herbs, fungus and algae just yet – he'd tell her about that particular income stream later.
“I haven't had fruit in probably six or seven years,” Kira breathed, staring greedily at a small cluster of bright yellow berries. “I don't even know what half of it is.” Her eyes sparkled, though, and she looked hungry enough to demolish it all. Taun wondered if she'd ever look at him in the same way. Don't get ahead of yourself. Instead, he invited her to sit on the mat he'd laid out on the floor – his only table was currently holding up a pallet of seedlings in the greenhouse. He watched her kneel, green fabric rippling around her legs as she reached for a cushion to sit on. Settling in, Kira took a drink and raised her eyes to the ceiling in bliss. “Oh my god... Don't tell me you do this all the time?”
Taun shook his head, grinning and lowering himself to sit. “I wish. I'll be honest, if you decide to stay we'll be eating leftovers for a while, then it'll be mostly protein bars and greens.” Taun found himself hoping she would stay.
“Sounds like paradise.” Kira took another sip and set her cup down. “It's still better than the colony, did you hear the part where I said I haven't had fruit in years?”
“I did. I don't always have fruit, either – the plants need to rest between crops, but I keep plenty of preserved stuff on hand. You won't go hungry unless something really bad happens, and even then it'll be a while before I run out.”
“Good to know. Can I...?” Kira gestured towards the food.
“Help yourself, I did this for you.”
She smiled. “Trying to win me over?”
Taun shrugged. “It gets lonely and cold out there, and my setup gets bigger every year, I could use the extra hands.”
“So it's not just about sex, then?” Kira picked an arrangement of fresh fruit and prepared vegetables, selecting pieces carefully. Taun paid attention to the pieces she picked and how quickly – they would be things she was familiar with or appealed the most to her. “When I read the notice, I kind of got the impression that being a pet is more like an arranged marriage than anything else.”
“It can mean a lot of things, depending on who's making the rules. That's what this is for, a chance to talk it over and see if we're looking for the same thing or if we can compromise. What led you to respond, if I may ask? It's... not common for humans to be interested in these things.”
“Can I be honest?” She popped a piece of fruit in her mouth, her tongue pink.
“I'd prefer it.”
Kira took a moment to chew before she answered. “I'm over thirty, I'm not married, and I don't want kids. These colonies tend to be on the conservative side, so if you're at least two of those things people start asking a lot of questions and getting into your business. There aren't many single women out here, so the guys can get annoying real fast – and pushy.”
Taun had to willfully settle his hackles. Already the thought of other men harassing this beautiful, obviously intelligent and amazingly bold woman had him feeling... fighty. Still, she was choosing a relationship that largely centered around sex over settling down, raising a family, being among her own people... “From what I understand, Rock 22 isn't a popular colony.”
“Nope, it's a mining colony, so the work is hard and supplies are expensive. And it's just a rock, there's nothing nice to look at or anywhere to go where you can forget what it's like being underground.” Kira raised her eyes again, this time to the profusion of greenery around and above. Some of the vines had become enmeshed with the wiring, and trails of leaves wound around the support frames Taun had left intact when he cut out bulkheads. Suddenly her eyes widened. “Is that a flower?”
Taun looked where she stared. In one of the supporting beams, in a hole he'd stuffed with moss and growing medium, a tiny white and yellow blossom had begun to unfold like a hand revealing a tiny, precious jewel. He smiled. “Drassian teaflower, one of my favorites. It just started doing that today.”
“All by itself?” Kira shot him a teasing glance, “I figured with you trying to make a good impression and all that...”
“Hey now, if you know how to make flowers bloom on command I may not let you leave.” Taun caught the flash of a grin. “It's just luck, and patience. And a lot more trial-and-error than I care to admit.”
“Isn't that everything?” Kira pulled her attention back from the plants and redirected it between him and the food. Despite not having fruit for years she ate with controlled but obviously sincere pleasure. Taun hoped she approached more than food in the same manner. He was more than content to just watch her, let her enjoy the meal uninterrupted while he enjoyed the view. The dress, probably home-made from whatever material she could scavenge or barter for, hugged her body from chest to hips before widening slightly, and the body under it was no disappointment – already he was imagining what she would feel like against his hands, his pelt, his mouth... Obviously Kira understood what a Leagan expected from his pet, and she must have chosen this outfit to show off what she had to offer in that respect. Sitting on the floor with her legs curled to the side, her hips and thighs strained the green cloth and Taun thought he could see the outline of a little roll in the crease between them. He bit his cheek in anticipation. “So, what about you? How does a guy with a mobile farm not already have a woman and a handful of kids?”
Taun scratched his head, fluffing his crest. “Like a lot of Leagans, I served time in the defense corps. Engineering, mostly. By the time I got out, most of the women were already settled and I guess I missed the window.” The immediate downcast of her eyes told him Kira knew about the fight against the Arakan, and the horrific attack on the Leagan genesis planet. “I guess you know about h'Leaga, then.”
