I love that Ed Piskor makes such a good attempt at incorporating the pre-history of the X-Men story like the fight between Sub-Mariner and the original Human Torch.

Ed Piskor accused by multiple women of grooming and wrongdoing
Ed Piskor accused by multiple women of grooming and wrongdoing #comics #comicbooks
Ed Piskor is the creator behind the hit series Hip Hop Family Tree and X-Men: Grand Design and co-host of the popar Croostist Kayfabe. This past weekend, he was accused by multiple women for grooming and other wrongdoing. A fellow comic creator shared screenshots of conversations she and Piskor had through Instagram Stories. They’ve since been deleted. The screenshots featured conversations dated…

I just picked up X-Men Grand Design yesterday too. RIP Ed Piskor. An incredible talent lost to the insanity of the internet. When in doubt, just log off.

this definitely kept me up most of the night.
Cartoonist Kayfabe was a huge chunk of my media diet for the past four years... an infectious deep-dive into the craft of comics from 2 prominent creators whose ages, tastes, and journeys mirrored my own. Piskor's Red Room, a world-building splatterpunk satire of the internet's most toxic underbellies, has had an almost overwhelming influence on many elements of my own creative universe.
Just an absolute tragedy for all left behind.
PLEASE be fucking better.
“NEVER THE END…”

I am torn on news of Ed Piskor's Death. Yes I heard about the accusations and do not find them ok at all. Despite that as this is a most likely suicide ( the note and all) It's still getting a bit under my skin.
See I read and liked Red Room and X-Men grand design trilogy. I liked craftmanship and enjoyed YouTube channel Comics Kayfabe with Piskor &Jim Rugg.
41 years is still young. It is. And while I personally support person's rights including euthanasia, this feels wrong. If he was innocent of wrongdoings and bullied to suicide that is fucked up. If he was guilty this was a cowardly act to escape taking responsibilities.

Fear, Loathing, and Comics, at the Basement Sale (2012)
Dir. Julie Sokolow
Watching Ed, Jim, and Tom together here, diving in the dollar bins and talking comics, is so bittersweet.
Ed's impact on me will last through my days. What he and Jim built created a community of kind, like-minded people where, whatever our differences, our love of comics was shared.
Cartoonist Kayfabe had a culture of creation.
The mob/activists/cancel culture, whatever you want to call it, this sickness in our society. It is a culture of destruction.
They snuff out the bright lights.
They diminish all of us.
Ed, you have left a huge positive impression on so many people, and that is something that will live on in those of us you inspired forever.
