I love perfumes so I was really excited when this ask dropped into my inbox! I'm not an expert, however, so I'm not naming individual perfumes but rather more general scents. If you have suggestions for each character, feel free to send them in!

Dazai Osamu

Dazai is the real chameleon of the bunch. I wouldn’t say he has a particular scent that he prefers on a female s/o, but he does like it when you have a signature scent. Something that encapsulates you and that you wear all the time.

Scent is tied closely to our memories, so he likes having an easy way to remind himself of you. It doesn’t matter if your scent is spicy, smoky, earthy, sweet or fruity—Dazai will figure out what perfume you’re using and get his hands on a bottle.

He secretly sprays it when he’s by himself, just to fill his head with the scent of you.

Fyodor Dostoevsky

Light, airy, floral scents.

Fyodor has an idealised image of you as his wife, and that image includes a lot of white lingerie and flowers. Even if you don’t particularly subscribe to that aesthetic, he loves it when you smell like you just walked through a spring meadow. Light scents that are not overpowering are his favourite. A hint of perfume that only he can get close enough to you to pick up on.

He has a tendency to walk up behind you, take hold of your waist, and press his face against the side of your neck, brushing a kiss down the side of your throat while he breathes you in.

Nakahara Chuuya

Darker, smokier scents, with hints of cinnamon or spice.

Perhaps he’s just spent too much time smoking in bars, but Chuuya’s head is easily turned by a delicious, smoky, spicy scent. Something a little seductive or even witchy. Cinnamon and patchouli, sandalwood and incense. If it’s heady and dark, he loves it.

Edogawa Ranpo

Sweet, fruity, candy scents.

Do you even need to ask why? Ranpo loves it if you smell like you just walked through a candy store. There are perfumes that smell like toffee or candyfloss or vanilla. If you’ve spritzed yourself in one of these scents, he’ll be all over you.

Beware, he might bite a little, just to see if you taste as sweet as you smell.

He will be demanding snacks though, since your perfume made him hungry.

Edgar Allen Poe

Dark, earthy, heavy floral or evergreen scents.

Poe is drawn to a strong but not overpowering scent on a female partner. If you walk past him on wafts of dark, intoxicating florals or sharp and fresh evergreen scents, then it definitely turns his head. It makes him think of old libraries, hidden secrets, and dark, primordial forests.

Absolutely LOVES it

Although you never put up with his banter and Suicidal tendencies (which is annoying to him) he loves the side of you that will do just about anything with him as long as it's fun

Although his suicidal ways annoy you most times, there were at least once or twice you tried suicide with him

It obviously didn't work

Plus you got a scolding from Kunikida which was not pleasant

When it comes to work, you and he are teamed up a lot

Which has allowed him to see just how kick-ass you are

There was one time you took out an entire group of Port Mafia members without his help at all

Although he did fall first, that was the moment he fell for you hard hard

I feel like on missions he's like a damsel in distress on purpose just to allow you to save him

Your relationship is always full of excitement that's for sure

Kunikida

He's very cautious around you that's for sure

You do have the courtesy to do your work semi-on time,

But also your laid-back attitude scares him sometimes

He knows you're strong and can take care of yourself, but also fears that one day you'll be in over your head and he won't be there to help

But you definitely are the one thing that calms him down at the end of a long day, which he is incredibly grateful for

Atsushi:

God, he is smitten with you

He falls more in love with you every day

He admires your laid-back attitude so much, the way you can just do something without thinking is amazing to him

During fights, it's typically you saving him a lot

You holding him in your arms is an amazing feeling to him, he feels safe with you

It's usually you paying for food with him since you impulsively go out to eat a lot

Ranpo

Omg he loves it

His snacks? Always refilled.

His need to go out of the office and do something? Fulfilled.