Kira nodded soberly “News travels faster than supplies. I'm... I'm sorry, Taun.”
“Not your fault. We'll spring back in a generation or two, and I donate what I can.” Taun grinned at that. For all he knew there might be a hundred or so Leagan kids with his coloring, born from his 'donations' to gene banks over the years. He shook off the grief and had a drink. “Besides, raising children never really appealed to me either. I like doing what I do, trading and transporting and living my life. It's honest work... mostly.”
“Mostly?” That got her attention. “What does that mean?” Though she asked, a sly smile teased the corner of her mouth. Taun liked that.
“Well, I guess I should ask how you feel about... moving the occasional contraband cargo. Most of what I do is legit, but I don't see why I should pass up the opportunity to make a little extra untraceable funds now and then.”
Kira's eyes sparkled and she chuckled. “I should've guessed – you come all the way out here not because you want to provide us poor mining folk with fresh food, but because the authorities don't come out this far unless it's a big deal. You lure people in with oranges and berries, then you sell them... Let me guess, naash? Redthorn? Ayahuasca?”
“And cannabis, mushrooms, pills, all the good stuff. Not to mention poisons and rare plants for edgy collectors. Is that going to be a problem?”
“Hell no, fuck the police.” Kira grinned, giggling. “There's nothing else to do out here except work, let people have some fun.”
Taun breathed an internal sigh of relief. “Do you partake?”
“Not on the first date. Better safe than sorry, yeah?”
“No pressure. I can show you the grow-rooms if you're interested–“
“Plenty of time for that later. Right now, I'm curious about how long it's going to take before you finally crack.”
Taun blinked. “Hmm?”
Kira indicated the food. “You've barely touched anything, and the whole time I've been here you keep eating me with your eyes. Not that I mind, but it's pretty obvious you like me. And I like you, so we don't need to play games. I want off this rock, and playing pet for a guy who seems like he knows what he's doing is a hell of a lot better than rotting in a mineral mine with drunks and convicts pawing at me all the time.”
Taun blinked some more. She did seem eager to get away, but she was treading carefully. She made no unreasonable demands and seemed to accept what she was getting into. There was no legal tape, no binding contract – if things didn't pan out, he could always drop her off at another colony and start over – but for the most part she seemed willing. Her disdain for authority didn't hurt either. “What's the difference between getting pawed at by a convict and getting pawed at by me? I'm just curious.”
Kira rolled her eyes and sipped at her drink. “There's not a woman on the rock who hasn't been grabbed, rubbed on or slapped on the ass by some soggy prick who thinks he's being cute. Since I came here, though, you've been nothing but manners – I could've walked out of that shower buck-naked and you would've just stood there. I can tell already by how you act and talk that you won't do anything to me unless I say I'm good with it, and I like to think I'm a pretty good judge of character.”
Stunned, Taun could do little more than have another taste of his drink. It was true – she'd been giving him cues and openings all evening, from the moment she walked in, and he hadn't acted on any of them. She hadn't explicitly said he should, though her eyes feasted just as much as his. Hell, she'd touched him without asking, something Taun wouldn't have dared with any woman. Leagan women had claws too, and you could always tell a stupid male by the scars. “Well, you're right about a few things – I don't touch anything that doesn't belong to me, and I was raised by parents who didn't want me to lose an eye, so I'd agree with you on my character. And you don't seem to mind my odd jobs, which is good because I'm not giving those up – the money's just too good. As far as cracking goes...” He ran his eyes over her again, taking his time and making sure she saw. “Let's just say I'm made of sterner stuff.”
A slow smile spread from Kira's lips to her eyes. “The 'stuff' is what I'm interested in. I've met Leagans before, but I never had the chance to get really close to one... Do you know what a cat is?”
“Those little fluffy creatures that eat vermin? Yes, they're all the rage on some of the Leagan colonies at the moment.”
“Hmm.” She studied him for a moment, visibly working through a thought. It looked serious. “Would it be racist of me if I said you remind me of them?”
Taun laughed. Gods, I like her! She was so forthright, so clever and humorous, she cut through the bullshit and said exactly what she wanted to say, in such a way that he just couldn't be offended. “Maybe a little? But I don't mind, they're fine animals. Unless you're suggesting I eat vermin?”
“No, not at all.” Her smile returned and Kira looked relieved. “But... I kinda would like to pet you, if that's okay.”
The thrill that coursed through Taun's body was rapturous. He closed his eyes so she wouldn't see them roll back in his head, anticipatory pleasure briefly overwhelming his senses. To feel her smooth, brown fingers combing through his pelt, ruffling the coarse hairs on the back of his neck leading up to his crest, stroking his ears, chest and belly before moving lower... Taun gathered his courage and opened his eyes. “Only if I get to pet you, too.”

