Cold Days Are Made Warm With Love And Laughter

Well! With that last ask I was able to finish this fic! Hope y’all enjoy!

Hunter stepped into the house, shivering, wet, cold, and frowning grumpilly. He shucked off his coat and boats, shaking the snow from his everywhere. “Darius! I’m home!” “In the kitchen! Did you have a good time with your friends?” his guardian's voice called from inside the house. “If you consider getting partially buried under a huge pile of snow a “good time” then yeah, I had the time of my life.” the teen grumped, stomping his way to his room so he could at least change into something dry and warm.

He had just finished changing when he heard a knock on his door, “Little Prince? Are you alright?” “Just peachy!” he snarked back.

“...I made hot cocoa, do you want some?”

…”Yeah.”

He opened his door to a smiling Darius, two mugs of steaming cocoa in his hands. He stepped to the side to let him in and shut the door behind him as he flopped onto his bed. “I’m cold…” Dairus tutted rubbing his back, “Poor thing. Let me guess, you lost the snow war?” “I WAS BETRAYED BY MY COMRADES! WILLOW AND GUS TURNED ON ME!” he cried, “I SHALL NEVER FORGIVE THIS!” “Till you see them tomorrow for Flyer Derby Practice.” Darius chuckled.

“Till I see them tomorrow for Flyer Derby Practice.” he grumbled back, looking at Darius with a pout. “We were supposed to take down Luz, Amity, and Vee together! But they betrayed me and now I’m cold and sad! They made a cold and sad boy!” Darius snorted, “And here I thought I was supposed to be the drama queen.” Hunter huffed, but there was a bit of a smile on his lips.

Darius smirked and ruffled his still cold and damp hair, “Come on, the fire’s going, we have cocoa, I can put on that weird movie you like, and we can warm up. Sound good?” 

“I guess. Depends on what “weird movie” you mean.” “The one about the girl who goes through a tiny door into some other world? It’s all nice at first but it goes bad after a while?” “Oh! Then yes! Absolutely! Let’s go!” Hunter quickly stood, careful not to toss the cocoa as he dashed to the living room, Darius meandering along behind him. The pair settled on the couch, the movie playing as they sipped on their drinks. Darius glanced at his charge, the boy was smiling, happily curled against his side, eyes glued on the screen, the picture of contentment. Oh… he couldn’t help it, he just looked so cute! He casually put his arm around Hunter, nearly cooing when he snuggled more into him. Hunter was none the wiser when he felt the light wiggly poking on his side. His grin grew and he wiggled slightly. “Hehe, D-Darius! I’m tryhihing to watch the mohovie!” “So am I! But you’re giggling is making it rather difficult.” he smirked back, his hand coming down and poking at his belly, making the teen curl up around his arm, giggling louder. “Dahahahrius! Nohohohoho! Sthahahap tiihihihickling!” “Mmmm, let me think… No.” he jiggled his tummy lightly, making the boy squeal.

“Eehehehehehehe! Dahahahahrius! Ahahahahaha!” He giggled adorably, batting at the older witches hand, “S-sthahahahahap! Thahahahat tihihihickles!” “Does it? I had no idea! That’s so fascinating, tell me more.” Darius teased, putting his coco down to squeeze the boys sides. “Aaahahahahahahaha! Noooooohhohooho!” Hunter squealed, snorting a bit as he wiggled. Darius chuckled, glancing at the movie when he heard laughter from the screen. The scene gave him an idea… he grinned and summoned several abomination tendrils, shaping them to match the tickly flowers on the screen. “Time for a grand finale!”

Hunter gasped in horror and tried to wiggle away, grinning wide. “No no no no no! Dohohohon’t!” “Too late! Doing it!” Darius grinned, setting the abomination flowers at the boy, they nipped and nudged and nuzzled at his ribs, hsi belly, and his feet. Darius grinned evilly as he lifted Hunter's arms a bit, letting the flowers get to his worst spot.

And oh…. Oh how this poor boy scrumpt. “AAAAAAAAAAAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! NOOOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHHOHOHOHOHO! OH TITAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAN! DAHAHAHAHHHAARIUS! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAH!” he cackled, kicking and jumping about as he was tickled silly. “My! Such tickly little things! I’ll have to use this move more often!” he laughed, dispelling the abominations after a moment.

Hunter flopped on his chest, giggling and squeaking still. “Yohohohou… are the wohohohorst… ever…”

The former coven head rolled his eyes, hugging his charge close. “Well it cheered you up didn’t it? And don’t you feel all warm and fuzzy inside?

The teen pouted, “...maybe. Shut up! Watch the dumb movie!” He laughed, ruffling Hunter’s hair as he turned back to the movie. “Whatever you want, little prince. Whatever you want.”

I was just righteously annoying one of my dogs - I mean poking him, giggling in his face, tickling his feet, the poor guy is just trying to relax on the sofa and I am just going full toddler on him because I'm home alone and it's his job to entertain me now so here we are.

Anyway several minutes into this sheer animal abuse I am poking at him and giving it the ole high pitched EEHEHEHEHEHEHE and look at our other dog (on the other sofa) and she looks me square in the eyes and then tucks her paws underneath herself SO deliberately I got guilty immediately and left her brother alone, free of my shenaniganning
