WHAT IS PROJECT BWAY?

project bway is a friendly competition designed to encourage theatre lovers to create and share new content. through project bway, we hope to bring a larger appreciation to all shows. there will be a new theme with challenges posted every week.

HOW TO ENTER

must be following the projectbway blog and the producers - caitlyn, cossette, and mary.

reblog this post

the deadline to enter will be september 25th. each participant will then be messaged a link to the discord.

once all of the participants have been rallied up, you will each be randomly grouped together in teams. each team will be headed by an admin.

HOW DOES PROJECT BWAY WORK?

a few days before the beginning of each week, there will be a theme issued out with challenges that each team must complete in order to gain points.

it is through participation only that a team can earn points.

each creation (edit, gifset, fanart, fanfic, fanmix, etc) will get one point.multiple creations are more than welcome, and will continue to gather points for your team!

if a team member posts content that does not correlate to the challenge, is whitewashed/palewashed or is stolen, there will be no points issued.

OTHER (NEED TO KNOW)

projectbway will run from 10/1 to 10/31.

the theme for the week will be posted on the monday before.

track the tag ‘projectbway’, as that is where all the teams, challenges, team rankings, and other notices will be posted.

cosette! i’m sorry for disappearing again, a lot was going on; I wanted to tell you I finished the henna wars though! I really loved it and I think it will be in the top 3 of my favourite books once I read it again, which I’m planning to do soon.

It was just really good and I love how even though there were some bad parts (like triggering bad, not bad itself) it was still really lighthearted and Nishat ended up successful and happy. It also really warmed my heart to see her parents end up accepting her, and like I just love the book so much I don’t even have the words to describe it but yeah, it was really nice.

I also liked the writing style and the setting, I love contemporary books a lot. I’m so glad I read it and I can’t wait to reread it. Oh also, the characters were written really realistically, I liked the development they have and how their arguments and talks seem realistic to their personalities. I also love the relationships both platonic and romantic like Nishat and Flávia’s relationship was so sweet and I think it was built-up well. Also I loved Nishat and Priti and how they were both so supportive of each other, it reminds me of the relationship I have with my sister.

Also, Earl grey bread sounds really great! I’ll have to make it sometime. As for quarantine hobbies, I’ve been learning to cook more savory foods, as well as starting up with editing again and writing, and starting up with reading again! I think I might read Cemetary Boys next. On the topic of editing, how did you get into editing, and what inspires you to edit? - 🖤

i’m so glad that you loved the henna wars + that you have a supportive relationship with your sister!! i’d love to reread it soon but unfortunately i am currently buried in a pile of ARCs and other books to read first! maybe if - when i ever get caught up...? i’ve definitely added it to the “reread” list of my notion though - i’m obsessed with notion right now, and have been using it for everything!

i've been finding it really difficult to read fantasy books lately (pretty much since quarantine started), and it’s lowkey frustrating for me because there are so many good fantasy books that are on my tbr but i just can’t get into any of them? i’ve got a couple fantasy ARCs to read though, so fingers crossed i can get into those! i think it’s also easier for me to buddy read & to read ARCs because i feel like i have to be “accountable”?

i’m so excited for you to start cemetery boys! i absolutely loved it and reread it pretty recently. some friends and i started a book blog (!!!!) and i’m actually posting about cemetery boys tomorrow!

i actually got into editing many years ago !! i took a graphics class in high school, and that’s where i learned the basics of photoshop & illustrator (which i never use now, but maybe some day i’ll get back into it), and then started editing through that! i took a break for a while, but am back due to quarantine! when i read, i like to write down quotes for edits and then go through that document when i’m in the mood to edit - or doing challenges such as @projectbway, @projectliterature, or editing challenges i do with friends also help. i’ve also got ... some edits from my last celebration to do, but i’ve been pretty overwhelmed with things lately, so i haven’t done any of those yet! i can’t wait to see your edits -- if you’d like, you can tag me usercossette or storyseekers!