chapter three ; merry sunday.
Tumblr media
When you slam yourself so hard into the heart of the Barista that took your order just a few moments ago you end up accidentally giving him the potion of swiftness without realizing it.
Or atleast ─ that's what it looked like. Because Ace (the name that the nametag on his apron gave away), seems like he's moving even faster than he did before. And mind you, he's already a fast worker as is. you know this because you've been observing him ever since you stepped foot in this cafe.
It's a funny sight, sort of. Seeing this 6'1 guy take an order and immediately get to making said order all under a few minutes, You wish you could see the customers reaction to that ; because quite a handful of them seemed shocked by just how quick he is when he rings up their order only after a few minutes at best. Maybe it's not a bad thing after all… unless he gets paid by the hour and not by how well he does his job. If it's the former, you can only grimace and wish him for the best.
Shaking your head and averting your focus away from the Barista, you take a sip of your drink as you watch Perona multitask ; her right hand moves swiftly, holding a pencil firmly and making lines on a small notebook she always brings with her, drawing. (Perona's a fashion designer and a seamstress, 24 and already planning to launch her own clothing line. It's no surprise that she brings a notebook everywhere she goes, to write or draw down ideas whenever inspiration strikes her.)
Her other hand is scooping small bites of pancakes into her mouth, the plate of pancakes were cut into bite-sized pieces in advance ─ so all she had to do was stab her fork into the unsuspecting pieces of pancakes and eat it. Sometimes her fork misses, making a small 'clank!' sound from hitting the plate instead of the pancakes. When that happens, you grab a butter knife and rearrange the pancakes by pushing it to the middle or closer to her side (where she usually aims her fork) so she'll always get a bite of pancakes no matter what. Until she finishes her plate, of course.
Putting down the drink you've been sipping on for the last 2 minutes, you look at the few empty dishes cluttering your table. One is a plate with leftover crust and a few mixed berries left, the remains of the Berry Pie you and Perona ate 15 minutes ago. The other plate was the plate that had Scallion Pancake on it, the taste was so good and savory that nothing was left behind in the plate. You were surprised at how much Variety the cafe menu has, it definitely didn't let you down.
You remember Ace telling you that there are a few board games in the cabinets that were in the corner of the store, they were free to play by any customer that entered the cafe if you remember correctly. You came here to have breakfast and start searching up essential stuff for your vacation break (hotels , tour places , driving fees and all). But a few boardgames wouldn't hurt, right? Afterall, your vacation has already started and playing games counted as letting loose.
You set your mind to play a few board games with Perona before leaving so you start stacking up empty plates and glasses to make room for a few games. Perona finally looks up to you when she hears glass clinking and gives you a quirked eyebrow when you started wiping the table with cloth. You give her a grin and she snaps her notebook closed, putting it and her pencils aside.
"Are we leaving this early?" She asks as you collect the utensils from plates and stack them into the highest plate, Perona's eyes follows your every move, identical to a cat.
"No, I'm making space."
"For what?"
You bite back the urge to respond with a 'your mom' joke, knowing Perona's mood usually sours instantly whenever you even try to deliver the line. Instead, you opted to put her question on hold and to get the game in question.
Already used to your odd behavior at times, Perona doesn’t bother to question you suddenly rushing out your chair anymore and lets you go. She vaguely hears you scrambling to get something a few tables behind her, but doesn’t give it any thought. However, when the voice of the Barista that served them earlier starts to blend in with your taken off-guard exclamation of surprise, she can’t help but strain her ears to eavesdrop on your starting conversation. She's as nosy as she can get, but that’s always how she's been.
“─What’s this game about?” She hears you question, followed along by the sound of a box rattling. Perona had no doubt that you were shaking whatever board game is in your hands currently. You’ve always had a habit of shaking boxes to hear what’s inside, she doesn’t get why you do it, and she probably never will. That’s fine with her, you do what you do, perona does what perona does. It’s how the dynamic between you two works ; no matter what absurd or odd things one of you do, the other never judges. And it’s simply how it’ll always be.
"Well─ you’re familiar with trick questions right?" Perona hears the barista respond, his tone so cheery it makes her suspicious. Just a little.
"Hell yea! I love those, is the game basically just filled with that..?" Your voice trails off questioning, but you spoke up again. "Would you mind humoring a customer by explaining it in more detail though?" She can practically feel your smile from here, is it just her or was your voice more up-beat than it usually is? Also, were you trying to make the conversation last longer? Her suspicions are only rising higher.
