scarlett was born on a rainy night, in seattle, daughter of leyla khalil ramirez and no father in sight. as it were, it was more than fitting that she was born during a storm, as the years would pass and scarlett herself would prove to be a storm of a woman.

because her father wasn’t around, scarlett was raised solely by her mother. leyla was involved in the criminal life for as long as she could recall. growing up, scarlett was more or less involved in it. although her mother tried to keep her out of her business, she wasn’t naive; as such, from a young age she began teaching her how to fight, how to fire a gun, how to walk through a room without being noticed or alternatively, how to be the center of attention. initially, it was only as a means of self-defense. she wanted her to be ready should anything ( or anyone ) happen. but as time went on, the lessons also turned out to be a good outlet for scarlett’s anger. no one expected the petite girl to be able to hold her own, let alone take someone down, and being underestimated only fueled her. there was nothing more satisfying than seeing the look on their faces as she proved them wrong.

she always wondered about who her father was, or what had happened between her parents, why the hell he wasn’t by her mother’s side. whenever she brought up the subject, leyla told her that he had left to protect them. scarlett never bought it ... her mother did dangerous things, her life always threatened, yet she was still around. she’d always been around. for a while, scar thought it was her fault that her father left.

for the first few years of her life, she didn’t truly understand what it was that her mother did for a living or why she was so hellbent on teaching scarlett how to defend herself ( or how to conveniently get rid of someone ). while most of the girls her age were playing dress up and going to the mall, scarlett was learning the most effective ways to send a man thrice her size to the ground. leyla worked as a tattoo artist, but scar always knew there was more. something she wasn’t aware of, something she shouldn’t be aware of ... until the day came for her to find out. leyla was a hitwoman. 

the news didn’t shock scarlett as much as it probably should have. she was only 16 when her mother told her the truth, but she’d already gone through so much training, seen and done so much by then, that she simply saw the world differently. and she knew it was only a matter of time until she followed in her mother’s footsteps.

however, it wasn’t until one of her last conversations with her mother that leyla told her the truth about her father. scarlett learned that she was the product of a one night stand, that her father was a gang member, that he didn’t know she existed. she got a name and a town: eduardo ‘eddie’ jiminez, newton.

that was one of her last conversations with her mother because her mother got killed during a job gone wrong. an eighteen year old scarlett sought to avenge her mother, finding the one who had dared to take from her the only love she’d ever known. it didn’t matter that they’d most likely killed leyla to protect their own life. once that was taken care of, she packed up her things and set off with one destination in mind: newton. her father may not have known about her, and maybe he wouldn’t want anything to do with her, but she needed to see it for herself. she needed to see him for herself.

when she arrived in newton, it was fairly easy to find eddie given his position as former VP and then president in the diablos. the man was skeptical at first, for obvious reasons, but he’d welcomed her anyway. scarlett offered the idea of a paternity test, not only for his benefit but also for her own. she had nothing to lose and she knew her mother had no reason to lie, not about this. with scientific evidence, there were no doubts left. she was his daughter.

since then, they’ve been trying to make up for lost time ─ which proves to be even harder than one would already expect, given scarlett’s nature. still, she decided she was going to stay in newton officially. she also decided to take on his last name, which was more of a power play than anything else. she knows how the towns work and she’s not afraid to take advantage of it.

she became the owner of a tattoo parlour, named diamond ink, fully taking on the job as a tattoo artist. she does, however, work a less orthodox job on the side. just like her mother was, scarlett is a hitwoman.

she’s very private in general, actually. doesn’t like sharing too much about herself, tends to be more reserved. usually, it takes a while of knowing someone until she feels comfortable enough to open up, even about the smallest things.

she has a bit of a temper and is always getting into fights, can be impulsive and often times, reckless. doesn’t have much regard for her safety.

too headstrong and stubborn for her own good.

5′4 but the heels she always has on rarely lets people realize it tbh.

can be very manipulative. it’s how she was raised and she took to the part perfectly. more often than not, she’ll play someone solely because she can, because she wants to, because she’s good at it.

not about that forgive and forget kind of life. resent and remember is more her pace. she’s incredibly loyal ( though it’s hard to pinpoint where exactly her loyalty lies ) if you earn her trust, willing to kill and die for those she cares about, but once you wrong her she’s out, showing her resentful and unforgiving traits.

her nickname isn’t scar just because it’s short for her name. it truly does fit her. scarlett is deadly and vicious, and when she doesn’t want to leave a corpse behind, she still leaves marks ─ in more ways than one.

