Here is what the American website said about Jacob, from at least July 13th, 2017, to February 7th, 2020:

THE SOLDIER JACOB SEED “Preparedness through pain.” This is Jacob’s mantra. As the Cult’s recruiter and former Army marksman, big brother Seed’s main duty is protecting the Project at Eden’s Gate.

On or before March 27th, 2018, a video was added. The text didn’t change.

Here is the video:

The first two sentences of the description were not on the European website, but the rest was identical.

Commentary

I probably would have said Jacob’s mantra either was “Sacrifice the weak” or “Cull the herd” instead, but “Prepareness through pain” works too. I don’t remember the fact he was a marksman when he was in the Army is explicitly mentioned in the game or even in The Book of Joseph, but considering his weapon of choice is a sniper rifle, that makes sense to me!

Thinking about the seed family and how they are all so broken and I made myself cry when I realized that they never really get another chance to see each other. Joseph only appears to them when the character is destroying their project and 🥹…. It’s heartbreaking. Which is why I head cannon that they spend more time together and they actually are a family.

Long post ahead!!

Does anyone else get depressed, hurt and upset when playing Far Cry New Dawn?

Because I do!!!!

I actually love the game. It’s colours, sceneries, the story line and etc. BUT!!

What I don’t like is running around Hope County and not hearing John, Jacob or Faith’s voices..

I don’t like that everything that belonged to Jacob Seed was completely wiped away from New Dawn. His region is completely gone under radiation. Only time we get to see his bunker is when we fight a bear! We only see a note written by a cult member about Jacob 😭😭😭 my mountain baby!

But what truly hurts is when you travel around Hope County and see the street signs like:

Then there is the mission where you gotta go into John’s bunker 😭😭

Or into the bunker where Joseph and your deputy lived for years and the notes that the Deputy left behind:

What hurts more is when you walk into New Eden and get greeted by the Judge or should I say, the deputy:

Or the fact that John, Jacob and Faith aren’t in New Eden at all. They never made it because of us!! 😭😭

Just think about it:

Jacob isn’t training the Chosen to fight against Mickey and Lou, and the highwaymen.

Faith isn’t there to give New Eden residence the Faith they need to get through this new war.

No John to guide them through life without sinning.

Just Joseph! The Father! At the end, we see how badly Joseph wants to be with his brothers and sister again!

I cry when I think about John, Jacob and Faith looking down on Joseph and seeing the pain and suffering he goes through without them! I just imagine them looking down and watching everything unfold in New Dawn

Far Cry New Dawn makes me miss The Seed family! It’s hard to see Hope County without them and Eden’s Gate cult 😭

I finally got another commission by the amazing @trustymikh and again I’m TOTALLY stunned. I gifted it myself for my birthday in February and it’s literally a masterpiece and was worth the long wait! All these details and love in it.

Lukasz joined the cult not because he was religious or something- he joined them because he was alone in the world and they promised him a family. And that was exactly what he got. Especially the Seeds are the most important people in his life now.

Joseph always treated Lu with kindness and tolerance, he was like a real father to him.

Jacob enjoys every minute with the boy, acting like a lovely uncle. (Great to see in this post)

And John loves nobody more than him, he’s the best boyfriend Lukasz could’ve ever imagined.

That’s why Lukasz is a Seed. He’s a part of them, no matter what other would say. They’re not related, don’t have the same blood, but there’s something way deeper connecting them.

Of course not to forget the adorable pets of this family. They all belong to Lukasz.

We’ve got his original friend Xante, a domesticated silver fox. He was the only one Lukasz had before the cult. Xante was his travel buddy through the USA and listens to everything his owner says.

Then there’s Lukasz’s dream pet, a real Virginia Opossum. Rey was a gift by John when they started dating. He’s somehow like their child now.

And the little ferret names Ope. Lukasz once hade one back in his past life at work, but sadly it died cause of old age. After Lukasz got his own zoo in the cult, he also received some ferrets. One of his became his pet and loves traveling on their shoulders.

That’s it! I can’t describe how much I love this Seed family picture. It’s just perfect.

Has anyone else noticed how the citizens of Hope County seem to mainly treat John like a nuisance? Like they are TERRIFIED of Jacob and Joseph and they fear Faith. But John seems like he’s more just an annoying fly at the picnic. Poor John tries so hard to be intimidating and most everyone’s gut reaction is annoyance rather than fear