A chuckle. "Course i don't mind! This board game is basically filled to the brim with those kinds of questions where the most obvious answer is probably the wrong one. It is a team game, usually played with 4 people, 2 on each team, But─!” She hears a clap, man this guy is expressive. “─You can definitely still play it with just two people. The rules are pretty simple, let me explain…” Perona drops the eavesdropping when the guy starts getting off-track with his explanation, now somehow telling a story about his experience playing the very same board game with his brothers animatedly (and god, just how many brothers does this guy have?).
Time passes, you don’t know how much ; but it passes and you return to your table with a board game in hand, satisfied with your pick and show it off to a not so impressed Perona.
“Really?”
“Mn? What?”
She rolls her eyes,”Did you seriously have to take that long just to get a board game [name]?” You stare at her as you took your seat again, setting the board game on the table and crossed your arms. “What are you looking at me suspiciously for? Of course I had to, how else would we play the game correctly if we didn’t even know how to?”
“Not talking about the game, [name]!”
“But you said─” You cleared your throat, adjusting your voice to mimic Perona’s. ‘Did you seriously have to take that long just to get a board game [name]?!’ Which ─ let me remind you, does imply that you were referencing the board game.”
She made a show with her hands, throwing them open dramatically. “Fine! I’m talking about the barista. Did you have to enable him with those hums? You only made him sidetracked and drew out the conversation longer than it needed to be.”
“Oh so you were listening in! Typical, so i guess i don’t have to explain the rules and how to play this game then? Awesome.” You grin, enjoying Perona’s reaction as the corner of her right eye twitches and her fingers drum the table rhythmically (Something you have translated to her trying to not lose her calm, based on the observations you’ve made over the few years at least.)
As fun as teasing Perona is, you’re not that mischevious to the point you would make Perona actually angry ─ no one would want an angry Perona, very much none would like to face her wrath. So you give a small smile, giving a small pat at her hand that drummed against the table.
“Alright, sorry.” You lean back against your chair. “I was just trying to look for a game that looked fun to play for the both of us when he cut in, believe me ─ I was surprised as well.”
“No, yeah, I heard you.” Perona quickly replied, now slurping on her unfinished drink.
“Sometimes I wonder just how far your hearing range is. Scary.”
She shrugs, “You do realize you were only a few tables away right?” Then waves her hand around. “Wasn’t that hard to hear what was happening, continue the story!”
“If you listened in on us, then you already know what happened!” You bring up.
“But i wanna hear it from you! From your perspective.” She countered. “Also I stopped listening half way through when he decided to talk about his brothers or something.”
“Oh. I guess the guy is pretty chatty..”
“More than that, jeez. It reminds me of Luffy alot─”
“Ah, that's his younger brother!”
That stunned Perona quickly, though not for long as she exclaimed ‘I should’ve known!’ with a dramatic exasperated face and started to ramble, listing off the similarities between Ace and Luffy that she had noticed so far.
You’re starting to regret bringing the topic up but you suppose it was inevitable, it was either now that Perona makes the connection, or later on ─ When the guy in question joins them at their table to be the GameMaster. From what you gathered so far about his character, he probably will bring up his brothers again.. At Least it’s better having Perona spiral into dumping all information she has about him now rather than later ; in front of the actual guy. That would have been both awkward and embarrassing.
Oh yeah, you haven’t told Perona about the GameMaster thing yet.
You wonder how she’d react to that, You’ll find that out soon enough though - Right now, you need to figure out a way on how to put a pause (a stop, would be more preferred but you’ll take what you can get) on her tangent without causing anymore disturbances to the other customers inside the shop.
“Yeah, their similarities really shine through when you make the connection, Hu?─”
“Why is the barista heading this way?” Perona cuts you off without hesitance, side-eyeing the ‘barista’ with no subtlety at all.
You prayed, for whoever exists out there, that the barista would be the guy you had in mind and not some poor worker just trying to do their job (getting side-eyed by a gothic woman at 7 in the morning isn’t exactly an ideal scenario a worker would want to experience when doing their shifts after all).
You cough. “Which barista?”
Perona sharpens her eyes at you. “The one that took our order and served us?”
“Oh, Ace? Stop looking at him like you’re about to shoot lasers from your eyes and disintegrate him. He’s gonna be our GameMaster for this game.”

「 reader's pov 」
i tap my foot on the floor impatiently waiting for taehyun to walk through the door.
i've been waiting all day for him to come home. he's been really busy these days so i barely get to spend much time with him. today is no exception.
the moment he steps through the threshold of entrance i stop him making him eye me suspiciously.
"what's this all about?" he asks as i walk to him.
"it's nothing. come with me."
i grab both his hands, dragging him with me to our room leaving him very little time to take his shoes off.
"you're a little too energetic for this time of the day, should i be worried?" he asks wearily as we enter the room. "what's going on?"
i gesture to the bed where there's an outfit laid out for him.
"what's this for?"
"you ask too many questions. change into this and meet me outside, we'll be late."