The Movie in My Mind: Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812

I’ve talked about a Great Comet movie before and have done a dream cast, but I wanted to go more in depth and give it another shot. As I’ve said before in another post I can fully get behind Baz Luhrmann directing this musical. I think he is the only person that would be able to bring this crazy musical to life on the big screen and have it translate well. If they had Luhrmann and the design team behind Moulin Rouge! (The movie not the awful stage adaption) work on this movie, it would be stunning! The marketing alone would be beautiful. Imagine something similar to the Into the Woods movie where they had the character portraits featuring quotes from said character, but instead, they use the lines from a prologue. You are walking along the street in NYC you just stopped at your favorite restaurant before you catch the evening performance of a show. As you walk down the street you see it. (This gets a bit vulgar, I apologize, but I’m creating a picture based off this one) A giant poster plastered onto the side of a building that says “Hélène” at the top in big, bold French Script. Below is Rihanna leaning against the wall of an old warehouse starring seductively, but directly into the camera with her mouth slightly ajar. She is in a gorgeous costume that shows every single one of her curves (and several of her tattoos) with just the right amount of cleavage that leaves you mesmerized, but doesn’t show everything. She is wearing sexy, black, lace gloves that go up to her elbows and has a rather tacky, but still gorgeous headpiece in her hair and she has diamond earrings, rings of different gemstones and around her neck several strands of pearls of different sizes, shapes, and colors. At Rihanna’s feet in a slightly smaller font than before it reads “is a slut.” (Okay that one might cause controversy, because of the word “slut”, but you get the idea)

Emily Bautista as Natasha Rostova

Now, I may be a bit biased about this, because of my knowing her, but I really think Emily Bautista would make a wonderful Natasha. Her lighter tone would bring an added layer of ingénuety to the role.

Hugh Jackman may not be my favorite person in the world, but I think he’d make a great Pierre and he is a huge box office draw.

Melissa is just an adorable human being and has a gorgeous voice. She recently made her Broadway debut as Carole King in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical and received wonderful reviews, but she is best known for her starring roles on Glee and as the titular role on Supergirl. Benoist has a great voice and her acting is just top notch.

Christine Baranski as Marya Dmitriyevna

If Christine applied the same demanding and sassy voice she used in Scooby-Doo! in Where’s My Mummy? (Rent it from your local library or message me for a link to watch it online) she’d be an absolutely thrilling Marya D. She also has previous movie musical experience with Into the Woods and both Mamma Mia films.

Brendon Urie as Anatole Kuragin

I originally had Grant Gustin as Anatole and then I had this aha moment and realized “Wait... Why the f*ck did I not think of Brendon first?” Brendon is best known as the lead singer of Panic at the Disco! and made his Broadway debut last year in Kinky Boots starring in the role of Charlie Price. He has a massive fan base which would be a great box office draw. In addition not only is he easy on the eyes he has vocal chords of steel and I’ve heard he is a phenomenal actor.

Rihanna as Hélène Bezukhova

We all know that if this ever gets made into a movie the role of Hélène will be cast with a pop star. Frankly, who better than Rihanna? Rihanna has a very sexy voice which would be perfect for Hélène. Her lower tone would make her all the sexier. With Rihanna as Hélène, they can release “Charming” as a single, and h*ll, even make a few dance remix to hype up the movie.

Corbin Bleu as Fedya Dolokhov

I don’t really have any explanation as to why I cast Corbin, but when I was casting this my second thought (After Rihanna being Hélène) was Corbin for Dolokhov.

Zac Efron as Andrey Bolkonsky

I think you just need one more big-time celeb for this role and Zac being the hunk that he is would bring in many different people and is another good box-office draw. Also he is just so pretty to look at.

Tim Curry as Old Prince Bolkonsky

Tim Curry would make a fantastic Old Prince Bolkonsky!!!! He may be in a wheelchair, but I think that’s why he’d be even greater.

Ali Ewoldt as Mary Bolkonskaya

You need someone with a classical voice and that’s that. Ali has a gorgeous voice and if she isn’t going to be Natasha she needs to be Mary.

James Corden as Balaga

I’m not a James Corden fan, but I think he’d make a good Balaga. Plus he with his late-night show would mean lots of free publicity. That’s pretty much all I have to say.

Variety Tell Me a Story Review

In theory and logline, “Tell Me a Story” is about the intertwining lives of New Yorkers that resemble some of the most famous fairy tales of yore. The new girl in town is an unwitting Red Riding Hood with a wolf tattooed on her thigh, surrounded by predatory men. A brother and sister, long estranged from and somehow still dependent upon each other, find themselves running from forces bigger than them in a twist on Hansel and Gretel. Three men in pig masks attempt a robbery that goes horribly wrong, ending in accidental death and a vengeful man hunting them, threatening to huff and puff and blow their lives to the ground. As per the series’ marketing and self-consciously “edgy” tone, “Tell Me a Story” wants to make sure you know that you’ve never seen these fairy tales play out like this before. And yes: all their lives have something to do with each other’s, whether or not they know it (yet).