His need for someone to cuddle and take a day nap with? BOOM, BOOM BOOM

You two genuinely will do anything with each other

Poe

Poor baby worries about you a lot

He loves when you're carefree, but much like Kunikida worries for your safety

You run a lot of errands for him, which he is grateful for

But he is very much an introvert, which means it's hard to get him out of the house

Which means you two do a lot of stuff inside rather than going out

Chuuya

He's both very impressed by you, but also terrified for you

Your fighting skills are incredible, and he knows you'll always be there to catch him when he falls

But he's also terrified of you falling instead.

Chuuya has lost a lot of people in his life, and he's honestly terrified of losing you

Weekly dinner dates are definitely a thing, followed by whatever you wanna do after

This has made a lot of random long stories about you two getting into trouble

Both being port mafia executives have made you two close-in combat, meaning he has gotten to see you fight up close and personal

Definitely has flirted with you in the middle of fights because of that

Nikolai

Omg he's in love with you

You always are down to do anything with him which he loves

You help within the Doa and typically are with Nikolai whenever shit goes down

Nikolai's ability protects him very well, but the few times you've had to step in he's constantly screeching and flirting in the midst of battle

Nikolai never is one to worry about you at all, he just enjoys doing anything and everything with you

Sigma

Oh boyyyy he is so scared for and of you

You're a helper in the casino which is typically an easy job

But he's seen the way you recklessly say and do anything which scares him a lot

the few times he has seen you fight, he's amazed but also horrified for you.

Lots of reassurance and comfort after for this bb

Jouno

He doesn't humor you like many of the others do

You can beg and beg for him to do anything, it just makes him amused at you

Typically your days are full of training

Fighting, however, is when he lets you have some fun

You fight any way you wish and he'll just stand by and listen for if you need help

Can you do as many bsd characters as you can reacting to their S/O getting emotional on their birthday because they "didn't think they would make it this far"? Like they struggled with severe depression and suicidal thoughts/SH in their childhood and honestly didn't expect to make it to the age they are now? ♡ he’s just not sure exactly how he should approach the issue or how he can actually help you

♡ but he really does want you to feel well

♡ it’s likely he’d wait for a calm moment between the two of you when there’s not much else going on

♡ because they’re not!! your feelings are perfectly valid to him

♡ so instead he only subtly touches on the topic near the end of the day once everything begins to settle down.

♡ despite his skills as a detective, ranpo can be pretty oblivious

♡ but he knows that somethings up, even if he doesn’t know what

♡ and he doesn’t like that! it’s your birthday! and you’re his partner!

♡ he thinks you really deserve to be happy and have a good day

♡ and he thinks that beating around the bush won’t help you feel better

♡ so while he will initially wait for you to tell him yourself

♡ if he decides your taking to long, he’ll just jumpstart the conversation

♡ so he very bluntly asks what’s wrong with you

♡ it might’ve come off as rude if you didn’t know him better, but you can tell he genuinely wants to know

♡ when you do tell him he’s kind of like ‘oh’

♡ and he sits there quietly for a little while

♡ because he doesn’t exactly know what to say

♡ it’s not often that he cares about being sensitive with others feelings and being careful about making them happy

♡ but when it’s you, he puts in a lot more effort to watch his words

♡ he thinks a lot more before he speaks, because he really does care about how you feel

♡ “you didn’t think you’d make it this far, but you did, didn’t you? you’ve made it through.” he pauses for a second before beginning to speak in a quieter tone. “and you’re going to keep making it through. so don’t be sad anymore… please?”

♡ a single person in this list that actually has good communication skills?? impossible.

♡ but for real, yosano doesn’t beat around the bush

♡ the second she gets an inkling that you’re not doing well, she brings up the topic

♡ she’s not overly blunt to the point of rude, but she’s also not skittish around the topic

♡ a soft ‘are you alright?’ with a concerned glance to you

♡ when you do explain she’s very understanding

♡ while she may not specialize in psychology, it’s still something she has some basic knowledge of

♡ so even though she can’t say she’s experienced the same feelings you have, she very much so understands them

♡ “and yet you’ve persevered despite the circumstances. i know it hasn’t been easy, but you did it anyways. it took a lot of strength and i believe that’s more than enough cause to celebrate. because you deserve a wonderful birthday and many more.”