"late for."
"times ticking babe!" i shout, exiting the room.
i quickly take the cooler box i had in the kitchen and take it to the car before he can see and once that's sorted i wait for hin by the door.
"i'm here."
i look at him, mentally patting myself on the back for the outfit i picked as if he wouldn't pick that for himself anyway.
"great let's go."
"where are we going?"
"shhh. no questions."
we get in the car and i start driving. the song playing very softly in the background is eclipse by ash island and i hear taehyun singing it under his breath next to me putting a smile on my face.
"eyes on the road you creep."
"you are you calling a creep?"
"you. staring at me like that."
"as if."
he smiles and so do i.
"you dragging me out in the woods to kill me?" taehyun questions once he sees me parking the car.
"maybe."
we get out of the car and i open the back seat to bring the seats up before going to open the boot.
"tadaaa." i sing, making hazz hands at the things in the boot.
"what's this?"
"a picnic terry. sit, let me set this up."
"i'll help."
"no no, i'll do it."
he pouts, sitting down on a rock nearby.
i set up the blankets and fairy lights for ambiance, struggling here and there but i still managed.
"okay, it's all set. come."
he stands up, looking at my hard work.
"don't just stand there." i gesture for him to get in the car so we can both get comfortable.
"i made us dinner." i said alarming him apparently because he looks at me wide-eyed.
"you cooked?" i nod. "is it safe?"
i hit his shoulder playfully.
"i can cook." i tell him, getting the containers out of the picnic basket.
"looks good." he comments once i open them.
"we'll see if it tastes good too."
we start eating and uhh...
"tastes... good-ish." he comments, but i know what he's really thinking.
"now i know damn well." he shakes his head, looking at me.
"it's a good effort." he tries reassures, taking another mouthfull. "i won't get food poisoning right?" he jokes making me snarl at him.
Tumblr media
once we were done eating, we put away the containers of half eaten food, clearing up the space.
i reach into the cooler box and take out the cake i worked very hard on much to taehyun's surprise. i light the candles i put on the cake ans sing happy birthday to him very much off key and the smile never leaves his face, his dimple very much visible.
"baby."
"hmm?"
"you didn't have to." he tells me, holding my hands as he looks straight into my eyes.
"i wanted to. come on. it's a fire hazard to have these on here." i tell him, pointing to the lit candles on the cake. "make a wish."
"i have all i need here with me though."
"since when have you been so cheesy?" i ask, deadpanned expression making him laugh. "candles are melting." i urge and he closes his eyes before he blows the candles out. "so what did you wish for?"
"won't come true if i tell you." he tells me.
"wine?" i offer.
"you brought wine too?"
"yes. we're going all out today." he smiles to himself as i get the glasses and pour us each a glass.
"to finally being of legal drinking age in the states."
he shakes his head, smiling before clinking our glasses.
"happy birthday taehyun." i say to him and he leans in to press a kiss on my lips.
"thank you baby."
we cuddle up together after eating the cake that was surprisingly not too bad while listening to the music playing softly on my phone.
Tumblr media
okay it's like 10pm here so it's still the 5th. i kinda planned to post this earlier but then i fell asleep so here we are.

||The exotic demon fruit incident||
Hi there dears, Peahen mom is here with a drabble for you. I hope you like this one involving a couple. It was a idea that came to me from work so lets see what we have.
||Drabble summary||
Lets say Vivi's devil invited her to visit to tell him how things are going but one day, he sends her a gift to try. It was a little fruit salad that Orochi made. However, she accepted the gift and eats it along with the fresh berries that was in it. However, the fruit were not what one things. Wanna know what? Read to find out.
||Warning||
~Demon heat increased is present in this
~self pleasuring is present
~Becoming mates is present
~Nsfw is present in this drabble
((Guests in this drabble))
Shdwkyz the Phantom Slasher and some devils belongs to @demon-blood-youths
Vivi the void grim reaper along with her devils and the cursed vixens belong to me
{{Note: This will have grammar mistakes and errors so it's not perfect but this was written for fun of course and for my friend. I Hope you dears like it.))
"I'm so glad that your doing well Vivi! You have grown so much it's good to see your demon blood is growing stronger as ever." Orochi smiled being in his human form to see his and Nagi's heir looking to them.
Isabella Vivian Santos or Vivi for short was sitting in her normal wear but her white hair was braided while looking to her devil. "I figure as much but it's as Nagi said, I have to learn to grow and move on." she sets the tea down but she was looking to that while Orochi smiled. He knew it was a long road for her but it was good for her to grow.
"Even so, I'm glad to know that your learning. Both me and Nagi are so proud of you, Vivi. So! I got you something to try as a reward!" he smiled but Vivi blinks.
"A...reward?" she asked seeing him reach and sets something down. "Tada! It's a exotic berry flower salad. I made it myself!" he said proud of himself but she blinks to look at him.
