This is an Eberhard Faber Permapoint Yellow Band fountain pen in green brickwork or snakeskin celluloid c. 1943-1948. It’s a 5 1/16 inch long pen lever fill pen with chrome or rhodium plated trim. Eberhard Faber, named after John Eberhard Faber, was much more widely known as a pencil manufacturer, established in Manhattan, New York City in 1861 and moved to Brooklyn in 1872 after a fire. It appears from advertising that the company made fountain pens from the late 1930s to the mid 1950s. The clip is stamped PERMAPOINT. The stainless steel nib is stamped E. FABER over MEDIUM over IRIDIUM over TIPPED over MADE IN over U. S. A. and was originally gold plated. The barrel is stamped PERMAPOINT over EBERHARD FABER U. S. A. over U. S. PAT. 124,266. The patent is for the “ornamental” Yellow Band on the cap and barrel end. These pens were made in solid black and green, red and brown “pearl” brickwork celluloid. Gold plated trim models were also made. Nibs available were fine, medium and broad. Что может мне пригодиться?

Почти всё, что можешь увидеть. Искусство не ограничивает тебя в материале, ты можешь выразить себя где угодно, когда угодно. Однако, если ты берешься за карандаш, акварель или пастель, то тут стоит подойти с осторожностью. Сейчас я всё подробно разберу, что касается карандаша и особенности бумаги.

Карандаш?

Да, тут не так всё просто. Карандаши бывают разной жёсткости.

От маркировки Н до Н12 - жёсткие, ими ты можешь почти резать бумагу или оставлять очень светлые штрихи. Обычно их используют для рисовки светлого предмета или стекла.

НВ - твои стандартный школьный карандаш, ты можешь рисовать им, но эффекта глубины цвета, а так же разнообразия он тебе не даст.

В-В12 - мягкие. Тут бумага просто легко покроется чёрным, стоит особенно аккуратно работать с карандашами от В4 и больше, потому что они могут раскрасить твою бумагу твоей же рукой и там же остаться.

Разные компании делают карандаши разной жёсткости

Так, к примеру, один и тот же карандаш от компании KOH-I-NOIR и eberhardFaber жёсткостью в 3Н весьма отличаются друг от друга. Можно покупать разные карандаши от разных компаний, но эффект будет предсказуемый.

Что я рекомендую? Для начала купить набор из шести карандашей, а там уже попробовать, как каждый чувствуется.

О да, Бумага!

Для разного материала нужен свой холст. Карандаш не прихотлив, ему где угодно дай свободу, он разойдется, а вот акварель это более щепетильный материал.

Чтобы определить, что именно нужно, то сначала обратись к упаковке. Снизу, где обычно стоит маркировки типов бумаги, стоит обратить на одну, особую отметку.

Синим подчёркнута плотность бумаги. Это то что нужно. Для карандаша она любая, но не туалетная. Акварель требует от 600г/м² до бесконечности. Предпочтительна же 1000г/м², но она дороже. Купить такую я всё же рекомендую, не смотря на дороговизну. Потому что акварель тогда будет ощущаться куда лучше.

Can you find your favorite pencil here?