In actuality, that doesn’t quite bear out. The new CBS All Access drama from thriller connoisseur Kevin Williamson ends up indulging more cliches than not. Red Riding Hood, aka Kayla (Danielle Campbell), accidentally on purpose ends up in an illicit relationship with her teacher (Billy Magnusson) while playing out “Gossip Girl” sideplots with her new rich friends. Eddie (Paul Wesley), one of the three little pigs, struggles with his conscience and addiction in a series of tight tank tops as grieving husband Jordan (James Wolk) tries to prove his guilt. Hansel and Gretel, aka Gabe (Davi Santos) and Hannah (Dania Ramirez), come with more interesting backstories of abandonment and sacrifice, but they quickly get swallowed up in the story of them skipping town.

Will the story progress up to the last season to show us what will happen to everyone, when they’re old and gray? And hopefully not leave us with a cliffhanger. At least make everyone happy. Also, can I please request that everyone end up happy and Nevada doesn’t die in his line of work/ironically from a stroke caused by Lily or something lol would be hilarious though! Oh And Omar gets his job back and hopefully gets back together with Amber. Oh and to know what will happen to Rafael and Roxie!

We actually can’t say much to this question guys… It’s an amazing question! But neither myself or Amanda are fans of spoilers so we plan on keeping the ending under wraps for now. But I can promise Lily won’t give Nevada a stroke. Jesus, I hope not lol

Do Nevada and Dama plan to raise NJ like they did Eddie? Or will Nevada try to teach him so of the “business” ? I think Nevada will not want that for NJ like he didn’t want it for Eddie … Right?

For some reason, I’m imagining Nevada not to have tattoos although if Dama has and he’s been like, badass for ever, it’s natural to assume he has. I just can’t picture it. So question to either the cast or authors: does he have a tattoo/multiple and of what and when did he get them if he has any. I actually hope Nevada doesn’t have any tattoos cuz I like him just Nevada. I’d rather just imagine him to only have packs and the build of a man to die for <3

Dama: A strong connection on both a mental and physical level, common interests and things to do together, special things only you two do. Like anal, or pottery.

Nevada: I hate pottery. Everything else, yeah. We like to try new shit every once in awhile.

Dama: And if one of us suggests things, we always gives two options. Like…we could go bird-watching or we can put on expensive clothes and have sex on a pile of money. It’s all about options.

Lily: A question for me? Papi look! Someone ask-ed me a question! Ummm I like my mami because she is the prettiest person in the whole wide world and she looks like a princess! She makes me Mac and Cheese and she even still does the sippy cup song with me and NJ and Fi. But Fi doesn’t like it. But Fi doesn’t like anything.

For Papi, I like that he brushes my hair and tells me bedtime stories. He gives the bestest cuddles in the UNIVERSE! Which mama says is bigger than just the world. Papi also comes home from work and plays with me, even though sometimes I can tell that he sleepy.

Nevada: Oye, what about me being the most handsome man in the whole world, princesa? You don’t think papi’s handsome?

Lily: *giggles* No! Papi’s aren’t handsome! Papi look like a troll!

Nevada: Ah si?

Lily: Papi’s can’t be handsome silly! Otherwise the princess would marry them and not the prince!

Nevada: You just said your mother looks like a princess. Oye, you hurt my feelings, no more tea parties for you. *crosses arms and looks away*

Amanda: Are you for real? She’s six.

Nevada: *shrugs defiantly*

Lily: *Bottom lip trembles as eyes fill with tears*

Jen: Now he’s done it.

Nevada: *to Dama* Nothing to say?

Dama: *Still laughing from the troll comment*

Nevada: *gets up and leaves the room*

Amanda: Aye, he’s so fucking sensitive. *bites bottom lip* Please don’t tell him I said that. *looks at Lily* Lily, your papi just wanted you to say he was handsome, you don’t have to mean it.

Lily: Mami says not to lie *sniffles*

Dama: *Kneels* Sweetheart, you said the princess marries the prince right?

Lily: Si.

Dama: Well then if I’m the princess, that makes papi the prince, right?

Lily: Oh! *Hurries out to Nevada and hugs him* Papi don’t be sad. I love you so much! Mami says you’re the prince! So you’re the most handsomest!