"You made me a salad?" she asked seeing him nodding.
"OF course! It's a recipe that my brother Nagi has in his old books but I heard it's pretty good. So, I made it for you as a reward." he was smiling but she looks to the salad. It looked fresh with green lettuce, some almonds, nuts, strawberries, blueberries, a hit of honey, and some other sweets inside.
"Hmmm, I didn't expect Nagi to be the type to cook foods like the human world.." she said.
"True but he wanted to take a hobby so I did too! I'm not good as cooking as him but he is really good! That's why I tried it and I'm hoping you like it." He smiled but Vivi blinks to look at the salad then takes a fork to get some of it. In a bit, she takes a bite to try for a moment.
"Well? What do you think?" he smiled as she blinks to look at him.
"It's pretty good. the freshness is there and the same for the fruits..and these too." she shows one of the fruits she didn't see before. It looked red and plump but it had a little purple in it but she only eats it tasting the sweetness. Over all, it was good.
"I'm glad you think so! I got more if you wish to add it in the salad."
"Thank you.." she said as she continues eating and Orochi spending time with her. In a few hours, Orochi was waving bye to her as he was returning to the demon realm. He saw that Vivi ate the whole thing even the berries as he was returning back.
"So, Orochi was checking on you?" Jinx said seeing Vivi nod.
"Yes. I guess he wanted to check on me to see how I was doing. He did make me something so that was nice of him." she said as Jinx smiled.
"Good to know! Anyway, wanna do some hanging out? We got the movie set up for later.." she smiled but she nods to follow her. However, Orochi had no idea what he did.
~~In the demon realm/A few weeks later~~
"So as you can see, I've been working on a forumla to improve the recipe but I'm glad you favor the tea, Miss Goa." Nagi said while spending time with Shdwkyz's devil, Goa. She was holding her fan to fan herself a little then closes it to look.
"I do. This is your finest brew yet, Nagi. I'm impressed.." she said to smile even with Nagi happy to hear.
"Glad you think so. If you wish, I can have some sent back for you to enjoy later."
"Would you? That would be nice. "she said. "Though, It seems your little devil Vivi has gotten closer to my heir Shdwkyz. I hope they become closer in the future...or do you think so?" she asked.
"It's strongly possible. They work well together and they really do enjoy each other's company."
"True, true.." she chuckled while the other devils were busy. Seems they were happy while speaking of Shdwkyz and Vivi working together but growing closer.
As they were talking, Nagi heard his brother Orochi in the kitchen before seeing him walk out happily eating something. "Brother, what are you doing now?" he asked.
"Nothing, just having a snack. I didn't mean to bother your date with miss Goa." he said that Nagi felt his face heat up to Goa giggling.
"It's not a date!" he said to him.
"If your sure, brother. I'll just go and do my own thing." he said eating more but Nagi blinks to look at him.
"And what are you eating? Is that a salad?"
"Yeah! I made it and it's still delicious! Did you want some?" he said showing it. Nagi saw the same thing but he noticed something while seeing him about to add the red plump berries with a little purple at the bottom.
"Brother, where did you get those berries?" he asked.
"Hmm? From your garden. Why? These are the same ones you use for this recipe right?" he said seeing Nagi sigh.
"Brother, the berries to use is the darker red ones with the white milky look on them. These berries are from my exotic fruit garden..where I told you not to touch them." he said but Goa was curious.
"You grow your own garden here in the demon realm?"
"Well, yes. I grow different things. I bare the fruits here to use in things for medicine, elixirs, food, etc. The berries I see in the salad are from my demonic exotic fruit garden. They have the strongest fruits known to many demons but my idiot baby brother tends to poke around and look. So I'm guessing you got the berries from there?"
"Yeah. I did. But they are pretty in a salad. I even made Viiv a salad and she loved it! Along with the berries."
"Wait what?" Nagi asked looking to him.
"Yeah! I used the berries from that exotic garden to make it weeks ago. She ate the whole thing including the berries." he smiled but Nagi's eyes widen in shock. Or course Orochi noticed.
"Uhhhh you okay brother-"
"YOU HAD VIVI DO WHAT!?" He shouted that got the other devils looking up from what they were doing. What was that all about? Goa sweatdrops seeing Nagi grabbing his brother's robes to glare at him.
"W..w..w..what did I do!? I thought it was safe to use the berries in the food!" he said.
"NO YOU IDIOT! WHY DID YOU THINK I LEFT A SIGN THAT SAYS 'DO NOT USE' IN ANYTHING BESIDES THE ELIXIRS AND POTIONS!?" he said shaking him. "True the berries are not as dangerous or strong in liquid form. But in their real form, it's too powerful you idiot! And you had Vivi eat the berries!?!"
