Just so we’re clear, if you sent a nice ask and I haven’t answered it, I’m hoarding it like a dragon so that when i’m down i can go to the ask box and re-read them. 

If it’s a question or a request i’m adhd and depressed and will find the energy for it eventually.

why don't you want people to repost your art?

Reblog = people sharing your work which has credits, artist comments, and sources back to you. People who find your work by chance and want to see more can do so.

Repost = people sharing your work without credits, doesn’t source back to you and if you didn’t watermark it, there’s a good chance they won’t be able to find you. 

Reposting is disrespectful to the artist.  Rather than helping them gain exposure and a wider audience, taking the image and making a new post is about getting exposure/likes/reblogs for yourself, you’re using someone else’s hard work to do it.  It also makes it harder for people who might want to hire said artist do so.  It also insulates the artist- if they don’t know that thousands of people are liking and sharing their work because someone reposted it and later find out, it’s extremely lonely and isolating because they were never allowed to be a part of that experience.

I see my stuff show up on forums, pintrest, and other places and while I don’t mind people sharing, it’s disheartening on the occasions where I get messages from people who had to jump through hoops just to find me and I think about all the people who couldn’t be bothered or just plain couldn’t find me because someone took my work.

This is why I have watermarks on everything, ya’ll get to suffer them because some people can’t be bothered to just reblog instead of reposting.