Nevada: You don’t mean it. *gives her a puppy pout*

Lily: I do! I do! Mami said if she’s the princess then you’re the handsome prince!

Nevada: Mami says… *sighs and gets up, walking with Lily back into the interview room*

Lily: Papi is the handsomest! I mean it papi! Right mami? *Nevada rolls his eyes* Tell him!

Dama: *Smiles* I’ve always thought so.

Questions for Omar: Do you still love Amber?

Omar: I’ll always love Amber, but I’m not in love with her. No.

Has Fallon grown on you or did you love her unconditionally the first time you saw her?

Omar: She’s growing on me, I guess. Shit, she didn’t do anything to me. I got no reason to hate her.

On that note,how is fatherhood treating you?

Omar: She’s not dead, that’s something right?

Amanda: *looking at Omar with an expressionless face* Where did you go?

Omar: What?

Amanda: You’re not the same Omar anymore, it creeps me out a little.

Chapter 3

I am so sorry that this update has taken so long. So much has been going on that I simply don't have enough time in the day. However I hope to get not only this one but the rest of my stories update. So enjoy! Chapter 3

Mid October was wonderfully mild in peach creek. This led Edd, and Mona to have most of their sessions on the hill overlooking the cul-de-sac, since it became quickly apparent that Mona had trouble concentrating in doors. "Dee you need to relax, we have all year." Mona mumbled absently as she focused on the list of ideas she was currently compiling for their art project. Edd slid a mildly annoyed look at the girl who had decided to use him as a back rest while he laid in the grass on his stomach. Over the last month and a half, the genius had grown used to the girl's habit of intiating physical contact and had even grown to enjoy it. What he had not grown accustomed too was not having an assignment completed within a week of it being assigned. " I understand that Mona but I can't help the persistant feeling of not having any and all assignments completed as soon as possible. I think our art teacher hates me." The girl chuckled as he sighed and tapped his ear with her pencil. "Your just irritated because she decided that we all had to have assigned themes and certain guide line for our projects." Edd released a snort. Two weeks into school Ms, Ramirez had informed the class in her grateingly cheerful voice that they all not only had to pull a random theme, but they had to feature multiple characters and had to have a minimum of four pieces. "While I am still perturbed with Ms, Ramirez just springing that on her unsuspecting students and I find her overly enthusiastic attitude grating to the nerves, I am not comfortable being completely out of my element. Not only do I lack artistic ability, I am not overly thrilled with our theme." Mona grinned as she continued writing. "What? Is 'Intense romantic passion' not something you would enjoy portraying?" Edd turned red and buried his face in the grass causing the girl to strain to hear his mumbling. "I have no experience with anything resembling that level of emotional attachment." A soft laughter caused the Raven haired male to role over and sit up so he could glare at his companion. At his look the girl quieted but continued to smile. "I don't mean to laugh but it's kind of adorable how you appoach things so analytically and things like emotions confuse you." Edd tried to ignore his blush at her comment and grumbled. Mona checked the time on her phone and began to put her stuff away. "Do you have plans tonight?" The boy shrugged. "Eddy expects me at the holloween dance but I don't really wanna go." "Then don't, did you say you would go?" Edd shook his head. " Well no, but Eddy fully expects me to be there." Mona stood up and grabbed her bag. "That's on him, if you want you can come to the ink party Kevin and I are throwing in his garage. Nothing big just a few of us from the Cul-da-sac." Edd felt a strange pulling in his gut at the thought of how much time Mona and kevin had been spending together but he couldn't decide if it was positive or negative, so naturally he ignored in favor of his curiosity. "What pray tell, is an ink party?" Mona grabbed her bag and through the boy a wink. " Come by at 7 and find out." _______________________________________________________________ The clock struck seven as Edd continued to pace back and forth, battling with indecision. He wanted to go see Mona, and though he would never admit it, he wanted to go see kevin. but despite his curiosity he was mildly frightened of what an ink party could be. He knew Mona was into the more intense and less socially approved side of life and he had found that he had tried many new things since spending time with the wild child. At 7:15 curiosity won and with shaking knees Edd headed across the street to kevins. There was a soft glow and a strange buzzing sound coming from behind the garage door signaling that the party was already underway. The genius swallowed and knocked on the side door, still arguing with himself. Rolf answered the door and with a loud laugh dragged the other boy inside. "It is good to see you to-smart-for-his-own-good Edboy!" Edd smiled and opened his mouth to reply when he spotted the cause of the strange buzzing. Needless to say he was surprise. "Nicola Tesla be with me! IS THAT A TATTOO GUN!?!?!" Mona glanced up from Kevin's shoulder and grinned "Dee! you made it! and yes it is, excellent observation." Edd rolled her eyes at her sarcasm and sat on one of the several lawn chairs set up in the room. "You do know underage tattooing is illegal yes?" Kevin snorted. "Relax dude, she only inks people in the Cul-Da-Sac and anyone who squeals knows that payback Will be swift." Edd quirked an eyebrow at the fierceness of Kevin's tone. He would almost be convinced that it was because Kevin didn't want to get in trouble, however the light pink that blossomed in Mona's cheeks and the soft smile she had as she ducked her head closer to her work signaled that something else was at play. The feeling was back again as he observed them, both as individuals and as a pair. Still he could not place what it was, so instead he turned and intiated a conversation with Rolf on pleasures of farm life. Two hours later Mona leaned back and shut off the machine. After cleaning up the excess ink, she handed Kevin a Mirror and leaned against his bare back. "How does it look good sir?" The red head nodded in approval before walking Rolf out and Edd couldn't help but agree. two classically colored koi seemed to dance together down Kevin's upper right arm as ocean blue roses entangled the two. "Wow Mona, I am extremely impressed." Edd stated as he got up to get a closer look. Mona smiled and quirked a brow. " Would you like one? I promise I am very clean." Edd choked on the soda he was drinking from and gave the girl a slightly panicked look. Mother and Father would be furious! I couldn't possibly." Mona continued to smile as she continued to perch on her stool, her tools lined up neatly on the table beside her. "Is that your only reason? If so I can put it where they won't ever see it. hell as covere as you keep yourself I could tat your entire back and no one but me would know." "And me." Kevin stated as he re-entered the room and leaned sprawled out on the couch. "Sweet! Is Dee getting some ink too?" Mona looked at Edd expectantly, waiting for him to answer. Edd began mumbling to himself as he calculated the gains versus the risks. " W, well. I have always been interested in the ancient art of tattooing, Ah, and I would love the experience....But what if someone were to see? We could get in a lot of trouble!" Mona laughed and stood from her perch. "They won't trust me." Edd squeaked in panc as the girl began removing her clothing. "Mona! What in heaven's name are you doing?" "Making a point." Edd looked at kevin for help but the red head only winked and through the genus a thumbs up causing him to blush further. Edd turned back to face Mona but lost his words of discouragment as he stared at the now revealed flesh. "Oh...My" A branch of cherry blossoms crept its way up Mona's side while a butterfly with the word 'Hope' and a tribal design resided on her left arm. A sickle moon and black star was inked into her right forearm and a winged heart was nestled on her upper left thigh. "They are beautiful, but I fail to see the point." Kevin snickered as Mona redressed and sat back on her stool. "They point is Dee, you only know about her ink because she wanted to show you. Hiding tats ain't that hard." The genius pondering the other boy's words before stealing his nerves. "Why not, lets go for it." Mona grinned. "Sweet, what and where Love?" Edd shrugged. " Why not really go for it? Do a back piece." Kevin looked at the brunette in surprise. " Are you sure? Thats a big commitment." Edd thought to himself for a bit more before nodding firmly, a look of determination flooding his face. "I'm sure, if I'm gonna put myself through this experience than I should do so with gusto. Mona clapped her hands with glee and began cleaning her gun and replacing needles. " Excellent, do you know what you want or is it dealers choice?" Edd paused then shrugged. " I'll allow you to mke the decision, I am confidant enough in your knowledge of me not to choose some obscene." The girl grinned and patted the seat in front of her.  " Awesome, take off your shirt and pop a squat." THe genius blanched. "What?" Kevin sighed "Dude, you gotta take off your shirt so she can reach your back. We ain't gonna molest ya." Edd rose a brow at the red head's choice of words then shrugged it off as a slip. Mona gave a sound of a appreciation as he removed his upper clothes and sat down. " Dude how come you hide the fact you work out?" Edd tensed. "How do you know that?" Mona shrugged as she began free hand sketching her design. "I'm a tattoo artist, understanding the curves in the human form is what I do. You might not be bulky but underneath you have ample amount of muscle."  Edd blushed not only at her words but at her probing touch. "We, well. I was tired of having to have Ed or eddy defend me all the time but anytime I tried to get in shape and people knew they would make fun of me. So I do light weight training at night in my room and I swim in the lake three times a week." The brunette looked up and locked eyes with kevin. The red head had a look of intensity as he stared at the other male. Edd couldn't decipher what such a look would mean, only that it filled him with sensations that were not unpleasant. The low purr of the gun caught Edd's attention and his nerves tingled in anticipation. "I have to warn you Edd..." Mona muttered as she leaned over his back. " After this you might be addicted." And then she began.