"Y..Yes? And a jar of them too-"
"A WHOLE JAR!?" he shouted now shaking him that Orochi got dizzy.
"WAhhhhh I'm sorry! I keep forgetting not to use them! But their just berries she'll be fine won't she!? @-@" He said dizzy.
"That's what I'm hoping she is. Thanks to you idiot, you got her in a really bad state! The berries will effect her body pretty strong like." he said.
"Uhhhh and how?" he asked dizzy still but was dropped.
"Ughhhhh..lets just say she'll be very very uncomfortable for a few days or weeks......" he said. "..I need to contact Jinx and her team..." he said but Goa blinks wondering about this. Maybe she'll have to ask Nagi about it.
~~~Later on~~~
'And that's the situation.' Nagi said while contacting the Cursed Vixens thanks to Lilith who was spending time with the DBT's devil contractor. They were watching comedy shows and stuff. Jinx blinks not expecting to hear this but it did explain a lot.
"Huhhhhhh so that's why Vivi seems off for the following weeks." she said.
'Yes. Is she alright? Is she still there?' he asked.
"Yeah, she's still here but in her room. After a few days she felt weird but she's been in that room for days now. She does come out but goes right back in the room.." Echo explains to Nagi but he sighed to look at the girls.
"Is Vivi going to be alright?" Melinda asked.
'Don't worry. She'll be fine...it's just she'll be really uncomfortable for a while. However, I think it's best for you girls to find her a place to be alone for a few days. That way she can do what is needed to help with the feeling she's going through right now.'
"Hmmm, we can do that! We do have a private place in our area so we can take her there!" Breezy said that Nagi looks to them.
'Good. Thank you and if any asks, just tell them Vivi will be fine..she just needs some time. Anyway, I need to go. I still need to kill my brother for having her eat the damn things in the first place..'
'I'm still sorry big brother! I thought I was just trying to do something nice!' they heard Orochi cry in the background.
'Your still in trouble!' he shouts and hearing a sigh from Goa before disappearing from the orb. The cursed vixens blinks but wonders what that was about. For now, they went to go and help move Vivi to a more private place for a while.
In a few more weeks, everyone did wonder what ever happened to the void grim reaper. Even the nights were more silent now without her. The vixens told them she was fine and resting up. However, one was worried to wonder what is happening.
Shdwkyz the phantom slasher was worried about his partner/friend who would always be here to help with solo missions and things but not for a while. He was just done ending a mission last night but no sign of Vivi again. Just what or where did she go?
".......I hope she's alright. Maybe I can ask Jinx and them. I know they said she is recovering but was she hurt?" he knew she would heal quickly but this was pretty long to say the least. The others were worried about her too but Shdwkyz decided to give it a shot and go find her. Maybe he'll be able to figure it out.
~~At the Cursed Vixen's place~~
"So you girls have no idea where Vivi is?" Shdwkyz asked seeing Jinx look at him with the others listening.
"Well, we do know but Nagi told us to put her somewhere to rest up. We would have left her here but..she needs rest is all. But she'll be fine!" Jinx smiled even if Sai sweatdrops.
"And your not telling anyone where she is?"
"We could but no one else knows where she is. Vivi is under protection to keep herself rested for the few days. But, we do check up on her from time to time when possible. We can assure you she's safe and alright Shdwkyz." Melinda said and yet, the phantom was worried.
"I see....well, is their a way you can at least tell me or give me the address so I can check up on her? I give my word I won't tell anyone else where she is. I just wanna check on her...is that alright?" he asked the team.
"Hmmmmmm..."
"Besides.." He looks to the side but he didn't show his expression. "I wanna be fully sure she's alright."
"Awwww, you really do care about her. How adorable!" Jinx giggled that Shdwkyz looks back to close his eyes, his eye brow twitching. And yet, his face was burning pink. Of course he cares about Vivi. He always did. But he was just worried about her is all. And more.
"Yes yes i get it now will you please just tell me where she is?" he asked again only for Mouse to sigh. She hands him a piece of paper with a address written on it.
"Here; you can find her at this address. Be sure you are careful getting there and say Hi to her for us." Mouse said that Shdwkyz nods taking it.
"Thanks Mouse. I'll be sure to do that.." With a wave, he goes to find the place where Vivi is. Jinx and her team sees him leave but Jinx thinks to smile.
"You think he will be shocked seeing what happened?" she asked.
"Maybe but he will be more worried and shocked." Melinda said as the girls sees him leave. They just hope he won't freak out seeing her 'mental state.'
But he'll be fine. Right?
It took a bit and a few rides from the bus before getting to the apartment that was on the paper. It looked normal but he did hope Vivi was here. He goes inside to head to the floor she was on but looks to see the room. Apartment 45A. He takes a slow breath but gently knocks.
