"humans are inherently violent theres no way we could survive without a dictator to control us. its like wolves"
wolves only do that in captivity.
in the wild, an "alpha" wolf is just the breeding male, and the beta his mate. the puppies eat first. the alpha even hides food so the pups can learn to find it themselves. he cares for the pack.
in captivity, the wolves get stressed. they are trapped and react by becoming aggressive, fighting over resources simply from stress of lack of freedom.
capitalism forces us to fight over resources. there is no lack of resources, our dictators just withhold it from us. this makes us stressed, and much like the captive wolves, we get aggressive.
we make enemies where there are none, because like the wolves, we are captive.

I like meeting real anarchists. Anarchist do things. Things for their community, for the maintenance of every crucial aspect of their communal infrastructure. Anarchists don’t wait for the government to pave broken roads, the police to patrol the neighborhood for safety, or the messed up food industry to provide them with staple foods in times of need. We can do it ourselves. I love that.

So you may be thinking, anarchy, isn't that a bit drastic? Yes, and I may go back on this perspective in some number of years, but right now I think it's what the world needs. What I do believe is that the core principles of anarchy are often misconstrued by both the media and what we're taught in school.
Oxford Dictionary has two definitions for anarchy:
a state of disorder due to the absence or unrecognition of authority or other controlling systems.
the organization of society on the basis of voluntary cooperation, without political institutions or hierarchal government; anarchism
This being said, the political belief of anarchy (2) is often mixed up with the subject of state of disorder (1). What most attracts me to this faction is the concept that no one is free until we destroy hierarchal structures which serve to put people down based on class and other demographic factors such as race or gender. Along with this, the sub-faction of eco-anarchism believes that climate change and other environmental problems are the largest issues impacting our world today, and believes that radical action is needed to make any change. Seeing as how slowly it has taken to enact positive environmental legislation in society today through democratic principles, the next best step are those highlighted in the tenants of radical environmentalism.
In the end, no one is free until we are all free. "No gods, no masters."

Today we lost Ted Kaczynski. It's not surprising, we all knew that day was around the corner, considering his diagnosis, but hearing about it still shook me a bit. He was certainly not a flawless person, but his uncompromising devotion to defending the wild against the system of civilisation will forever earn him my respect. We need more people of such powerful character, determination and wit. Rest in power, Uncle Ted 💚

trying to write a very convincing and evidence-based speech against a natural gas pipeline and it's proving very difficult because i actually believe that every one of the motherfuckers responsible for funding this shit should be dragged from their homes and beheaded with a broadsword john brown style

anarcho-sophontism
Tumblr media
anarcho-sophontism is a far left political ideology that aims to eradicate hierarchies between humans and nonhuman beings in cognition, ability, and status. it maintains that consent is the right of all conscious beings and that all conscious beings should be granted sophonce and the ability to safely reason and consent to anything done to their bodies. it advocates for cognitive and morphological freedom for all species who are conscious. it attempts to amend the cruel aspects of natural ecosystems that ultimately leaves wild animals suffering without their consent from predation, diseases, starvation and violations on their bodies. it is a movement that rejects speciesism and carnism as "natural ways of the ecosystem" and aims to create an ecosystem of cooperation amongst all cognitive beings. anarcho-sophontism rejects the separation between society and wilderness and ultimately sees them as intertwined. by utilizing technologies to enhance cognition and bridge the communication gap between species, we can incorporate them into larger anarchist ecosociety and share the benefits of technology with them. the movement does not advocate for cruelty when modifying beings, but careful and ethical experimentation and testing with respect for the entity's wellbeing. it recognizes that consent should not be manufactured or bent to exploit children and that beings should reach maturity before consenting to relationships. it advocates for an ecology of care rather than an ecology of fear.

Many politicians pledge to be dedicated to the environment, and to put environmental issues first, but in reality many people often prioritize their own needs before those of the earth's. If we want a place to live in the future, action needs to be taken now!

a lot of leftists think that they wouldn't have to work in an anarchist society. this is not true. we would absolutely work a fuck of a lot less, and happier workers who work less are more efficient, but we would still work. someone has to tend the crops and livestock. someone has to build homes.
the thing is, we would work to benefit everyone. not everyone is able to work. some people are disabled. if some people put a little time into work a few times a week, not that much because we wouldn't need to mass produce stuff that is never used like capitalism forces us to, the small amount of work would help everyone.
also, there would absolutely be people who want to work. when you work to help people, most people want to put effort into it. the reason current exploited workers are unhappy is because they are payed next to nothing for too much work that only benefits a select few people who refuse to pay people.
i love working when it helps my family. i can spend hours in the garden, and i dont even need to work that long for the plants to be healthy. i do it because i enjoy it. ive met other people who love to work as well. i know someone who loves being an electrician.
work can be fun when its to help our communities. its enjoyable when we work when we want to. it feels good to provide in our own free will.
