Funguary Feb 18 - Edible Shaggy Ink Cap - Coprinus comatus
The self-aware and self-digesting edible shaggy ink cap can be found only seldomly unlike the mushroom it resembles. It has frequently generated bodhicitta, a spontaneous wish to attain Buddhahood for the benefit of all sentient beings. Through acceptance of the nature of cycle and decay, it is has learned to consume and calm the self to attain enlightenment. The opposite of humans, it has attained nirvana first, then transcended birth, old age, disease, death, sorrow, lamentation, pain, distress of mind and weariness.
The fresh linen tablecloth had been steamed and pressed. The flowers arranged neatly along the table. Cake stands, with multiple tiers laden with tiny custard tarts and fruits glittering like jewels, were arranged at intervals. Porcelain teapots, steaming with Earl Grey and English Breakfast, sat on sweet little trays. The tea party was ready, and the guests were about to arrive!

this word, it does not mean what you think it means...
THE 119-YEAR-OLD HAM, WHICH IS reportedly the oldest in the world, was originally cured in 1902 by the Gwaltney Foods meat company before it was lost in storage. On its rediscovery two decades later, the elated Pembroke D. Gwaltney Jr. made the piece of pork his “pet ham.” He put a brass collar on it and paraded it around various expositions to prove to customers his meat could be kept without being refrigerated.