"Vivi? You in there?" he calls out but he waited getting no response. He wonders if she was here or asleep? He was about to knock but heard a click to slowly see the door open. He saw someone but noticed someone.
"Uhhh Vivi? Are you-" As he started to speak, a hand grabs his shirt and pulls him inside the room to slam it shut and relock it. He winces from behind held against the door but he opens his eyes to look startled. He saw Vivi already but she was...out of it. She didn't have her cloak on but she was drenched in sweat while looking flushed. Her eyes were hidden but she was shaking while resting against him.
"Isabella!? What's wrong? Your soaked in sweat. Are you alright?" he asked but she didn't answer him that Shdwkyz quickly tries to help her but she didn't move to keep him where he was. However, he also noticed something else. She didn't move but saw something swaying behind her. However, he sees her panting heavily while whining to lean in against him or nuzzle into his neck.
Wait...was that a succubus tail!? What the fuck happened!?
"Vivi, what is..going on? What happened? Why do you.." He feels her now licking his neck slowly as he feels her still licking more that she was about to kiss his neck.
"Vivi!"
She blinks to snap out of it but quickly moves to cover her mouth worried. "...I..I....s..sorry! Sorry I......Ugh....what a..are you doing h..here Sai?" she said but Shdwkyz was worried.
"I was coming to check on you...but what the hell happened to you? Why do you have a tail? And...are those wings!? What-" he sees her sigh but held herself but her tail reaches to her look away.
"....I can explain....."
I'm back with another cat who deserves to go apeshit. It's Leafpool. It's like she was born just for StarClan and everyone to shit on her. Unless the Erins retconned it Sandstorm pressured Leafkit into becoming a med cat. Sure she did come to like it later but she had her own mother try to tell her to follow that path.
Then when she listened to StarClan and followed her heart she comes back to see her mentor dead by a badger. Then she is pregnant with Crow's kits when they split up and has to deliver them outside of the Clan and give them to Squirrel to raise as her own while she has to pretend to be the Aunt to them.
And StarClan for some ass reason got in their feelings about it and treated Leafpool like 'Wah how dare you break the code that the clan equivalent of a teenage mom in ye olde times created because she was stressed out and really shouldn't be a measurement of every medicine cat?'
And even though it was Leafpool who found the warrior version of Black Mecca, the pool she was named after and the thing that connects the world of the living to StarClan, no one acknowledges this at all and goes 'Holy Smokes, she is practically the next Moth Flight, you know that cat that found that sparkly blue stone in that cave before the two legs came and destroyed everything. Maybe we should at least give her deserved respect and that she can make mistakes like everyone else.'
Like Leafpool found the Lake version of the Moonstone to keep the Clans from running around like headless chickens and would have made the panic of having no Moonpool because it was frozen look like a cake walk because they wouldn't even have a Moonpool to have it be frozen.
Instead of saying 'Okay Leafpool, you did break the Code but since you helped the Clans not degrade into Godless Heathens, you can keep your role. It's not like you gave birth to Brokenstar 2.0 and helped save lives after all' nearly everyone treated her like she was a pariah or the next coming of Tigerstar.
Hell, when Leafpool died, that's when the Moonpool froze. It's like they were connected and when she passed, it too 'died.'
( Don't even get me started on that trial shenanigans, because I will rant until I hit a word limit LOL )
And while Holly, Lion, and Jay had every right to be mad at her but they didn't have to go out of their way to be that antagonistic since nearly every cat in the Clans both dead and alive already treated her like a yeast infection or you know, try to force her to commit suicide by the berries that did in Brokenstar.
I just kinda wish Leaf snapped back at Holly during that moment, even if it will be out of character.
'I know I gave up the right to me your mother and you every reason to be mad at me, but I will NOT have you use that tone against or say such things to kewhen you know how The Clans and our Ancestors view Kin Slaying in cold blood. Let alone killing a Medicine Cat. Firestar will be forced exile to you and when you die you will not grace the stars of Silverpelt.
And many cats broke the Code. Will you kill Crowfeather too? Technically Tawnypelt broke the Code when she went to ShadowClan and had half clan kits. Should she be slain by you as well? And Firestar was a kitty pet by birth. Should Sandstorm die for giving birth to half kitty pet cats?
If making me eat them truly will make you feel better, then do it. But my death will not be quick or pleasant. I only ask you as my final wish is that you look away as I choke to death, because I still love you, and I don't want you to see how a cat choking to death looks like.'
And Hollyleaf is so stunned she doesn't run off to the tunnels, but does come back to the Clan until a week to fully comprehend what happened.
Sorry if this came off as ranty but Leafpool deserves better.
Oooooooo this is Good Stuff! I’m not even going to write a lil story you already did Amazing! Go off Leafpool! Let Leafpool Be Angry! Let her R A G E! She was Wronged! I cannot express how good this is!
