its been a bit of a common theme of cayde being really confused throughout the entirety of the au so i feel almost reluctant to say hes like ?????? HUH at mara still being alive but he is ,, but not without being snarky about it

just because mostly everyone was convinced mara was kablootsky💥 its shocking at first whereas in the normal timeline pex is just like “oh okay we’re doing this now” and bowing immediately when contacting the queen through the oracle -- of course cayde DOESNT do that and his first instinct is to make joke about mara being alive

and mara absolutely does not approve of this lol ! its a bitter back and forth from there on out when the queen admits that her plan with uldren wasnt supposed to end in one of ‘her’ lightbearers demise. which rightfully pisses cayde off ! honestly im a big fan of the MCs of destiny being enemies of everyone so thats the gist of the au !

the only people cayde really gets along with are his friends in the tower but he still has friendly fun with those he doesnt really like ! its just who he is :]

I got the idea for this Lies of P collage when I came across echosong971's ship drawings on P and Eugénie. Although part of me would want to ship LOP Pinocchio with Sophia Monad, but him and Eugénie are cute too.

Eugénie is believed to be based on Eugene (Eugenio) from the original book, but like Eugénie who is a friend to P,  Eugene resents Pinocchio for being a better student. So the group of bullies he is a part of decide to make the living puppet pay by throwing school books at him. One of those books was Pinocchio's as it ends up hitting Eugene in the head and falls unconscious on the ground. Even though Pinocchio was the only one who stayed behind to tend to Eugene, the carabineers mistaken Pinocchio of being Eugene's aggressor and arrest him, all because he owns the book that hurt.

After learning this I was surprised, considered how nice Eugénie is to our hero. I know that lying is the key part of becoming human in the game, but there will be times when you have to tell the truth, one of those times will be directed at Eugénie. As that truth will uncover a secret that is connected to someone who once saved Eugénie.

Hey look! Antoher little snippet for @echosong971 Forsaken Role Swap. All credit to her as usual Fair warning, pretty dark folks. _____ Hate. Cayde hated him. This pathetic sniveling little worm. This smug piece of filth. This murderous lunatic. The one who took so much from so many. The one who took the one person who meant everything to Cayde away. And he chuckled. After all the atrocities he committed, he laughed, like the pain he caused meant nothing to him. Uldren said something but it didn’t register. All he heard was- “She didn’t feel a thing.” And Cayde snapped.  He grabbed Uldren before he could finish his little speil. His Ace and knife were in his hands before he knew it. He was in frenzy. All of his despair and hatred and fury came pouring out. He registered someone yelling at him-Sundance? Petra? Cayde didn’t care-shut up damn you I want him to suffer I want him in pain I want him dead I WANT him to BURN- “ENOUGH CAYDE!” He felt Petra grab him from behind, restraining him. He began to settle down. It was only then that he processed Uldren-battered and bloody on the floor, groaning in agony.  Once Cayde had stopped thrashing in her grip, Petra released Cayde. She then walked up to the prince, who let out a pathetic whine, and reached a quivering hand up, wordlessly begging for mercy. He received it. A single gunshot rang out. Uldren was dead. Cayde knew it would bring him no satisfaction. No joy.  He curled up into a ball on the floor. He sobbed. Sobbed like a baby. Pathetic. You’re pathetic. Couldn’t even save the one person you cared about. Got her killed just like Andal. Pathetic Pathetic Pathetic. “Oh Cayde.” He felt Petra crouch down and pull him in for an embrace. Sundance curled up alongside him. He didn’t hear Petra cry. But he knew she was. She lost so much, same as him. And it didn’t even mean a damn thing.
