all of my illustration pieces for the most recent eddsworld eddisode Surf and Turf Wars Part 2!
Genuinely thrilled to have this out in the wild now! i can't believe that just over a year ago i'd discovered Eddsworld for the first time, and now i'm contributing to its legacy! It's a real honour :D
For the montage sequence, it was a very fun challenge! Our co-director, Andy, gave us briefs in the form of written prompts for what they wanted, and between sydney and I, we both had a blast working through them! Also gave me an opportunity to slide in some of my favorites, like Kim and Katya >:)
For Sydney's spectacular drag race illsutrations, I also provided some concepts for the guys' dresses. I'll hold on to them for now in case they decide to release them through the patreon, but I hope people get to see those eventually!
Okay, ramble over now. Thank you to everyone who checked out the new episode and enjoyed the silly antics, if you have any questions please feel free to leave them in my inbox :)

So…Surf & Turf Wars pt. 2 came out and:
It, as a whole was just kind of alright to be completely honest
the lobster Matt monster kind of didn’t amount to anything i was expecting and drove to much away from Edd and Tom
But the time they did have on screen was fine enough, love the drag race seen in the montage
also that weird shipping joke before the montage? I didn’t find it that funny or surprising, just, directed at the EW shippers and calling them weirdo’s for what ever reason [I mean, I KNOW why for some shippers, buuut, still, kind of weird.]
And the jokes in general haven’t been that great in Beyond, especially in this episode, relying on random characters we know nothing about to tell them for some reason? [I love random background characters just as much as the next guy but…I think we have enough at this point.]
I don’t know. I’m glad it came out, love the art and voice acting for the most part, but it was still a bit average in my opinion.
I think the problem with Beyond right now is Matt’s directing, it started off good in Casting Call [which isn’t considered an actual Eddisode] but started going down hill at Slippery Slope[?] [ Literally haven’t watched that Eddisode more then once when it came out]
He’s trying to be like a strange combination of Edd’s humor and Tom’s humor and it just isn’t working at all. :/
He’s trying his best and I appreciate that but, this just feels like he’s trying to do what the community wants in the most backwards way possible.
This isn’t a “EW discourse” post, it’s just me putting my opinion on an Eddisode out there because I think it needed to be said.

Britain's gayest one-off characters
Yeah I'm back on my traditional shit for a minute, give me a break I enjoy it
Also I need to stress: GIVE THEM A COMICAL AGE DIFFERENCE
I'm not talking about "ohhh I'm fresh out of college 21 and impressionable and he's balding in his 60s" no I'm talking about Bing's like 36 with stupidly good genetics that makes him look 25-30 and Larry is an old man like 48,, maybe just entering his 50s or something, cursed with the worst genetics known to man, ex-MI6 agent (definitely not on the run from them after having done something INCREDIBLY illegal,, what,,, who said that?) and Bing flunked out of college his like second year there
I can't believe I haven't thought of them sooner, that is upsetting