♡ whether it’s you finally confessing to him about the way you’d feeling

♡ whoever brought it up, when you do begin to explain he’s very quiet, encouraging you to speak your mind without interruption before he responds

♡ unlike chuuya, jouno is very observant, especially when it comes to you

♡ especially since he was aware of your history with both self harm and suicidal thoughts before now

♡ while jouno is very much used to observing and being aware of how others felt, due to their heartbeat

♡ he’s not at all used to actually caring the way he does when it comes to you

๋࣭ ⭑ ranpo smirked upon hearing your sentence. "can i have a taste?" you asked, pointing to his candy in his hand. he was seated ontop of a work desk in the middle of the agency. "of this~?" he teased, and with a nod he jumped to his feet. as your hand was out and ready for him to give you the sucker, you felt him take your hand instead, the candies in his mouth. "ranpo-" you suddenly felt his lips connect to yours, his tounge licking your lips. couple seconds of him kissing you felt like hours, but when you felt his tounge push itself into your mouth with the candy now in your mouth, you blushed hard. your face full-on red. he pulled back, grinning at you. "how's it tastle, hm~?" he asked, and you stuttered out a sentence. before he could kiss you again, the sound of someone hitting a wall and a "OW" caused both you and ranpo to turn your heads to see atsushi on the flor rubbing his head, papers scattered all over the place. "ow- uh..." he looked back at you both and chuckled nervously. ranpo looked back at you to see you hide your face into his neck and your arms wrapped around his torso. quickly, atsushi ran out of the room, leaving the papers on the floor. ranpo felt himself blush slightly, but he lept his composure. "well...did it taste good?" he shrugged.

๋࣭ ⭑ poe kissed your lips gently, unsure if what he was doing was correct. he was just wanting to complete his novel, but the way your hips moved on his lap made him...desprate. he messaged his fingers up and down your spine, his hands going into your shirt every now and then. you wrapped your legs tighter around his waist, trying your best not to fall with how far he's making you arch your back. giggles escaped your lips when his fingers reached your sides, "ticklish?" he smiled at your nod. he placed his hands on your hips while his lips kissed a sweet spot on your nech he's recently discovered. mid-moan, you covered your mouth whe you heard the door suddenlu open and ranpo's figure caused you to fall onto your ass on the floor, "y-y/n!" poe cried, blushing when he noticed ranpo standing at the door. "weeell~ i was going to read your newest novel, but i can see you have other plans. i will come back later~" ranpo smirked, closing the door as he walked out. poe was speechless, karl sitting on his head as he looked back down at you, "did-did you want to-" "moment as passed, babe."

๋࣭ ⭑ yosano licked her lips, gripping onto your hips and pinned you into the desk of her office. all you did was gently tap her ass as she was looking through files, causing her to almost instantly pin you. "how bold you are, y/n~ tapping my ass like that out of no where..." she licked your neck, wetting it before going in and kissing the living hell out of it. you moaned, arching your back and grabbed her shirt, gripping it tightly. "a-akiko-" you tried your best to not scrunch your neck, causing her to move to your lips. she slid her hands up your shirt, untugging it from your pants and let her hands roam free-"oh nonono, don't mind me.." dazai's voice caused yosano to bite your lip, pulling away from you to look at the man. she removed her hand from your skin and held your shoulders. "d-dazai!" you stutter out, looking at him look for papers by his desk. "just neeeeed, aha! here it is~" he smirked at you two before turning on his heels to leave, "you may continue~ it took a while to notice me in the first place you two could've kept going like i was never here~" yosano grabbed her heel and threw it hard in dazai's direction, however he closed the door in time for the heel to hit the wodden door instead of his face. the woman sighed, attention back to you, "yosano..this bump on my lip wasn't always here.." you whined.
